I can’t rave about this enough

I absolutely love this service. It eliminates having to spend hours in the store and took me less than 10 minutes to pull in, have them load my groceries, sign my digital receipt and then leave the parking lot! A normal shopping trip for the amount of stuff I got today is easily a five hour trip from start to finish. This took about an hour and ten minutes(I was price comparing on quite a few items which wasted a lot of my time.) I just can’t explain how happy this makes me and how much time and money it saves as well. I work 50 hours a week, manage the housework and have to do the grocery shopping as well as cook dinner for a household of six people. After a normal day of just working, cooking and cleaning the last thing I want to do is grocery shop and I especially don’t want to give up my Saturday to do it either. When it first came out they didn’t offer pick up for refrigerated items or produce but now that they do you can shop completely online, pay for it and pick it all up with minimal effort. I’ve recommended it to all my friends and now I recommend it to everyone I don’t personally know. It’s quick, it’s easy, and you can avoid the anxiety of having to go into the store and dealing with whatever the universe decides to throw at you inside Walmart. Get it, try it, fall in love with it.

One of the best-designed apps I’ve ever used

Just came here to say 2 things: 1) that WalmartGroceryShopping is one of the most intuitively designed apps I’ve ever used. I work in tech so I know how much time and effort go into figuring out how the right flows and building them into the product, so hats off to the Walmart mobile devs/designers/product peeps. You guys and gals have done an amazing job.

And 2) For feedback, I’ll only say that I really want to rate the associates who get my groceries. They are super friendly and always a pleasure to interact with, and without fail they ask me to rate them by clicking the link on the email. The only problem with this is that, despite my truest intentions to find this email and rate them, I never actually get around to digging through my Gmail inbox for the message with the link. It would be amazing if either of the following happened: 1) the link came in SMS immediately after I signed and accepted the groceries, so I could do it from my car before driving away; or 2) if it was part of WalmartGroceryShopping experience and came as a push notification immediately after the pickup or even x hours after. The point is that it’s not intuitive to rate associates, so I never do it. Please add an in-app associate rating feature!

Again, claps for a stellar app ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Great if you don't mind getting ripped off.

I wanted to love WalmartGroceryShopping and service. So convenient! But this "free" service has hidden costs in over-charges that you won't notice unless you actually take a detailed look at your receipt afterwards. And they don't give you a receipt in person, so you can only find out they charged you too much a few hours later in a super confusing email receipt. And the real kicker is, even though Walmart has a reputation for customer service, THEY WILL DO NOTHING to make it right. If you go in the store, they act almost like you bought it at a totally different store and so they "can't do anything." If you call costumer service, they give you the run-around and tell you to go to the store. We were over-charged on two different occasions (at two different Walmart locations). The first time, we were charged the "approximate" price rather than the actual price on a meat item that was priced based on weight (they picked out a small piece of meat that was supposed to cost less, the cost was printed right on the front of it). The second time, we requested to NOT purchase one of the substituted items on our order, and they didn't give us the item, but they charged us for it anyway. The whole system is either poorly designed or just intentionally designed to rip people off. I like to think the system is just still new and they are working out the bugs, but either way, I'm not going to use this service anymore, and I don't recommend it.

Recently very unhappy!

Up until the last couple months I would have rated this 5 out of 5 stars and I’m sad that I can’t right now! I have been very unhappy with Walmart’s product availability the last few orders I have picked up have had at LEAST 2-5 items in my cart out of stock including BASIC items like CELERY?!?! That’s ridiculous to me, your a grocery store that’s out of basic celery? I have been a loyal customer to Walmart and do all my shopping here for over 10 years now and LOVE the pick up option but it’s very disappointing as of late, I am actually writing this review still parked at the pick up location because I was so upset again, they were out of dog food, celery, vitamin water, rice, and they have been out of my Starbucks Vanilla roast coffee for literally 3 months now? They always stop carrying items I LOVE and don’t want to buy other places but your forcing me to start going elsewhere now. I hope you can fix the availability issues because it’s been a problem lately for many people I know and myself. I have to go to another store now in the rain and waste more time and money AGAIN because they are out of basic ingredients for my dinner tonight it’s becoming routine and aggravating. Thank you everything else is great service and speed and ease of website as long as you have the products we need. Thank you

Love Walmart grocery pickup!

I’ve been using WalmartGroceryShopping for a year and besides a few things with inventory (not being updated occasionally on something not being in stock) this has been amazing. I’m a busy mom of 2 so the convenience is wonderful. A lot of people leaving these negative reviews need to remember that complaining about a customer service experience in stores doesn’t have much to do with WalmartGroceryShopping. You’re ruining this apps rate because you complain about unrelated things. I want to add that WalmartGroceryShopping is definitely worth it. We’re on a budget and this allows me to stay within budget every time. They give you the option in WalmartGroceryShopping to decide if you want to substitute items or not. This means that if an item is not available they’ll
Give you a more expensive or larger item just like it for the same price as the one you ordered. Let’s say you ordered great value brand bacon but they were out, so they gave you black label bacon for the same price. It’s more expensive but it’s not for you because the inventory issue was on them. It’s an awesome feature that Walmart offers and I wish I could rate them higher. Remember that customer service experiences deal with a certain stores themselves, not WalmartGroceryShopping.

Total time saver!

This is amazing and I’m so glad that Wal-Mart started doing this. You add your groceries to your cart and choose when you want to pick everything up. Pick up times were available with just a few hours notice so it’s possible to get things the same day. You have the option to accept substitutions or not. And if an item isn’t available then it tells you that in the email once you’re order has been collected. I like being able to shop while doing price comparison of brands. You can save a lot of money if you aren’t picky. And roll back items are clearly marked in red. I placed my order for pick up the next morning between 8-9 am. At 7:40 I got the email that my order was ready. You check in on WalmartGroceryShopping and it uses gps to track your location so that they know when you’ll get there. You can even say what color your car is so that they can find you easier. The employees were super friendly. They load your car for you and you sign a digital receipt and then you’re good to go. I love being able to do my grocery shopping at home and spend just 20 minutes at the store instead of an hour. I’ll be using this service a lot!

Substitutions in the app

Hello I use Grocery deliveries through Walmart and Instacart two out of my last three orders from Walmart home delivery did not include my eggs this made it very frustrating, I find it hard to believe you cannot substitute the eggs the store is full of eggs. There has to be a way with an update to WalmartGroceryShopping prior or during the shopping just like Instacart that says if the 18 pack of eggs is not available can we substitute it with just one dozen eggs or something along those lines. I do not drive anymore I really appreciate Walmart home delivery and Instacart delivery for my groceries. Instacart always let you know ahead of time if something may be out of stock and ask your permission to substitute it even if it costs a little bit more I would’ve paid more, please breakfast is so very important I want my eggs in my belly every morning there has to be a way you can fix this it’s a really nice application but not getting what you put on the shopping list especially something as basic as eggs milk bread etc. it has to be fixed communication between the shopper and the buyer is such an easy thing you could fix with WalmartGroceryShopping thank you for your attention.

Waste of time due to Walmart inventory

So I needed three items: sodas, trash bags, clothes hangers. The sodas aren’t always in stock so I switched my pick up store 21 that was 15 minutes away even though I live right next to one. I only drink diet Sunkist so I decided to order ten 12 packs of diet Sunkist. It was clear Walmart thought they had this soda at the store because I was able to choose a maximum of 18 where other stores did not have any available. I arrived and waited five minutes for the associate to show it might show up at my vehicle. The only thing they had of my order was the hangers; they didn’t even have 30 gallon hefty trash bags which was an item that I allowed for substitution. So for a $50 order I ended up only being able to pick up about three or four dollars worth of it. I fault Walmart inventory management for this issue. And, I don’t buy that this could be a shoplifted item for the reason inventory is off because there’s no way 12 packs of soda (18 of them) are walking out of the store. I did subsequently go into the store and verify the items were not there. Had Walmart inventory told me this I would not have wasted my time with this order. A company like Walmart where items are scanned as they leave the store really has no excuse for this gross in accuracy in inventory. I’ll give them another couple of years to get their act together before I attempt this again.

5 star app, 10 star service!!

I read a few reviews and decided to give this a try. We live in a small town so we know or are related to half the employees and a simple milk grab normally takes 45 minutes. Last night, My wife and I made out our weekly list and paid for everything online. I got an email this morning saying our order was ready so off I went. WalmartGroceryShopping tracks your location so they knew how far I was away from the store. When I pulled into the parking lot a notification popped up asking me to choose the number of the parking spot I was in and what color my car was. By the time I got out of the car, a young lady was already there with my order. She checked my ID, I declined a substitution they had made on one item and it was removed from my order, I signed the digital receipt, and she loaded up the car. The entire process took 10 minutes!!! I couldn’t be happier with this. Also, just to test it (and because we needed it) I added on non-grocery items like cat food and some flex tape and it was all there! This is the best service ever! I’m telling everyone about it.

Fix it already ‼️‼️‼️

So favorites hasn’t worked for A LONG LONG TIME, OVER 6 months & my old review is gone AGAIN‼️ so again I say, fix it or get rid of it‼️‼️‼️ EVEN WITH THE CURRENT VERSION I STILL HAVE TO SEACH ALMOST EVERY ITEM TO ADD MY FAVORITES TO MY CART, instead of just being able to look at a list of my favorites and see what is and is not in stock of just my favorites, to have to go through every freaking gallon of milk in the entire sticking store & I’m really tired of half by order being out of stock, (when WalmartGroceryShopping says it’s in stock & getting broken eggs, expired food, wrong products checked thru as the right product, & I no longer allow them to do substitutions because they pick things without logic‼️‼️‼️ and when WalmartGroceryShopping says things are in stock, & the store says they’re not, and you walk in the store to see if it is because you’re sick of it, and it is on the shelf, you just want to scram‼️‼️‼️ but the Juliet boulevard location has been out of stock of half the stuff for over a year, their shelves are always half empty, but you drive to North Tamiami Trail and their store is clean and their staff is helpful and their shelves are full‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ but stupid Juliet is a training store⁉️ somebody needs to plug in their brain‼️‼️‼️ North Tamiami Trail is the best Walmart in this town and we have 6‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ I’ve started shopping at Target again because I’m sick of it‼️‼️‼️

Convenient Service. Terribly Results.

We, like many families, decided to use the Walmart grocery store app to order our groceries for pick up. This service seems like a great idea in the beginning. However, in time we found that it causes more of an inconvenience and having to go back to the store for items that they were on able to process. The service allows for substitutions on your order if the given item is not available.

This seems like a great idea in the beginning. What do you end up with is a substitution process that gives you items that aren’t related to the things that you wanted. Different dosages on OTC medications, different juices, different flavors, etc. Instead of finding a similar item and flavor, they substitute the brand with whatever price online is best.

Examples would be giving 5 mg tablet of melatonin instead of 3mg, giving fruit punch instead of lemonade, different flavors of purchased items. If this does not bother you, then please give the service a try. Otherwise, avoid it. Realistically, doing research on certain foods and brands doesn’t mean anything when they automatically our substituted for something different. Not a one star review as it has some value if you do not care about getting what you put in your electronic cart.

What happened???

The service was great, then the holidays came and the service went from 5 star to 2, 2 stars is being generous. Last time I waited over 90 minutes and the items they were out of kept increasing while I waited. I have never had to get my grocery list out to confirm I was getting all the products that I were charged, but they were missing so many items that were supposed to be in the order. As I write this I have been waiting for 40 minutes. The delivery option is so expensive and you are supposed to tip the drivers. At least curbside the employee’s are not supposed to take tips.
I do like the fact that I can use my own bags. They need to stagger the pick up times or have more staff because the service is becoming more popular. I like the service because it keeps me out of the store and stops my impulse shopping. One solution they can do is to acknowledge the driver when they arrive and be honest, say the order is not ready. it will be ready in xx amount of time. If they did this I can do other errands wile they prepare my order. Or at least know that I have not been forgotten. The service has a lot of potential, it needs to be adjusted and tweaked until they can give the service that it once was.

Great service but missing features?

So we finally decided to give this service a shot last weekend. I was given a $10 off referral bonus so it was a no brainier, plus the lines had been pretty long the last couple of times I went into the store (is this by design to move more customers to online pickup?). Adding items to my cart and placing the order was amazing, super simple and super accurate (at least where I live).

The problem came at the end. I always use Walmart Pay on my iPhone when I buy things in the store because A) it allows for Savings Catcher submissions, and B) it allows me to print out my receipt from home so that I can submit my purchases to iBotta and Coinout. Well, after a lot of research and contacting customer service we discovered that all of these options are currently unsupported with grocery pickup.

I love WalmartGroceryShopping and that $10 off coupon made it worthwhile, but I average about $5-10 off per visit due to iBotta, and if that’s gonna go away then I guess I’m back to standing in lines at the store. If they ever implement Savings Catcher and a way to actually print my receipt (instead of the version in the email) I’ll move this up to 5 stars. Fingers crossed!

Love it Love it Love it

I really love this new way of doing my grocery shopping. WalmartGroceryShopping save me the frustration and aggravating of going inside dealing with the ridiculous lines at checkout plus the attitude of fellow shoppers. But huge factor for me is the money it is saving me from over spending or picking up unnecessary stuff that I always think I need. It keeps my budget in line.
In a previous review I gave it 5 stars but now I am withdrawing one star for the simple reason is WalmartGroceryShopping is not intergrade with the Walmart app with the saving catcher; before you can put in your receipt number manually into saving catcher and take advantage of it but now Walmart decided to stop that and only give you credit of the saving catcher only via Walmart Pay. That’s a huge disappointment to me because I used the grocery app every week and now I can no longer get credit from saving catcher... why can’t they link the saving catcher also to the grocery app🤷🏾‍♂️...Please fix that it’s wrong because Walmart pay does not work on the grocery app.

Hit or Miss

I use WalmartGroceryShopping bi weekly because I do not have a car. So apps like this and instacart are essential for getting our groceries delivered. I am a mom of 2 so this makes my life really easy. With the delivery aspect it can go really wrong. I am vegetarian and they have substituted items with meat, rendering them useless to me. I wish in this regard they were more like instacart and more interactive. If I could choose what items are acceptable replacements or be able to have the person picking my food contact me and notify me and either refund me or let me pick my item I’d like to replace it with. Another BIG ISSUE I’ve had is where the driver delivered our $300 grocery order to the wrong apartment. I Live in a complex and they delivered it to god knows who. The person signed too. The driver was completely uncooperative and Walmart accepted no responsibility. So essentially they can just give your order to anyone and as long as the person signs it won’t make any difference! This is wrng! I was pregnant when this happened so you can imagine how upsetting this was. They should require to show ID for the person who placed the order to avoid this happening
