InstaShop: Grocery Delivery Reviews

in terms of accuracy regarding the available products, which has really caused me to write a million complaints -just about every single time i try and make an order- it’s unbelievable how many errors could happen through InstaShop.. not sure if it’s InstaShop or the supermarket but it’s probably the updated connection between both that seems to be totally lost and horribly delayed.
the delay is seriously annoying, and after waiting for over an hour it turns out that half of the products are out of stock and absurd lags could take place at the point of substituting the products and this whole process is really chaotic. it’s seriously disappointing because it’s comforting to use but then there’s so much hassle around a simple order and it’s all just messed up over technical errors that should really be handled better.. especially after a thousand complaints

this app is as good as the shops that they are dealing with . As an application it’s convenient to order your small groceries without the hassle of calling the shop directly at anytime and wherever their is an internet connection ,that’s excellent however their is always the shop itself and their services , some of them are cool and minimum mistakes and some of them are long delays and a lot of mistake and confusion , it’s up to the user to pick and choose from which shop to buy .

Overall , I am very pleased with this application , using it daily .

One more thing , this app gives points (lira) that can save you at the end of the month when you are very short on cash and you need a to buy cig and Diet Pepsi 😅😅

I thought I found a good and convenient app to shop from home. When I go ahead to make a purchase it first takes 1aed. I thought this was a precautionary thing to make sure the credit card works and/or has funds or that they were waiting to confirm the shop has the chosen items. The 1aed isn’t deducted from the final amount either it’s an unnecessary fee that is not advertised beforehand. My relative experienced the same thing so it wasn’t just me. Unfortunately this feels very scammy and I will be deleting InstaShop unless the mistake is rectified.
Edit: they refunded the 1aed dirhams. Hope it doesn’t happen again. Changed my rating from 1 star to 4.

The concept behind InstaShop is good, however, in real life it fails to meet the needs of the customers. Items that are unavailable are not marked so when you place an order you get updates to find replacement items. The other issue is the delivery. They estimate a delivery time, but can’t commit to it. Give them an extra 15-20 minutes when ordering as they are never on time.
The customer service guys follow up if you place a complaint or wish to cancel an order that’s been delayed. They are not problem solvers rather chatty men who just want to hear their own voices rather than solve the problem. If they bother to call the least they should do is offer to reimburse the delivery fee whenever there are issues with the items or delivery time.
Still a long way to go to meet what InstaShop set out to achieve!

I love using InstaShop. Not only is it convenient, but the customer service, when something doesn’t arrive on time or is inaccurate, is excellent!!! They give you a call and actively work with the shop to resolve your issue and they very obviously have been trained well on how to handle customer complaints. This company should serve as an example to many other companies on how to do customer service right!!! For this reason, I will keep using InstaShop and continue to support them with my business.

Had a good first experience using InstaShop , instantly informed through InstaShop of the unavailable products and prompted to choose replacements or cancel. Also, good follow up from the market personnels and delivery person. The delivery time would have been better but was delayed due to traffic issues, and I was informed of the possible delay in due time.
Needs to include more markets and services in my area (Alexandria, Egypt) for a wider variety of products and price ranges. So far is good but can be better.

What was supposed to be 80 mins , became a 7 hours wait time!!? Such poor customer service. If you need to report an issue, report it & you’ll receive a text stating who’ll handle your case and to show you how much they care. BUT the catch is you’ll continue to wait for a minimum of an hour before anyone gets back to you. & when they do, it’s basically a waste of time as nothing will be resolved. This is my second issue report of the day was was done more than an hour ago & I’m yet to get any call back, and I don’t think they’ll be answering as they just gave me 8 AED points in my InstaPoints for an order worth around 200 DHS… Don’t waste your time on InstaShop.

Would be great to see separately the items on sale at grocery shops.
Would be great to collect points like customer can collect points on the shop’s own app, f.e. Carrefoure app /Carrefoure point
Would be great not to get a lot of plastic bags with the orders and see that shops try to be more environment friendly.
Would be great to have the possibility to give tip to the delivery person via InstaShop at grocery shops. Since COVID we do not have coins/cash as before to give them tip.

It’s the worst app ever, nothing will be delivered on time. After every incident I promise to myself that I won’t order again but then after few weeks I try again just because I thought may be their service has improved but every time same mistakes. Their customer support is even worst, they won’t give you any update.

I use this application on a daily basis for a lot of different needs and of course there have been a few mishaps. The customer service representatives will call directly and also email when needed but unfortunately dealing with them has not been good. Always making the customer to be wrong when it is the market’s error or when the market will charge more on produce than what it requested. I find great use in the application but dread dealing with their customer service.

I use Instacart when I order for my mom in the States and it is not as good as this app. InstaShop is designed for ease of use. Instacart is worth 2 Billion USD and this app is worth 360 million at present. Those numbers need to be switched around. It takes me an hour to do a full order of groceries on the Instacart app on my iPhone (what I can do in ten minutes on my phone).

Started using this app recently and was very impressed with the delivery service of the shops. It proved to be very convenient and efficient. In light of this, I tried out the maid service but was very disappointed. The maid worked slowly and poorly. It was as though she did not even clean after 3 hours. Will never use that service again!

I’ve ordered many times and every single time I have to make a substitutions or the item is out of stock bc the inventory is not updated. They usually try to rectify but there needs to be improvements. It’s such a great concept but the platform needs improvement and and a way for stores to update their inventory. I don’t trust the rave reviews. I have ordered a dozen times and most orders, I end up with more frustration than it’s worth. I deleted InstaShop today.
Don’t pay with credit card Bc most likely half your items won’t be available- better cash. GOOD LUCK

Made an order that said 60 min deliver. 140 mins later, supermarket finally answered and said they r not sure. Finally customer service called me and are finally trying to figure it out. First and last time i order from instastop. How on earth did this company sell for $360 million?? Someone hustled and someone got ripppppped offffff. Terrible and pathetic

Love ordering from your app, you have saved me many unnecessary calls. Just one request, if u can please open up all InstaShop again when there is something missing that would be great, cause sometimes the recommendations arent very accurate, other than that 5 stars!

Booked 2 maids for 2 hours. Got 1 maid for an hour and all she did is call the driver / second maid and keep asking me if they can get a third maid and finish early. I finally had to ask her to leave because she wasn’t cleaning properly just moving things haphazardly while calling driver and other maids. The other maids never showed up. I’ve paid for 4 hours and barely had one hour. In addition they made me repeat story to customer service then said very sorry you have to speak to another department to get a refund and put me on hold for so long the phone died.

InstaShop has so many bugs let alone features that should be expected to be there but are missing. The most annoying issue is messaging when you send a request and it’s assigned to customer service you get a push notif telling you the issue is resolved that leads to nowhere. You tap it and it takes you to the home of InstaShop . It doesn’t live anywhere in InstaShop . So message center nothing. You don’t even get an email for it. Ugh.

I've used InstaShop for a prolonged period of time. At first they were great then the service started to deteriorate very fast! Deliveries are always late take more than 1 hour and in some cases more than 2 then the products received are wrong! Very poor customer service that keep promising improvements without any actions to back it up! I recommend using InstaShop if you need to stress a lot about getting an order of groceries at a very critical time; be sure you NEVER EVER WILL GET YOUR ORDER ON TIME... Best thing to do is delete InstaShop and go grocery shopping.

Every time I have ordered through InstaShop , my purchases are almost always an hour past my scheduled delivery time. Customer service has been great every time but when the store does not even send my delivery out until well past the delivery time, it’s hard to continuously have faith in the company

I see things marked out of stock, but it seems almost every time I order, I get a notification that something that I’ve ordered that wasn’t marked out of stock is. I have to end up replacing or canceling my order. It should be marked out of stock like the other products that are. My not be the apps issue.
Otherwise I do enjoy InstaShop .

I was skeptical but everything ran smoothly. I was called to set the delivery time and I was called again to be told things were out of stock. Good quality products were delivered. I will InstaShop again.

More vendors should sign up for this app. This is one of my only way to shops when life gets busy...and this app customer service is always responsive of here’s an issue. Thanks for making my life easier!

InstaShop is very convenient when you want to order and prefer to see what you’re getting instead of guessing over the phone. Only problem is right now only Metro Markets is participating - they should add more stores.

Has saved me so many times. Would love to see an order review page with purchase details listed as it would save me from having to keep previous receipts.

I have had several incidents where I chose to charge my card and when the shop delivery arrives they say they didn’t get a payment. I then call insta shop and ask and they insist the payment was made despite me not receiving an sms from the bank.

InstaShop had a flaw for canceling my order, therefore I reported it. The customer support called me instantly and fixed my problem

Delivery means within the same day. That’s all I ask. And you guys are doing great! Figure it out how to keep up with the new ways of food shopping.
