Not impressed

When you listen to a voicemail and halfway though it you decide you don’t need to hear it, we’ll you’re going to anyway. It doesn’t stop...ever. You can delete it, refresh the tab, close 3CX ...nothing can stop it. So let’s say you get a 2 minute voicemail and 15 seconds in you know it’s junk or unnecessary, you will be forced to listen to the remaining 1:45 of the message. That’s one of several flaws with 3CX...I’ve wasted enough of my time on this, download it and experience all the fun for yourself.

Very in accessible now.

I am a blind colleague, working for the street trust. And this update now, has completely broken voice overs accessibility. When you try to swipe left or right and when you also tried to click on things nothing happens. So for now I would recommend that you wait until three CX updates 3CX. In fact I would recommend that this update be dropped now, and replaced with a whole fresh update that is 100% screen reader accessible. Thank you

As long as I’m connected to Wi-Fi , 3CX seems to work well. However when I leave my office and I’m depending upon cellular service, I find that sometimes the caller cannot hear me, or I cannot hear them.

I also have a lot of issues inside of my office in areas where the Wi-Fi coverage is not as good secondary to the lead walls in the x-ray department.

I can’t always rely upon receiving text messages from my staff on this app which is annoying not to have 100% consistency. I recently used the WebEx conference calling and was able to easily connect with another caller without any issues. Quality was quite good and I was impressed with the ease of use.

If I use my cell phone to call the recipient who works in an older building utilizing older equipment I can hear them, but frequently they can’t hear me. In other words, outbound call reception Is not only based upon reception in my office, but it also is dependent upon the quality of the equipment on the receiving end. I find that this variable is also Problematic.

Overall, i’m a little frustrated that I don’t seem to have 100% reliability with this this app system.

Please update

3CX had worked great for me. I work in a school and have to be able to answer the phone wherever I am in the building. It won’t connect anymore since updating to iOS 14, so 3CX is useless until this gets fixed. I look forward to an update thank you this app!!

Great App!

3CX is very intuitive. Most of the complaints from reviewers are in relation to cellular quality. That is the nature of a pbx mobile app. It is dependent on stable internet connection which can be affected by a wide array of factors. 3CX works really well and supports video chat.

Poor Design

Hiding Voice Mail in SETTINGS seems like a really poor design choice. I can't think of any app that I've ever used that put a major function in such a non-intuitive place. I actually can't think of an app that puts any functions in Settings. Also agree with previous reviewer about the inability to stop a voicemail while playing, or to "scrub" forward or backward.

Please add Siri Support!!

I used to able to start a call in this app using SIRI. However after the last update I can no longer do that. I use it for work and being able use that feature save me a lot of time and was safer while driving.

Hated it!

Not sure what happened, if it’s my phone, 3CX or whoever sets the phones at the office. Was able to turn off the notification of my cell phone while in the office and whenever it wasn’t my week. Now I don’t have that on 3CX no more. Tried to get some help from the representative in charge of my office and she wasn’t much help even though I sent the screenshot of how everything looks.

Go to over mesh

This is a great app. 3CX and self hosted raspi this app would be the go to set up for emergency communication if the pbx could send push notifications to ring phone without an internet connection. I’m going to stick with it and start building a mesh in my area.

Not received incoming calls

I just updated my phone to the latest version of IOS 15.2.1 and I no longer receive incoming calls… how do I fix this ?!

Perfect Application

We have been using 3CX for our office workers in addition to their desktop IP phones. It works great and very convenient to all no matter where a worker is. The vice quality is super!

Needs much work!

3CX crashes now when I try to select and call a number from my recents list. It seemed like it was fixed with one update then broken again on the next update. I have to click the info icon on the recent call, memorize the extension, and then dial that on the keypad of my iPhone.

Stop bad mouthing me to my clients

On first connection to any v16 server, the new version of 3CX basically tells the user that their admin is doing a bad job because the server version is so old and v18 has been out so long that maybe they should click this link to host with this app for free.

That’s a low thing to do to the people that helped build your brand for so many years.

No option for actual silence

Ringtone “silence” still vibrates when My mobile phone is set to silent. Add an option for “none” (screen notifications only) and I’d consider improving my rating. Very annoying to be sitting at my desk and the phone vibrates every time my desktop set rings.

VM buried and no watch support

If you use an Apple Watch 3CX will not notify you if an incoming call on the watch. It will show that missed call notification on the Apple Watch.

Voicemail, one of the most commonly used things in this phone app, is buried under several menus.

Contacted the developer and they have no intention of addressing these any time soon.

Getting better but still not user focused

One glaring issue is that the icon on my phone home screen does not show the little red dot when there are new sms/chat messages. It does do this for missed calls. I don't care about missed calls is the issue. But we definitely need to see unread messages.

Why do calls not ring on my Apple Watch?

I keep my phone on silent and DND during work hours. When I get a call the phone does not vibrate and my watch does not show an incoming call like a regular cellular phone call.

This causes me to constantly miss incoming this app calls. I have to keep my phone within direct view at all times.

Latest update ruined good service

I was so happy with 3CX before it was updated. Now I cannot change my stratus from my phone, extensions don’t show up and it doesn’t inform me when the call is coming in through 3CX as opposed to my personal number. This is very disappointing. Please fix it!

Calls stopped ringing on cell phone

I use 3CX for work on both my computer and cellphone. Calls randomly stopped coming in on my cell phone. I still get voicemail and missed call notifications though. Strange

3CX only lets me know when I have missed a call, live calls do not ring through even with 3CX sitting open. Done all the troubleshooting fix attempts. I'm VERY frustrated as this was a part of my ability to work from home and on the go.

Great when it works, but it’s horribly unreliable

I really want to love 3CX, but I can’t. When it works, it works great! The problem is that it’s just not reliable. I use 3CX only when I’m in my office with my iPhone connected to my office’s wi-fi. Frequently (but not always) when my iPhone is connected to my AirPods and I launch it and make a call, the call connects and I can hear the recipient, but the recipient cannot hear me. When I click the speaker button on the “in-call” screen, it says it’s connected to the AirPods, yet the recipient can’t hear me. And it’s not just with Apple’s Bluetooth AirPods. This also frequently happens with Apple’s wired EarPods. In addition, I can never successfully make 2 calls in a row without having to force the program closed. The first call connects, but the second call doesn’t. Basically, I have to force-close 3CX after every single call. Occasionally even a force-close doesn’t help either and I end up having to reboot the phone for 3CX to start working again. This is all on a brand-new iPhone XS Max running iOS 12.1. I had the same results with my previous iPhone 8+.

good and and room to improve

very please with how 3CX works with 4G and wifi. it adapts good when moving from lan to cel signal.

would love to see vide integration and faster connection to out pbx. cannot believe BRIA or other sip clients connect way faster to this app pbx than their own client.

in general there is room for optimization. 3CX is not as small footprint as I would like. but overall I recommend it :) !!

Started strong and went downhill

I’m typically not a 1 star reviewer...but it has gotten so bad that I cannot even leave my office and accept a call.

As a reservations person for large activity center, I rely on connectivity and mobility. When we first signed up, I was able to move all over island and about my day while having no problem connecting a call. The product was superior to ATT Ring Central. We were happy.

Now it barely can register to the network and when it does it gives a spinning wheel of death trying to connect a call. If you change cell towers once a call is connected, it drops the call. If you switch from WiFi to cell tower once a call is connected it drops the call.

I’ve been a squeaky wheel with our IT providers who administer this product and turns out it is the product itself that has failed.

I would like answers and a response from this app directly but they never seem to want to hear from customers directly and all calls must be administered through our IT provider.

If you are with this app and would like to give me a call, you can get our contact information from Data Voice Options out of Colorado. I’m their only client on an island and they have my permission to give you my contact info!

Good app but MAJOR flaw

Good app but there’s no way to keep it from ringing other than disabling the entire account. Which the problem doing that is if you also want to use it for call forwarding after hours then you’d have to remember to re-enable it or else you’d be missing calls and not knowing it. this app needs to simply make an option to set with that presence whether you want to also ring the mobile app. So freaking simple.

And while I’m at it, can you guys PLEASE add an option so people can actually see their presence ON THE PHONE?? Despite what you want people to use, the vast majority of people are going to want to control most things from their desk phone, NOT their mobile app. Come on guys, think practical on this one.

Par app

This would be substantially better if you can stop notifications on the cell phone only. My job has this app as the office line for me and while it is convenient to have it on my phone for emergencies. I don’t always use it on my phone. There is no way at all to stop notifications unless you put the client on “do not disturb”. The problem is that it also sets he client on my computer at work to “do not disturb” as well. If I utilize that feature and forget to change it every day, I am either missing calls while at work or getting calls when I am not at work on my cell. Very irritating and it should be an easy fix...

Great Phone System (PBX)

Excellent phone system for micro business up to enterprise. 3CX is a good complimentary product to accommodate people on-the-move. The call quality is well improved and definitely gets the communication job done! Packed with features to handle inbound calls to your liking. I use Flowroute as my "phone lines" provider IPpbxHost to host my this app system and the whole solution has cut my phone costs by approximately 60%. Our system serves 3 offices and multiple remote workers. Works great!

Theory better than practice

In theory you should be able to make calls from 3CX that would show your office # and not personal cell. Connect you AirPods have the flexibility to work anywhere to make and take calls. In practice 3CX often glitches with not being able to make calls or not being sensitive enough to enter the phone number on the screen - So you ended up entering it slowly or multiple times for it to recognize and go though. Please fix the bugs because the record feature is great!

Ok so far

App has worked ok so far, but I’m wondering about ability to add speed dials and if that is possible. Also can’t seem to find when contact list syncs with outlook but hate that i haven’t been able to see new contacts after I enter them. Admittedly when I want to call someone and realize they aren’t in my list, I add them then so I will have it for next time. My IT Dept suspects they only sync once a day. Also curious whether a note that I called a contact can go right into Salesforce.

Page all fail

I love the ability 3CX provides to answer calls to my desk from outside the office, but when an office wide page goes out 3CX rings. This critical flaw makes 3CX more of a nuisance than it is worth. On any given day I may receive 10 calls to my desk but there will probably be 100 office wide pages. So that means my pocket is constantly buzzing and only a small fraction are actual calls. Most people in our office have deleted 3CX for this issue. The developers MUST figure out how to distinguish between calls and pages otherwise 3CX is seriously flawed.

Do not disturb should mean do not disturb

I like 3CX, use it for work but my complaint is when you put it on do not disturb I still get notifications coming through on my phone and that should not happen.. I have stopped using 3CX via my phone because of this. I have to go into the settings on my phone and turn off the notifications for 3CX when I am not working. Wish this would get fixed!

Pretty good

3CX is pretty good. I like I can walk away and still get phone calls. I wish they wouldn’t have taken away the “play” voicemails feature. Now you have to “play on phone” only and basically call in so no forwarding to someone after listening anymore that way. Bring that back and it would be back up to 4-4.5 stars for me. But a lot of improvements have been made in other areas to make 3CX better.

Doesn’t always work right

Hi, been using 3CX for a while now. Made life great when going out of the country.

Couple of points to fix:
1. Drains the battery very fast
2. First calls received when 3CX isn’t open doesn’t work. I always have to open 3CX after the first call and then from there on further it seems to be fine
3. Calls get scrambled and delayed once someone else phones you or if you receive WhatsApp message
4. Can’t change the ringtones and that one ringtone is getting irritating
5. Spam call Apps don't work through 3CX
6. Blocked numbers can get through
7. International dialing codes in saved phonebook numbers needs to be changed (eg. +27 must be changed to 0 for the number to work)

If some of these points are looked at, I will definitely change my rating.

Great Softphone

The this app softphone app works very well on wifi, LTE, and 3G. It's a great way for me to take business calls on my mobile phone without having to set up forwarding or hand out my personal cell phone number. The call quality is great, and the calls are reliable. I can't say enough good stuff about the this app server and this iOS app.

When setup properly

I see a lot of complaints about drop calls and call quality issues and I can tell you for certain that if you’re using this on a crappy cell phone network or a network with bad signal that will definitely happen.

There are also settings in the system side they can correct a lot of the complaints here including having the cell phone rang at certain times in the day.

I have had a few issues where the caller ID shows from this app but it was a foreign number or an actual number not associated with it.

I would also like to see a video Support added to 3CX.
