The this app app will alert you that an earthquake has occurred and will send a push alert to your mobile device. This alert includes information about the expected shaking intensity at your location and the time until the expected shaking, along with a message instructing you to drop, cover, and hold on. Warning times can range from 10 to 60+ seconds depending on the location, depth, and magnitude of the earthquake’s epicenter. With Bypass Do Not Disturb enabled, you can ensure that the audio alert can be played at any time, even if your phone is on silent or do not disturb allowing you to react in time for the incoming shaking. The this app app uses data provided by the USGS and ShakeAlert. This App is an official pilot created in partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey and should be considered a “beta” product with no implied guarantees. The app covers users while they are physically within the boundaries of the State of California.

The Original!
The first of its kind that I’m aware of! A truly potentially life-saving app! Having lived in earthquake country for 33 years and been through my fair share of them, nothing is worse than being taken by surprise! Sudden shaking is terrifying! This app alleviates that fear by forewarning you to a shaker! It gives you power back, when you feel you have none. Depending on how close and strong the quake is, you’ll still get enough warning to make some vital decisions! Just brilliant!!

Amazing App
If you’re downloading this app in 2020, don’t worry about the review saying it doesn’t work or they’re having problems. The app is now available to the public. All you have to do is download, sign up with your email and choose what magnitude & up you want to be notified at. There was a 3.6 earthquake last night in granada hills and this app alerted me. I’m very pleased with app and recommend all to download! Literally a lifesaving app!

Fantastic App! Easy to use
Functionality is great. Easy to use, notifications are clear, and the added information on what to do during an earthquake is awesome. Knowing what I should do whether I’m inside or outside, in an office or driving, is all really helpful. I can see how this app will save lives
