What is touchControl? The touchControl app allows users to control their Signia/Siemens hearing aids through their mobile device. The app provides full control of hearing aids and enhances discretion by hiding the remote control within the mobile device without the need for additional hardware. The app is only compatible with the latest generation of Signia/Siemens hearing aids and requires configuration by a hearing health specialist.

It works for me
This came along at about a week after I was fitted with my first set of hearing aids. My audiologist did not explain this out to me the very first day because there were many other things that she wanted to explain to me at that time. As it turns out, I think it was a very good decision to wait about a week before revealing the existence of this app. I think that was a good idea because I was busy learning about other features of the hearing aids at that time. I have three programs loaded and I switch between them quite often to experiment with how they deal with various nice situations.

Very convenient
When I go to the gym, it’s very noisy, with clanging and banging and I can simply and easily turn down the volume using this app. After I leave the gym and get into my car I can turn it back up again. Also I can do the same in very noisy restaurants, and I think the directional control helps, when I’m trying to have a conversation in a noisy place. So this is very convenient, and I’m glad I was introduced to it by my hearing aid people.

Review
Thes are my third pair of hearing aids. I thought my last ones from miracle ear were good but these are far better. It took me some time to fully understand what I could do with my smart phone app but it allows me to specialize them for any unusual situation. The various programs get me in the “ballpark” but I have found I can tweak them even more by changing the “ bass- treble “ settings also for a particular environment!!!
