Junk

Maybe this is ok in Europe but it is worthless here in Dallas. Non intuitive. Convoluted interface. Can’t find a 40-year-old address. When connected to sync on my Lincoln navigator there is no voice command function. So if you were driving you can’t enter anything. Unlike Google or Waze or you can just say the address and it pulls it up, here you have to enter in a city into the city field and then wait for it to populate and then select the city, then it asks for the street number, but you can’t enter the street number until you’ve entered the street which is unseen as it’s after the street number so you have to scroll down to the street then you enter in the street name and then you have to select the right street name, then you go back up to the street number and it may or may not find that street number. Pathetic is a good way to describe CarNavigation. I don’t understand somebody paying a dollar for this much less the 70 or so dollars they want for it.

Not sure yet?

Not sure purchase this for my 2017 Jaguar F-Type R but so far cannot connect to the car . Reset/ Restore does nothing . Sent a msg to developer let’s see if there is a response with a solution or if it was a waste of $$.
Quick update the tech support got back to me quickly and with a solution , however after paying 20 plus for the Car navigation I was informed that I did not purchase the correct product and need a connect license . That’s fine I’ll take the hit , but the way your products are labeled and the amount of add one to purchase is confusing . Paying for a product that’s labeled “car navigation “ especially since it’s compatible with the car one would assume that was all you needed . Why would I purchase “car navigation “ if it does not integrate with the car . Anyways like I stated before I’ll take the hit but this is the end of the road for me and this product .

Doesn’t work with my Ford

I was all excited when I hear CarNavigation was available to work with the Sync 3 system in my 2017 Ford Fusion. Well, it doesn’t work. I connect it to my car using the USB cable (since I have an iPhone 7) and all that happens is that a message pops up saying “waiting for device,” but CarNavigation never displays on my car’s screen like it’s supposed to. I’ve reached out several times to the support department at Sygic but the advice they gave didn’t work and they haven’t answered my latest email in nearly a week. Thumbs down on CarNavigation!

UPDATE: CarNavigation still isn’t working, and the support department keeps telling me to do the same things over and over, namely to send him a screenshot (done) and to restart the application, (done). None of their so-called solutions works, this thing just doesn’t work. I guess I foolishly expected their tech-support to be able to do something other than follow a pre-written script full of advice that had already tried on my own before contacting them. Wow.

Not intuitive :(

This came as part of the apps for navigation on my Can Am. I had no luck with it. The one brief moment that I had it somewhat working (well, talking anyway), it cranked the volume all the way up in the only way I could get it to turn down was to shut the Can-Am off completely, open the hood and unplug my phone. I tried several times after that in my car (not my Can Am) during the free trial period and couldn’t get the audio working. I don’t know if it is only set up to play audio through my Can Am and not through my phone when not connected to the Can Am, but I couldn’t figure it out within the trial period and now it seems useless (??). Looks like I will end up mounting my phone to my handlebars and sticking with Waze. Part of the reason I purchased the Can Am was that I could have navigation in the dashboard, but this isn’t allowing that to happen.

Waze replacement for Pioneer heads

No longer able to use Waze through Pioneer heads using App Radio. I tried Sygic, Navmii and Genius Maps as replacements. Sygic Car Navigation has the most vivid display and nice large labels on street signs. I don’t use turn by turn much but Sygic is comparable to Waze. Haven’t tried the Sygic HUD. Drawback to Sygic is the cost but in my situation CarNavigation cost is much less the buying two car play capable heads.

Outdated Maps

Unfortunately I've purchased one of the premium versions Sygic's navigation apps; why the premium version of your account is not acceptable on all their similar navigation apps baffles me (they're basically the same). But what I paid for is not what they deliver... Maps are very outdated; I have buildings and services/retailers annotated in areas that have been moved, torn down and new buildings and areas have been redeveloped for many years. Voice guidance is basic and not very accurate/slow. I'm going to stick with Google and Siri. It shouldnt take a customer to have to bring these basic update issues to the developer; especially when we're paying for the service premium...

It wants me to rate the app right after opening it without using it.

I’ve used this before and that’s why I’m rating it. After I downloaded the map for my state it offered to give me free traffic cams notifications for life if I rate CarNavigation without using it for a day, week, or longer so it makes me question the other ratings. I get that it helps get the application out there and more known but I’d wait till at least an hour or so after first use so the user can become more comfortable/knowledgeable with CarNavigation , can make suggestions to help improve, etc.

Junk

I am already a premium member and have opted to automatically be signed in every time I open CarNavigation ; but it still always asking me to sign in each time and keep asking me to go premium (which I already am) but still and logged me out after 7 days. Hell i’m already a premium member. Now it won’t give me the option to log in . So I had to delete CarNavigation and redownload it from the cloud. Now I have to restart downloading the maps. I already have a dozen favorite addresses POI I now lost and not listed. Now I’ve lost them and needs to enter them all over again. I cannot do this ever 7 days!!!! I need my money back ...PLEASE! This isn’t worth a dime!!!

Perfect CarPlay Navigator

This is the best CarPlay navigator. Using this in Michigan and works absolutely fine. Searching POI was not intuitive but once I figured out, it is not an issue anymore.

I am used to Garmin, it is the best offline navigator. But it got some bug that drains the battery and it is also not CarPlay compatible. On top of that they discontinued CarNavigation .

Apple maps is as good as Garmin but it is not offline. You need an offline navigator when you are vacationing and that is where you really need a navigator.

Sygic should improve on:
1. Search especially POI
2. Lane helper (Garmin is the best in this)
3. Voice volume is too low and not able to adjust the volume
4. Bug in entering the freeway, it should be based on the ease of entry not on the shortest distance

It is a nice application

The application is good and useful, something that should be improved is that it does not say, you can only see when one approaches a railroad, nor does it speak when one exceeds the speed limit. This happens when it is connected to the car's radio. It is better to listen than to see when one is driving. I use it in a honda car 2017.

Trap

Update: no use giving 5 stars. CarNavigation keeps asking for 5 stars, no response from the developer. Stupid app?

I rated CarNavigation 5 stars hoping that I will get lifetime traffic, but it doesn’t seem to work. Is this kind of a game or a trap to get your ratings up?

If I don’t see the lifetime traffic in my app in the next week I am going to change it back to 1 star.

Way Better

I use Waze and Google maps a lot. The other day I am riding around with my son. I am watching his navigation while driving. I then asked him what he was using. It was so much better than those I used. Not anymore. This is so much easier to follow. A quick glance at the screen while driving is easier to see what you need to see.

New down load

Ok - used Google, Mapquest and Apple maps.
Using the Premium $$$ service

So we we’ll see how CarNavigation companies to the others!

• The down load was fast
• The setup was simple
• Lots of option and ability to customize
- would like more voice / accent options
- still CarNavigation has many useful languages
• Heads Up display - nice option - will be using lost of night driving.
• Traffic updates? in San Diego CA at 5PM on I-5
And shows no traffic or delays? Guess standing still not moving is not traffic delay?

Not well defined as to in-app purchases - does $$$ plan have all options or are the add-on $ - $$ still needed as well?

We will see!

App crashes

Trying to connect to SYNC 3 and app crashes every time. Customer support contacted.
UPDATE: contacted customer support and received response very quickly. Followed there direction and resolved problem quickly. Come to find out SYNC 3 had an update that did not push to the car automatically. Once SYNC 3 update was complete, app worked. Will update feedback again when I have more time using app with SYNC 3.

Wouldn’t recommend

Was anxiously awaiting CarNavigation. First if you purchased the other app thinking it would work with CarPlay you will have to buy again. Next the voice navigation is horrible text to speech technology from 20yrs ago. Finally in CarPlay you can’t enter destinations because of the microphone feature doesn’t work even after allowing access and the keyboard is disabled for safety reasons. Don’t waste your money on this. Much anticipated and very disappointing. I’ve purchased Multiple Sygic apps in the past and this one is not up to the historical standards.
