Impossible to Log In

I have used Micromedex since 2011. Now, I can’t log in through MicromedexDrugReference . I don’t remember my password and then when I try to retrieve it, I am redirected to IBM Solutions and this site doesn’t even list the Micromedex app as an option to go to. I have paid for MicromedexDrugReference on my own for years (not through my hospitals subscribing).
It has become simply impossible to log into. I am so disappointed. This has been my favorite drug guide, and as a nurse I use this information daily in providing direct patient care in an acute setting. My hospital is using Lexicomp and I guess that’s going to be what I have to switch to.
IBM, you’ve ruined Micromedex for me.

Password issues

I used to love MicromedexDrugReference (and other Micromedex apps) but now it is requiring I enter the password every single time I open MicromedexDrugReference . And the passwords aren’t self set and are always a weird combo of letters and numbers that I won’t possibly be able to memorize. This is paid for by my employer and it was annoying enough when my password randomly would expire but now, it’s rendering MicromedexDrugReference nearly useless. In the ED... I don’t have time to look up passwords on the computer to look up a drug or IV compatibility. This needs fixed.

Does not work with “dark screen” iPhone update

MicromedexDrugReference does not work with the new iPhone update. The brightness of my iPhone hurts my eyes so I chose the dark settings with the new iPhone update and literally all of the words on neofax are black. You can’t even read them at all. The only way that you can read what is under the title is by clicking a black row to see which medication it is. So this is really not helpful when I need to see a quick medication dose at work

Doesn’t work

The only thing you can really do on here is search for drugs. You can search for them but you can’t click on them. None of the links work they just highlight then nothing happens. It gives the option to search by class but then there are no drugs listed under any of the classes. Plus no interaction checker! MicromedexDrugReference is worthless. It literally only gives names of drugs. Such a shame as the website is terribly useful. It would have been wonderful to have that translated into app form for quick reference.

Lexi Is A Better Option

If you search a drug, suspend the application, then reload it at a later time and do a search for a new drug it will load in information from the previous session despite it not matching the same drug. I was informed to fix this I must delete MicromedexDrugReference and then reinstall but I’ve already had to do that once before to fix an issue with it constantly asking me to enter my password each time.

I really don’t prefer micromedex already for drug info but I find this issue to be rather unsafe.

Neee an update with the new iOS

MicromedexDrugReference has been my go to app so far along with Lexicomp. A major flaw with MicromedexDrugReference is that they haven’t updated MicromedexDrugReference with the new iOS and the new iPhone X compatibility. It is really annoying to be stuck at the older app. The developers need to update MicromedexDrugReference and make it more compatible and viewer friendly. I have a paid version for MicromedexDrugReference and I believe I am not asking for too much.

Possible error caused by retained cache

If MicromedexDrugReference is not closed, the cache is not cleared even when an update is imported. This results in prior drug info displaying even when selecting a new drug in the search. If not careful in noting that the new search info did not pull up, this can lead to dosing or other errors. MicromedexDrugReference should clear its cache with each new search or update to prevent errors.

IBM Micromedex Drug Ref

MicromedexDrugReference used to be very good. Now that I started paying for an individual subscription annually, each annual renewal is a total cluster disaster. No renewal payment option is attached to the iPhone app download, so no user password is issued to me to unlock the application. The online support process and phone support for license renewal and acquisition of a working password is unworkable and fails every time.

Update issues

This is still my go-to app from a content perspective, but now every time it updates, MicromedexDrugReference is stuck on the previous drug I had searched for. It requires me to delete & redownload MicromedexDrugReference after each update, which is so frustrating when I’m trying to look up drug info on the fly.

Stopped working

I had been using MicromedexDrugReference for years until recently it just stopped downloading content. Tried reinstalling, still doesn’t work.

Needs rethinking

Are used to love to use this with my medical students and residents because it had no commercial sponsorship unlike the other products such as epocrates. Now it is user unfriendly, awkward and difficult to get medical students and residents to use. Not sure what happened but most certainly needs to be re-thought.

Has a bug for such a long time

When I try to search a drug, it keeps pulling the drug from my previous search. Now this has been going on for such a long time that it has become unusable.

Fix Drug Class search

Been using MicromedexDrugReference for years. One of the more useful features has been to search by drug or by drug class. With recent updates the drug class search is gone. Fix this please.

Used to be great, but now not so much

I used to use MicromedexDrugReference all the time but recently it requires a password every time you open MicromedexDrugReference . I don’t have time to search for passwords when I’m on the floor.

Lost app

Hi, I lost my app after new update.

Best drug info app

Best drug info app I have ever used. Succinct and detailed information.

Can’t login, help link is useless

MicromedexDrugReference should be a Harvard Business School case study in how a big company can ruin a once-excellent product, in this case an app.

Actually, IBM did the same thing to The Weather Channel app.

Can’t get in

After MicromedexDrugReference updated haven’t been able to log into my account. Is a great reference if you can use it but, has lots of issues.

Winding Up Customers !!!

Finally I downloaded it !
Thanks so much !

Update

Every time it ask for an update it defaults to one medication and you cannot view the other content. You have to delete MicromedexDrugReference and redownload MicromedexDrugReference . Its pretty annoying.

By

It OK if was not for their expiration crap

The only reason I have to use this is because I don't have access to the lexicomp app through work anymore... MicromedexDrugReference expires every couple of month, I would be trying to consult a patient, I open it and it says expired !!! Absolute crap!! Same thing happens with peds, neofax, IV comparability .. I have to enter a new password every 2 months.. Makes MicromedexDrugReference a huge inconvenience !!!

By

Worthless!!

Frequently requires password and once I am able to access the drug list I cannot view any information. Outrageous!

By

Can’t use it

I cannot use it because the password on the website provided through my institution is said to be expired.
