Summary of EndNote Problems 🔥

1) Moving a ref between groups is not intuitive on the iPad

2) App has continuously crashed whenever user markup the pdf and then try to then re-update/ upload the revised pdf onto online account

3) Photo/screen shot incorporation to a pdf as well as the AirDrop function are also crashing the system

4) Poor customer service

EndNote cannot search PubMed. Checking on PubMed.com their website is working perfectly. My EndNote retrieves references from my library but is unable to search PubMed. My work is paralyzed without access to PubMed.

If I try an import a citation from google scholar end note freezes. Some of my default folders are on network drives at my university and I am on vpn connecting in remotley. I have tried making styles folder filter and connection folders local to my machine but no difference Any help would be appreciated ?

How to fix EndNote app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the EndNote app on iPhone
Update EndNote app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall EndNote iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix EndNote on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve EndNote network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

EndNote Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix EndNote not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the EndNote App
1. On android, goto Settings » EndNote » click [Force Stop]

Update EndNote to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear EndNote App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » EndNote » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart EndNote.

Fix EndNote unable to contact server/ EndNote internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click EndNote » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto EndNote » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch EndNote
