This whole company is one very large scam. The only reason I downloaded LightInTheBox is because on their website, for returns, it tells you to download LightInTheBox and shows a step by step, which does not match the steps actually needed. They make it impossible to return anything. They lied about their location, not Washington but Hong Kong, they said 4-7 days shipping unless I paid $60 for expedited shipping, I paid $60 for shipping and then my order wasn’t processed until AFTER the delivery date I paid for. They even threw in a business card saying Sorry For Being Late, and not to Use the Apple App or Website, they said to order with WhatsApp so they don’t have to pay fees to anybody -“makes it cheaper”, then the material description DOES NOT MATCH what they send, they sent plastic bags with zippers instead of what I ordered, polyester vests ( I know the difference because plastic/acrylic melts with a heat press) also I ordered sizes Large-3XL, they sent me the exact same sizes with different tags, when I requested a refund they made it seem like it’s my fault I’m American and Americans are fat? This is a company mind you-I just wanted a refund they promised- they said no and offered 30% of a $417, then sent me $100 which is not 30% of $417, this company is garbage and is doing illicit practices and should be removed from LightInTheBox Store they are trying to sell garbage while ripping off Apple and American Clients at the same time. Trash trash trash.

Be careful ordering here

I ordered two dresses from this place. What I have discovered is that you better read ALL the fine print because they are misleading you by only telling the part you want to hear on the website. It says your purchase will be shipped in less than a week and this is not true at all. Took over two weeks. And be sure and read the return policy. Most Items are unreturnable. No reason is acceptable I bought two dress the exact same size. One fit well, looked great on. The other one was the same measurements but didn’t fit well at all. Did not look good on at all. I wanted to return this one because even though it’s the same size it looked terrible on me and just didn’t fit right. But they will not let you return it. They want you to measure it to say it’s the size I ordered. And send pictures and jump through all these hoops. And then still say it’s unreturnable. It didn’t look right on me and I wanted to return it and get another dress. But now I’m stuck with an ill fitting dress that I will have to pay more money to have altered if I ever want to wear it. Love my other dress but I got lucky there. I could have two Unreturnable dresses in my closet. I’ve learned a lesson. Read all the fine print before ordering and dont order from this company. They got two stars only because I did like one of the dresses and it actually fit.

i wish i’d read all LightInTheBox store reviews first rather than the reviews on the actual app. what it fails to mention on LightInTheBox (until after you make your purchase) is that the actual time it takes to get to you is divided into a shipping estimated time and a delivery estimated time. so when it says 4-7 business days that doesn’t include the “processing time” which could also be up to 10 business days. i paid an extra $30 for expedited shipping just for it to still not be shipped yet. even after i ordered it said that the estimated shipping date would be the 13th (two business days after i ordered) yet it still has yet to be shipped. even on LightInTheBox all the reviewers give the items 5 star reviews and they conveniently all have pictures (i noticed another review on LightInTheBox store saying that there were no pictures with the reviews, but now there are) but even when the picture clearly doesn’t even match the photo they’re still giving 5 stars and even if it has a 3 or 4 stars it still is like “great, love it” there’s never anything lower than a 3 which is pretty suspicious. honestly i wouldn’t even be this mad if it had told me in the first place there was two different estimated times for it to get here (probably because i just wouldn’t have ordered because i’m on a time crunch) but the fact that that part was conveniently just not visible until AFTER i made the order 😒

SCAM APP DO NOT USE!!!

I think LightInTheBox is a scam from China clearly they MISLEAD you into believing you’d get your order (in 4-7 business days paying extra shipping) and that they give refunds this is NOT TRUE! Processing days take another 10 days on top of shipping days! 👎🏽 The reviews are lies and real intentions are to scam you out of your money. I think that these tracking numbers and the DHL app is fake and a data mining scam also used in their website review to link to your Facebook accounts so they send you more scam sites. I was mislead about free returns which they only give only 24 hours from when you hit submit. There is NO WAY TO CANCEL THE ORDER so you’ll have to dispute it with your bank. I couldn’t even delete my card info or account. NEVER USE SITES from foreign countries even some US ones are fakes. Read the contact us details make sure business is real, has an actual address, email & phone number and valid business license number before buying anything online!

A fake customer service automated email responds and asks for a bogus order number. Still have not received a real tracking number that corresponds to my package. Some scammers send real tracking numbers but they do not relate to your actual order. We will see how ling it take for me to receive anything… I ordered Oct 2nd expected it before the 10th. They told me it won’t be here til Oct 18th…

Do not purchase from this site!

Beware: this is a mainland China, Chinese company that does not reflect common western policies, practices or procedures.
I was very happy to see so many cute items that were advertised on LightInTheBox. I thought I’d be shopping from here from now on! Unfortunately, what you see is not what you get. The products I received in hand did not really resemble the photos. The descriptions may be technically accurate but inadequately explains what you will receive. I was disappointed with all 5 pieces I purchased. Example: I saw a cute jacket, in the photo it appears to be a cozy textured fleece like material with what looked like an embroidered floral motif…. What I got was a flat, stiff felted type fabric with no flowing drape and a paint stamped floral pattern.
This company makes returns for a refund impossible, literally…once you receive your package, if you open the plastic bag that contains your item, whether to look at unfolded item, touch the fabric or try on to see if it fits…you now have an unreturnable item. This is not how westerners are used to doing business.
One experience is all I need to see this not where I want to shop, I feel like I got a bait & switch with the items I purchased and I have no desire to try this company again. No, I do not recommend!

I can’t believe the prices!they’re amazing and the colors are true to the pic only better!! I ordered 12 men’s 3D graphic polo shirts and they are true to size and just as brilliant if not better in person! I just ordered myself some capris for woman and graphic t-shirts. I hope this review helps you determine if you will purchase anything. One con: the shipping price is horrible I paid $37 for my husband’s clothes and a whopping $$72 for my shipping! I think the more you buy the higher your shipping will be. I should have broken up my order that way I would’ve had a cheaper shipping rate. So…there’s that…and ordered my true size so fingers crossed they’re like the men’s and the way they look so great!

Not Worth the Wait

I ordered a tattoo machine on the 23rd of March, which the site said it would arrive in 4-7 business days I figured it’d come in the time frame because any other site I’ve ordered from would arrive quickly, before or on the exact date. It’s been two weeks exactly, and it’s not at all what I thought it was going to be. On one of the cartridge packs it says to read the manual for installment, there’s no instructions!!! (not that I need them) BUT THE PLUG IN CORD CANT BE USED IN THE OUTLETS HERE. They’re like weird round plugs. I can buy an adapter, but that’s more money out of my pocket when they could’ve just sent it in the first place. And on top of that I only have two liner needles, I’ve waited on this dumb machine for two weeks expecting a better supply of liner needles. I ordered tattoo ink two days AFTER I ordered off of this site and it came in quicker than the actual machine. The machine itself is the size of a king size sharpie pen, that’s about the only convenient thing about the entire package. No instructions, no plug-in, two liners, it’s really honestly the worst place I’ve ordered from. I was really excited to have received this package only to be extremely disappointed. Never again, not worth the wait, and definitely not worth the price.

I spent over $100 on 6 pairs of shorts, which all didn’t fit of course. I reached out to the this app customer service to return these shorts and to get replacements that would fit. The customer service rep kindly blamed me for choosing the wrong sizes, and told me that I had two options. Option a) keep the shorts and receive a 40% refund, to which I had to buy another item from their company. Option b) keep the shorts and receive a 30% refund. They said I could ship the shorts back to them, but I’d have to pay to ship them back. But they highlight that the shipping may cost more than the actual cost of the product because you have to ship it to Hong Kong. So, I’d double what I paid to get the correct sizes (hopefully). Ridiculous right? What kind of company requires YOU the consumer to fix an issue (and pay more) to get what you actually wanted? My recommendation, don’t waste your money on LightInTheBox because if there’s slightly any issues with what you buy, you will lose your money. I have pictures of my whole conversation with their customer service rep to show exactly what I had to deal with, and now I’ll get a fraction of the money I spent on their product. I will not buy from this company ever again.

I wish I could give zero stars in all honesty. I had ordered a jumpsuit (size extra large) for my mother and ended up paying $40+ in total. It arrived and you would think I had ordered a small. It was ridiculous and I was disappointed so I submitted a ticket for a refund and I'd return my order. I was answered that I would have to pay for the shipping myself and that it would cost me either half or equal to what I payed for the outfit itself. I was bewildered and then they said that they offered me two choices. A. Keep the product and get a 30% rewards ($10-$11 on my account to this app) or option B. Keep the product and ONLY get refund 15% ($5.40) of my original price. Are you kidding? I'd rather keep the outfit and sell it to a family member or friend and I'd get my full money back that way. I'm astonished that this is how they work. Never again.

Don’t bother unless you truly believe you won’t need to return whatever you ordered. Not to mention it took awhile to arrive. 13 days in total and I’ve seen other reviews from people that it took more days to arrive or they just never got their package. I had hope for this site and now I’m just infuriated. Horrible experience overall

Scam or No Scam??? I Am Truly CONFUSED🧐🤔

I previously ordered three sets of headphones from the site which I have not received yet, I ordered on July 4 and when ordering on the website they say (4-7 business days) so as of now I’m not completely worried. But continuing with downloading LightInTheBox , throughout LightInTheBox and reading other people’s posts and reviews, I’ve noticed tons of angry and disappointed customers which concerns me of the recent order I’ve just made... tons of people saying they’ve ordered from LightInTheBox two maybe even three months ago and never have received what they’ve ordered one lady claimed she waited on a package she ordered from 2018 and just now received the package she ordered and the dress looked like nothing on LightInTheBox , color was wrong and the size was way too big it even ripped when she put it on.... and to raise even more concern most of the users on the sight that claim that they have received their packages don’t show video or picture evidence of anything that they “ordered” though they make sure to give a five star review giving an entire paragraph on how nice the package came without any evidence.... but what I’ve learned is people say to order from the ACTUAL WEBSITE NOT LightInTheBox ...

Fraudulent advertising

I was patient enough to wait for my order for a month. Then to open just one of the seven items I received to see that it was nothing like the picture that was shown. The pictures are stolen from other companies that actually make the items and sell them. I wonder if these other companies know that a company from China is making knock off clothing trying to match their‘s and use their pictures or I should say the developer or makers pictures to sell their fake items. I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau and to my financial institution and advisor for fraudulent activity. This is not what this world needs right now we need to be honest and this is far from honest. Do not order from this company unless you want cheap and something completely different than what you thought you ordered. And then try to work with them to do a return is even worse. They look for every reason for you not to return the item not to mention they don’t handle it professionally they keep putting you off to the next person to the next person to the next person absolutely disgusting and fraudulent activity for sure.

I truly do not recommend this company to anyone, unless you want to wait a century to get your order or if you want your information to get out and have to deal with people using your card and spending your money. I had ordered two items 2 weeks ago and still have not received them. I am very disappointed that it told me it would be 4-7 business days but not have the time to tell me about the processing time it would take. I just wish I had looked at the reviews before I made the purchase then I would haven’t if bought the items. I spent over 40$ and would either like a refund or the items I have bought. Also, I tried tracking the number for the items but it said that they “could not find the number I was looking for” so I tried contacting the company I bought the items from but that don’t provide a phone number for me! What kind of company doesn’t have a phone number?! But they did have an email but I didn’t feel comfortable contacting them that way so I decided to wait a little longer for my package to arrive. Horrible experience too, I’ll rate a negative star

I regret that I didn’t read the review before I ordered from this company, I first placed an order in January 2020 from this company and have them deliver to a Hong Hong address as I was in Hong Kong in January, they offered expedite shipping made me believe that I can bring back to US, but the order has no delivery information after a week, I requested them to change my delivery address to my US address, they said they cannot do it, I have to reorder it and they can only issue store credit, so I reorder it in early February, I’ve been checking my order and message the customer back and forth, they finally shipped out 1 of the 2 items on March 4, the second item was prepared to ship on Mar 27, the customer service told me that my order was sent by the most economical delivery, it may take a while. I think I am patience enough to wait for a order which took 2 months already. Today, I tried to track my order again, but I am unable to sign in to my account, LightInTheBox said my email address has never registered with their company, I was shocked, is this a fake company?

Still waiting

I ordered 4 articles of clothing ( two long sleeves and two workout pants) my estimated arrival date should have put me at Monday of next week. But free four days they still haven’t shipped anything, I became worried that I wouldn’t get the things I ordered in time to make my costume, so I emailed the company through their app, they said they would get back to me in 24 hours but haven’t heard anything. I recently sent them another email as well and will wait to see if I get a response before canceling my order. I do wish I would have read the reviews about LightInTheBox before placing my order, seems like I’m not the only person having trouble. It’s disappointing to find really nice things you want and have some of the worse service, especially when all you have to do if fill the box with the order the customer made and ship it. This is my first time ordering from LightInTheBox and mostly the only time. I would highly suggest either taking into consideration how long you things might get to you or finding a more reliable site to order from

Scam!!!

I am wondering where rating 4.5 came from, they missed shipment schedule even i paid extra for ship within4-7days, i ordered dress and shoes for my wedding in advance on 14 December 2021, paid extra for schedule ship and deliver before Christmas 27th Dec, as mentioned in application when order, in reality they shipped out on 22nd from somewhere and Dispatched to Royal mail on 28th Dec, i opened ticket on 3rd Jan 2022, agent responded that delay came from many orders due to shopping season, this is not mentioned when i ordered!!!! And agent asked me to check with Royal mail myself the status which i did and asked me to wait for another 3-10days!!! How about my wedding ceremony!!! How about i paid extra for early ship and delivery!!! I gave them until end of 5th Jan, Royal mail status is same, item is on it’s way to RDC, so i asked them to refund, they replied early today to return when i get the package (if i ever get any) but they are not mention about any refund at all, no any responsible to customer at all, LightInTheBox is just rip you off and prop not do anything they mentioned in their app at all…

Horror Story!!!!

This store actually promoted an item to me I was really interested in at a time I had an important event to attend. After I purchased the item and paid for the 2 to 4 day expedition they gave me a excuse that they could not expedite my package for the time that I paid for! They actually tried to make me wait for two weeks. This may be very hard to believe but these people actually gave me a formal excuse that they could not sit in the item on time! I responded with refund me the money I pay for it to be sent to me in 2 to 4 business days and they refused to give me the money back! Then IHad gotten frustrated and decided to cancel the whole order and they told me I had to wait 3 to 5 business days and also more days that they could not calculate for the refund! I am so hurts for this horrible experience not only didI have to re-order from another site but I have two also use funds that were supposed to be used because I had already purchased from the sithe! I do not recommend you using this site and quite frankly I am no longer trust worthy of every app on this Apple store anymore!

Returns

It’s a fun, nice enough product even though it doesn’t wick well. My problem it is that it is impossible to navigate how to return a product. I ordered three shirts and received aixshirts in three different shippings. Before I found the fine print, I shipped back two. The I was able to find I need to provide shipping costs. Fine, but nowhere does it say how to arrange this. Two of the arrivals were in a color I never would have chosen. If I don’t get satisfaction from a real person, I shall have to go through my credit card company and reverse charges. NOT a good way to do business on otherwise fun products😡
Going on LightInTheBox and typing Returns or Customer Service merely elicits a continuous red circle and it never opens. This whole company is a scam. Why can’t I get a chat with a customer service person? Any reputable company does not send seven shirts when only three were ordered (and will probably bill me for all—but I’ll have my credit company disallow payment) and make it impossible to return products 🤬

Unable to track order

I placed an order without registering a new acct in LightInTheBox . When I received confirmation of the order being shipped I tried to track it and was unable to find the order. So I downloaded LightInTheBox and set up a new acct and still can’t track the shipment. It shows what I ordered in the history, but does not show that I ordered anything.
I requested help and the response was to try logging in with Google or through Paypal, and if that didn’t work to send all info to them so they could try to find my order. I had included all of the information requested in my original request. And No I am not able to log in through Google or PayPal because LightInTheBox keeps taking over and won’t let me change users!!
Meanwhile I’ve gotten another notification that my item is in route -But I am still unable to know where it is. It’s been a month and the event is next week!! Will I receive it? Or should I find something else to wear???

Updated not satisfied

I ordered some clothing two weeks ago. I payed extra money for the expedited shipping which is supposed to be 4 to 7 days. This is misleading because what they don’t tell you is it takes over a week to process your order and then once it is shipped it takes 4 to 7 business days. Fourteen days later I still have not received my product. They give you a tracking number but all it says is shipped and has not been updated to tell me where in the world the package might be. So I may or may not get my package. Who knows. The products on LightInTheBox seem good and the other reviews seem like people are satisfied, but if you are in a hurry don’t expect your stuff to get to you very soon.

UPDATE: I finally received my product 18 days after ordering. I did not receive what I ordered though. I ordered 4 pairs of high waisted workout leggings. Instead I received one pair of the leggings I ordered and 3 pairs of leggings I did not order. Do yourselves a favor and order from a reputable site.

Wrong color and size shipped and customer service does not get back to you at all

The item I ordered came in the wrong size and the wrong color. The package arrives without a package insert which makes it very hard to contact customer service. After finding the email for customer service and filled the the necessary forms; they promised that someone will contact within 24 to 48 hours...NOT TRUE! It is already 2 weeks, and I still haven’t heard from anyone. In 3 days, I’m going to contact my credit card company and filed a fraud complaint.

Do not order from this site!!!!

My sons wedding is in 10 days. I ordered a pant suit from this site. It was too small as their sizes are not US sizes. I ordered a bigger size and requested a refund for the size that did not fit. I was then told that the pantsuit was special made, Which it was not! They actually have an option where you can do measurements and send in for a special made garment. I did not do this as I needed the pant suit for the wedding so I ordered a regular size. Now they tell me that it was special made and that I cannot get a refund! I am so disappointed in this site and the communication which is has not been very much. I am now told that I cannot get a refund and that if I do cancel the order for the larger size that I ordered and request a refund that I will only get 50% of the money that I paid. Terrible communication, terrible sight. By the way there doesn’t seem to be anyone that you can actually get in contact with to discuss any matters. Do not Buy from this site.

Email spam as soon as you signup or place an order

Why don’t you guys follow the trade rules? Why there is always an chinese app that is trying to catch up with the ecom trend and fails and desperately tries to bombard the customers with stupid non sense promotional emails, hoping some idiot would click on the email title of up to 90% OFF bathroom accessories!!!
Seriously, i had alot of respect for you guys competing woth giants like aliexpress and others, but you have no manners. You have no respect for your customers and shoppers.

I unsubscribed from the emails four times, and kept getting spam emails. I marked them as junk and still got the spam, since every time the email come from a different email. I unchecked the email marketing from LightInTheBox and im still getting spam emails!!! Ok, you want to shave nd promotional emails? Send once a week, once a month, send something that suites me, send something that is related to my purchases!

I baught clothes and gadgets, and i het bathroom promotions in my email!

Note to your designer and developer: its 2018 now and of course you can design your app however you want but customers want nothing but transparency , user friendly and privacy. The day that your customers fail to find these qualities in your site, its the end of your growth and future scalability. Its a day that people switch to another app and day after day your sale will decline and you will regret it in few years.

Very disappointed

I ordered a backpack for my son almost a month before school started. I never received it. I chatted with someone more than once they told me it was already shipped. I told them USPS had no record of that order number, they gave me a different number which there was no record of neither. There website said it was shipped already but I had not received anything. I told the customer service rep, she said they needed proof that I had not received it that I had to go to the post office and get proof that my item was not delivered. How are they gonna do that if they have no record. Than they told me to check with my neighbors that maybe the package was tacked from my doorstep. I live in apartments postal services don’t leave anything in your doorstep they leave a sorry we missed you note. In the end they kept my money and I had to get my son a cheaper backpack we where very disappointed because he was excited for this item.

Great experience

I ordered several pairs of shoes from LightInTheBox. The delivery time was relatively quick. It shipped in two separate packages, the first one came within a week. The second took a little longer, but was still delivered before the expected delivery date. I was a little nervous about sizing bc everything is in European sizing, but everything I purchased fit perfectly! I’d recommend LightInTheBox! The prices are great. It would be nice if they offered free shipping for orders over a certain amount, but otherwise, no complaints!

Terrible

Bought a special occasion dress. Measured myself several times to make sure I was good on size. Received dress- didn’t fit- too big. Took to seamstress and the measurements of the dress were really off. On one side it had to be taken in 2 inches and on the other side it had to be taken in 1 inch and the straps also had to be shortened. I don’t know who sewed it but they cannot measure. Cost me as much as the dress to fix it.

Do NOT use the phone app!!!!

Someone else was right, 1 Star is too many! Not only did I NOT get the $59 offered for the phone app, but when I ordered a gown in Blush Pink for some reason-whether it was my phone or their phone app- the order defaulted back to the 1st color which I cannot use. Despite complaint after complaint all I got were computerized answers telling me to submit a ticket once I received the gown, only to be given conflicting info saying that 1) I would have to pay return shipment but 2) I could not return it - all in the same message! I have sent at least 5 messages both on their site and Facebook message asking for clarification and STILL no answer. Although their gowns are well made DO NOT USE THE PHONE APP!

Need to know why people are not receiving merchandise they already paid for? 2. Is it true that customers are paying for faster delivery? However, the customers are not receiving merchandise at all/taking much longer than paid for? I really want to order things, please let us know! I will rate honestly but i am waiting for these questions to be answered. Can’t wait to order some beautiful items. Again, just wanting to know if these comments are true. Thank you for your help.

I really love the designs of these shirts, but I wear a XXL size in the USA, the first time I bought 3 shirts only one fit and I gave 2 of them to my son. Second time I bought these shirts I ordered XXXL, and once again I gave 2 of them to son again.
This is the final time 2 shirts for me in XXXXL. I really hope these fit the right because this is my last order. It may take a month and a half to get here, and NOBODY SHOULD ORDER 5-7 day delivery! It’ll still take you a month to receive it because I’ve paid the extra fast delivery and it’s still took over a month to get.

MOB dress

Just ordered a jacket for the jumpsuit my only problem is this jumpsuit wording was confusing & the color changed, so I ordered as separates so I didn’t save, however, I no I’m getting the correct 2 items, I really like all your line so I to buy more for my daughters honeymoon.

Be Careful Ordering!!!!

I love the clothes. My only problem is about half the items I order even if it’s the same size, half doesn’t fit. To ship it back its more trouble then it’s worth. So I usually just donate it. I wish I could talk to a human that speaks English so I could easily return or just exchange. I wear a USA size 42 jacket and the Chinese size XXXXXL IS STILL WAY TOO SMALL. Just for your info!! I hope it will help in your orders!!!

Clothing was a joke... not a good experience

I ordered 2 dresses a few weeks ago... after searching the website with great intensity I could not find how to return these items. Unlike most stores it’s pretty simple to return… But you actually have to email customer service to tell you what to do… That is ridiculous. The dresses were not the actual size I requested and they look cheap… I just want quality customer service and what I paid for and now what I want to return. This has been a really terrible experience... plz take your Business elsewhere if you want quality service and the quality product.

I have been trying for 3 MONTHS to cancel an order and get my payment back WITHOUT any positive response from the company. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and reporting them.
