App is behind the times for many reasons. It freezes up all the time, has slow updates. Doesn't show pending transactions or loan details. Has very limited functionality, no features such as statements and account maintenance, and customized links and no Touch ID. It also doesn't offer any promos and banners like the other mobile apps do. I wish they would clean up TouchBanking and put the links on a tab like all of the other mobile apps do. Obviously the developer hasn't seen any other mobile banking apps. The company who makes TouchBanking is all about money, so instead of loading TouchBanking with functionality features such as seeing your pending transactions, or when your loan payment is actually due they focus on their money making products/services that they make a profit from such as "pop money" and "credit sense". It would be nice if they focused more on the consumer than their bottom line. I just wish apple had an option for negative stars because TouchBanking doesn't even deserve one star. This is by far the worse app I have used period, so save your time and use you check book register because it is more technologically advanced than TouchBanking.
TouchBanking is absolutely terrible. Half of the time it never works or it won’t take your login credentials. If you try Face ID or touch ID and it does not work, it will completely take it off of it and never let you use it again and you have to dig back through menus to set it back up again.
I’m constantly having to change my password, even though I type it in right through TouchBanking , because this invalidates my entire password for my bank. It is a absolute hellish nightmare to use TouchBanking and honestly, I would really love to see it actually be functional and login me in without giving me and error message all the time.
it doesn’t allow me to log into my bank account anymore seeing that there is something wrong with either my login credentials or some thing to do with the bank but everything that I insert is correct and I haven’t been able to log into my bank account for almost a month… it’s getting really frustrating and annoying and tedious that this keeps happening and my bank says that everything is fine on there end so I don’t know what to do
I use TouchBanking only because My credit union doesn't offer an alternative. I've become spoiled with apps from Amex, Citi and others that allow me to quickly get in and out to conduct my business while using the built in security of the phone (TouchID). That tech has been out for what? Four years? Twelve months ago my credit union president said it was supposed arrive by the end of the month. Nope. It is about time Fiserv gets with the program otherwise their clients (banks and credit unions) will start losing business to the more nimble mobile banking options. Now with iPhone X I can’t even copy passwords from 1Password into TouchBanking . ARRGH!!!
App was decent. Used it only to check acct and balance nothing more. My credit union is still quite outdated so this was an upgrade. But then all of a sudden it just quit. White screen when loading app. Have tried on my iPad and same thing. Uninstalled/Reinstalled multiple times along with resetting of phone and iPad. Still noting. And there’s no support of any kind to reach out to. For an app to be put out by a large banking business one would think there would be a support number you can call, but nope there isn’t. I’m just hoping it either gets fixed or my credit union finally gets and app of its own.
Only useful to check balance. Otherwise, most useless app ever! My old one securely allowed everything: bill pay, deposits, transfers, etc. Moved and started account here because parents use this bank, but clearly it's only for elderly that are not technology users at all! TouchBanking does not allow any banking functions like that at all.
TouchID function also doesn't work correctly. Have to do password reset pretty much every time and doesn't want to recognize the new temp password, etc, just such a pain! Thankfully, I never closed my other account. So, I write myself a check every month from this account and remotely deposit it to my other bank where they actually have an awesome app that let's you do everything and is very reliable! Thinking of switching banks or closing this one event.
After moving my accounts from Bank of America to a smaller bank in my community I downloaded TouchBanking for my online banking. I wasn’t expecting much but it is just straight up awful. The UI is clunky and feels extremely bare-bones and outdated…. no function to view check images in TouchBanking - in 2022? TouchBanking also seems to be unable to tell the difference between pending and posted transactions, which is a huge issue for me; it’ll show every new transaction as posted instantly yet give me both “total” and “available” balances, leaving me to do the math manually to make sure the amount is right. Regularly refuses to let me log in as well, citing either maintenance or unspecified errors depending on the day. If I didn’t care so much about keeping my money local, I’d leave the bank just on the fact that they use TouchBanking alone.
TouchBanking is so messed up. Half the button aka shortcuts don’t work. Touch ID doesn’t work for touch banking. Your password that you created no longer works and it’s been the only password you have used this whole time. No support no access to your account. Is this even a real bank. I feel like I got scammed to open an account. This is a fake account it seems to me. Customer service doesn’t exist. Seriously give them a call for your self. Alhambra credit union. Such a fake bank. Not real at all. Just a hole in the wall bank with no real systems. If you don’t have access to your account or money they just robbed you. Not only your password won’t work anymore. Your PIN number at the atm don’t work either. When they need to reset it their systems are having issues and been 2 months and no fix yet. How am I supposed to bank with them? I wouldn’t be surprised if I walked in the branch and it was an empty building today. Fake bank fake bank.
I use LastPass as my password manager because I care about the security of my passwords. That means I don’t have my different individual passwords for my 50-some websites all memorized; LastPass does it for me. It also means I have to copy and paste my password from the LastPass app into this app to be able to log in, and I can’t, because this app for no reason doesn’t let you paste into the password field. And if I switch back and forth between the two apps as I type in manually, this app deletes anything I had previously typed every time I switch back into it. So I guess people who care about security can’t log into TouchBanking. Seems ironic. Also very annoying.
This used to work for me but it doesn’t anymore. The two stars indicates it was useful once.
I have had TouchBanking for a couple years now. I only have TouchBanking to deposit checks. Recently, it will display an amount that is different then the check amount. Example: I deposit a check for $5, and type in a deposit amount for $5. Once you look at pending deposits, it’ll say I deposited a check of $13,000 (or some other weird amount). The deposit will fail and I have to try it again, hoping it doesn’t happen again. Frustrating.
I’ve used TouchBanking for over three years now, and the easiest way to describe the experience is one of exasperation. When TouchBanking does work as intended, it works fine. The UI has the basics you would expect out of a financial/online banking app, but no extras.
However, that said, the majority of the time - maybe 60% or so - it is impossible to access your banking information due to problems with TouchBanking . Whether it’s connection issues (which arose with the most recent update), servers being down, or general access errors, I find myself unable to even check balances, or other basic functions, in many situations where mobile access would have been ideal.
Overall TouchBanking isn’t worth the struggle most of the time; and can be frustrating as all get out when you need mobile access to your information. It isn’t worth the time and it would be easier to simply access mobile banking through a browser.
TouchBanking works pretty well. You can’t access bill pay, which is a bummer but understandable. The only real problem I have with it, is that you can log in with your finger print, but when you go to actually do anything, you have to type in your password individually for each action. I don’t understand how my password needs to be used for “added security “. How can my password be any more secure than my fingerprint?
Overall the program works well and is easy to use.
I’d rate it higher, but recently the ability to paste passwords stopped working. It can be tedious to enter long complex passwords and without the function manual entry can be prone to errors. Also when a function that is relied on ceases to work users can become frustrated.
Thanks
Within the past 3-4 weeks TouchBanking quit working. I tap the icon and the screen goes white. I’ve contacted the bank and they have no issues. It all started after an update. Now it’s a useless app taking up space on my phone. There is no one to notify so I hope they read this and fix it. I may have to change banks if this isn’t resolved. TouchBanking won’t load. I have an iPhone 12 Pro and the public beta 14.5
It works the majority of the time and is very convenient. It won’t let me alter any bill payment information though. Ever. Also had to reload it once because it stopped recognizing my finger print login. And it goes through periods of telling me I’m not connected to the internet, when I am. I have to turn off WiFi to use it! Only TouchBanking has the problem, so I don’t think it’s my phone. App works well the majority of the time.
TouchBanking really needs to have real time activity. Also text alerts would be helpful. Notifications of any or daily downtime would also be good. TouchBanking is like banking apps from 10 years ago and I know it could be a lot better if some my suggestions were implemented.
Same complaints as the previous complaint. A year later and the problem isn’t anything that we as the users can fix. Very disappointed with the program and TouchBanking leads you to believe the problem is with you, not them. So valuable if it worked properly.
I use TouchBanking all the time to get into my bank account but for some reason it doesn’t seem to work today? I had someone else try it with a different phone and it didn’t work for them either, something about connectivity issues but I have full bars and everything should be good? Great other than this though
Old app was nicer TouchBanking doesn’t let you see your credit card activity and the bill pay does not all up what you have out after you are done paying everything. I other app was more convenient and easier to use. Why change something that was working .
Constantly crashes. I feel bad for my bank since I’ve been calling them with nothing but problems and they don’t know how to help me. Have you guys looked at the chase app? Never had any problems with that app. Might want to check it out and see how much better it is.
