How the heck to call Citibank or find an atm

Sometimes, when you get an alert (fantastic - great feature!!) of a transaction...that wasn’t you, you want to be able to call the bank immediately. Good luck finding a phone number, even under the “help” or “contact us” tabs. There’s a blank space where it seems like a number should be listed - it even says “call Citiphone banking” above the blank space - but no number and no results when you search for Citiphone banking. Somewhat infuriating...

Also, if you’re looking for an ATM, do NOT trust all the atms listed on CitibankSG ! Many of them do not exist!!!!! I’ve spent hours riding my bike from one supposed location to another, trying in vain to find an atm. Extremely infuriating!!

And - the only way you can deposit a check is in person at a branch???? Is this the 1990s?! The ability to deposit checks via app is not new technology!!! Why can’t this be done in the Citibank app?? Who knows...

CitibankSG is good for looking at your accounts/transactions and using paynow. That’s about it. Really disappointing.

Wished it wasn’t updated

The new version crashes on my iPhone all the time - it will let me log in but then show a completely blank page. Honestly I do not see how the update is an improvement....layouts are just changed around and the investment page actually brings you back to the previous layout. So this “upgrade” really seems a waste of time. Hope they fix the crashing.

Disappointed

I have been disappointed as can’t do a simple transfer to another account and even after trying multiple times before succeeding I still can’t see the transaction in the recipients account

Cannot upgrade to the new version

Cannot download the new version. Hence, I am not able to do my online banking. The bank should fix this problem otherwise clients cannot do their banking especially when they need to do it urgently. Very bad client experience!

Much worse with recent update

CitibankSG used to be fast and nimble. After last update it takes on average 3 attempts and several minutes to log in. After successful face recognition and 1 min of processing CitibankSG prompts me to type in password. I click away and start again. Voila, after 3 attempts it finally works. Please fix this nonsense.

Keeps getting stuck

It is very difficult to use CitibankSG because everytime you click a transaction there is a Back arrow but it doesn’t work and you have to shut down CitibankSG and login again to continue doing what you are doing. Very poor experience. Do not recommend.

Avoid Citibank.

Avoid CitibankSG. Before when you had transactions to carry out, they would send you OTP which made purchases seamless, you were able to carry out transactions with no issues. Now with using CitibankSG to approve transactions for example topping up NETs card, often times CitibankSG is not available due to maintenance. It becomes very frustrating to carry out transactions because maintenance happens during peak Singapore hours. Go with a local Singapore bank and credit card.

Does not work well

- doesn’t tell you what your cash back rewards are coming from
- if you turn on Face ID, your password doesn’t work anymore... WHY?! Repeat offense.
- hard to figure out what the merchants are from the statements. Not clear from the descriptions. Should include full details

Doesn’t work at all.

How does Citibank releases such a version which does not work at all? After login, you are greeted with account balances. Then nothing works, no credit card history, no account history. The only thing which does work is their cash loan offering. Nobody needs that. It’s the typical Singapore example of substandard work in a hush hush mode which clearly is faulty to begin with in the hopes that it’ll be “good enough”. Shame Shame Shame.

UI does not allow user to submit a chargeback

Had several unauthorized transactions lately due to Citibank’s own credit card leak. Tried to submit a chargeback on CitibankSG but it doesn’t now allow me to agree with the terms and conditions of the chargeback process.

Tried using the website and the UI is even worse.

Called the hotline and waited for more than 1 hour before giving up. Terrible experience.

One of the worst

CitibankSG is easily one of the worst from a usability perspective. The list of stupid design points is endless. One simple example you need to have a complex password, great no problem. I use a password generator to ensure I get a high entropy password BUT I can't paste that password into the field in CitibankSG as a result I create a password that just meets the criteria but is far less secure than the one created by my password manager. The list goes on and on. I'm cancelling my account.

Otp entry page not responding after entry

Every update u post a new problem. U ask me to enter the otp sent and i did but when i finished entry your app doesnt have any response at all. It seems to be not able to know if i have finished entry of the otp. And fyi, the otp is the correct.

Citibank global bank but every update getting worst. CitibankSG is also very laggy. Not like the old one where everything is slick and nice.

Also where in the world is your contact phone number info! Its not on your website either! Bad bad bad. So disappointing.

Failure on enhanced security capabilities

What is going on guys - I’ve registered for enhanced security capabilities twice in as many weeks. Your app mistakenly “detects” that I’ve changed my Face ID when I’ve made no change whatsoever. Why is this happening?

Brokerage FAIL!

For the psr month, access to Citibank brokerage has been hampered by “temporary delays” which prevented me from making timely trades. Luckily I have other brokerage a counts with other institutions. Big Fail!

One of the worst bank app

Limited options/functions available.

Easy to use and extensive

CitibankSG is easy to use, very intuitive. Many functions or transactions can be done through CitibankSG.

Useless app

Always crashes after I type login & password always goes back to my iPhone home screen. Useless!!

Good looks but inconsistent navigation

There are things that look good but completely unfriendly. The latest app by Citi is such. I would easily say the previous mobile app may look dated but navigating on the banks products and services are so much easier.

New look and feel

Love how I can see everything in the summary - especially the miles. Also can choose to pay with me points for specific services.

Easy & Intuitive

Citi has improved their app immensely with so many handy features, easy navigation and fast response times. Keep up the good work!
