VEED - Captions for videos Reviews

This is super helpful, it helps with capturing everything said on the video transcribe into txt…now if we could be able to take snips of the video to place in each part of the process for taking Process Notes and steps for training notes, or Saving into OneNote. For organizing all notes in categories based on the content of the video.

One feature to add is Adding a Title of each video - so you’re not having to retype it again and again when sending as a txt file, and then again when sending video file. (This keeps the accuracy of matching video to txt files once saving from phn to pc.

Lifesaver…I was struggling with absorbing all the training videos for work. This will allow me to place the txt into steps for process efficiency.

Can you capture voice recognition to show when different person is speaking on the video, in the txt file. To flow better!

I use VEED to translate my videos into another language. However, the translation is not always accurate. Sometimes it’s too far and not related at all to the words said. Second, I wish there would be an improvement to VEED function where we can add words and time them with the speech manually since some of the sentences translated to another language are longer/shorter than the original spoken words.

Currently it cuts off the portion of the video that doesn’t have speech. So after adding captions, i have to go back and re-edit-in thr other parts of the video so that the whole thing is included. It should maintain the full original video and just add captions. Other than that, this is the best captions app i’ve found, with lots of features for full control, and nice fonts. But that’s one big problem. When that’s fixed, i’ll change it to 5 stars. It doesn’t even leave a watermark. :o I’ve tried several caption apps and this has been the best one over all out of the ones that don’t take as much user data according the VEED page.

I’ve tried literally DOZENS of subtitling tools and this one is the next best thing next to having an actual human transcribe what you’re saying.

For context, I’m a content marketer and creator so I’ve tried my fair share of apps and they’re usually like 30-50% accurate.

I’d roughly say this app was about 95% accurate. Any mistakes were really easy to fix in the text editor. I was able to add subtitles really quickly in my workflow. Upload/record, wait a few seconds, quick edits, pick a style of captions, and you’re all done in in just a few clicks.

Definitely gonna be using this for my IG Reels and TikToks especially since the IG captions sometimes come out blurry and are usually only like 70% accurate.

Highly recommend and can’t wait to see what else gets added to VEED in the future 🥰

I think this app Captions is the best and easiest app for converting Arabic speech into Arabic text. But its Arabic fonts are limited, so we hope that you will add Arabic Naskh fonts such as Amiri font to encourage Arab writers and poets to publish their works in Arabic Naskh fonts, or that you allow us to add Arabic fonts from external sources. Just as Blink Captions app allows us to add Arabic fonts from external sources, but unlike you, it’s not supports Arabic language, starts from the left while it should start from the right.

Loving VEED so far, honestly. I bought the pro version because it’s easy to use and it’s super clean. Only thing I would say is it would be great if they could align the text more. It almost changes from sentence to sentence. Would be nice if it could be consistent. Hopefully a quick fix on their end. That doesn’t change the five stars I’m choosing to give it… that’s how much I like VEED .

I usually don’t write reviews (this is literally my first one) but OH MY GOODNESS VEED is SO easy to use. It puts the caption really quick and is really accurate, but even if it messes up, it is so easy to change! This is a timesaver if I’ve ever seen one and it’s completely free! The creator(s) of VEED need to give themselves a big pat on the back. Definitely recommend!

Been using VEED for over 2 months with no issues but suddenly since a few days ago I started getting glitches and error messages. I reinstalled VEED last time it happened but this time VEED won’t stop glitching out no matter what I do. I get this error message: “ErrorResponse: An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made.”

Guess I’ll have to look for another caption app.

I can’t believe this is a free app! It’s super easy to use and it makes high-quality captions that are easy to see. I’m having trouble that my captions sticker is missing in my Instagram account and Instagram isn’t fixing it, so I needed another fix - I found it. Thank you for providing this wonderful app!

I’ve been use it VEED for such along time now and it’s awesome, I wouldn’t recommend any other app, it’s free, it has a lot of customization options, I could go on and on.
But recently it just stopped letting me upload my video and it says theirs and error or something maybe you could fix it?

Very easy to scroll the timeline of my video, edit my speech and add emphasis bubbles that pop! It’s easy and intuitive and I feel so incredibly appreciative that it’s free right now. Anything less than a 5 star review is criminal! Thank you for VEED!!

I just downloaded VEED and started my seven day free trial which I will be purchasing for the year. I uploaded one video and was able to do that on my iPad but I’m trying it on my iPhone and it keeps freezing and not working.

As funny as this may sound. I would love an optional ability to purchase it fully as like an early adopter? I would hate for it to suddenly be a subscription randomly one day, I’d like to be able to pay a 1 time fee to own it forever guaranteed :)

As an artist that makes content it can be pretty time-consuming to have to type down all my lyrics into a different app. This literally gave me better results than manual work. I’m not mad at the AI.

VEED ROCKS! It does the job, super easy and intuitive interface, they keep improving it consistently and it’s stable enough that I’ve never had any issues! And FREE?!??! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? If you do short form videos, Stop playing yourself and get it!

This is a great caption app that’s very easy to use, but it crashes once in a while when I try to split the captions and it can be frustrating at times. Otherwise everything else works fine

I’d been looking for a captioning software as I do several vids a week. My vids are fro 1-5 minutes long and typing the transcripts was something I wanted to do. this app is great for auto captioning. Highly recommend it.

Amazing app. It is very well done. One thing I may ask you to add, is an audio description feature so that people who are visually impaired like me, can upload a video and have VEED put an audio description feature. VEED is exactly what it supposed to. It even has a free version. If you don’t mind the water, Mark, I only wish that it had a one time pay feature. That would be the only reason why I would give it four out of five stars not five out of five stars if it had a one time pay feature like I could pay 20 bucks just to buy VEED for the rest of my life that I would give it five out of five stars but since it has a monthly subscription or weekly subscription four out of five stars

VEED did the majority of my video perfectly. However when it came down to trying to get a couple of words accurate & adjusting the timing of which they were highlighted on the subtitle…completely frustrating.

I don’t see an area to adjust the times of highlights and it’s just really frustrating because it should be way easier to fix those mistakes.

Good app overall, but lack of details makes it kinda pointless. Because the video has to be perfect, and VEED didn’t allow that for me with certain words being highlighted before they’re even said in the video.

And if there’s something I’m missing, it’s still an issue because it shouldn’t take someone new to VEED all day to figure it out.

The good: it captures most of what is being said or sung. Lots of options to make it visible and clear. Pretty easy to use.

The bad: you cannot adjust or edit the timing and placement of text. It seems like a basic thing, but if the this app AI didn’t pick up what you said, and you write it in, there is no way to time it so that it shows correctly or in time. It’ll either show connected to the last word this app was able to capture, or bundle it with the next set of words.

It seems like a very basic thing, but once this app puts the text, you really can’t adjust what it finds. That’s really toug, as it misses words and isn’t always right. For $40, that should definitely be there.

I have tried so many captions apps, and honestly this one saves me a lot of time in frustration that the other apps have cost me. Whether the other apps have glitches, they just don’t transcribe me properly, or formatting doesn’t give us many options, this one is much better than all of the rest for 100 reasons

I honestly expected that I would have to write in a lot of corrections manually. But when I did my first video with this app, I didn’t do ANY corrections! Second video, I made one correction over 1 minute that was PACKED with dialogue. The customization options are very extensive.
The paid subscription is not too expensive and honestly worth it.
Very impressed!

So I downloaded some other apps that would give me captions and I tested them to see if they would pay me money to put the video in my camera roll and then this was the last one and it actually let me download my videos let me change it
