VivaVideo has been my favorite, until last week - it has been acting up! I couldn’t even open up my draft - it’s frozen! so i tried to install/uninstall thinking it might fix the problem but to my surprise - it deleted all my draft 😭😫😩😭😭 I worked long hours on them and they are done and ready to get uploaded!! and all’s i know now is that they’re all gone! I did not delete my account! I only uninstall VivaVideo ! how is that even possible?! I am very much disappointed. I sent an email to stellawu if that’s even the right person.

I paid 1yr subscription and the expiration is May2021.. so what’s the deal?

I hope someone will get back to me with an explanation.. I would understand if this a technical issue but there’s not even any alert or announcement, we’re all blindsided here.. what is going on this app?

Let me tell you something, I’ve never EVER in my life written a review lower than 4 stars. WORST APP ON THE LITERAL PLANET. Me and a friend went to the Zoo and recorded everything to put together in a huge video. I spent 4 hours editing and making this video THE MOST PERFECT THING EVER! I was so so so so proud of it. But VivaVideo is so slow and so stupid that it completely backed out of it for some reason and I can’t get back into it no matter what I do, next time I’m making a video I’d rather pay 100$ for something a little better, than use VivaVideo in three lifetimes!!! In conclusion, if you care at all about your work that you slaved on for hours, DON’T GET THIS, DO NOT RECOMMEND. Save yourself. - A disappointed teen, and her best friend

Edit: THE UPDATE MAKES IT WORSE!! Now whenever I play a video (not the old one because I still can’t get to it!) it freezes in the middle and looks super glitched and creepy, and after that whenever I go into VivaVideo the screen won’t do anything, I tap and tap and tap and tap! I’m SO angry! I needed the video out THAT DAY! Thanks Viva Video, highly appreciated.

Waste of time. Though VivaVideo is very user friendly, and would be really fun to use if it actually worked right.... But it doesn't. I spent HOURS creating a birthday slideshow for a friend, I finally finish and save it, & come back minutes later planning to then share my creation.... Only to find that over half of the media I had just uploaded, was no longer viewable and has an error message displayed in is it's place!
More than frustrated, but still determined to do this, I start again. End up getting most of the pictures and videos back and in order again but fell asleep before completely finishing..... To later Wake up.... And another random half or so of my pictures are showing an error occurred.
I contacted customer support who said to update VivaVideo and try again. I'm Not investing another minute of my time on VivaVideo though. Not right now at least.

Are you stupid or just greedy?

I’ve been using VivaVideo for over 3 years, i used to love it and thought it was an awesome app. It helped me learn how to edit basic videos and got pretty good. I bought the 5 dollar vip pack (the old one which was a one time payment, you know the one that you removed) to get the fullest out of VivaVideo (over 5 minute videos, no watermark, etc.) i continue using it on my iPod Touch. The updates have been great except for one change. I tried switching to my iPhone but now I don’t have the pack (both signed into the same account) I can’t make videos over 5 minutes and watermark is there. Heck, I would be willing to pay the five dollars for the same pack I had before but you removed it. Your free app has become the most
anti-consumer product I’ve seen in a while. VivaVideo works but a monthly payment of 5 bucks to do the same as what they used to offer for a single 5 dollar payment is ridiculous.

I downloaded VivaVideo recently and it was pretty fun and I was able to make videos. The downside was that there was many ads, had to pay/ become vip, in order to get all the cool templates and effects. That is really annoying. Some people don’t have that type of money. I will still use VivaVideo , but just saying, when you download VivaVideo, there will be tons of ads. To add, THERE IS NO REASON TO HAVE A TIME LIMIT. I still don’t understand why you make a time limit. It’s no fair. Some people like me love making videos longer than 5 minutes, but on VivaVideo it has a time limit. No other app has that. And I don’t want an app that has me pay for all the good things. Also, every time my videos were exported, AN AD POPS UP. I don’t like that. It’s like my photo app has to help me put all my videos together, and this one just helps me make the video from my screenshots. It’s a good app, but there are things that need to be taken down. Again not many people can pay to be VIP. It’s a good and fun app, but it needs changes. Thank you for reading and understanding my opinion

It was a 5 star app before this new update. Everything’s changed. I can no longer drag on the bottom on how long I want an effect to last I have to split the clip individually into smaller clips to time the effect. And I don’t mean effects anymore because now they’re classified as “filters”. The “filters” I’m referencing are the ones such as Dizzy,quake, endless, etc. It makes timing beat drops with effects wayyy harder!! I don’t like the new layout it looks too close to imovie it was simpler to just have individual clips numbered. Plus there’s a little lag in the clips when you press play sometimes. I’m a VIP member and I really loved VivaVideo for the last 3 years but now it’s like I don’t even recognize it :(. If there was a way to go back to the old layout that would be amazing! One thing I do like is being able to edit individual clip volume that is a REALLY nice feature. Anyways as I was saying please please try and help me!

I used to have VivaVideo and I could export sounds from my camera roll I just re-downloaded it so I couldn’t make a video for my fan account on Instagram but when I tried to import a specific sound from my camera roll I couldn’t because you have to be a member for it. And so I am very upset about this because I don’t have that sound on my iTunes. Because for this sound I am trying to use I have to pay for it. It’s a lot more expensive than I thought but I didn’t think it would be a problem because when I use VivaVideo so much then I had to delete it because I didn’t have storage but now it makes you have to be a VIP so that is very annoying andI think it’s a great app if you can afford to be a VIP or if you can afford to use iTunes. But it is a great app I didn’ I think it’s a great app if you can afford to be a VIP or if you can afford to use iTunes. But it is a great app Other than that.

I love using VivaVideo to edit my videos. My only dislike about it, i can’t undo things. There should be an “undo” button. Sometimes when i split my clips up, i might accidently delete a split clip that i didnt want to delete, so theres no going back from there unless i delete the whole thing and start all over again. If there was an “undo” button, if i accidently delete a clip, i can hit the “undo” and it was basically go back in time and bring the clip back. Hope this can get added to VivaVideo . And the “undo” button can be used as much as need, can undo all the way back to the beginning if needed. Other than that, love VivaVideo , been using it for a few years now and still will continue to use it but i really would like an “undo” button. Thanks

Hello this app Team, my name is Summer Ivy and I would like to say how many options there are to create something amazing! I love all the filters, effects, transitions, stickers etc. I just downloaded VivaVideo yesterday, and I’m already in love with it! I was trying to look for a app where I could make anime/cartoon edits, and now I found the perfect place! Now, you all are probably wondering why I gave it a four star rating, instead of five. It’s because of the “Featured” part of VivaVideo . I’m not saying that it’s a bad idea, but I’m not sure younger eyes would like to see some of the videos/edits on there. I’m older, so I can tolerate it. If you are a parent, and are reading this, there is an option to report or block those types of videos. Also, one more thing, I wish there was a setting where you could turn off this option completely, but as of right now, I still have VivaVideo in my hands and will use it for many years to come!

So I was downloading almost every video editing app on the AppStore and a lot of them came with free trials just like this one did. I tried just about all of them. Even the “professional polished” looking apps that charge more for pretty much the exact same thing that you can do on here. I purchased the year VIP subscription and I don’t regret it. I use several other apps in conjunction with this app. The things you can do if you try to learn them, are pretty awesome. There are some limitations when it comes to using it on your phone but partially due to the screen size but once I have my iPad running VivaVideo, I have a lot of fun and the effects are super cool. I’d like to see more of them added. And maybe some video filters that have mirroring or even a kaleidoscope view! I’d like a better way of adding or finding music to add to the clips but it’s not at all bad in the stage it’s in now. If you’re looking for a review from someone meticulous about their purchases to sway you into moving forward with VivaVideo /subscription:

I love using VivaVideo for editing and ever since the new update it looks very organized that’s what I love about viva video... BUT since the new update I cannot edit my clips like how I was able to before I mainly used VivaVideo to apply clip edits throughout the videos and they have transferred them into the filter area therefore I only can use one throughout the entire video ☹️. I would love if I could use the added “filter edits” more than once through the video like how I was able before, but ever since The update I have no use for VivaVideo anymore.

I love viva video! It is so simple to use and you can really make a great video using it. I especially love how it exports as MP4 instead of MOV! Would love to see:

1. BRING BACK ROTATE ALL / APPLY TO ALL when rotating a clip. I import multiple clips and it changes the rotation. If I change the canvas and rotate it how i want it, there is no option to rotate all the clips the same. Instead I’d have to do it one by one which; if there’s 35 clips that takes WAY too long!!! Please bring that back.

2. Make it so we can change the LENGTH of the transition. If I use cross fade, it cuts off the sound from the first clip wayyyy too early. I can never use cross fade if there’s spoken word for the last 5 seconds of the video. Even if it’s silent between the cut, it will start crossfading too early and you can’t change the length of the cross fade. On videoshop you can change the length of the transition and I love that.

3. ADD AN ADJUSTABLE SMOOTHING SKIN FILTER!!! Sometimes I don’t want to change the color or anything, sometimes all I want to do is smooth out my skin a little bit / make it more consistent. If you add an adjustable smoothing skin effect… this will be the PERFECT app.

Just please don’t ever change that it exports to MP4 even if you’re importing as .MOV! That’s my favorite thing about VivaVideo!

UPDATE: I don’t think I’m having the same issues as before, so thanks! For that.

So I have been using VivaVideo for awhile trying to make a gacha video and it’s been really easy if your trying to make a gacha video this is perfect for you it’s way more easy and simple then kinemaster but it still has all the same features and so as I said I’m trying to make a gacha video right when I’m almost done with it I press save but it says you need VIP to do this and I got so mad because I have used VivaVideo so many times and this shows up but my mum won’t let me get VIP so now I have to delete VivaVideo and redownloud it so I’m super mad about but besides that probably the best app I ever used for making and editing videos

I like viva video. I’m only nine and I can already edit videos! The only problem is you have to pay for over a 5 min video. I think you shouldn’t. At sleepovers we make little clips. When we make bigger videos though, we cannot do it very well because there is a time limit. I know you can edit and remove clips but sometimes, I like to keep all the clips I make. In your next update, please remove the time limit. I’m not willing to pay 5 dollars just for the developer to not program the system correctly. I still love VivaVideo though, Bye!

I’ve had VivaVideo for years and stuff and I remember back last year I was able to use the Sci-fi (Aka called the Dynamic Filter now under Effects) into a FX animation, I would really appreciate it if you could bring that back, it’s much more difficult having to crop a certain part of the video and then add a dynamic filter rather than just being able to control it at your own time and adding it for a certain time, I hope you could please bring this back, other than that everything works great, there’s no problems I run into and sorry for that long run on sentence, thank you, please bring it back.

Heyo! I’m a YouTuber starting a channel called .:LPS-Pastel Leah.: I needed an app to record with! VivaVideo was perfect! Until....I noticed I could only make 5 min videos for free....I don’t care about the watermark! Or a time limit! Though I prefer not to have one even on the free version, the limit is to short....I GOT SO MAD I MEAN ONLY 5 MIN?! To short I’m sorry. If your okay with that limit then this is a perfect app! But please AT LEAST expand the limit....for a couple years I’ve kept this in but I must speak up! please....I’m begging you....I know you won’t listen to someone like me but if you find it in you to fix the limit then I thank you with all my heart! I’m a younger user so I don’t get paid yet witch means even if I wanted to I couldn’t get the pro version....it makes me really sad...

VivaVideo is what I make all edits on. It makes it incredibly easy and less frustrating than most apps. However what I can’t find in any of these editing apps are really good transitions. Viva video did recently update and add some which made me really happy because I make edits for like tv shows and stuff and I like to have a broad choice of transitions and themes. So I’d really like if the transitions will continue to be updated and i would also like if on the themes I can take out any pop up words that I don’t like. On a lot of the themes there will be a word that pops up like love or something and id like if we got the choice on whether we want that to be a part of the theme or not but besides those things I love VivaVideo and it’s the only editing app that I use consistently.

I’ve been looking for a app to make TV show or movie edits with my friends for fun and haven’t been able to find one that’s got what I’m looking for that doesn’t cost a lot. I found this as one of my friends recommended it and it’s perfect! It has a lot of options to choose from for free and then some for a fee which I can respect. It lets you trim and adjust the video, add music or voice overs (which I LOVE!), and has a bunch of options to enhance the videos by having it fade in and out certain ways etc. Which honesty I haven’t seen anywhere. My videos now look very professional even tho I’m using a free app. I’m now using one app for something I’ve been trying to accomplish with 3 and falling short. If your a person who wants to make those amazing edits you see on Instagram or TV, or just want something awesome to add to your videos, definitely give VivaVideo a try! You won’t regret it.

I love this app. I have been using VivaVideo for about 2 years. But there is one thing that I dislike about this app. Why is there a time limit? I don’t understand why this app has a time limit? When I make great videos that are longer than 5 mins it tells me to trim it down or to take off the time limit. I don’t want to pay because I don’t think it will last a long period of time. I just hope that this app will make an update to take of the time limit for free. The water mark doesn’t bother me but the time limit does. I just hate the time limit. There is literally no reason to have a time limit. Is it because this app does it because you get better stuff? Or is it because of the money? If it is for the money I don’t think I want to use VivaVideo anymore. Viva if you read this I love VivaVideo. I really do. But I just wish that you would do something about this time limit. Thank your for your time :)

Although we will no longer be able to share anything in here anymore, I wish those who created this app the best of luck and I just want to thank you very much and I’m very thankful for this. No complaints at all. Just one thing, please don’t get rid of the sharing feature! I love it. But even if you do, I’m still on your side. I have had VivaVideo for years but One day when I went on everything was fine until it asked me if I wanted to make a subscription, I already had a subscription, so i was confused, I went to my settings to check and yeah of course the subscription was STILL THERE, i was like ok maybe it’s a glitch, i tried clicking on the restore purchased AND free trial but it also said “I already had a subscription”, I deleted VivaVideo and went back to log in again, everything in my draft was gone, hundreds of video over the year, GONE, I checked my account and yes it was the same user name and ID, but all my videos are now gone, VivaVideo was great before the updates but now it’s just all glitching AND greedy, you know I’m very disappointed in VivaVideo, I have had VivaVideo for a long long time, like even when the subscriptions didn’t exist, and only had a “one time purchased get everything forever” deal, but now? Greedy as hell, I remember VivaVideo being as famous as meipai and Kwai/快手 back in the days，and all my friends knew what it was, but now no wonder why nobody knows VivaVideo or uses it anymore , because of its greedy updates, wish I never download it since hundreds of memories and hard work edits are now GONE

Please please please... reconsider what you’re doing and keep the community going! I’ve lost so many good friends from this platform and I don’t want to lose more. Yes, there’s been drama, bad reviews, innapropriate videos, but that doesn’t mean anything..! It’s still perfect in our communities eyes, but our description of “perfect” might not be what everyone agrees with. We think its perfect because of our friends, and some would even go as far to say family. We are the viva fam, and i don’t want you to take that away from us, we can stand strong and push through ANYTHING together, we LOVE eachother! We have so many memories together, and this is not the way or time it will be taken away. Taking away the community feature doesn’t help anything, it just makes your app less popular. You’re leaving out so many people who haven’t gotten to get to know us, or get to know anyone. Please read this, please reconsider.

So I got VivaVideo a little while ago, before you had to pay for membership to get the adjustment buttons. I had it on my iPad and it was working great! (Note: I didn’t make an account because it wasn’t needed.) Then I got a new iPhone. I downloaded VivaVideo and I didn’t get my adjustment buttons. I saw that I had to pay for membership to get my adjustment buttons on my phone. I decided it wasn’t worth my time to get it on my phone too, so all of my editing when to my iPad. Now just a few days ago my iPad got reset because it was stuck, it wouldn’t let me get in. And by reset, I mean delete all the apps and photos. In the process of getting my iPad back up, I had to restore a time where I saved my information. And that time was on my iPhone and way back in March, but I restored it there anyways. When I got back on my iPad, everything seemed fine. I had another editor app called: “Video Star” and all the purchases were there. Then I tapped on the “this app” app and tried to edit a video I did. I lost my purchase of my adjustment buttons. I don’t know where to restore your purchases or even does this have to do with not making an account. I have many questions but not a lot of answers. Please, app creators read this and help me, and even if it takes for me to buy it again I will.

I love VivaVideo so much! It gives you a variety of tools to use, and is easy to edit photos! My only exception is that there would be more themes, and sometimes when I add transitions my phone lags a bit and crashes. This only happened one time, but it’s okay and I definitely recommend VivaVideo. If you want to edit these photos for free, there will be a watermark on the bottom right. You would have to pay money to get rid of the watermark. Also, if the picture is vertical it has black lines on the sides and it looks sorta off? Definitely try VivaVideo!
