I wanted to try Subcap and see if I can use this for adding subtitles to my video. I was testing several apps to see which I’m had the option to manually add subtitles, not audio translate. I’m a new deaf content creator and need to try which features work for me. Subcap requires you to subscribe for the features I was looking for, so I did. Once he trial was over, they charged me. They will not refund you back even if you try to cancel the day of trial ends. Subcap didn’t even have the feature I needed, so disappointing for a huge chunk of money. Beware of Subcap!

I just got their pro account hoping it will be do job flawlessly but noooo way! I had to go and fix the mistakes manually!!! So the what is the point of this appp 😒

Subcap doesn’t work Only recognized one word of the 30 second video. Annoyingly I have already paid for the yearly subscription two days ago being a solo mom, and having forgotten to cancel the subscription and they continue to deny my request for a refund.

I just purchased monthly subscription of Subcap 2 days ago and now it doesn’t work !! Where’s the money I paid . Thieves !!

Auto generate doesn’t work at all. Doesn’t seem to be an easy way to move words around… which makes Subcap pointless

Sorry folks but Subcap does not work. It does not auto-transcribe anything. I paid for the full version and I was dissatisfied. It simply does not work. Its a scam app to get your data and resell it. Iphone 14+ user.

I got this cause some of my video the talking was a bit too low for my liking and I needed the subtitles so it wouldn't matter as much and it couldn't pick it up... disappointing

Instead of doing what they are advertised, they do something different like manual subtitles. Subcap is advertised as free auto subtitles but there is no such thing. Free only gets manual subtitles.

It doesn’t work the audio caption, it doesn’t make any sense, it’s get negative rate from me -1. I just waste my money for nothing. I would like a refund

It always says that my voice in not clear when I want to translate to Arabic, yet it can translate the same video to other languages.
So disappointed !

Really disappointed to have a charge of $35 for TRIAL! I understand that I should have read all the fine print but I am used to Free Trials and Trial supposedly for a month or less. Didn't know that Subcap has such an expensive trial. Contacted support but just getting bot answers. No number I can contact.

Where are the videos that I have downloaded stored?

You can’t change the size of the captions. You can’t have different colors or positions. The AI isn’t accurate.

Subcap has zero support and the subscription model is misrepresented. Charged me and my hen would not respond to any of my requests.

It doesn’t let you try the automated feature even in 1 video! What are you so scared about? Obviously I want to try it first in my own language Before paying… Come on…

It couldn’t even add captions to something that was already partially subtitled. It correctly did one single word on one video and kept giving errors on every other one. Don’t bother even with a free trial.

Paid for it, tried on a video with clear and loud English words on top of a lower, sparse, guitar. It found zero words. Tried another solution that got it 95% right away. No support on their site, so just canceling now

So I was going to make a reactions video but I wanted subtitles, I came across Subcap, the reviews seem good, but you have to pay to get the automatic subtitles, get a different app.

In Subcap video works perfectly. Then download and the audio and video skips. Subtitles, video, and sound and all different. Mouth is saying the words but subtitles are different and even worse the sound doesn’t link to subtitles or video. SMH

the editor itself is amazing but when i went to save, it just said “EXPORTING” forever and never finished (it was a 28 second video…). had to force close it and lost all of my work. i would give Subcap 0 stars if i could

Just makes captions. Nothing fun. You can mix and match locations of the titles and mix fonts and do fun stuff. Every vid service makes caption. No need for this.

Only captions for 5 minutes.

I am trying out Subcap for my nonprofit group. Likely will cancel our subscription quickly. Have to spend much time making editing corrections because of inaccuracies. Subcap needs lots of work!

Font choices not good. Super boring because I was trying for a lyric video not a Netflix thing.

I love you soon as I. It’s very easy to use and navigate. Looking forward to some of the new navigation that’s hopefully to come. But for now it’s simple and easy and serves my needs.

As advertised but fairly limited text and positioning customization options.

The voice transcription is very good even with noise audio.

I'm mostly missing a way to easily split the auto generated captions into separate parts with auto calculating time intervals like what's possible with Instagram and TikTok captions.

Had an issue with their update not displaying milliseconds and I reached out to them and they did what they could to fix it , did I expect that ? Nope . But they did it , shouts out to the devs for putting the people first .

The layout is intuitive and the voice recognition software is among the best, if not THE best I’ve tried. Great job!

Best captions I ever type even I am deaf and didn’t want to type but they are clear and neat.

I always watch any video on social media without sound so people just talking on the video means nothing to me. And I know my friends are like that too. I think thanks to Subcap, people will grow their audience.‌   ​‌‌

Subcap is a game changer! I used to spend hours adding captions to all my videos. Now, I can get all this work done in minutes. There is a little editing to do, because the artificial intelligence isn’t 100% accurate. But, it is pretty darn accurate. So happy that I found Subcap!
