Tweak a few aspects and it would be perfect

Hello, I've been using Basic Beauty for months and I'm very pleased with it. It's ideal for organizing my skin care and even medication. My experience has been extremely positive, and I adore the UI. It's pleasing to the eye and consistent. It’s the only app I’ve found that I love and use consistently. I do have a few comments that could improve the experience.

Lag It takes a while for SkincareRoutine to switch from one page to another and is quite laggy. Additionally, it occasionally freezes.

Adding Progress Pictures When adding pictures and not being able to add multiple ones at a time. The screen glitches white and spasms when I try to add a picture. Also not being able to add multiple pictures at a time is time consuming and inconvenient.

User Experience Not being able to change, archive, or edit routines because doing so will erase your progress. Skin care routines change because you're always trying to figure out a good routine, products run out, or you want to try something new. The inability to archive or edit them without losing all progress is a major flaw in the UX. Customers want to be able to change up their routines and keep their previous process.

Thank you for your time and hard work 🇺🇦

Easy to set up.

SkincareRoutine is very easy to use. The only thing I wish I could change is editing/adding my own icons for the pictures on the routines. It took me a little to figure out how to do something every three weeks. To do that is choose weekly and then use the drop-down for how many weeks between. Once I had that, everything is set.

Almost Perfect

I have tried every skin care tracking app in SkincareRoutine Store. This one comes so frustratingly close to perfect. But I keep looking for the perfect app while using this one because what it’s missing is very important.

I have an advanced DIY medspa and skin care regiment. I have daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, every 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and yearly routines. SkincareRoutine does it all except let me see month to month (it does week to week) nor does it let you see past the next 5 weeks.

I can schedule stuff past that but I can’t see it. If I have a routine that occurs every 8 weeks I can’t see the date of the next occurrence. The routine says again in 7 weeks. Trying to map out many routines, I really need to see months into the future, a month at a time.

Please add iCloud sync

I hate how every app requires you to sign up for an account and a subscription model. So it’s nice that the dev gives us an option for one time purchase. I also like how adding products is a manual process. Some skincare apps recommend some products over the others and I feel like I’m being advertised. The only feature I want is iCloud sync.

10/10 will keep using this app

It helped so much with organizing my skin care routine and I can add the products so I know what I’m using another helpful thing it does it tell you when your skincare things expire

Great but needs functionality to add past entries

I checked out a lot of similar apps but didn’t like the privacy policy where most claims to own a copy of my data in the cloud. SkincareRoutine has all the basic functionality with a nice and intuitive interface, but if the developer could add the option to edit or add past entries, it’ll be perfect! Thanks you for making this!

Great App!

I love SkincareRoutine! Tells me when my products are expiring. I can finally keep track of everything I do with skincare.

Please let us write more than 30 characters on our product name. I wanna be able to write down the entire name. No character limit would be great

Just what I needed!

The perfect app to set up and manage my routine! No ads or AI trying to sell me on anything extra I don’t need. I do my own research, have the products I like to use, and SkincareRoutine allows me to keep up a routine that works for me!

Amazing!

SkincareRoutine is truly amazing. Just one day of putting on moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning and moisturizer in the afternoon has done wonders for me! Finally, a simple organized app that REALLY helps!

Amazing but bugs

SkincareRoutine is the best routine app but Everytime I try to delete or update a tag, it doesn't save and comes up when I reopen SkincareRoutine . Can we permanently fix this? And there is often lagging when loading routines.

iPad usage

It’s disappointing SkincareRoutine isn’t available to use on the iPad. I originally left a one star review and that wasn’t really fair. SkincareRoutine is great and can’t wait for it to be available on iPad also💜

Great app!

I was looking for a way to keep track of what skincare I use, and when. This is simple, low effort with great results. Do recommend!

Flexible, highly promising skincare regimen app.

I'm someone who's always struggled with acne and textural skin problems. Even though I've researched many products that treat my concerns, I struggle to create a consistent routine out of them as well as remember certain product-to-product conflicts. With SkincareRoutine I'm allowed the flexibility I need to list out my varied AM/PM routines, when to repeat which routines, and also make notes along the way involving application/precautions. Something I enjoy about SkincareRoutine is the ability to add pictures to each of your products for easy selection later when you go to create new routines. For me that makes up for SkincareRoutine not having preloaded products.

As for personal complaints, I'll list out a few issues I came across/any recommendations for SkincareRoutine .

1. When I go to edit a routine I've already created I'm unable to change frequency of the routine. This was a minor frustration which just meant I had to delete and recreate routines in order to change frequency.

2. When I go to add a new product I'm unable to add a photo. However when I save the product I can open it back up and add a photo. Again, nothing too serious.

3. I wish there were an option to upload your own photo for routines instead of just choosing between preloaded icons. The icons don't serve enough for routine differentation.

4. Product type could be less strict considering there's hybrid products like moisturizing spf. I also own the Ordinary's glycolic acid toner which is obviously a toner but is also an AHA exfoliant.

All in all I enjoy SkincareRoutine and will edit my review if I come across anything else. I appreciate that it's so flexible in that you're not limited from inserting any products you own, no matter the brand. But I do feel like SkincareRoutine would be much more rounded out if it offered more insight into different types of products in an informational section on its own. For example of BHAs or AHAs, their benefits or negative side effects, and when is beneficial to use them. It would be an added luxury to not have to reference back and forth if I need to be reminded not to combine certain serums or avoid using a product at night. Overall SkincareRoutine is awesome though, 9/10.

Does not work!

SkincareRoutine does not work at all. Once you purchase nothing happens. It took $6.99 and does nothing! It just keeps bringing you back through the intro questions. Please don’t purchase. Seems like a scam.

Good but buggy

SkincareRoutine is good, but it keeps freezing and is buggy all the time.

One of the best apps I’ve used

And I’m a retired coder. I’m very picky about application design. I love SkincareRoutine. I have a very complicated skincare routine, different products morning and night, I use 3 different skincare devices throughout the day, an add in a few extra optional routines. I find SkincareRoutine easy to set up, intuitive, easy to change, add in or swap out products and routines. I can complete a routine or skip it for the day. I can schedule a routine to occur on certain days. I’ve even added flossing as a daily routine at my dentist’s order. For whatever reason, having to check something off each day keeps me honest. A nice upgrade would be to add more routine icons to keep up with new devices, e.g., microcurrent, laser and LED.

Innovative App for Self-Care

If you need a convenient and practical way to create an agenda of your hygiene routines or record personal data, SkincareRoutine is for you! It has a pleasing, minimalist design with a straightforward interface, which makes menu navigation a cinch. Users have the ability to build custom or default routines from their product lists, set the frequency of each routine, and check off each time they use a product in a routine. My favorite feature is being able to add the expiration date of each product. You can simplify your app utility by sticking to the product and routine menus, but there are other features as well! SkincareRoutine contains informational guides from credible sources that educate users about health and wellbeing. There is also a section with various journal templates to document skincare photos, diet, mood, and more. SkincareRoutine is so robust that it will even summarize your personal progress based on your journal entries! I have never been more motivated to take care of myself until I discovered SkincareRoutine, and I hope more individuals discover it too!
