Don’t Pay For A Subscription

2024-02-19

I paid for the yearly subscription and really enjoyed LazyBones for awhile. My husband and I both contracted Covid, which interrupted our daily lives for a few weeks and I didn’t use LazyBones regularly as my daily schedule and routine was completely disrupted.
It’s been roughly a month, but now that I have my normal life back, I have tried using it and it tells me to renew. I am subscribed until January 2022, so I am not paying for another annual subscription only 2 months into my current one. Buyer beware!

It’s okay but annoying

2024-06-20

I’ve been looking for an app like this for a few days and have probably checked about 5 different apps. I thought this was going to be the one. But it’s not. I want to be able to track more than 3 habits WITHOUT having to pay and more than half of the set habits aren’t available because I need to pay. I’m sorry but I’m not using LazyBones.

Probably great if you pay for the subscription

2024-06-08

The design is nice and seems like it would be useful, but without paying for the subscription you can only have 3 habits. I’m not looking to pay for something that I can just set reminders for on my phone. I thought it would make it easier by having it all in one place, but it’s not worth the money for me I’ll just use the reminders that already come with my phone.

Easy to use & aesthetically pleasing, except...

2024-01-25

As a minimalist, I only download a new app if I know “what job I’m hiring it to do”. I wanted to get my habit tracker out out of google tasks and my documents/study notes app, and have never found an app I liked until I discovered Lazy Bones. It’s easy to use, and pleasant to look at - but there’s a few things that are keeping LazyBones in the gap between good and GREAT.

1. Overuse of exclamation marks. Have some variety with regular periods, even in your “suggested habits”. Not every sentence on LazyBones needs to imply EXCITEMENT! It feels forced. I feel like LazyBones is yelling at me all of the time and it’s exhausting.

2. Habit Flavor text is not customizable. The generic (and repetitive) “Go for it!” for an incomplete habit and “Good job!” For a complete habit feels stale like a boring computer is spouting hollow pre-programmed encouragement at me. I’d love to have the option to customize these per habit to make it encouraging specifically to me. Let the user decide what text encourages them to get it done and use your app to do it. Let them add their “why” for getting it done.

Maybe I’m biased against the overuse of exclamation marks, but LazyBones still does the job I’m hiring it for, so I bought it. I definitely recommend it to my clients for an easy tracker with a widget they can put on their Home Screen. Still, hoping to see some continued improvements!

Great, but flawed. I would give it a 3.5

2024-02-11

I love LazyBones. The ability to add notes to a habit helps me feel very organized. I also like the different colors that can be assigned to each habit.

The notifications work well and the reminders get me off the couch and doing whatever I need to do. Assigning specific times for each habit is great too.

There are some downsides though. Managing habits in the setting menu seems excessive. Being able to manage habits within the habit would be simpler. This isn’t a huge deal, but it can be confusing if you forget where this setting is.

My biggest issue is syncing between devices. My iPhone never syncs with my iPad. I frequently switch between the two devices and even though it says iCloud sync is enabled, it doesn’t sync. I receive notifications for things that I have completed, and it becomes egregious for repeating habits. I’m aware that this issue is being worked on, but it is currently an issue.

Also, if you don’t have the Apple’s “Mail” app you can’t access help and support or the bug reporting options. To send an email about the syncing issue I had to download Mail, and then create an iCloud email to contact support. Super annoying.

Other than those downsides, LazyBones is pretty great if you plan to only use one device.

From a beginner #letdown😞

LazyBones is great over all awesome but What dose bug me is only a certain amount of emojis are available to us unless we buy the pack or something which is how I know you make money but I suggest coming up with your own emojis or “ doodles “ and also a lot of the other options like reminders, colors, or app icons are also apart of your pack.🥺

Unhealthy expectation in app to be perfect robot.

2024-01-22

Yea paid for a whole year subscription and I don’t regret it. But it bothers me a lot how LazyBones focuses not on just getting tasks done, but the absolute necessity for perfection. it is good to strive and be better, yea even perfecting something is great. But LazyBones focuses way too much on perfection. To me a perfect day, week, month does not mean robotically getting every chore and task done. If I set a thing for money and do it on Tuesday that’s fine with me. Sometimes in life it is worth living in the moment and catching up on tasks later. And LazyBones punishes your for it. You could miss a single task out of a day. You could have finished 99 other tasks that day, and you are essentially punished for it and your day/week/month and every streak and every stat is ruined. Sad because I like LazyBones .

iCloud syncing issues

2024-05-18

LazyBones doesn’t seem ready for prime time. Buggy. Accidental duplication of habits, and won’t sync correctly to Apple Watch, even after several resets and re-installations.

It would be a good app if it worked correctly, but I can’t recommend it right now.

Loving it for the most part!

2024-04-11

Loving LazyBones...simple but beautiful design. Helps keep me on track 💖. The one thing that’s missing for me is to be able to set more than one reminder time — for the instances where I’ve setup the same habit for 2 or more time frames per day (ex:morning and evening)...currently you can only assign one time per habit, even if you need it more than once per day.

So much potential

2024-09-14

This is an amazing app, and it has soooo much potential!! Like it genuinely has a lot of potential, which is why i’m “only giving it a 4/5. I really believe more features could be developed, such as organizing reminders by category, whichever way the user wants ; or making it so that every task as an automatic reminder (that can be turned off but is set as default) and many more. Keep up the great and hard work!

If this was a free app, it’d be exactly what you’re looking for

2024-04-11

I ended up paying $10 for LazyBones, but if I could have tried it first I would not have purchased. The UI is ok, I wish the Stats page was actually helpful though, you just see that you completed some habits every day. Can y’all add all Notes to the Habit Stats page? I feel like note taking is a waste of time on LazyBones because it’s so hard to navigate to

Good so far, but I’m broke...

2024-11-16

I just got LazyBones recently and so far it’s good! I rly wish I could get the pro version but I can’t spend money on apps...
Idk how this stuff works but maybe keeping this how it is right now and adding a different way to do pro as well where instead of paying you allow adds? Like one add every time you go on LazyBones as most ppl using it will go on multiple times. That’s my recommendation for improvement, but all-in-all I think LazyBones is rly great!

Love this app, but a bit of an annoyance

2024-04-11

I love LazyBones, but there is a little bit that annoys me. It won’t let me track over 3 habits without having to pay for the pro filter. It doesn’t really make sense to have LazyBones if I can barely track down good habits, which was the only reason I got it

Really like it with one exception

2025-03-15

LazyBones has been great so far and the price is acceptable. The aesthetics are wonderful and simple. I would love to give LazyBones 5 stars if there was a way to go back to previous days and mark certain habits done. I haven’t found a way to do that, and it messed up my streak! I only forgot to mark it. I would also like to add that if we could see our streaks with EACH habit as well that would be very helpful. I like that we can see our ‘perfect days’ where we have completed all of our habits, but It would be helpful to be able to see which habits I’m not following through with. Please add these features in your next update if possible!!!

Almost 5 stars

2025-02-19

LazyBones is simple and has a aesthetically pleasing interface. It makes it more efficient!
I’m waiting to give it 5 stars though because, 1) in the Settings tab there’s a button for “Suggest a feature” and another one for “Report a Bug” and neither work and 2) I HIGHLY suggest (for Premium) allowing each task to be able to be a notification on my phone, instead of just 3 “Daily Reminders”. If I get reminded of every single item on my list without having to remember to open LazyBones to see my morning and night routines, it’ll be much more helpful to me!!

Thank you!

Simple & effective!

2024-06-10

One of my favorite apps!
I’ve been using it for a little over a couple weeks now, and I wish I found it sooner!
It also helps that I’ve coincidentally been reading Atomic Habits by James Clear.
LazyBones has made it super fun and easy to focus on creating new/healthy habits and routines.
Being a father of 3 under 5, I understand the importance of having good habits and a good daily routine to make life simpler, more productive, and more rewarding.
LazyBones has helped me create simple/specific habits to focus on building, and keep track of them easily, with reminders.
Definitely recommend.

10/10

2024-06-20

Love LazyBones , been a user before the new update and the update brought a new pew more clean style than what was already there (miss the old emoji type symbols though) I’m grateful for how helpful and useful LazyBones is especially to someone like me who often forgets to do tasks or needs a bit of a push

I love this app.

2024-05-06

LazyBones has been very helpful with starting a routine, and sticking to it. It’s easy to use and has a lot of customization options. I did buy the premium version, it’s inexpensive and worth it!

Love, but please add something!

2024-06-10

Love LazyBones. I love that I can do things in Shortcuts with it too, and I love even more that I can check off a task using Shortcuts and an NFC tag. One thing I would add is the ability to make things every # of weeks (like taking my recycling to the curb, which is every other week.) It messes with my habit count.

I paid for a year subscription and it let me use it a month and it won’t let me use it.

2024-05-18

I’ve contacted costumer support so many times for help with no response so now imma leave this review.
I really liked it the first month. I thought I was keeping good track of my habits and then I stopped using it for about half a week due to motherly duties. I just didn’t have time to be on my phone. And when I tried using LazyBones again it wouldn’t let me do anything unless I renew my subscription and I will not because I already paid for a year and only got a month out of it. I’ve asked for a refund, I’ve even asked for them to just help me and get me back into LazyBones . No response.
✨✨Don’t put your money into something that’s just gonna rip you off✨✨

Update: I was finally helped after leaving this review🥺 I feel bad. But thank you. That was really my only problem with LazyBones. Other than that I think it is wonderful.
