I have not been able to connect up to my Pit Boss Competition pellet grill since I purchased it last weekend. I have an account and it says it will find my device and choose it from the list and it just sits there and spins and never brings up a grill to connect to. I have restarted the grill and my phone and app several times and even have reinstalled the app. Very frustrating as the very reason I purchased this grill is because you could connect up and control and check on it by using the app. Not sure why I paid the extra money for that feature now as I can not use that feature.

How to fix SMOKE IT app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the SMOKE IT app on iPhone
Update SMOKE IT app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall SMOKE IT iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix SMOKE IT on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve SMOKE IT network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

SMOKE IT Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix SMOKE IT not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the SMOKE IT App
1. On android, goto Settings » SMOKE IT » click [Force Stop]

Update SMOKE IT to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear SMOKE IT App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » SMOKE IT » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart SMOKE IT.

Fix SMOKE IT unable to contact server/ SMOKE IT internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click SMOKE IT » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto SMOKE IT » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch SMOKE IT
