Homepoint for Homeowners Reviews

We just bought our first house and I was excited when I saw there was an app to manage our mortgage. Unfortunately I haven’t had an easy time with it. The setup of Homepoint is confusing and I have trouble finding where to go to look up past payments or my setup for recurring payments.
I also set up our recurring payments to be paid on the first of every month. I was really excited for this feature. Today is the first and our payment was never taken out? I’m not sure why but don’t want to stress that our mortgage isn’t gettting paid. Hopefully this can get fixed 🤞🏻

Nothing about Homepoint feels organized other than it simply looks nice…everything you do on here feels very vague.. auto pay features on other apps make me feel taken care of, in this case I feel like I have to take care of it..I scheduled two payments that were both posted on the “recent payments” section and one payment randomly disappeared..so who knows if both payments will go through..guess I’ll find out

Such a great app! It usually takes 5 minutes to pay by phone or online and have to add info BUT Homepoint was a breeze to navigate and it took less than a minute to submit a payment! Excellent, useful, and helpful app! I HIGHLY recommend Homepoint!

They always offer a neat and clean way to see how much I owe on my house. My only complaint would be that I had to go to them to figure. Out why my house payment went up 100$. Other then that, no complaints.

I changed the auto-pay a few months ago to another account through Homepoint , but not on the desktop website, and it didn’t update. I thought it was ok, to update through app, but Homepoint didn’t link to the website? I guess? Because it’s still autopay from the old card. Just make sure that if you are going to change the autopay cards to do it through the website, don’t trust Homepoint will make the changes for you.

App has a built in payment option but it doesn't work half the time. The make a payment leads to a menu of unselectable items.

I was able to log in easily and see my loan along with my payments. App functionality is great and would I definitely recommend to others!

Makes it easy to make payments on the go and view past statements.

Neither App nor full site will display a breakdown of my monthly payment (principle / interest / escrow)! This is an important basic feature for monthly accounting & tax purposes!

Every other lender I’ve worked with offers this ridiculously simple function. With this app, i can’t even call-up a monthly statement in Homepoint . True junk.

The only thing Homepoint is currently missing is the ability to view or download statements within Homepoint .

I’m enrolled in the flex pay bi-weekly program. That should not prevent me from making any extra payments when I choose to do so. However Homepoint won’t allow it. Pretty dumb that they can’t fix a simple issue. It’s been 6 months of going back and forth with their app development team.

Homepoint is so basic that I cannot even check statements and wanted me to go to the full site. I’ve used other mortgage companies app before and this app is far the worst when it comes to functionality. And pls STOP asking me to go paperless every time I login to your app and website!

Easy to use and very intuitive. Makes managing my loan a lot less stressful!

Homepoint, like their website doesn’t remember routing/account numbers. A feature the old site did. So you have to enter in your routing account number EVERYTIME.

The stupid thing is, they don’t do this for security reasons. If you go to their old site you’ll see that they’ve saved the routing and account number.

This has been a pain point with the new site when they introduced it months ago and still not been fixed.

Poor poor decision making to release an app without fixing problems first.

Homepoint is working great! Nicely designed, fast and easy to navigate.

In today’s time, I should have to call a number to make payments or set up automatic payments
Such a horrible app. Even the website doesn’t support the current times

Manage your mortgage from your phone!

App is down daily for “maintenance” and longer on weekends. Payments submitted still take days to process and information available is only the most basic.

Basically worthless - no messages or features of any kind.

When I look to review apps I often focus on two things; functionality (what we can do) and reliability/speed. Both on Homepoint are nothing shy of amazing. Homepoint is so smooth and runs great, has never shut down on me. The options you have to do via Homepoint are also great and include the most import thing... making a on time payment. I also loved the ability to change my auto pay settings being possible on Homepoint , I feel most companies force you to a web browser instead of allowing it in Homepoint .

I have nothing negative to say. Definitely makes the process of owning a home and managing a mortgage easier!

Still does not allow to save one time payment information so you don’t have to enter it every time.
