Super handy for more than just a watering schedule

I love the social aspect of PlantIdentifierCare , and the little tidbits of information on the home page.

PlantIdentifierCare will totally help you water more regularly, but also it just helps keep track what type of plants you own. I often forget the official names of my plants and having this information so readily on hand makes researching fertilization needs, when to repot, pest treatments etc etc way easier. It also helped me identify a few plants that I had 0 idea what kind of plant I owned.

For edits I’d love to see: I want to be able to keep more information about my plants. Which plants share containers, whether my plants are in a closed/semi closed terrarium or in water. The social and cataloging aspect of the apps has made it fun to add plants that I don’t need a water schedule but I also feel bad that those plants could affect their algorithm. I also want to add more scecific descriptions about my plants updates “turning greener” “my current goal for this plant” “testing out this propagation methods.” “This method kicked my fungus Gnar problem” I love to see what other people are thinking about their plants, and I want to share what works for me.

Love it, but…

I love PlantIdentifierCare already, but I do feel it’s missing some key features. It’s great that I can add all relevant details to be taken into account for proper care of the plant, but it would be very nice if PlantIdentifierCare could notify me that it’s time to bring the plant indoors based on my forecasted temperature. It would also be nice if each plant could have more than one profile so I could easily switch between “I have it outside under full sun conditions” and “I brought it inside under part sun/bright light conditions” or whatever the case may be. It would also be great if in the details section of each plant it would have “suggested” or “recommended” so that it could draw from a database and tell me “this plant prefers 6+ hours of direct sun” then I wouldn’t have to research each and every plant to find the ideal for it and then create a catalog on my phone so I won’t have to remember which plant likes these conditions versus those, etc.
Watering is important, but so is light, temps, soil, etc.
Personally, I’m not at all interested in any social features for PlantIdentifierCare. All I want is an app that I can tell it what plant I have, it tells me what the optimal care conditions for it are, I can tell it what conditions I have it in and it can tailor the care reminders based on that plus my location, with notifications.

So far PlantIdentifierCare is a great step towards that goal, but not yet there.

Lastly, it’s beautifully designed and very user friendly.

So helpful!

Greg is a phenomenal personal plant care assistant! I started out with the free membership which allowed me to add 5 plants. Within a few weeks I signed up for the lifetime membership and added all my plants. Greg has been very helpful in reminding me when it’s time to water my plants and even tells me how much water. If my plant is still wet on watering day, I simply tell Greg and the watering rhythm for that plant is adjusted. Greg will also make recommendations on where best to place plants based on lighting needs and provides general plant care information for each plant entered. There is also a feature where I can take photos of each plant to track progress and share photos and questions with other plant parents in the Greg community. The community is very active and willing to share their experiences and advice when you have questions. Overall, I am very happy to have Greg’s help and can’t wait to add more plants to my oasis!

A Beautiful, Simple App ... and GROWING!

I love PlantIdentifierCare. Truth be told, I spend a LOT of time on PlantIdentifierCare. Out of all the other plant apps in PlantIdentifierCare Store, you have to try this one. I can keep up with my addiction -- I mean my plants. PlantIdentifierCare reminds me when to water which plant, it tells me how much light I'm getting for the day, it allows me to peek in on the plants that other people have (and jot down their plants for my ever-growing wishlist), and it gives me cool tips about my plants and soil and how far to place my plants from light. I've had PlantIdentifierCare for more than a year and I will never go without it. I LOVE the way it "learns" how my plants' watering rhythms. I love all the new updates. PlantIdentifierCare just keeps getting better and better. The Greg Team is incredible! I even have the ability to rate my plants to help others: my String of Pearls is the bane of my existence -- go get a Cast Iron plant ... and download PlantIdentifierCare!

Loving this app so far!

I love almost everything about PlantIdentifierCare! It helps me remember to water, I also love the “story”option so you can track progress. Watching my plants grow makes me dancing and sing! As PlantIdentifierCare grows I look forward to more and more plant ID too! I don’t really like that you HAVE to answer some of the questions when you add a new plant. I have outdoor plants too so the window question doesn’t apply. Same with the amount of water given to the plant. A lot of my house plants are just misted so saying, “water .7 cups.” doesn’t compute well (at least for me.) being able to talk to friends on here for plant advice would be awesome too! I look forward to more and more. Love PlantIdentifierCare. Thanks Greg!

(ETA: I opened my app this morning and one of the “today’s insights” was, “Is it a good time to repot [where I live]? Yes!” It absolutely is NOT a good time in my area to repot. It’s still over 100 most days here and will be for awhile… I just wanted to let you guys know. ☺️

Clean & Useful!

The design is intuitive and very clean. It makes PlantIdentifierCare feel fun to use, especially with the community of people posting photos of their plants. So far it has been very useful for my watering schedule and I love how detailed the questions are for your plants and the location.
One thing I wish for though is that you expand beyond just watering. Having PlantIdentifierCare learn and give recommendations on things like adding fertilizer, misting, and changing soil in the same way as you’ve done with watering would be amazing! I think having one app to check for all the main parts of plant care would be perfect for people like me who love growing plants but are terrible with knowing when to do certain things for them lol. Other than just wanting more though, PlantIdentifierCare is plenty great as is!

Great for tracking water, but for the price it needs more

I have the paid version of PlantIdentifierCare… and I love how well PlantIdentifierCare allows me to track my plants watering schedule and so forth. It’s really helped me keep some plants alive and thriving, honestly! However, I was incredibly disappointed when I realized that though PlantIdentifierCare allows you to “track” items like repotting, trimming, new growth and how your plant is doing, there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to review this information. I’d love to be able to go back and see how long ago I repotted a plant, or how my plant was doing this time last summer versus now, with a graph or a timeline. I love the “story” option but it doesn’t allow me to see an actual history of the plant outside of photographs. For what I’m paying for PlantIdentifierCare , I think this would be a very worthwhile feature.

Also, I’d love it if when you specified if a plant was out doors, you didn’t have to fill out all the indoor information to have a “completed” plant.

Great!

Pros- great for my adhd cuz I’ll forget I actually have plants. I live that it connects to my weather in my location, and tells me how to support my plants through winter. And it’ll give me averages on how much light my plants are getting! PlantIdentifierCare is super clean and aesthetically simple. Super duper user friendly.

Cons- what I absolutely hate it that it only keep tracks of watering and is anti fertilizing. I love to fertilize plants as they show new growth with very gentle non burning natural fertilizer every other watering but there is no way to keep track of that since PlantIdentifierCare doesn’t “recommended” fertilizer I feel like a plant app should give you the choice wether or not you get to track fertilizing and still be able to give it your two cents.

Other then the con it’s a great app! And I just track fertilizing with my notes app along with it which is pretty annoying but functional. I definitely recommend. Especially if you don’t care about not having a fertilizing feature!

Some Love to My Plants

I have tried multiple plant apps over the years, but Greg is the first one that makes me feel like I’m doing the most to care for my plant family! I love how easy it is to upload pics, answer simple questions, & NAME MY PLANTS (i love the feature of name suggestions for the ones i hadn’t named yet). I thought the question about pot size was interesting, being it’s the first time I thought about this factor. It’s also really nice to have a watering reminder - like your “take your meds” alarm on your phone, but a much nicer, more exciting notification. Overall, I’m really impressed with Greg’s ability to identify my plant species through pics & immediately suggest a watering schedule. PlantIdentifierCare itself is cute & clean! So far, I’m a fan!

Lovely App!

There are a lot of great things I love about PlantIdentifierCare! I’ve tried plenty of plant apps before and none of the ones I have personally tried weren’t as hands-on. PlantIdentifierCare allows you to identify your plant types - for free! - and set up water schedules, which is already way more than what most apps do for free. They also factor in the pot size, distance from window, etc., which is also something I personally haven’t seen in an app before. However, I do have a few complaints. 1) there are some plants that aren’t in the data base, but this is understandable since PlantIdentifierCare seems to be somewhat new. 2) PlantIdentifierCare doesn’t allow for multiple plants in one pot, at least on the free version. I’ve got multiple pots with more than one type of plant inside and I wish I could list that on PlantIdentifierCare ! Overall, great app and a great experience.

I love Greg!

Greg is by far the best plant app I’ve used. I absolutely love that Greg reminds me when and how much to water based on location, pot type and size, and plant needs. Other apps I tried were just glorified alarms but Greg’s algorithm is constantly changing recommended watering amount and frequency based on my plants’ needs. I went from killing nearly every plant I touched to acquiring over 60 happy, healthy plants and I couldn’t have done it without Greg! The Greg team is always working to improve PlantIdentifierCare and I’m excited for future updates. Every time I’ve reached out to customer support, I’ve received a response the same day. Buy the lifetime $30 membership, you and your plants won’t be disappointed!

Thanks Greg team! You grow guys!

No ads, no payment, genuinely helpful

So far, I love PlantIdentifierCare. The community is amazing, the format is simple, and I’ve already learned so much as a new plant owner. I love knowing that certain things aren’t abnormal with my plants as well, like brown tips on my rattlesnake plant! It’s a growing database of information that’s just going to get better, and you get everything you need for free! I understand the paid version may be better, and might try it one day, but you’ll get as much as you need just from the basic version. 10/10 have recommended to so many friends so far!
One quick question though, do you need the paid version to share experiences?

Love this app!

I absolutely love PlantIdentifierCare and have been very excited seeing it update and get better. I have so many houseplants and sometimes when I buy them, they don’t even have a label as to what it is, or how to care for it. This helps me stay on track with specialized watering and when I watered one last, since they aren’t always watered the same! I hope soon there is an update for the newer iPhones- I am unable to select some actions or go back because those “buttons” are stuck on the top or bottom of my screen. It seems to crash a lot when selecting the new specialized plant care options as well, but I don’t mind since it picks back up where the screen closed out on. Seriously SO excited to see where PlantIdentifierCare goes, keep doing what you’re doing!

Plant lovers (beginners and experienced), this is for you

I love PlantIdentifierCare. It’s so fun to learn more about my plants from Greg and the community. There are some really knowledgeable contributors to help id common plant issues, and let’s be real, everyone has a question or needs advice from time to time. I really like that Greg adjusts your watering schedule based on your geographic location and the location of your plants in your home. And when you water or snooze your plant, Greg adjusts your schedule based on you telling it your plant’s needs. There’s still some room for Greg to improve but they are so open to feedback from the community. Glad I made this purchase.

Best plant app! Needs some updates.

This is the best plant app out there, so fun being part of a community that is knowledgeable and active. A couple things i’ve found myself needing: - A place to save/ like species that you like - Option to like other’s plants or comment on plants. - Stories/moments for specific plants you own show up if you click on plant but only privately, it would be nice if people’s moments showed up on their accounts. - A place where you can easily reach and look at your previous posts. - When you look at someone’s plants, select one, then go back you lose your place in their posts. Thanks for making a great app!

Love it!

PlantIdentifierCare is seriously amazing in its’ simplicity. It does exactly what you need to organize any amount of plants!

I went from like 2 plants to 15 in 2020, so it was getting hard to keep track of who needed to be watered and when. Plants were struggling and I was getting fed up with the chore! I downloaded PlantIdentifierCare, snapped a picture and answered a few questions and PlantIdentifierCare set up everything else! I just get an alert with which one of my plant babies needs some water. Now, it’s fun and easy! I’ll take each plant down, water them and wipe their leaves and give them a nice change of scenery. All around amazing app to simplify your plant care routine.

Happy little trees 🌲🌳🌿🌱🎨

Thank you so much for creating this super easy and fun plant care app. I used to only water my plants when they started to drop or leaves started to yellow or brown out. Not only does PlantIdentifierCare send reminders so I know to water them before that under stress before them, but it also allows me to know what’s best for each type of plant. Otherwise I probably would just all water them the same amount. Great idea.
Maybe think about adding a section on fertilizer amount and when to add or if I have to monitor soil pH. I am a chemistry teacher so I always wondered about that but ever have the time to look into it.

Pretty good...

I like PlantIdentifierCare a lot, but there are a couple of things that would make it GREAT: 1) more options for tracking care (like misting schedule, fertilizing schedule, whether the plant is on a humidity tray, pruning schedule, repotting schedule)- there’s so much more to plant care than light and water; 2) ability to chat with other members- it would be so helpful to get tips from a member that has a beautiful and thriving plant when I can’t get mine to grow, or to find out where someone got a particular plant, etc.; 3) be able to keep more than one picture of each plant so you can watch it grow over the years.

Just my suggestions, but I think those things would make PlantIdentifierCare indispensable.

Don’t follow the water schedule

The water scheduled idea is cool. However if I watered on the recommended schedule all of my plants would be dead. I live in the desert and it is recommending my plants get watered only once every 6 to 14 days depending on the plant. Most of my plants need to be watered every 1 to 2 days and some times twice a day to combat the heat and lack of humidity. I lost 2 plants in one day because I was a few hours late watering due to an appointment. If I listened to PlantIdentifierCare all of them would be dead.

Also the social feed is useless and I’m not interested in that at all. Half of the time it doesn’t identify the plants or identifies them wrong. Multiple bugs/crashes. Doesn’t offer any support other than a watering schedule. Not worth having the free version and definitely not worth paying for paid version so that you get watering reminders.

Awesome app

I love PlantIdentifierCare. It’s easy to use and informative. It helps me keep up with what’s going on with my 55+ houseplants. It reminds me to water them, and learns from my usage to adjust recommendations. It also allows you to connect to other plant parents, and the community is awesome. You can ask for help or just show off your plant babies. I have the paid version and I absolutely think I’m getting my money’s worth. I would not hesitate to recommend PlantIdentifierCare to others who want to catalogue their plants and get help caring for them.

Compliments to the crew

PlantIdentifierCare ’s simple, aesthetically pleasing, and helpful, but in addition to that, the customer service is really good. My app started crashing whenever I opened it about a week into use, which was fine. I had my plants’ watering dates down and it’s a pretty new app, so I shot them an email. Martin was really polite and responsive, and kept me updated on what they thought the problem might be. A new update came out today, and after uninstalling and reinstalling, I’ve got my app going again. Kudos, Greg and crew, kudos. 😁

Greg Is My New Bestfriend

After spending most of my stimulus money on plants to make my house livable during quarantine, I realized I was left with about 30 plants of different shapes and sizes and types with no clue how to take care of them. After months of trying to keep them from dying, Greg has taught me how to keep them alive and thriving. For someone who knows nothing about plants or the science behind it PlantIdentifierCare makes it simple and possible for even me. It fits into your schedule and makes the whole process a lot less scary. Thanks Greg!

Greg is a superhero for my plants!

PlantIdentifierCare is a literal life saver for my plants. Before Greg, I never really knew when I actually watered them and wound up either over watering them because it was too soon or waited way too long to water them. With the alerts and reminders, I am kept to a perfect watering schedule and they are
thriving. I love the “Family Picture” page where I can see each plant and their progress from the care PlantIdentifierCare is helping me give to them. Super easy to use and definitely turned this black thumb green!

this is my new favorite app

i love PlantIdentifierCare so much and i feel like it is truly helpful! it factors in so many things to make sure that your plant is getting the proper care. i love how i can show my plant family and i really enjoy being able to see other peoples plants because it gives me ideas of what i may want my next plant to be. i STRONGLY recommend PlantIdentifierCare to anyone who has plants, especially to inexperienced plant owners because it helps a lot and gives information about the plants.

Great App but...

I like PlantIdentifierCare ! You can put in your plant babies names and add pictures. I really like that I don’t have to guess when to water.

The interface is really cute and easy to navigate. The colors are nice. The graphics are nice.

My only suggestion is that it would be nice to put the type of plant in if we know it. PlantIdentifierCare does try to catalog the specific type of plant, but it isn’t perfect. I know most of my plants and think it would be nice to just type it in.

Did Greg save my plants or me?

If you’re like me...Quarantine life + bought house plants = “how am I killing these plants already?!” That’s when PlantIdentifierCare saved my plants and my sanity. Greg uses smart tech to identify your plants and their best watering schedules. I love that it’s simple, easy to use, and fun! With Greg, I don’t have to worry about my new plant roommates anymore. I’ve been using PlantIdentifierCare for a month, and I now enjoy singing to them and watching them grow! Whether you’re a newbie or have a green thumb, Greg helps you organize so that’s one more thing off your list. Thanks Greg!

Cute and smart app

Super cute and soothing interface. Uncanny ability to recognize my plants! Honestly I don’t remember their names at all as soon as the labels are taken off. Lol. App is very easy to use — just water your plants and swipe to record. It will learn your pattern and remind you!!

I do wish it will provide recommendation on a new plant though. Takes several watering cycles to learn the pattern and if I forget to log it, it takes even longer.
