Plantie - Stay focused Reviews

I love this productivity app! It’s simple and easy to use, and it helps to keep me motivated by using coins as rewards! I can’t wait to buy a new background! I can sync it up to my Apple Watch and get notifications from there so I don’t have to look at my phone all the time.

***One critique/suggestion that I can give to the developers would be to add an option for continuous task!***

When I have to get on my phone in order to manually start break times and task times I tend to get distracted by other notifications and social media. I would love the option to just work continuously for a few hours and take breaks/get back to work when I’m prompted to by my Apple Watch or by the notification sounds from Plantie without having to go into my phone every time.

Oh my god Plantie is amazing it helped me find motivation to do things and as someone with extremely low motivation who gets easily distracted, this is amazinggggg!! I love the interface, it’s simple and perfect. BUT. I stopped using it for one reason-there aren’t enough plants. I don’t know, but for me, I was working towards unlocking them, and when I got them all, I lost motivation with Plantie. Just adding a seasonal plant isn’t enough, pls make many more plants, that look different or unique, that are colorful or weird or something. My goal was always to get coins to spend on the plants. Now I haven’t used Plantie in about a year… yeah. That long. And there has only been one more plant added since then. I understand that this is not an easy request and would take more time and effort, but I realllyyyy think this would make me more interested and keep me and others using Plantie!!! :)))) ok sorry it’s so long, I hope y’all take this into consideration

Hopefully this doesn’t get buried beneath all the reviews, but I thought of a possible addition to Plantie ! I often have a lot of different homework tasks that I need to complete, but I’m not sure how long it will take. I think it might be helpful if there was a section on Plantie where you could input a list of tasks needing to be done, and then for every task that you check off, you can get coins! I think this would be beneficial because it’s hard to gauge how long each task(such as writing an essay or doing a math problem) will take. I know the point is to work for a certain amount of time, but for people who like to work based off of how many assignments need to be finished before you can take a break, I think this addition could be helpful. ...this works! Like many others right now, I've been working from home since the COVID-19 quarantine became mandatory, and I have been having AWFUL issues focusing. My productivity went down by maybe 30 percent, and I was worried it might become a permanent issue. But not with this! My eight hour workdays are now totally bearable, and I can now schedule 50-55 minutes of focus time with 5-10 minute breaks at the end of the hour. My productivity returned to office-level heights. Plantie is pretty, functional AND fully-fledged all while remaining completely free. The other productivity timers either require a purchase or have limited capabilities—don't waste your time. Stick with this.

I used to use StayFocusd and Flora before, but they were clunky and just didn’t feel like the right thing. They had too many bells and whistles or just dull interface sections. this app has a very slick and sexy interface and navigation as well as the features are very smooth. Thank you for putting this effort developers and founders of Plantie, your app helps me manage my attention span which would be otherwise unruly without this app’s help! Five stars and I recommend this to students or office workers who just want an app for undivided focus without too much hassle.

I love Plantie, it helps me focus and stay on task but The first time I was using itI wanted to test out what it would do if I switched Plantie or it’s on my home screen nothing happened so I assumed that there was no notification then the time I was using it for real I’ll stayed productive for about 45 minutes and at the end when I went to check on my tree it’s at the task had been disrupted .A suggestion for me would be that maybe you guys could add a notification when I switch an app and go to the home screen. Otherwise Plantie is really really cool and helps me stay productive for a long long periods of time thank you!

I’ve tried all kinds of task timers and they always do more than I need and start to feel like a chore. I kind of need constant stimulus to keep up with anything. This is the beauty of Plantie. It’s INCREDIBLY simple and it’s gameified. No task lists. No groups. Just a timer that gives you points if you make it to the end without switching apps. That little bit of motivation to stay on task and the frequent dopamine hits of being rewarded for it have kept me focused on work in a way I haven’t been in ages. I highly recommend this for anyone struggling to stay focused at work.

Hi! I’ve been using this app for a while, and it’s really helped me stay on track with my tasks. But, recently I’ve noticed a small issue— sometimes I would open the this app app while I have my time to focus still going, so I could check how much time I have left. Moments after a close my phone, it would send me a notification saying my task was disrupted. This would occur only when I wanted to focus for 40+ minutes, and I don’t exit out of Plantie . This has been happening a few times, and I just want to let you know. Thank you! :)) And again, this is just a minor issue.

I love this app!! It’s helped me so much with staying on task and focused, and I’ve become so much more efficient. I used to spend all night doing homework because I would constantly be distracted, but I set a certain time for myself to do a subject and it pushed me to finish in the allotted time. Now, I finish homework before dinner, and I have a lot of time to do what I like to! I also like that feature where it won’t let you exit Plantie or else it will restart your task and you don’t get the coins. And I like the fact that you can change that setting too!

I love Plantie so much! i’m currently studying to skip a grade and my goal is to study 1-2 hours a day-but it’s hard to fulfill that sometimes with my regular work load from school. Plantie makes it so much easier. from the cute and simple interface to the minimalistic “game-like” style-(10 minutes gets you one coin, use coins to buy different plans), Plantie is one of my most beloved and i will always be recommending it to people. again, thank you thank you!!!🤍

I used to have Forest, but deleted it and when I went to go re-download it, I saw you had to pay😠
So I searched for an alternative, and found this app. So far I love it. It’s simple and straightforward. There are adds, but not pop-ups that fill the screen. I quite enjoy the fact that afterwards, you are given a brake timer as well. I only have 2 complaints:
1.More plants to collect
2.A lock screen banner that shows how much time is left
Other than that, it’s perfect

I ABSOLUTELY love the simplistic design, minimal controls, and engaging user face design :) (and I’m 14, so I’m very used to complicating and very detailed apps for this kind of stuff)
It’s so refreshing to just go to a calming, non distracting FREE app and just study while an Apple tree or a huggable cactus just sits there

Hi my name is Elizabeth and I have not an issue, but I was wondering if you can maybe have a mode or setting where you can exit Plantie and open other apps while the timer keeps going but you can choose the apps and only use the educational apps because I mostly do my school work and sometimes I need to use my other School apps so I would like to access the apps i need in order to finish my work. But overall I think Plantie is great for concentrating!

I love Plantie. It keeps me focussed and on pace with my work, while at the same time it makes me want to save up coins and buy cooler plants! I just have one suggestion; maybe an option to pause the task? Because sometimes I need to to and do something else for just a moment, and I want to spend my full amount of time on the task itself, but I don’t want to start over. All in all, it’s an amazing app and I would recommend it to anyone who has work to do.

I do online school and I have a very hard time becoming motivated, which I have been trying to look work on. Once I had 13 assignments to get done and even though I’d work for 7 hours straight without a break I’d get nothing done. I just downloaded Plantie 2 hours ago and I’m already almost done with an assignment. I highly recommend Plantie it works great even if it’s not for studying!

I really like Plantie and I don’t have any complaints, just a suggestion. What if I could leave Plantie , and have the way this app works apply to a different app. So let’s say I’m working on my phone, not somewhere else. I wish to be able to leave Plantie and work within another app, but if I were to try to leave that app, this app would stop my task or give me 30 seconds to switch back.
I think this could be a really cool feature, just a suggestion!!

I like Plantie since it’s free and it has a Gould variety I like that it has different trees and I like that u get breaks but I wish you could see the tree growing not just all finished once complete I also would like a specific apps that you would choose to be accessed since there may need to be used for school it’s overall a great app and I love that you get a recap from the year and get badges

I LOVE Plantie! I always have a hard time focusing on homework, but Plantie helps me a lot. The layout isn’t distracting and it’s simple and uncluttered. It’s also very straight forward and easy to use. There’s never hidden fees and it never asks for your money to buy stuff. You collect these cute plants that act as a reward for staying on task. Overall, 10/10, would definitely recommend :)

Okay. So I LOVE Plantie. It helps me keep track of time in a fun way— by planting 🌳! The only thing is there’s this little add at the bottom of the screen in the task section. It’s kind of annoying to me, but I understand that you guys need to get money some way. So it’s fine if you don’t take it away. So, amazing app. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR NO IAP!!! I love apps with none. I HIGHLY recommend Plantie for anyone. All ages. 🍎🍒🥥🍑🍊

this app is a lot easier to use than the apps similar to this one. Although it is a shame this one does not have the opportunity to help the environment like the other apps, I find that I have been much more productive while using Plantie compared to my experience with the others. It is simple enough that I can quickly use it while working, and I love how easy it is to navigate in general.

This has already helped me telework better! And for free!

My only qualm is that there’s no “enable notifications” option in the in-app settings. If I “don’t allow” notifications upon first session, then I have to delete Plantie and redownload to get notifications.

Other than that, I love the trees, the achievements, the optional ad video during the break that gives me more coins, and how minimal the ad bar is at the bottom.
I would love to see a “keep phone awake” option so that I can see my timer at any moment without having to wake up my phone.

5/5, would highly recommend!

I have trouble focusing due to the online work since it crosses my mind. Now i can put a timer and when i’m done i set a break timer and i can get my work done so easily and it’s not stressful at all.

Plantie really helps me focus on my homework because I love plants and seeing them grow makes me happy so when I stay focused on my homework I get to see a little tree grow and it’s just perfect for me!

I never write reviews but I have to for Plantie. Plantie has kept from not focusing on the things that’s need to get done and has kept my productivity levels up!

Best pomodoro app of them all. Thanks for keeping this free. Ads at the bottom completely harmless. You guys created a great productive product. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate it & im still only halfway done with school!

Plantie is perfect for me!! i love how it’s a tree (i love nature) and i feel like anyone could use it because it’s that simple! i will definitely share to friends and family because a lot of them have trouble focusing too. best of luck in future progress

ps a suggestion i would use is to use a pause button. this would be useful if you needed to use the restroom or get a snack (etc.)

I think that Plantie is good In both design and it’s useful.

This is a cute little timer. I really want a pause feature. Pausing does not equal disruption

The idea of Plantie is great, but it seems whenever my phone screen turns off Plantie would say the task is disrupted. Not sure what's the case here.
