Roku TV Remote Control : Smart Reviews

So me and my hubby were sitting here in bed. Wrapped up in our comforters freezing just getting home from work, watching Netflix. When the show was just getting good and we were settling in it pops, “Are you still watching?”
As I exclaimed, “oh no! dun duuun dunning”. The remote was across the room sitting right in front of the tv. Hubby grabs my cell home, searches for the pretty lavender icon on my screen and clicked the center button to then appear our tv continuing to the next scene.
I had the biggest OH MY GOSH! face you could imagine! And right when hands me my phone, your ad “rate RokuTVRemoteControl 1-5 stars” appeared!
I then said, “don’t mind if I do.” Lol

This Roku Ultra replaces a Roku 2 which wasn’t going to be supported by Netflix soon. It has all the great channels I could want and maybe more. The voice activated remote is interesting but I don’t see much reason to use it. Perhaps I’ll use it with practice. It’s nice that it came with JBL headphones to plug into the Roku remote control. That way you can still move around the room... if you carry the remote. Remote headphones would be an upgrade but it’s not a feature I use as I live alone and don’t need to worry about the TV noise. Make sure that the activation company doesn’t try to sell you on a one time account activation fee because it’s a scam... they tell you that it’s not a charge for activation support and insist that it’s not a scam. There should be no charge for activation of your device... no one time only/account maintenance or guarantee fees. It’s bogus and they’re really insistent. It’s a scam.

I've been looking for a good Roku app. I lose the remote way too often but always have my phone, so this is helpful. The design is definitely of higher quality compared to other apps I've tried. The ability to use touch key & fast forward/rewind is nice and setting favorite channels is great 👍🏻 so I paid to upgrade and remove ads, but going to wait on the widget until it's iOS 14 compatible, which it seems the developer is currently working on. 🤞🏻 Also hoping there will improvements on volume/mute (which currently doesn't seem to be functioning) and choosing favorites (right now if I try to RokuTVRemoteControl crashes) - thus the loss of 1 star. But overall the best Roku app I've found to date.

I’m a first time mom with a one month old baby so when she’s asleep in my arms, there’s no getting up to look for the remote lol I took a chance & downloaded this with low expectations. It works great! No lag, no distance issue. As long as your tv is connected to wifi as well as your phone then there are 0 problems with RokuTVRemoteControl. I can even turn my tv upstairs off when I’ve gone downstairs. Recommend it if you’re one of those people who lose the remote all the time lol with the tiny roku one, it isn’t hard to do

We have a family that cannot keep track of remote. So much so we think someone threw out the last one by accident. Desperate to give our 2 year old their morning cartoon my husband found RokuTVRemoteControl. At first we were thinking of it as a temporary thing, but after months went by and now the whole family has RokuTVRemoteControl on their phone. With no more family drama we are sticking to this. The free version is all we have had and no complaints. So grateful for RokuTVRemoteControl!

I downloaded this rogue remote tv app after exploring other Riki apps as other Rocky apps have connectivity and pop up ads which is frustrating at times. Finally I could find an app where everything is available easily and best thing is it can switch between roku and RokuTVRemoteControl remembers all my favorite channels. Finally on the ads, there is very minimal ads which will never interfere while operating app. It’s the best roku remote you find an AppStore at $0.99 and I upgraded it after finding its better to have full app.

RokuTVRemoteControl is such a great remote especially if you have a roku smart tv it downloads in seconds and literally syncs right to your tv with no problems or having to go to any guides and has complete access to everything your regular remote has and best part of all of it it is free it helps me best when my wife falls asleep or I wake up in the middle of the night and and my wife is sleeping with the remote and I don’t want to wake her out of her beautiful sleep great app don’t wait definitely get as soon as possible thank you Roku remote!!! Connects to TVs fairly easily, and works fine. But the most annoying part of RokuTVRemoteControl is the pop ups to buy the upgrade. I decided to buy the upgrade because I though it would be worth it, but I cannot access the features and I still get constant pop ups to buy the upgrade. Another annoying thing is the keyboard function, which is very handy for typing, but it skips keyboard inputs sometimes. Certain letters just do not get typed in the screen when I type them in RokuTVRemoteControl and characters like the “@“ symbol do not appear.

Well after our puppy decided to eat our 3rd remote we decided to download one, we have three different types first one worked great until the update, so than we gave another app a shot well that one nonstop showed adds! At this point I’ve had it, my kids we’re like mom give it one more chance, so I gave in read reviews & and I am pleased to tell ya this will be our last download!!! RokuTVRemoteControl works like a charm & has given us all no problems whatsoever!!!

My kids managed to finally break my remote to the tv in my bedroom. It survived for almost 3 years. I was about to order one online but wouldn’t arrive until next week. Called a few stores and they were out of stock. Anyway the kids told me I can just download one so I looked and Tada! Lol RokuTVRemoteControl seems great it works just the same and I like it even more because the kids cant use my tv in my room when I’m not home since I downloaded the remote app on my phone! 😂

Your asking me to enable local network settings when I do you ask again I do it again and your still asking that same thing I lost a remote and trying to use my phone to use but your still asking and making me miss my favorite shows because when I do something I have to do it again and again and again as I am righting this I still can’t find my remote

Only Roku Remote App that works correctly all the time when none of the other apps like this work at all ever this works all the time without any problems and is easy to use with many good features well worth getting RokuTVRemoteControl to use is Very Good And Won’t disappoint you Like the rest of the Roku Apps disappoint all the time this one is a keeper and only works and does it job it’s supposed to all the time is Very Good

After trying two other roku remote apps, this was the only one that would work with our outdated equipment. We have an older version roku, and an older version flat screen tv that isn’t smart. The remote obviously can not control our TV, but it controls the roku just fine, which is the only thing we wanted it for.

I upgraded to the paid version of this remote with the thought I’d be able to control all the apps on the tv as well as my direct tv cable box. I was wrong. This doesn’t allow control of the cable box. I was hoping I’d be able to use the pause and record functions and I can’t. For this I’m sorry I paid for RokuTVRemoteControl as the free version did basically the same thing the paid version does.

I’ve used at least five different remotes listed to work with my 55” smart TCL tv.
The first was exactly what I wanted with the headphone option on the screen of my iPhone. After about a month it somehow started losing signal with me sitting in one spot. Now there’s not one listed with that. I’m going to just order the roku with the headphone jack in the remote. There’s little ones in the house and I don’t like playing my explicit stuff when they are around, or my music loud. My two cents.

It is very early to use and I really like that I can turn it on and off from RokuTVRemoteControl . The others I’ve tried wouldn’t let you do that. I am having trouble setting the favorites list I go to settings and it sends me to my Home Screen. I have once gotten in there however, when i hit one of the channels listed sends me to my home screen like it does just when I press settings. But this is definitely my fav roku app!

I lost my original ROKU remote control. It was so small that it was a miracle that I was able to keep up with it for five months. My daughter said I needed to stop looking for the ROKU remote because she could get RokuTVRemoteControl , put it on my phone and never have a problem again. She was right! The ROKU remote ap on my cellphone was genius. I could do whatever I wanted to do smoothly. No problem! I love ❤️ it!

I love RokuTVRemoteControl , it’s better than using the remote. but I decided to pay for the widget option as well, and it doesn’t come up. I can’t find it or figure out how to make it appear, even after pressing “edit”, it just doesn’t come up in the list. besides that one point, I rate it five stars due to productivity. it’s faster and easier than the actual remote, and more convenient as well.

Roku has this is a nifty back up plan. You can make your smart phone into a fully functional remote control. I even prefer it in the PM with light up screen our remotes don’t have Once in awhile get a build up of ads or promos. I just turn my phone totally off and it is perfect when I go to use it again.

RokuTVRemoteControl is helpful when I can’t find my remote, but when I got RokuTVRemoteControl I expected there to be a volume button. I can’t even purchase a volume button!

Onto my next problem, you have to buy the widget!?!? When I saw it on the download screen, it didn’t say you would have to buy it!
But I mean I really don’t mind buying things on apps, but I read other reviews and some people said that they have bought it and not been able to get the widget.

I was having a problem with the remote for my Roku 3 and came across RokuTVRemoteControl by accident. I am so happy I found it! It works better than the remote my Roku 3 came with. I was going thru a set of batteries every two weeks and the hard plastic buttons were not touch friendly. I only wish I would have found this sooner. 😁

I lost my original insignia roku tv remote a few days ago and it has been so frustrating. I remember reading on my tv box that you could download something like this to control your tv. This is such an amazing app and to all of its creators and developers, thank you very much. God bless🙏🏼🙂

It seems that being a phone app there would be the ability to type your search in. The apps review allows me to type why not RokuTVRemoteControl itself ....hmmmph. Other than that I can navigate my Roku from my device. (Pssst just navigate and search slowly cause I can’t type on it. It took me longer to find my show than it did to TYPE this whole review!) so for the roku app people I support you in adding a typing search function. That said it’s free so ehhh

I misplaced my remote - again. It hasn’t turned up and I didn’t want to spend money on another remote. I remembered RokuTVRemoteControl for Appletv and prayed there was one for Roku. Prayers answered! I am no longer racking my brain and turning my room upside down for a remote control! I’m sure when it is ready to come out of hiding it will.

I had another app for Roku TV and the ads were super invasive. RokuTVRemoteControl has reasonable banner adds that don’t at all interfere with the basic function. Best of all, when I do take notice of the adds they’re for very local companies, which I really don’t mind getting. It’s perfect.

I had an older version of RokuTVRemoteControl that allowed me to listen through my Bluetooth headset instead of through the TV speakers. This feature was called Private Listening. The other day RokuTVRemoteControl forced me to update it but now it does not offer private listening. I need that feature for a variety of reasons, please restore it in RokuTVRemoteControl !

This roku remote app far been the most convenient app and best thing is no setup required. Install and its ready to go. I am impressed and having it in IPad now. I like volume control from RokuTVRemoteControl. With this no need to have real remote and it saved me buying remote controller.

Only feature lacking is if you have multiple rokus that are the model, it’s hard to tell which you are selecting because it says the model name not the device nickname.

Besides that, it beats the other remote apps hands down.

I always lose my remote. Having RokuTVRemoteControl is amazing and RokuTVRemoteControl has everything and it’s so easy to use. It’s perfect because I never lose my phone. Thank you so much for a perfect app.

Recently broke my roku remote and instead of paying almost $10 for a new one I decide to try RokuTVRemoteControl instead. This works for me and I love the features. Makes watching TV easy. Thank you

Since my phone is always near me, I never miss a thing with RokuTVRemoteControl. It connects right to my Roku tv and works even better that the original factory remote.

Very simple to navigate. I only wish it turned tv on and off as well. Over all though, i downloaded 4 other remotes that weren’t worth anything.

The remote that came WITH the TV crapped out. Put new batteries in and the remote itself died. Then I got the remote app, but it doesn’t turn on the tv initially. I have to go and turn the tv on manually and then “maybe” the remote app will work after I open and close it 3-4 times. It’s bothersome bc the remote app should work automatically as long as it is on the same WiFi connection...but it doesn’t.
