I’ve been using iRemote for over a year and it had been fantastic. After the recent update to v2.0, several features I utilized (mainly the icon that brought play options in a drop down from the player) have been removed. While the interface is great for those who upload things to Kodi, for us that stream and enjoy subtitles, offsets, and volume amplification settings.... This is lacking severely now. I even emailed the developer about the issue and received no response about the issue. Two weeks and no response so far. Overall, it’s still a decent remote for Kodi... I just can’t stand the new update.

iRemote is basic. You can move up, down left, right. And of course the standard Kodi shortcuts are included. iRemote is mediocre. It works for how it was intended but there are no real features. Even without the lack of features it’s still a useable alternative to the official, however the reason I’ll be deleting it after this review is the god awful clicking sounds it makes that can’t even be disabled via the “settings” page, or lack there of.

The shortcomings of the standard Kodi remote are it is ugly and complicated. iRemote looks nicer and is dead simple. Maybe too simple. Also it clicks. Not sure why this is. Remotes haven’t clicked since the 1980s.
So this is very much like using the standard Kodi, slimmed down, and made prettier. It does also seem a little faster. But I wish it were smarter and hadn’t just sort of copied the standard layout. For instance I should be able to turn subtitles on and off with one tap, where there is only one subtitle stream. I should be able to switch audio with one tap where there are only two streams. That’s the right kind of simplicity.

So far I am indeed digging iRemote quite a bit. Honestly I think it’s interesting that they give you the upgrade for leaving a review. I don’t really have a problem with it!

App is speedy and does exactly what I want it too; I’ve had a couple random disconnects here and there, but that could be more poor overworked Raspberry Pi. Either way, no big deal to just connect again!

This is in my experience the best available Kodi remote app. I still relay on others that do a couple of things ore easily or intuitively. I also don’t like having to switch between the “Remote” and “Now Playing” interfaces. It’s not awful, but those would better if integrated into a single interface. Still, I like it better than any other Kodi app.

Of all Kodi remotes, this one works great! Only downfall is when using the search engine to look for a title, the connection between the two does not always work very well and seems to not be connected. Other than that, it’s a great remote and seems more user friendly than some others I have used.

I tried using the remote that came with my Kodi box but it was lacking in the keyboard department as well as response, with iRemote I am able to search faster with less effort that I was able to do previously.
Definitely a must for box users that do not want to buy a new remote or for PC users that wish to have a more ha dis free experience on their PC when it is connected to a tv or projector.

While I am unfamiliar with how Cody works on iOS devices, I was confident that it will designed and will develop dedication like this could help me figure out how to get it working as far as being able to stream content to my new Chomecast. I have read that this is possible -- it's just a matter of figuring it out, which leaves me feeling much more hopeful than I otherwise would be.

I’ve had some pretty bad luck with other apps. Between disconnections from servers and having to restart or reconfigure my settings thinking it was my computer. I would have to close out kodi in the computer and restart it for it to reconnect to the remote. I really enjoy the amount of features on iRemote and hope it grows. Thank you :)

I've tried quite a few Kodi Remote apps and so far this is the best one. I don't know what the pro version will do but without the pro version I've been using it for months with no problem. I'll probably write another review once I see what the upgraded version does different. I am also writing this review just to get rid of the little red box that floats around everywhere.

Although I've had iRemote on my phone for a long time, it was only recently that I decided to start using it so I can have my laptop connected to my TV and hang out on the couch.

I would say it takes a little bit a learning to smoothly operate it outside of the basic features but it's definitely worth the effort.

Let’s face it, Kodi can be buggy and confusing. And using a third party remote can make things even more confusing and annoying.
This Kodi remote makes everything feel like it should. I sometimes think I’m using my TV instead, it’s that reliable and responsive.
If you use Kodi, you want this remote app. That is all.

This is the best Kodi remote I've tried this far. It's fast, responsive, and user friendly. The other Kodi remote apps that I've tried have had poor connectivity issues and I had for kill iRemote and restart so many times. This new app is much more dependable and also a time saver when searching for movies.

The integration and design are both a great addition to my desktop controls. The visuals are nice and so far it has been an easy tool to get the hang of. The setup was fairly simple, especially if you have even just a little experience in setting up wifi tablet controllers.

I run kodi on a raspberry pi and this remote works perfectly for it, I have had no issues from the remote and any problems I have had have come from the pi itself. I highly recommend iRemote if you are looking for a solid and clean remote for your setup.
