FocusPlant is the only one that actually motivates me so much more to focus on my work!!

The many plants and levels you can unlock keeps this game going for me. Bonus—everything in this game is so adorable and the animation is joyful and nice to look at.

Also, THANK YOU for not making FocusPlant so ad heavy like other apps can be! The only way you need to watch ads is if you want bonus rewards which is a pretty good incentive because I always want extra rewards to grow my plants and buy more things from the store 🙂

I really can’t wait until the developers make a multiplayer mode for focusing on tasks, I think that’d be pretty cool!

One thing I think would be cool to add, is if you can actually see the gardeners around the plants! I find myself pretty disconnected from the gardeners so adding this feature would make it much more enjoyable and realistic? 🙂

Lastly, if there could be more options for land bgm and white noise such as coffee shop jazz or people talking in the background, etc., that’d be awesome! Instead of me having to go on my laptop to play some bg noise, this would be convenient!

Other than that, great job developers! Keep up the good work!

I downloaded FocusPlant to be incentivized to stay off of my phone when I have tasks I need to complete. For that purpose it totally does the trick but there are other things I take issue with.
My biggest issue with FocusPlant is the ads. I don’t mind them as a whole because they are necessary for FocusPlant to make money and run. However, I am constantly being shown ads upon entering FocusPlant -even multiple on occasion. On the other hand I try to watch ads when given the chance for extra boosts in the game and they are never available. Why am I constantly being shown ads (that do nothing for me) but am not able to watch ads when I choose to?
With several other apps that offer almost the same thing (and not an issue that affects the gameplay so much) I can’t see focus plant as an app worth having. Before you download look at other options because it’s a shame to have to delete and switch over.

I never write reviews but not to do so on FocusPlant would be an act of ungratefulness. After downloading FocusPlant my productivity and concentration has skyrocketed. I use it not just for work but for moments in my day which I call “transitions”. You know, that little time pocket that occurs when you move from one task to another. Those five minutes that make or break your productivity, that’s when I’ve used FocusPlant . Since it locks my phone for five minutes I’m forced to move into my next task instead of wasting time scrolling through social media. The ads that play in order to earn more “suns” or “raindrops” I play them gladly since the developers definitely deserve their income with FocusPlant. Much love 💛

FocusPlant is literally SO amazing! Let’s start with how it actually helps you stay away from your phone and focus. My phone is almost always on a focus session, and my screen time overall has shown a decrease.

Another thing that makes FocusPlant stand out is how it’s an adorable game as well! I love to play it a lot, and it’s not addicting (I try my best to avoid addicting games)! Planting and taking care of all of your super cute plants is just an awesome experience. I really enjoy expanding my gardens, opening chests to reveal more gardeners, and getting to join a group. FocusPlant in general is just so cute and you can get two things at once: a great game and less screen time.

One thing I would really like, though, would probably be a chat feature in the groups. It would be really fun to get to chat to the other members in the group, and we could feel closer to each other and help out.

But other than that, FocusPlant is TOTALLY worth trying out! I will definitely recommend it to my friends! I’ve already told my dad about it and he loved the idea. Thank you so much! 💕

You can basically play through the game with the raindrops that the game gives you— the chests and the whale award you with way too many raindrops, so many so to the point that you basically never have to focus to get raindrops, because there’s always an abundance of them, effectively nullifying the entire point of it as a focusing app. My suggestions would be to maybe have an option for people to deactivate the whale if they want to? Because for me, I definitely don’t want the whale. I go to do something— like eat dinner— and I come back and the whale has basically done all the work for me, again, defeating the purpose of the entire game as a focusing app. Another thing is the wait times. Why do the plants nap? You should be trying to waste all of your raindrops on your plants at one time so that you can actually focus to get more— the napping gets in the way of spending your raindrops, again, defeating the purpose. Maybe the player should be able to deactivate that as well?

I love FocusPlant so much because it motivates me to sit down and do the things that I've been wanting to do but don't really have a reason to do it for get done. FocusPlant also allows you to play with others and plant a garden together. Once you focus for a certain amount of time the game gives you water to plant and grow flowers and other plants. You can discover new plants that the game designers made up, which are fun and creative. This game is not just for younger kids it's for any age group and is appropriate for girls and guys.
As much as I love this there is one thing that I wish they had done. I love other apps I've seen that plant trees when you grow a certain amount of plants in the game. I wish that they did that for FocusPlant. Other than that I am in love with this game.

Changing my previous review because I didn’t realize you needed to make some small progress before unlocking the “strict” mode that actually punishes you for using other apps (which is what I wanted). FocusPlant is so well made and truly has enough of a fleshed out world to get you to want to focus and stay off the phone to build up your plant collection.

Small suggestion would be that the whale bonus is a bit too much and makes your own efforts feel redundant, would lessen that if possible.

I am so mad. I have been playing this game for years and finally decided to get a subscription, as well as purchase the holiday package (which didn’t seem to do what it said anyway).

I have been buying a lot of vouchers in the game’s shop to level up my character cards and lower raindrop need. Specifically, I put a lot of effort into leveling up Santasaur because it reduces raindrop need for watering plants by 2% each time. Or so I thought, until all of a sudden I leveled it up to level 21 and it only decreased 0.5%. Why??? This is so not okay. Do you have any idea how many vouchers it cost me to level it up??? Nowhere did it ever say this was going to happen.

I canceled my subscription. I feel scammed and I want my vouchers back.

I love FocusPlant so far! It's definitely helped me stay off my phone while I study. It's so much fun to collect the raindrops and use them for so many different types of plants! Rainy the Whale is such a cutie, he follows you wherever you go! Plus, you can control your BGM settings and gain other fabulous prizes in chests by using sunshine, the in-game currency. Having a goal for the game like "I want to max level that land's plants today" helps motivate you to set your phone on focus mode. Definitely a great app, and I've already recommended it to my friends!

I wanted a simple app that would make sure I use all my time on studying. I was tired of making to-do lists from scratch and just not getting it done. I decided to try this out because the ratings on FocusPlant were extremely positive. It’s certainly engaging and a lot of features are available. The pomodoro mode is great when you need to study for a test. There are even groups you can join and work together to level up. Highly recommended! I cannot wait till multiplayer mode comes out. 😁

I love FocusPlant so much. ive recommended it to friends and it has really helped me stay mindful about how often i look at my phone. however i’m SO upset about the evolutionary process of the plants. i spent days evolving one of my plants and expected it to look much different and have a really neat change. and it literally grew three flowers. i spent THOUSANDS of raindrops. and time. all for it to grow a few flowers. i was so disappointed. i will keep using it but i probably won’t bother using the nursery anymore. very sad

9/1 “I’m not sure what objecting napping has. It slows down my usage of raindrops, resulting in me collecting large number of raindrops I can only use every so often. Otherwise, the graphics, concept, everything is great. The napping is however annoying, and discourages me from collecting more raindrops.”

9/4 update, i’ve gotten to a point where the plants require lots of rain drops anyways, the napping keeps me from getting addicted to this game in a bad way. i’m looking forward to future updates

I waited to write this review until after the latest update. While FocusPlant does just about all you’d expect from such a tool the reason I gave it this score is because the changes it described in its update offering alerts with an option for just vibration or just ringer or both don’t work. I’ve attempted multiple times and there’s no change at all. Your time finishes without you being aware unless you’ve got your phone unlocked with FocusPlant clearly visible (kinda defeats the whole - don’t focus on your phone goal). If they can fix this I’d be happy to improve the score because otherwise it really is a cute fun little focus app.

Awesome! It helps me focus, and entertained! Before FocusPlant, I used to use my iPad all the time, but now, I cut it down to only a few hours! Oh, and what is the stage three plant for? I can only reach stage 2. Is it coming up? I hope so! But thank you for FocusPlant ! Also, I noticed a language glitch, like sometimes you change it to another language and back, there would be a part of the game that is the previous language. Hope you’ll fix it!

I use FocusPlant almost every day, and it’s wonderful for making you focus on readings for a few hours instead of picking up your phone every few minutes. You can even set a certain amount of times you want to work with breaks in between! I’ve worked up to four hours at a time. That being said, there are so many freaking ads now!!! Every time I look at the screen there’s an ad on it instead of FocusPlant . I get so frustrated wasting time staring at the ad because I don’t want the timer to be stuck underneath it and not go off. Please god, less ads!

This game keeps making me WANT to get more plants, and the only way to do that is to put the phone down and focus for as long as possible... so I do. It’s a double whammy, because I get work done/put down my phone AND I get a bunch of raindrops to water my plants with. Plus the plants are so freakin cute. The game also gives you just enough raindrops and sunshine for you to enjoy the game without using real money if you want, and I appreciate that.

I have ADHD so it’s really hard for me to focus. During my 10th grade year I had to do online and it really affected my concentration and focus until I found FocusPlant. At first I thought FocusPlant wasn’t going to help me and I was gonna fall out of it, but I actually stayed hooked onto it. I had so much fun collecting rain drops and discovering what types of plants I could get. I love being rewarded with something that I put effort into

I love this little game. I thought I’d download it and delete it like every other iPhone game but I ended up watering my plants and doing a focus cycle at least every night before bed. Sometimes I remember to do a cycle while I’m at work or if I read a book during the day. The idea is cool but I really use it for just idle time. I do wish they’d make it to where you can have an overnight focus session. I know it’s in the works but I wish it would hurry. 3 hours doesn’t give me enough water!

I really enjoy FocusPlant . I use the pomodoro method and FocusPlant really motivates me to keep on track with it. The game design is aesthetically pleasing and I love unlocking new gardeners and plants. Getting rain drops is so satisfying. Ads are not compulsory, but I enjoy watching them to get rewards and help the company (even if I am not giving money directly). I've been searching for the perfect study app and found this one. Thanks for such a gift of an app!

FocusPlant is so good at making me not use my phone when I need to study! I love it , it’s a really cute way for me not to procrastinate. I would give it 5 stars but the weekly summary is not accurate it’s recording the day I focus on the previous day rather then current? I noticed the days are off but I’m thinking it has something to do with geographics idk, just hope they fix that on next update. 🙇🏻‍♀️💓

I’ve only had this for a little, but I can already see how much it can help me. I love the music, and the game helps me not so much as pick up my phone while in effect, freeing me up to do the things I want and need to do instead: schoolwork and work and creating and projects.
Seriously, thank you for creating FocusPlant, it is excellent.

This game is so cute and gives me motivation to focus on studying and step away from my phone, but it also makes me want to spend more time on my phone because I want to continue unlocking items and whatnot. It has allowed me to stay off my phone when studying, but is somewhat a two steps forward, one step back sort of thing. Would still recommend, with a disclaimer.

This is a step in the right direction to help those who want to stay focused but the thing the bugs the hell out of me is that the fact that I can’t leave FocusPlant unattended. By that I mean if I let my phone lock up and not notice within 20 seconds, it will automatically kick me out. Isn’t the point of FocusPlant to focus on something else? I don’t like the fact I have to worry whether I have to keep my attention on FocusPlant at all times when using it.

I really love FocusPlant already and I've only been using it for two days. It really helps, though I have a couple things that'll make it even better and help me more.

1: Add a pause button for the timer.
Sure the whole point is to STAY focused, but what if we have to get up to do something? The water we get won't count. Life happens, especially during coronatime.

2: Add a stop watch(?) option instead of just a timer.
If you exceed your focus time, what if you forget to check your phone but you're still working? You would have done all that extra work just for it not to count at all.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BECAUSE WE PROCRASTINATORS NEED IT

It’s the cutest focus app BY FAR. It’s interface actually has some time and design put into it, I prefer to use my own music when I study so I don’t mind that it has the standard ticking or silence. The system is rewarding and has many little game elements that make it worthwhile. I can’t wait for the options to include friends!

FocusPlant seemed to work great- until my plants started napping. I really love the concept of unlocking or upgrading a different plant as a reward for staying focused, but the napping after every level up just takes away your ability to do that... it’s sad.

I also noticed that the font is ridiculously small. For these two reasons (napping and no way to make the font bigger), FocusPlant just doesn’t work for me.

Why do I need to click water 50 times to level up one plant one level? If I have enough rain there should be an instant upgrade button. How is it a productivity app if it takes me five mins just to fully upgrade one plant. Please fix this.
