After a fruitless, wasted hour of trying to 1) renew a prescription and failing that 2) send a message to my doctor directly about renewing said medication, I have noted several glitches that currently make BannerHealth (and the old one, too) unusable.
The first field in each case is required: who I’m contacting. However, after I type two characters as suggested, my doctor isn’t listed. If I try to type the first name and a space so I can enter the last name, oops, BannerHealth won’t let me put in a space! Major fail from the beginning of the form. Giving up on getting my meds renewed, I tried to message my doctor directly. Surprise! I can’t put in a space or get BannerHealth to suggest my doctor over here, either.
The last time I used the old app, these functions worked like a charm. Now neither app works. What happened? Please fix these glitches so I can use the new app and get a good outcome. Thank you.

I’ve never had much luck with any of Banner’s online services, but this one is the worst. After waiting for test results and calling the clinic to get them because I never got a call, I was referred yet again to the patient portal in the future, this portal can’t even recover my medical records. Even worse, I had one for my daughter but BannerHealth couldn’t understand me using two and would never let me access hers, it would just sign me into mine no matter what I did (even though the passwords were different!)
Please Fix MyBanner!!! Horrible!

Please either FIX the MyBanner portion of BannerHealth or bring back the old app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted, etc. to try to fix the problem and it still takes almost a minute to logon, once logged in BannerHealth is SO slow! I click on whatever selection I need and it takes forever to load (IF it loads at all). Because you have to click on multiple items to get to the selection needed, what used to take two minutes takes 15-25 minutes!!! Somethings NEVER load or BannerHealth times out, so now I have resorted to replying to my last message to the appropriate provider to contact them and requesting a call back. I have not used any of the other features as they were all available on the Banner website. Fix please!!!! Providers are no longer available via phone and now BannerHealth is useless! Dissatisfied

Banner has at least THREE different sites and you are never sure which one you are on. Yet they always take me back to the same ONE place- my medical chart log in. Which it will NOT let me log in to. Have been a patient since it was University Medical and each year since Banner has taken over the software has gotten worse. Currently wait for a ONE hour call back from tech support to try and clear again for now SIXTH time.
There are issues with a delay in logging in with saved info. An error message will sometimes appear. Or there’s a spinning wheel. The new messages alert is passive in BannerHealth , and the email notification stating a new message has a 1-2 hour delay. This is unacceptable when quick access is needed to the most recent health updates and accessing test results.
Poorly designed, difficult to use for some features

Between BannerHealth and the data available to it, this can be a difficult way to get information. My experience in the computer field tells me this was written around the data instead of what a user might want to do. In my case, I wanted test results, but finding those is not straight forward, in fact, I’ve gotten to pages that I cannot find again and pages that link to themselves, which is lazy programming.
Medical history is incomplete, with 11 year gaps in data, as if random bits of information is being reported.
These apps should be written from the perspective of what the user does most frequently without having to drill down through a hierarchy that makes sense to the programmer but not to a layperson.

When messaging my provider the search is impossible. After sending the message, it doesn’t show up as having been sent. It difficult to find test results (labs, imaging, office notes...). On another topic. Based on Banner insurance, I have been forced to switch to (based on cost prohibitive rates staying with my regular pharmacy) Banner pharmacy, which does not communicate with the Banner app. Getting to my point, Banner Pharmacy should be linked so I could get notifications, texts stating my RX was ready and what my copay would be. If you need an example see the Safeway app. Hopefully Banners can get things fixed ASAP.
The app does not turn to Landscape mode in iPad

Seriously, the developers just ported the iPhone portrait app without allowing for BannerHealth to turn to landscape for the iPad. I use the 12.9 iPad Pro, and it’s very unwieldy to use in portrait. BannerHealth should turn. I had planned to use the iPad for my eVisit, but with BannerHealth only in portrait, the wide angle front camera makes using a 12.9 iPad unpractical.
Please, please make some improvements for the iPad app so that it’s friendlier to use on tablets!

Compared to the Mayo app, BannerHealth was created and is run on the most basic level. It is terrible to navigate. Although it should pull up my account information immediately, it is a constant struggle to get it to work at all. Instead of recognizing my fingerprints, I need to log in each time. Then wait. I constantly have to click accessibility view then go down a rabbit hole of clicking various areas to finally end up seeing my appointments. There should be a patient menu at the top but apparently that was forgotten. If I click enough screens, sometimes I can locate a proper menu but most the time it’s just super frustrating. It’s way easier to make a phone call than to use BannerHealth.
Everyone dr has a different portal they want you to sign up for. It is double hard if you have to use the portal for a minor. The proxy form is hidden in BannerHealth and not easy to find. Only a email help is offered in BannerHealth . Had to google a help phone number get transferred, hold for over an hour and then call again yell at someone that I was still hold on the other line of who they transferred me to. They were kind enough to help me know what to do an expect. Still don’t have a phone number for if I have any more trouble with your app.
Navigation Problems

When looking at lab results if one selects Learn More About This there is no way to get back to lab results. Selecting HOME can take you back to the home screen but if one selects Access Your Health Records again, the result is always a menu for the Learn More About This screen (powered by STAYWELL). The only way to get back to lab results is to close the application and start it again. Not a good way to get back to results at all. Poor design, or at least poor testing.
Registration email link fails with VPN

Update: the registration link is apparently good, but the registration server won’t talk to my VPN service – I gad to shut didn’t my VPN connection to complete the registration. So much for trying to keep my device safe. —- So sad… looks like it could be a great app. But after attempting to register, I received the confirmation email and clicked the link, only to get a “server can’t be found” error. I can’t do anything that requires a login if it won’t allow me to complete the registration process!

Keep trying to sign in to My Banner portion of BannerHealth . The circle keeps spinning & spinning, never signing me in. What’s happened to BannerHealth??
Thank you for informing me that you’ve worked on the issue. I just tried it on iPhone & it worked. Hopefully, it’ll work on my iPad as well. Haven’t tried that yet.

I love BannerHealth! I’ve been avoiding getting set up with a provider since my insurance changed. I went on BannerHealth after work, browsed thru doctors in my neighborhood and scheduled an appointment that fit my schedule. After the appointment my medical record was updated. Love the Nurse On Call function as well. I’ve used that in the past. Thanks for making it super easy Banner!

Very clean UI and no bugs noticed for a version 1.0 app. Nice job! Really liked the capabilities around finding urgent care locations. Being able to remotely hold a spot in line is really cool! Also, thanks for including doctor ratings. Looking forward to additional capabilities being added.

App looks and feels really clean. No weird glitches or freezes when transitioning from one page to the other. Overall well developed and excited for its future.
It’s great except l want to pay my bill but don’t have it and therefore, don’t have my account number. So I can’t pay. Not happy about that feature.

I am on IOS and can not print when I view documents. There is no icon in the corner to print. Then I click to another section at bottom and go back to document and it’s there then crashes. Maybe someone can look at that part and fix it.

The thing says you can send Attachments when contacting Provider. Wrong! You cannot! It does not work. At all. Banner needs to wake up its IT crew and make them do some work. As in, if there is going to be an App, well, let’s make it work properly. How about some of that? That would be refreshing.

I’ve been trying to find a way to message my child provider and have been unsuccessful for months. It is very inconvenient at times when I need to ask for some help, instead I have to try and remember to call the office.

Once you log in and BannerHealth times out, if you don’t want to have to enter username/password, you need to kill/exit BannerHealth because you cannot get back to logging in using Face ID again.
Would be better to have online appt instead of just showing a phone number to call.

I downloaded BannerHealth thinking I would track down an urgent care location for my kid, then noticed the Nurse on Call feature. I tried calling that line first and had a fantastic experience over the phone with a nurse who talked me through my child’s symptoms and suggested I don’t need to take him to a clinic for now. Saved me a visit to the dr and offered me peace of mind!
