Saved us from hurricane Ida

My allowance was $75 but we lost food through the storm and it was a blessing you gave additional $75 to help us, just know that we went 29 days in a horrible way no water, electricity , car, or phone but we had a electrical cord for a fridge and fan, your extra funds were well used and needed for us and to pay forward a meal daily with generous neighbors who like us in devastation with a way to get food and a electric cord in 119 degree weather. Useless to scan items in store !! I’ve 2 yrs !

HealthyBenefitsPlus is supposed to help us scan items in stores to see if the products are approved. I’ve had HealthyBenefitsPlus over two years and it still doesn’t work as intended to check items so we don’t have to scan everything at the register smh 🤦‍♀️ and then find out it’s not approved. So when will your app ever work correctly? What is wrong with your system that it doesn’t line up with cash registers in stores? Also it lies when you scan an item it will say not approved but the store cash register approves it 😂I’m probably just going to delete it from my phone coz it’s useless and they’ve had two years to fix it 😳 . I’m just being honest not mean and this is facts 💯💯💯 not worth using HealthyBenefitsPlus just go online and get your balance from UHC instead or call to order stuff through UHC they’ll ship it free! And you can buy just one item over the phone and they ship it with no charge to ship it to your home! And I’m glad the store register approved my items when HealthyBenefitsPlus didn’t! Quite useless

You can go into Walmart and scan something and it says it’s part of the plan. I’ve spent several hours in Walmart picking up items to see if they were part of the plan.
But when you get to the check out most of the items are not on the plan. And the cashier said she can’t take it off because she doesn’t know which ones aren’t part of the plan. So you end up paying out of pocket for items that shows as part of the plan.
I spent $89 from items suppose to be part of the plan and then I ended up paying $52 in cash. I would not have taken the items that were not covered through the register but she could not tell me which ones weren’t. She said it’s a common thing with this card, is very troubling and a lot of people get upset. I can see why.
I’ve always ordered through the catalog until is offered little of what I needed and I HAD to go to the store.
I would prefer having the products that we had in the past year. Or if they were at H-E-B to the list of stores to get items from. It’s more of a hassle than a help.
Fix the problem so when people go to the store the items that show covered are covered.
When I called in explaining what happened the Lady told me Walmart could charge whatever they wanted. And if they didn’t cover some of the items then they couldn’t do anything about it. That Walmart could change what they wanted and when they wanted.
This card is a nuisance instead of a help

Does not support on iPad

I liked it when it was introduced many many months ago when you are able to sign in and browse thru what you need without having to go right over to the Walmart site . Each time I wanted something where before you are able to view the price , it goes right over to Walmart once again and then have to go back to the HB and it's a bit annoying going back and forth . Another thing I look at the catalog and it's about $1.00 cheaper then Walmart . It went up in price without notice . A new catalog should be reissued and if one see it in the catalog it should be given for that price and still to many items are not in stock since the last time I have purchased and other categories there are nothing in it. It would be nice to add more items to ALL categories or substitute it .
The original setting should of been left alone, it was way more convenient.

Good app but....

HealthyBenefitsPlus is fine. In some respects it’s very user friendly but the program itself has some issues. It’s great to be able to order $100 worth of products 4 times a year but how do Walmart or the insurance companies make money off of it. I ordered 6 items and they were delivered 1 at a time over a 6 day period. Actually 1 of the items still hasn’t been delivered. I ordered them all 5 weeks ago. Because of that delay I was told I will receive a $10 gift card. So there is that expense plus all the individual shipping costs. I don’t see why they couldn’t have all been shipped together. Or why couldn’t I have gotten a receipt and then picked the items up at my local Walmart? I’m not complaining, like I said it’s a great savings for seniors, I’m just afraid someone’s going to say hey, we’re loosing money here and cancel it

Why won’t it save login info anymore?

I appreciate HealthyBenefitsPlus very much, and when I first got it, it saved the login information which was handy when I was in Walmart and needed to see if something was covered. It’s been about a year and every time I see an update, I hope it’s one of the changes made, but it’s not. If you don’t want people to stay logged in on HealthyBenefitsPlus , at least make it accessible via the biometric log in using a fingerprint like bank apps utilize, or just ask for the password and save the email address.

Also one question, this happens with multiple products, but if they aren’t covered, why do you have them in the catalog? Example: Polygrip denture cream, it is in the product list on HealthyBenefitsPlus , but will not cover it when I go to check out.

Fixing these two things would raise my stars from 3 to 5.

Really??

Just got on the UHC program and was excited about getting some otc products with Health Care Plus. looked through the catalog(not as excited as many of the products I use weren’t there). But, I made a list, tried it on-line(now I’m even less than excited as some of my order wasn’t available) so, I said ‘what the hell, I’ll just call in my order’. My list of seven items were reduced down to one that was available for shipping, a $4.97 package of bandages ended up costing almost $12! WTH?someone is making money off this scheme! Evidently I can go to Walmart and pick up the items but that’s a 40 mile drive, what about people that aren’t able to drive? Just needed to vent. I hope that the UHC program that it’s affiliated with is more functional!

Yeah this whole program is great there’s just one problem you go shopping for the stuff on the Walmart app how do you know which is covered by Healthy Benefits plus ?or not I went by the little gift package being beside the amount that it would cost but that didn’t work -it still came up that I would have to pay half of what I ordered. Cash money!! Then I went into the store and I don’t well this will be easier because they had two or three items and they had Healthy Benefits underneath but nobody knew anything in there they were clueless well I got a few things and then I didn’t know how to bring it up so needless to say I need more information thank you

Where did my order go?

This is my second comment. With out being able to get my NON FOOD items in store because it only accepts food and feeling about ready to give up I decided trying again ordering my non food items on line. I pick out everything and check out and it says order sent. I even took a screenshot of my purchases and my total and remaining credit. For 2 days I don't get any email talking about my order. I check on HealthyBenefitsPlus to look at purchase history and to my dismay all my credit money amount is back at the amount before I ordered anything. So I get my money back but no order. Just like I didn't order anything. So now I can't get things in the store and I can't get anything online. This is the biggest joke there ever was. What happened to my order??? What a horrible thing to put seniors through.

Trouble today

Is there a reset button? I couldn’t use HealthyBenefitsPlus today which surprised me since I didn’t have any problems previously. Nothing worked today but I was able to access my account on my desktop computer. What do you suggest?

I’m updating my original review. When the developer asked for more information I wasn’t able to replicate the problem. HealthyBenefitsPlus seems to be working fine today. Was I like the ability to scan products in the store to see if the are eligible. I would give it 5 stars but for the experience when it seemed frozen. It’s handy but not something I’ll use every week; only when I’m shopping for an OTC product.

HealthyBenefitsPlus is great! Not a problem with it you can choose from cvs or Walmart! I like Walmart for what I need it solves all my needs? Although I will say this is that whatever your Otc amount is you should be able to choose any brand you want too not the select brands they give you? But then again it’s on the government’s dime so we can’t really complain? If we don’t like what we get then we can go else where right? Free is free right? Healthy Benefits has been good to me!

Problems

I gave the program 3 stars because it is a good program but HealthyBenefitsPlus needs work. I lose most of my benefits each month because of HealthyBenefitsPlus not working correctly. I haven't tried the card in the store because HealthyBenefitsPlus is more convenient well it would be if it worked. Every time I try to make an order I get a message saying that my cart was recently updated and confirm my products. I'm not sure what it wants me to check because the items in my cart are the ones I want. This isn't the only problem with HealthyBenefitsPlus but hopefully if this one gets worked out the other problems will too.

Very Frustrating App

I do not do my own shopping. I have to make a list of my items. HealthyBenefitsPlus only scans actual bar codes! What if I’m not in a store to scan a barcode! I need to be able to enter the UPC number to see if an item is eligible! Right now I have to find the item of food I want, do a google search for the barcode on my computer then use HealthyBenefitsPlus on my phone to scan the barcode on my computer! Today I’m at a loss, I can’t find a barcode for 2 items only the UPC! I have called Humana for help but they could not assist me. There is no contact information for Healthy Benefits Plus! Not good! The former company that did this program for Humana last year allowed the entry of UPC numbers!

App is ok

This is great for helping you keep track of your balance. The scan items to check if it qualifies, however, needs work. I scanned every item to see if it qualified for the benefit and all the items I put in my basket registered as qualified. Any that came up not qualified was put back on the shelf. So I finish scanning and selecting my items and go to the register get rang up to be told there is a balance due. It took 3 employees to figure out which item did not qualify for the purchase. Then once they did, the whole order had to be voided and started over. I’m not the only one this happened to. It is frustrating and leaves some people in tears.

Not very customer friendly!!!

I have ordered couple of times through HealthyBenefitsPlus (via UHC’s OTC benefits) and I must say, HealthyBenefitsPlus seems to be created by a committee. They haven’t made it easy to use as one has to struggle before they can get over many nuisances. I believe it can be improved significantly, to make it easier to place orders. An example example: if I have not entered a value in a text box, or checked a box, TELL ME WHAT I MISSED. Instead one has to stare at the same screen, waiting for it to take them to the next step. After several tries I figured out that I actually HAD to enter a mobile phone number in a box that was OPTIONAL info.

Ridiculous & Unacceptable

I get my info signed in and then the screen is frozen. This happened 7x now. A week ago I tried several times and got nowhere. Frozen screen. Deleted HealthyBenefitsPlus turned off phone and tried again -nothing, frozen screen.
Yesterday signed in and everything on screen comes on but it’s frozen.
Today I thought this will be different. Signed in and guess what -a frozen screen. Deleted HealthyBenefitsPlus and turned off phone. So I just tried yet again but there’s no satisfaction with this stupid app. What good are these benefits when they’re app is not working and useless.
So much for my anxiety today it’s been blown.

New to the program

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I have been unable to see what any of my benefits are because HealthyBenefitsPlus will shut down and my home page pops back up. This is my first time to use this program and I am very thankful. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or what, each time I log into HealthyBenefitsPlus, it will shut down every time I attempt to see what types of food I get a discount on. Any suggestions?

Ap is fine but am confused.

The book has ID numbers for each item but none on line. How can one order from both? Or is it all one or the other? I have Used many of your products but not always in the strength you have listed. ie. my PC rec., I take 1000 mg of Omega 3. The one I ordered only had 360 mg. Of Omega 3. The rest of the 1200 was other acids. Either I take 3 a day or go to your store and buy the one I have been using (1000 omega3 and nothing else) Why can’t I use this credit in one of your stores. I can’t take epinephrine, but the cough med. u sent was DM. Can’t use it. Not making my life easy.

Not very helpful

There should be more product details provided as well as the price and close up photos if you click on each item. Many items do not even have an actual product image photo to clue you in as to what you are supposed to be looking for if you prefer to shop inside a store. I feel HealthyBenefitsPlus development team was very incomplete and didn’t even provide the bare minimum. I hope the next release addresses not only my concerns but those of others.

Limiting items listed

We have found that other items then what are listed are covered and we also found that some of the items listed are not covered at checkout. HealthyBenefitsPlus . Is easy to use but is limited to listed items available through the program.

While the account balance feature, the store locator and the Membership Barcode are handy, The online shopping feature is totally useless. The eligible items lack a url connecting them to the item on the Walmart website. So you end up having to search for each item at Walmart and the descriptions from HealthyBenefitsPlus often don’t match up well with the items at Walmart. App freezes up during setup at the location services step on iPad mini 4, running ios 12.x

First day on Medicare & OTC a big disappointment

I went on-line last week to view available products & went to Walmart to test. I saw name brand Alleve on-line & decided to use my OTC card w no luck. No size, no nothing.
Is this meant as a kind of wack-a-mole. Just bring a bunch of stuff to to the counter just to be rejected & frustrated.
So clerk told me to get HealthyBenefitsPlus .
I can see by the reviews that this is not a better option.
And the government wants to run everyone’s healthcare?

All this ‘app’ does is show you some pics of the items you’re eligible for. I say some because there are items where the image is not available at all. There is no functionality to buy directly from HealthyBenefitsPlus ! This is ridiculous in this day and age! Who has the time to decode the abbreviated descriptions in HealthyBenefitsPlus and compare them to the actual product sold on the retailer website or in the store?

Total Junk

Scan items in the stores tells you items are OTC eligible. When you get to the register most are not, this program and benefit is total junk. I have been calling since January to get issues fixed they promise next week. But fixes never comes. If I could rate it negative stars I would. Worst benefit bring back last years OTC program it worked and at more stores then just Walmart.

The stores disappeared. The categories disappear. The products disappear. You can’t order from it .. not if everything disappears. A great program IF it worked?? I was using the app. The app stopped working because it did not show my benefits and I could not pay my utilities. I had to call to make a payment. Then I get a late fee from the utility company because the payment didn't go through but I did not know it. I'm still trying to pay the same bill on January 1st and I have until the 7th before my utility money runs out. Of course the app is not working the web page is not working and customer service can't help me. Although I very much appreciate a blessing of money for utilities and food but what good is it if it never works. I have been having a problem with this for over a month and a half. This is very frustrating! I really can't afford to pay my utilities at this time and really need these benefits to work.

Can only buy protein as canned meat that are not only unhealthy but do not agree with Asians who prefer viand of a small portion of meat accompanied by vegetables. Why can't any meat (chicken, pork or beef) be bought with the food credit? Can't survive on cereals, nuts, dried fruits which Caucasians can. Or use benefits for purely pharmaceutical products.

I was shortchanged on a online order from my UHC OTC. It has been 3 weeks and 3 phone calls and no resolution. It seems like United Healthcare has handed their OTC program over to a scam company. It was much better last year. I hope UHC does something about it soon before the government takes action. I have already filed a complaint with Medicare. I may need to start looking for a new Medicare Advantage company.

2.23.22 My Medicare provider started with Healthy Benefits this year. My first order arrived yesterday with a $65 Crane ultra sonic humidifier missing! The packing slip lists it as included with this order. Is this company a rip-off? I'm trying to contact customer service to get the humidifier sent ASAP or the $65 payment refunded to my Healthy Benefits account.

My experience with Healthy Benefits Plus: Frustrating. Humiliating. Waste of my time and energy. Received a HB+ card in 2022 and used it successfully for three months, for in-store Walmart purchases. Then in December United Health Care sent a notice telling me about an "increase in benefits" but at the same time DE-ACTIVATED my card. Told me in this notice to expect a new card with a new number in "three to four weeks" (telling me to wait until February 2023 for a valid card!!!) Customer service person provided the "new number" and told me to install the App for "in store purchases". I installed the "app" to use in the store but it absolutely WOULD NOT WORK. Wal-mart clerks tried multiple times. The so-called "phone App" would not work. Customer service person told me to call their "tech department". After multiple rounds of "hold music" I gave up because no tech person ever responded. Next customer service person told me to "expect a new card" in "7 to 10 days" which meant that I should have had this mythical "card" by January 7th, 2023. By January 7th, 2023: NO CARD. Received no assistance with non-working APP. Was told again to "expect a new card in 7 to 10 days. By January 27th...Still no card> Benefits for January have come and gone. Have EXPIRED because "APP" was useless and card was never sent. Some group of people somewhere is making money with this so-called "Healthy Benefits Plus" program. These customer service people are being paid. Mostly they just tell lies, to get the customer to go away. Some kind of tech department is there in the background, though I have never reached anyone there. For the health insurance customer who has been talked into this...it's a waste of time. Experiences with "customer service" people are nothing but humiliating and stressful. Customer service persons lie about "cards" and they just do nothing about non-working apps. This is some kind of scam or fraud. It's money maker somewhere. Does NOTHING for the holder of the "card" SCAM. STAY AWAY.

If this hadn't been offered to me by my insurance plan I would honestly think that this was some sort of an internet scam. The app is pretty much useless. Anytime I want to shop online it only allows me to go to walmart.com. the information I received with the card says that it is good for supplements personal care items etc. So far it has not worked for anything that it said it would. I tried to use it at the store yesterday for items that said they were approved when scanned but turned out not to be when I got to the checkout counter. I'm not sure why they even bothered offering this because it is less than useful and most likely very mentally detrimental to many of the seniors that have to try and use this thing. Basically this plan is a joke!

Casey stayed with me throughout the call including multiple transfers to different departments in order to get all the clarifications related to insurance as well as OTC credit card information. I have never had a problem with getting what I need with my United card. Amerigroup was horrible but United is fantastic. I go to Walmart, Walgreens and Kroger no issues. I haven’t ordered on line or by phone or mail for over a year because it took months to arrive.

Walmart delivers 1 thing at a time or not at all. They never give me tracking number that actually works, so don't know when it's to be delivered. Sometea they leave the box in the lobby of my apartment complex unattended

A person in the state of Texas that was two years six months behind emancipation. so I'm not surprised of the problems of racism in health Care. Everyone that was forced in this program unwillingly is not receiving the same amount in allowance. It seems to be a continuation of poor discission making by demonic entities. There's items in the catalog that are well over the allowance amount I receive!?, And when I inquired about it the response was so topical in the state of Texas.

Several attempts to order products listed as eligible. Issues between UHC HB+ card and W-Mart.com!! I have revised this month's order several times to try to get the items I need. Example: I had a full month's credit available to me- no previous orders/ purchases in the current month. W-Mart.com online displayed only about half of my credits available- the other half' was applied'... what?? no order placed nor shown on w-m.com. Eligible items were not being charged to my hb+ card. Walmart kept wanting to charge bank card instead- even when i eliminated non-food items! No matter how many items I eliminated, w-mart kept wanting to charge me 1/3 of the total order amount to my bank card. Unacceptable. "Healthy"?? One label of vitamins- supplements has several options on the hb+ listings that are covered. However, the sugar-free version is covered - sometimes and then it is not. This is not a healthy option for diabetics- nor fair. Appears to be no rhyme nor reason to all of this.

Why can’t I see my order and track it? I do not receive half my items that I’m charged for but have no way of proving it. Very convenient for Walmart and UHC to cheat people! Shameful and aggravation enough to give us senior citizens and disabled heart attacks snd strokes! And this is suppose to be a health care service? Horrible!

I go to healthy benefits and from there to the Walmart website of authorized items. I have tried 4 times and 75% of what is supposedly authorized is not. I have a credit card number listed with them, as to pay for any amount over the 75.00 allowed and everytime, they want to charge my credit card for most of the purchases even though I'm shopping under the listed authorized items. So I remove all items, as this is not the way it is suppose to work. What a waste of time AND benefit. Someone is thinking this is just a freeby and we should all just take whatever we can get, is what I am beginning to think of this how thing.

Tried ordering at Walmart. They charged my CC an didn’t give me the option of using HB card I removed my credit card from their site an now they won’t allow me access without it . I also tried to place an order w/ Walmart and they insisted on linking my card to Healthy Benefits. Ordered elsewhere . I’m finished with them.

Solutran is a SCAM. Some days products are approved and covered under the benefit and some days they are not. I guess keep trying and trying and maybe your order will be approved or maybe not!! And good f!!!ing luck trying to use this at the store, may as well load up your whole cart with everything and maybe one or two things will be approved, if any at all, even stuff on the approved list/catalog. Solutran is not just a huge joke and waste of time, they're an absolute SCAM!

My insurance was through United Health for 2021. My UHC Over the Counter benefit was with Healthy Benefits Plus. I entered my 4th qtr order on the UHC site. The order was transferred to Walmart by Healthy Benefits. Six of seven line items were delivered. When I called to find out why my other item was not delivered, I was told that it was not in stock and was removed from the order. I was never notified that this happened. Now I am being told that the value of the item was returned to UHC so NO PROBLEM. The problem is that I am not UHC, so I lost the value of that item in my benefits because it is past the 4th qtr period for ordering. Now no one will take responsibility for resolving the problem. UHC, Healthy Benefits, and Walmart, all say that it is someone elses fault. when I ask to talk to a superior at Healthy Benefits, I was told that she did not report to anyone, so she would not provide me with a tele number to try to resolve my problem. Avoid doing business with this company!!!!!!!

I received the Healthy Benefits Plus card (food) in the mail in 2020 and it wasn't until August 2021 that I began using it. I never received the packet along with the card so I had to check the website to see what types of food I could buy with it. Walgreens price labels has at the top "OTC APPROVED" to let you know what you can purchace, CVS too. Walmart Neighborhood stores do not have their labels marked. The site tells you that if your food purchase exceeds the amount on the card you have to pay the remaining amount. Both August and September I had credit on the card but several times the card declined purchases of food that was clearly approved and food I had bought before using the card. I only get $39 from food assistance through my home state so this extra $25 I get from this food program really helps a lot. There needs to be more improvements on how the card systems work. People like myself who are on disability like to have a clear understanding of how the benefits work so they can plan ahead before going to store to pick up items they need. Some people may have to have someone drive them or assist them when running errands so having to fuss with a program card that changes the rules on what is approved products & how much credits they have is the last thing they need to deal with.

I finally attempted to use my Healthy Benefits card, but in CVS I picked out $275 worth of items but HB only paid for $40.00. I had to tell the clerk to put the rest back. What a joke. What a scam from Amerigroup. I also tried ordering from Walmart on line but similar problem. I picked out ONLY the items in my booklet but once again they all weren't covered so I cancelled that order too. Big waste of time. I'll just pay form my vitamins out of pocket. Don't need this aggravation.

I have not been able to use the Solutran, United Health Care, Healthy Benefits at all in 2020. From what I have been told, I have $800 dollars or more by this time, since I could not use it as of January 2020. I never recieved my new card at the beginning of the year to make any purchases. Customer Service at UHC and Solutran literally laughed at me when I would call. I was told at least 4 times a card was in the mail and that it would take 4 to 6 weeks each time. It would be great if you could use the card to purchase the ADDED BENEFITS (NOT) when out of state with my ill father who just passed away. I could not get my benefits card, nor did I ever get any benefits products. Everyone could benefit from this program right now with Covid, especially vitamins. Last years plan was awesome but not this one. I have spent hours and hours at time to try to get help from UHC and Solutran, I am done with feeling like a FOOL! It is disappointing for many lower income people who cannot afford the products and vitamins provided in the previous program. With or without the added benefits, I am scrambling to change my insurance before the deadline. I really don't care about the products anymore, just very angry and disgusted with the runaround, loss of many hours of time on the phone and the SICK GAME that they played with me. IT IS A SCAM!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

The Healthy Benifits app will not open. Immediately after the initial screen, it just disappears. Using on iPhone 11 Pro, IOS ver 13.7. Last time I used it, think iPhone had previous version of IOS.
