Poison ivy!

Generally I would have to walk into my urgent care and then wait for my turn to go in with the doctor or nurse practitioner. With Covid-19 around and the fact that my time is valuable this has proven to be a far better option. I’ve used this in the past for other concerns. I had a doctor I really liked on here who was an IU graduate. More recently as I’m married to someone who wasn’t born in the USA I have decided to try and give others a chance and send some business their way as well. Today’s visit seemed to go well. The gentleman was kind of hard to understand, but I’m used to those with an Asian accent and I believe he was from somewhere else. He did after I said what was generally provided to get rid of the poison advise me he had included that and would send me a list of instructions. All I could honestly understand was a cream of some sort.... I have used those otc creams with no help so this was concerning. Thats why I insured I let him know that this other thing was generally what would assist it in going away and me getting some relief from the itching. The fact that he knew I must’ve had a bit of trouble and that he’d type out and send me directions and everything is great. I’m thankful for that. Quick visit and provided he did prescribe the needed meds to assist in getting rid of this I am very thankful.

No Insurance needed antibiotics

So, after researching online doctors. I ended up going with LiveHealth bc typically I spend $100 just for a consult and here it was $59 or more depending on type of issue and severity of case I assume. LiveHealthOnline lets you know due to covid 19 things are a little delayed but I didn’t mind waiting. I had to wait for 30-45 mins before connecting with the doctor but it lets you know how many people are ahead of you once you select a doctor. I had 1 ahead of me, so wait time not too bad. I like that it gave options on different doctors I just picked a family doctor Dr. Rayner.

She looked tired but was really nice and very professional. LiveHealthOnline itself was easy enough to figure out. I asked about how long before prescription would be ready and she said right away unless system has issues then she would have to call it in and that could take 30+ mins bc she also had other clients. I said no problem, contacted the pharmacy 10 mins afterwards and it was already being processed. Overall I say it’s well worth it for simple issues, I can’t speak about more severe cases. Less than $100 in all 👍

Great unless you have a prescription

I have an ear infection and was initially really satisfied with the service. Signing up, choosing a doctor, and getting through the visit was great. However the doctor sent my antibiotic to the wrong pharmacy in a totally different state. I called the customer service line and waited for over an hour, but the representative was helpful and said he called and left a voicemail at my pharmacy for the prescription. Well apparently that still didn’t work and the pharmacy never received the information. I tried to call the customer service line again, waited on hold another 75 minutes, but there was still another 86 minute wait. I decided to hang up and try again tomorrow. Once the visit is over, LiveHealthOnline gives you no other way to follow up or fix an issue without calling the customer service line. There really needs to be a better way to follow up on prescriptions or request it be resent without having to go through a phone call. Most of my doctor’s offices have a mailbox feature so that you can inbox issues like this and a MA can go through and help resolve them. I have no idea what they’re going to charge my insurance for this telemedicine visit, but I’m sure it’s going to be a ridiculous amount for speaking with the doctor for 3 minutes and having to be on hold/talking to customer service reps for 4+ hours.

Technical issues spiral

Several appointments we lost signal and had to continue the appointment over the phone. At least two times the phone connection did not work so the visit was just cut off completely. Paid missed visit fees of $40 multiple times when the visit was missed due to technical issues from LiveHealthOnline . My therapist ended up leaving for a different job. I set up a new patient appointment with a different therapist. Had more technical issues when trying to log into my visit with the new therapist. After a few minutes the new therapist ends the visit stating that I need to follow up with the original therapist. The one that just quit. Now I know that therapists are not going to keep track of each other especially if they are working virtually and don’t know each other, but common sense would say that if I’m making a new patient appointment with a therapist I’ve never seen before, I am unable to see the therapist I used to see for some reason. Even if it is by choice. I feel like I dodged a bullet there as I don’t have any interest in receiving therapy from someone who actually thinks I didn’t make the appointment with her purposefully. VERY frustrating especially when trying to get therapy for rage issues.I would not recommend LiveHealthOnline if you truly need therapy.

Other services are better and I’m disappointed

I was forced to switch to this service due to my job changing our telemedicine provider. I use this service for mental health services because through my job there is not copay. Originally i was happy to learn that they offer same day mental health appointments, my excitement has since stopped. There are a limited supply of psychiatrists and they are always booked a month or more out. I scheduled my original appointment in February and have since been rescheduled by the Dr all the way out to the end of May and have never been seen. When I called about (2x) nothing has been done. Just “sorry about that we’ll file a complaint” and that’s it. The last service I used understood the importance of psychiatric appointments and made sure to reschedule within the same week, they don’t care. I called about another issue due to a confusing email i received. I was on the phone for an hour before a supervisor finally agreed to actually see why i got the email. Customer service is a joke and they don’t seem to care to resolve issues

The only saving grace is that i have a psychologist that i actually like. I’m going to take all of my issues to my HR department because if this is the service my company is paying for they should know that it may not be the greatest idea to renew the contract.

Future of healthcare! LOVE THIS

Best thing since sliced bread! My husband & I work for the same company & we don’t want to spend our personal time at the dr for minor medical problems. My husband called yesterday & received a Rx for his skin rash; tinea versicolor which he only needs usually 1x every other year. Today I decided to try online health to get an rx for my adult acne which begins every summer due to the environment of my career. As an inventory analyst I go from my cold office environment to the dusty, hot production floor. My pores open in the hot environment & allow dirt to enter my pores. Then my pores close up trapping dirt inside once I’m in my colder office which causes clogged pores & breakouts. The dr wrote me a short term low dose antibiotic rx (clindamycin to quickly combat the breakout then another Rx topical cream for a longer term solution. Giving this adult acne the ole one-two punch!
Great drs! Great service!! Once you’ve set up your account it is a 5-10min process!!! Each person needs their own account. Saved LiveHealthOnline to my iPhone & my husband’s iPhone. And Avoided 2 longs wait at the family dr!! This is the future of healthcare, perfect for us working class folks!

Quick Service, but not great listeners.

I first had a virtual appointment with Dr. Authrine Whyte, who cancelled on me after I waited 20 minutes to see her. Interestingly she was again available when I tried to find another physician. Next, I chose Dr. Ronald Stratton, who has two other virtual patients waiting, but quickly saw me after maybe a 5-7 minute wait. Dr. Stratton asked a few questions and came up with his diagnosis before allowing me to finish answering. As I was trying to ask him a question, he instructed me to press the “End” button. He was not rude, whatsoever, but he was dismissive and seemed rushed. I’m sure he’s seen similar symptoms so often that he knows exactly what’s going on and how to treat it, and I’m sure his methods allowed him to be able to see me so quickly, but I believe it’s important for doctors to hear patients out and be sure they’ve addressed all questions and concerns. Overall, I still got to speak with a physician and get prescriptions from the comfort of my own home and for a very reasonable price. I will absolutely be using LiveHealthOnline again, but I believe the physicians should be more considerate that they’re still working with human beings and should treat us as such.

Skip the walk in clinics

A fantastic replacement for the little things. If you’re dying of cancer or broke your arm in six places or having seizures or are really having anything serious obviously you go to the emergency room. If you have something that’s more complicated or you need specialized care, obviously you go to a regular doctor for an in person evaluation. But for everything else that comes along, that would be your typical going to a Walgreens or CVS or grocery store or walk in clinic to get checked out by a PA and then set on your way, this is the best alternative. It’s fast, convenient, and you don’t have to go out in public to do it. It’s nice when the only time you have to leave is to pick up your prescription as opposed to getting up going to an office waiting around for 30 minutes seeing somebody for 10 then leaving then waiting for your prescription to be ready for another two hours then going to get your prescription and then finally going to home and/or work. This is much much much more efficient.

Terrible diagnosis.

I called the other morning because I already knew what I had, and just wanted antibiotics because I live in a small area and all the offices around here are booked due to a small flu epidemic. I had several (about 10) pictures I took of abscesses, boils, yellow scabs, etc. that I uploaded for this “Doctor” to look over. As he’s talking to me, asking me how this all first started, asked me my temperature and whatnot, and why I thought I had Staph/MRSA. I then explained how it started, explained my fiancé just had MRSA a few months prior, explained the coming of the yellow scabs. I told him I did not currently have a temperature. He told me I could not have Staph/MRSA without having a temperature and ignored the fact my household had just gone through this, but continued to tell me what I had was a herpes outbreak. Seriously, I’m not making this up. So, I told him it was definitely not herpes, and he said to him that’s what it appears to be. He was dead set on his diagnosis and there was no changing his mind. He told me to make an appointment with a physician, and ended the chat. By the time I got into to see a real doctor, the infection had almost gone sepsis. I was given antibiotics because I currently have MRSA. Thank you idiot “doctor” for your wrong diagnosis and almost causing my infection to go sepsis. All I wanted was antibiotics.

Can’t switch between family members

The primary reason I have LiveHealthOnline is for therapy for my daughter. But because she is not the primary subscriber on my insurance I can access her appointments on LiveHealthOnline calendar. The PC version also has issues so it’s not a good alternative. It’s very frustrating that I have to email the therapist on the PC just to get messages to her (which doesn’t notify me). The therapist is great but LiveHealthOnline doesn’t for the need and makes it difficult every week to make sure the appointment is kept.
This all is only an issue when the therapist schedules the follow up herself because she schedules under my daughter’s name (which is appropriate as she is the one being seen), it is not an issue the first visit because we have used LiveHealthOnline to schedule. The issue is the ongoing treatment scheduling requires so much run around. The therapist has to open a slot for a few seconds and I have to grab the appointment right away before someone else takes it. It requires too much out of app communication. I thank the therapist for working with us on this.

Dr. Krad - A genuine lifesaver

I’m 52 years old and since I was born I have spent one night in the hospital as a patient. I’m not a “tough guy” just been fortunate until last Tuesday when I was stricken with severe abdominal pain.
Our insurance has recently and aggressively been promoting this service to relieve the Fund of unwarranted ER visits and costs. That coupled with the fact that my plans did not include an ER visit, prompted me to gave it a try. In less than five minutes I had all the information requested entered into LiveHealth, spoke with Dr. Krad and was on my way to the ER with, as Dr. Krad accurately diagnosed, a severely enlarged appendix. Who’s to say if I would have waited any longer what the outcome might have been but thanks to Dr. Krad and LiveHealth I won’t have to find out. Instead, I’m recovering from a some more than typical appendectomy but that’s on me and...... I’m recovering just the same. Will I use the service again? BET ON IT! Will I be promoting going forward? BET ON IT! Thanks Dr. Krad!!

Terrible company, unreliable, unprofessional

I’m pretty sure most of the reviews are fake because this company is horrible. So the first therapist I had canceled the appointment 2 min before our appointment, I then got another one and then all she told me was that she couldn’t help me through live health but I should join her privet practice. So then I finally found another that I liked, but then she disappeared. I tried calling their customer service but they would not help me. Key word, would not, not could not. I then found out that she’s out for a couple months. It took me weeks to figure it out. I’d expect the company would let me know and put my into contact with another provider. You also can’t email any of the providers. I tried emailing my dr through it and I’d get no response except for an automated email saying that I should contact 911 for an emergency. Looking for a provider is a horrible experience. You have to go day by day looking for someone. And they even show providers that arn’t taking new patients. I’m dropping them right now for a more expensive provider. Don’t bother with live health, they don’t even have their own customer service. They contract it out and those people do not care about you at all.

Waisted $49 on an appointment

My 8 year old son has swimmers ear and I was looking for an affordable way to get a prescription to help him. I do not have health insurance right now do I was very excited to use this service. Setting up my account and getting an appointment was quick and easy. The doctor was nice and did say he sent a prescription for ear drops to a Publix pharmacy. I had to call customer service after an hour because Publix didn’t receive the prescription. They assured me it would be resent and they would call me back in 20 minutes to let me know when it was resent. They did not call me back but I did get an email from Publix when it was ready. I was shocked to find out the ear drops he prescribed are $246!! I couldn’t afford that so I called customer service again. I let the representative know the pharmacy was closing in an hour and asked if the Doctor could prescribe something more affordable. He said he would get it worked out and call me back before the Pharmacy closed. I have not heard back and it is now 11 pm and my son is in a lot of pain. I have to keep rotating Tylenol and Motrin. I cancelled the $246 ear drops at Publix so now I have waisted $49 and have to find somewhere else to take him in the morning that can help us. I’m very disappointed.

Great Experience

Cristina Cavanaugh was professional, polite, and knowledgeable! She addressed all of my concerns about proper eating, drinking, and medications to use during breastfeeding. She was beyond thorough as to understanding how my nutritional habits could impact my milk supply and the development of my newborn. I feel so very relieved that I was able to speak to such a positive and thoughtful nutritionist online as my family has decided to self-quarantine with our national pandemic. I can’t reiterate how grateful I am to have this service provided during this crisis. I was so pleased with my appointment that I am going to schedule a follow up appointment once my son has had the procedure to fix his tongue-tied condition. I would HIGHLY recommend and endorse any breastfeeding mother to contact Cristina Cavanaugh! This session really gave me relief and optimism during a stressful period in my life when I cannot leave my home to seek out medical assistance. God bless this great company!

Waste of Time!

We waited for 7 hours...yes 7 hours, today. We started with 15 patients ahead of us and watched it countdown...and then back up all day long. Finally, we closed out LiveHealthOnline and opened it back up, and the doctor we were waiting “in line” to see was no longer available. We received no notification of any kind, we weren’t assigned to a new doctor, NOTHING. Decided to give it a second chance, this time we chose a phone call instead of video chat. After signing in (again), a screen popped up and said that we could close LiveHealthOnline , that the doctor would call when it was time for our visit... 2.5 hours later (now totaling 9.5 hours) we have been 10th in line with no movement at all. Because we chose the call option this time, we weren’t able to cancel and choose a different doctor. Good thing we checked on the status of this doc as well, bc surprise surprise, he was also offline after another long wait. I understand the Coronavirus has our doctors, nurses, and all medical staff drowning and overwhelmed, and I in no way blame them for this issue, but LiveHealthOnline needs a TON OF WORK. So, so bad and a complete waste of time.

Easy and Convenient

This was great! I needed a refill on a motion sickness patch that I use for when I go traveling. This was super convenient for me to call in, talk to a provider and get the medication refilled. Dr. Harrington was super nice and very thorough. Obviously this is a medication that is topical, I had used before, and was not restricted so it didn’t require an office appointment or any type of addition lab work or assessment. I would totally do this again—I tend to put off drs because of the hassle to schedule an appointment around work, travel to an office through traffic, park a mile from a building to walk in and wait for 30 minutes to only talk to a dr for 5 minutes. This was great as all the data from my health wearables was preloaded and I was able to discuss what I needed and why and get the script sent in! We’ll see how the pharmacy does tomorrow when I go to fill it but this service was great!

10/10 would recommend!

It’s always been so hard to find a provider that you click with. LiveHealthOnline makes it so easy to find one though. You can see a picture of the provider which helps because I can pick who I feel like would make me comfortable. I’ve tried so many different therapists because there were only a limited amount in the areas I’ve lived in, but LiveHealthOnline has opened that up so much. I’ve chosen an amazing therapist (Zelda Kitchens) who I feel very comfortable with, even from the very first second we met online. LiveHealthOnline also shows you how long they’ve been in the field, where the graduated from, and the therapists have a little bio you can read to see what they specialize in. I really like LiveHealthOnline, and I love how easy it was to find a great therapist from the comfort of my home.

Helpful

Helpful app that I’ve used a lot to avoid physically going to the doctor. The only critique I have is that I’ve had providers cancel at the last minute and I’m not as concerned about that but I have to put in my information again every single time. If a provider cancels or closes their doors then it should auto save my information and give that to the next doctor. Also, maybe doctors should have the ability to close their queues so that new people can’t join but they can finish with who has already shown up. I would love to see lactation consultants available here too.
It’s been a good service that my family and I will continue to use as we have saved a ton of time and money this way...and honestly it’s more convenient than trying to get a puking toddler to the doctors office.

Would not recommend

I recently was night swimming about a few days ago and developed a series of bug bites on my upper right thigh that also moved to my buttocks. I decided it was fleas, because I’ve been bites before, and wanted to prevent infection by visiting a physician. I decided to try LiveHealthOnline, considering the pandemic is still ongoing. I was linked with a doctor fairly quick, and within 10 minutes this doctor tried to convince me I had shingles. After I then told him I’ve had no previous experience with chicken pox, and have been vaccinated, he then said he would further access the photo and call me back. After less then 5 minutes, he called me telling me I had herpes. After arguing back and forth about how that isn’t possible and about how I’ve been tested far too recently for that to me true, he continued to tell me I was wrong and sent an anti-viral medication to my pharmacy. Upon picking up, I asked a pharmacist to consult me and take a look themselves. After barely even looking, the pharmacist confirmed they were flea bites.

You’re basically FaceTiming a doctor!

You know how FaceTime always feels a little awkward while you’re ringing the other person but then the awkwardness goes away as soon as you’re connected? Yeah, that’s this experience.

I was really apprehensive my first experience (in 2016) but I felt so sick I didn’t want to leave my bed. Plus, at the time it was the middle of winter in New England, peak flu season, and the paranoid new mom in me didn’t want to expose myself to those germs in the waiting room and bring them home to my brand new baby. But, as soon as I was connected to the doctor the awkwardness wasn’t there. My husband was then able to then go pickup my prescription- easy peasy!

I’ve since used it at least a dozen times - being a teacher with a daughter in daycare I’m sick a lot! I recommend this service to everyone I work with, it’s so convenient!

Good “Bed-Side Manners” & Easy

I was a little apprehensive at first because I was not sure how the visit would go and the kind of doctor I would get. I was having extreme ear pain. I was connected quickly and the doctor had great bed-side manners and made the experience seem so natural. My daughter kept grabbing my ear (of course she had to do it at this time :)), and the doctor smiled, was okay with it, and stayed focus on my diagnosis. I was able to put in my pharmacy ahead of time and my prescription was sent over and filled quickly. The entire process took less than 5 minutes. I can also review what we discussed, my medication, and my discharge follow-up info from LiveHealthOnline . I will definitely use LiveHealthOnline going forward. Don’t feel “weird” about it - it feels natural after doing it once.

Fantastic and life changing!

I knew when it was time to seek a therapist that I was going to be given the tools to change. Experiences with therapy in the past consisted of much talking about what went wrong and things I have held onto from past trauma. I knew I wanted to have things that I could change to make what didn’t work actually be different. In short order I was shown things that could be different if I was willing to choose it. Once I uncovered the blocks, I received such positive encouragement that I could remove those block. I was shown that I could put down the old heavy baggage by the side of the road and actually walk forward. I have been sprinting ahead and everything about my life is changing for the better! What a wonderful gift! Absolutely worth it!

Easy and fast

I’ve had so many simple UTIs, I can pretty much diagnose them on my own. It got really old going back and forth to time consuming office appointments for something I know could be over with in less than 5 minutes. That hassle and lack of time has kept me with the same UTI for months on the past... but not anymore.
For these simple infections, LHO lets me speak with a doctor (of my choice) and begin a course of treatment in around 10 minutes. The wait is usually no longer than 2 minutes and the doctors I have seen all had good bedside manner.
For those common sense occasions where you know you should see someone in person...take your health seriously and go see the doctor. For the rest of the day to day sinus infections, UTIs, and sore throats, LiveHealthOnline is a godsend.

Professional acting doctors

I’m a youngish woman and have had two separate male doctors who have both been very professional and quickly helped diagnose and send antibiotics my way. I have a couple chronic conditions: ear infections and UTI’s. LiveHealthOnline/program is such a relief to me. It USED to be such a hassle having to go to the clinic or my doctors office every single time I had an infection (several times a year between the two), especially when you have children in tow and work. I was a little apprehensive when I tried it the first time. I chose a male doctor because he was available the quickest and I was in pain, even though at the time I wanted a female. He squashed my anxiety and was super. Now that I know there are a couple of doctors I know I can trust, it’s really sold me. Very impressed indeed.

Lifesaver! You have no idea

The worst part about having a cough/cold/phlegm/flu is having to get in the car and drive, wait, fill out tons of paperwork, and wait some more to see a doctor all while in a waiting room with others you might spread your germs to. Even worse is when you’re far away from your regular doctor. Livehealth is great when you know what you have because you’re an adult and you’ve gone through this before. Livehealth has been a lifesaver in these kinds of situations. I’m so thankful they are there. It’s like Facetiming a doctor. At the end of the visit everything is typed neatly so if you forget the recommendations the doctor gave, you can reference their notes. I will recommend Livehealth to everyone! Thank you, Livehealth!!!!!!!! 💕👍

Comfortable, professional and effective experience

I have allergy – induced asthma and was experiencing a flareup which was a build up of phlegm in my respiratory system. I felt like the situation could be turned around before a trip to the emergency room was necessary. Before I initiated the contact with the physician, I made sure that I had notes at hand that explained when my condition was aggravated and it’s current status. After the doctor reviewed my history and examined my throat via the camera and had me take in and let out a big breath, she prescribed medication. I had two questions, which she answered to my satisfaction and that was the end of the visit. The whole experience felt so normal. I’ll be using it again I’m sure.

By

Seamless User Experience

For me the process was a seamless one. The doctor canceled my visit for me which was nice though, because I had a sore throat which I believed to have been strep. The doctor was reassuring but indicated that standard practice is that they do not diagnose or perform treatment unless there is a swab taken. It is understandable since they need to be able to test whether it is the flu or a bacterial infection as viral infections cannot be treated successfully with antibiotics. It is only because of this I did not give a full star review. These kind of symptoms will not be diagnosed or treated online by them so buyer beware. I will probably not be using this service again for that reason. Be sure to ask your doctor to cancel the visit on their end if you have these symptoms and have to go into your primary to get swabbed ASAP so you don’t feel worse. Feel better everyone!

Consistently Awful Service

I’ve been using LiveHealthOnline for two years now (Spring 2016-Fall 2018) and its consistently been subpar. I’ve used it for both therapy and medical visits and while the people on the other side of the screen have always been professional, the service itself is poorly maintained. The desktop version is absolutely awful, and I’ve had close to a dozen visits with my therapist where the meeting had to be dropped because of errors either on LiveHealthOnline or on the desktop. For some reason the developers decided to remove the ability to grab a therapist out of the waiting room, so when my meeting drops because of app glitches, I can’t just select my provider again. LiveHealthOnline also hasn’t been updated to work on any new screen in several years. LiveHealthOnline is trash, and I’m hoping my provider switches to Talkspace because I hear good things about that platform. The only reason I’m continuing to use LiveHealthOnline is because I like my current therapist.

Easy peas....

Omg I was dreading getting dressed and driving to an urgent care, just to get antibiotics for what I KNOW is a sinus infection. Spoke with the doctor and had my Z-pack called in within 10 minutes, from start to finish. I’ve had about 100 sinus infections and am VERY familiar with the symptoms. I hate having to take time off work, drive time, wait time at an urgent care, wait time at the pharmacy, just to get antibiotics when I KNOW what I have. I’m self employed and having to move clients around and take unpaid tome off is the worst! This is my new go-to, for sure. Connection was great, wait on the system was less than 5 minutes... while I sat on my enclosed porch with my dog, watching a storm. What a Godsend this service is.
