Love this app except when it incorrectly claims there’s a problem with your credit card

I love ZipPass because it makes it so easy to buy. Bus passes and Paratransit passes. It’s so much more convenient than having to have cash on hand. My only big problem has been that a couple times and his claim there is a problem with the credit card I’m using, even though there is absolutely nothing wrong with the credit card. I basically had to uninstall ZipPass reinstall it and put in my info again. Very frustrating. I guess if I had known that before going through all the trouble to try and figure out what could possibly be wrong with my card it might make me feel a little better.

Convenient and easy to access

Some benefits to the mobile app and using an electronic pass is you can purchase your tickets on ZipPass unlike before where you had to find a customer service center to purchase a paper bus pass.

The convenience and simplicity of buying them on ZipPass is remarkable. No more long lines to purchase tickets or buying them at the light rail station and nearly missing your train.

I would recommend having it before getting on train because like years ago, the passes are checked more often than not. I’m glad we can purchase tickets on ZipPass for convenience. It helps out with busy lives.

Worked most of the time

Other than being a little resource demanding it seems to work and display. The fact that you have to tap your pass to display the other motion ( GIF? ). Graphic pass is a little annoying, but I understand the complexity.

Riding on RT

Recently I had an occasion where I needed to get downtown for a doctors appointment. Usually I will get a ride from someone. This was an occasion where I only had a lift to the light rail station. I found that trying to figure out how to work the ticket machine would always be an aggravating headache that was sure to make you miss your train. Now there’s Zip-Pass where you can buy a ticket in advance, online, at your leisure, download it to your phone and store it there and when you need it, call it up, activate it, and present it when asked. Easy Peasy! How cool is that?

Glitching our after recent update

I haven’t really had any issues with ZipPass until this most recent update. I buy all my bus tickets in advance for my work week via ZipPass , and now ZipPass glitches out whenever I try to activate a ticket. I thought that deleting ZipPass and reinstalling it might do some thing, but it just made things worse by making all of my tickets unavailable because it says “ this ticket is downloaded to another device or associated with the previous app installation. If you feel this is an error, please contact customer service; they can unlock your ticket for your use.” Of course this is happening on a weekend so no customer service. Please fix this!!! I rely on SacRT to get to and from work. I’ve already spent the money so it’s not OK if I’m not able to use my tickets.

Inefficient

ZipPass is alright, other than the fact I cannot have my passes on Apple or Samsung wallet, never mind any other options. This was supposed to make life easier but it’s not easier. Connect card should be on here... it should be upload able to apple wallet, I should be able to use my phone to scan the darn machines rather than carrying yet another piece of ‘earth unfriendly,’ and wallet-stuffing plastic card. The machines should be on the actual light rail rather than on the platform (that way someone dashing on the train can still pay). All in all, the systems set up by Sac RT and affiliates are alright, just far from being an efficient use of people’s time and money. It feels like a piecemeal effort rather than a wholistic approach to efficient digital systems for public transit. Nice job, but, you’re far from done.

Super fast and easy

This is such a great app, it’s more than just a convenient way to maintain fare, it’s a piece of mind. The connect card is great but sometimes the machines are down and the tickets machine is the same way, some days it works and others you pray the ticket checker doesn’t get on because you really have to get where you’re going in time. In less than a minute I can select, pay and present my ticket at any time of the day or night…… I always have them.

Fantastically useful, model example of mobile paperless transit ticketing

For those with internet connected phones, ZipPass is a model example of how to do mobile ticketing well. It should be emulated on every transit service that insists on fare box recovery. Though hopefully increased governmental investment in transit will happen, making such a service less crucial. I just hope that the service charges that the developer might be levying against the transit provider are modest or non-existent.

Keeps glitching waste of money

ZipPass is literally a waste of money it is always glitching and I have had many problems with it when it came time to board the bus. I have had this happen to me several times that I go to activate my ticket and show the driver and it randomly glitches and closes ZipPass then signs me out. I’m lucky if I am able to fix the problem before my bus arrives and if not, like today, I miss my bus. I’m extremely frustrated because I bought a $50 monthly pass and went to go use it but when I went to activate it it’s “unable to be activated because it’s already on a different device”??? What?! So I basically just wasted my money. Very disappointed.

Handy idea

Hello!! I discovered this app while riding the bus there was a sign for it. I checked out the website and it was totally easy. The website is user-friendly and it’s very simple to use. You pay for the tickets with your debit card or credit card it makes it so easy. It’s very handy when the bus comes and I don’t have to look for my transfer or my pass. Just show my phone , it’s very handy, convenient and a great idea

can’t sign up and sign in

I've been trying to sign up for ZipPass a whole morning, but it keeps saying "your email has not been verified", but I've never received any verification email. Then I try to follow the instruction choose "forget password", and I can change my password but still can not log in, and I even can't sign up with this email address because it says there's already an account use this address. Please help solve this issue, this is so important for me.

Easy to use

ZipPass is the bomb for purchasing tickets & keeping track of them - wish it had better integration with scheduling and routes. Nevertheless it’s easy to use - wish it had Apple-pay integration is my only change request.

By

Very convenient

Add a credit or debit card and you’re good to go. Doesn’t use Apple Pay.

Purchase the appropriate ticket, activate it as you get on the bus and show it to the driver.
Tickets expire around 45 minutes activation for Light Rail purposes. So only activate it as you get on for maximum usage.

Issue with purchasing Disabled fare

Had an issue with purchasing a disabled single ride and app wouldn’t complete the process of purchasing that ticket. It failed three times but worked for a basic single ride. This was for Sacramento Regional Transit

Great service

I’ve used ZipPass for over a year, and I haven’t had any problems with it. The only thing that’s weird is that I still get notifications about a price change that already happened months ago every time I buy a ticket.

No-Frills, Refreshingly Easy

Now I can just buy a ticket when I need to (even if running so late that I just buy my ticket after I board the train!) ZipPass is pretty straightforward and easy to use. There are no ads, it’s not a space or data hog. Gets the job done well!

It is so easy to buy Zip passes and have them on my Cellphone.

I ride Paratransit therefore ZipPass is absolutely awesome. Because a lot of times I either don’t have cash, or I have run outa coupons. With this I can purchase a ticket anytime. 😀

Easy to Use and convenient

This application is awesome. Very easy to use and gives me the the convenience to buy my tickets online through ZipPass using my credit card. Love it.

Overpriced tickets

The price for the daily ticket should be 2.75-3$not 7$. These bus drivers make enough money off us as is. That and there should be a way we can deactivate our tickets to save minutes. Sometimes the bus takes too long for us to get to the second bus to also get to our destination. Single passes should be longer like 2&1/2 hours

New Update= Waste

I’m a student to San Juan High and I woke up to updating my this app which I didn’t mind at all but when I bought my ticket, got on the bus and I can’t open the ticket it just glitches and kick me off ZipPass . I’ve tried to turn my phone off completely and see if that worked but it didn’t. I don’t think the new ticket logo and all of the newer stuff made the glitches go away but make it worse. PLEASE FIX IMMEDIATELY!
