My UCBI is located in Pendleton South Carolina. Everyone who works at that branch has a smile on their face every time I walk in to do my business. That Bank was “ Palmetto Bank” before it was bought by UCBI. Every employee stayed and worked for United Community Bank Inc. Lerania, The branch manager, Doris, Kathy, Lerane and my special favorite, Autume, Will go the extra mile for any of their customers. Customer service is number one at the bank..... thanks to all of you..... I moved to west Virginia about six months ago, but I still do my banking in Pendleton South Carolina. I pay all my bills through bill pay and I have threeDirect deposit checks that go into my account every month. Larry E Sterling

Not user friendly and design is poor

It gets the job done, but I do not like it. Many strange layout issues that make it look old and sketchy, which is not what you want with an app you trust your money to. The image of their logo at the top isn't even a vector image so it looks pixilated and blurry, and unprofessional.
This bank bought the Aquesta Bank that my family was previously using, a smaller bank that had an amazing app that was modern-looking, had many user friendly options (like adding notes to their transactions and a dark mode), and made finding information and transfering money very easy.
Switching to UnitedCommunity, after the transition from Aquesta, I was VERY disappointed. I would expect a bigger bank to have a better app, not the worst one I've used. United Community Bank should hire whoever created Aquesta's banking app to fix this one and its multitude of issues.

Bank app review

Everything great only one or two things I’d change. I don’t know my account number and routing number, that would be awesome to be able to find here instead of calling bank or trying to find where I wrote it down 5 years ago. And the delay opening it since the update. I got so used to being able to click the check account button that now the update has moved everything down the page and I have to wait a few extra seconds to load or I’ll end up in the ad. (Oh the troubles of being spoiled with technology) Again everything is great!

Among the many thousand members and customers of of this awesome home grown bank. I know that there are many here for the same reason and feeling and satisfaction and respect. That I’ve received from UNITED COMMUNITY BANK and their thoughtful ,dedicated and most importantly smiling happy staff. That actually remembers your name. If by chance you remember how banking used to be years ago and you would love to have that back. Then close your accounts where you have no face or name only a number. Not always reliable

I’ve been a customer for many years and have been using UnitedCommunity for many years. Unfortunately, as time has gone by, the reliability of UnitedCommunity has gone down. More and more I find that UnitedCommunity won’t even load to the login page and when it does you can’t always get logged in. Not to mention it seems like there is always hours long maintenance on the weekends. I’ve found myself having to go more often to the website to log in. One other annoyance to me is that your account doesn’t seem to update while you’re logged in. If, for example you make a deposit while logged in, I have to log out and then back in to see the updated balance. So, in summary, it’s pretty good when it works, but could definitely be better.

Use the app before you “update” it..

You recently changed UnitedCommunity so that when the home screen is loading, for (more than a second), the “accounts” link is shown, by the time I get to the point that I’m touching the link to see the recently cleared transactions, the home page has inserted another banner that pushes the “accounts” links down and replaces it with some other web page link.

It then asks me if I want to leave UnitedCommunity . (Which I have to then cancel so I can go into my recent transactions.)

Stop trying to sell me another service if I already use your services.. make it easy for me to find the other options, but don’t throw them in my face every time I open UnitedCommunity .

Improvements

I love UnitedCommunity it’s very convenient to check on my bank account the only thing that I wish that I could do is somehow check off the ones that I have seen and compare to my receipts or highlight The ones that I have seen after comparing them to my receipt this would help a lot of your customers and especially some of the elderly customers and help prevent fraud if people can compare them to their receipts and check them off once the people have seen it and clicked on it to doublecheck everything I have it highlighted or have it in bold The convenient way would probably have a check box in front that way it leaves it up to the customer to check it or not and gives them time to compare it to the checkbook

I have been a customer for over eight years years. I was self employed for twenty one years rite outside of Atlanta. There I used two banks and didn’t get the quality of service that I do now. I only have one issue with United Community Bank,that is if I write someone a check and they don't have a account with United Community Bank,they are charged a fee for accepting my check and I don’t feel that is rite. That’s the only issue I have. The people are the most helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with and they make me feel like family

Very user friendly

I started UnitedCommunity after a job change and began to be paid weekly. I needed a way to “photo-deposit” since the new job didn’t offer direct deposit. Did have some difficulty establishing it, but had a helpful UCB staff member assist me in person. I’ve used UnitedCommunity for just over 6 months. Recently, it did freeze up and I had to close it and reboot it. But we’ve all had minor problems with our otherwise helpful apps. I’m overall pleased with UnitedCommunity , and remember that the UCB staff is always there to assist us. They are what makes this bank so great.

Banking app review

I love my banking app. It is very convenient and security with UCBI has always been excellent.
The only complaint I have is the low $$ amount allowed for deposits through UnitedCommunity . The closest UCBI since I moved is 40 minutes away. It is very inconvenient to drive that distance just to deposit a check. Otherwise I love my bank. All of the staff at every location I have dealt with has always been so kind, helpful and considerate, even calls made to the corporate location. Especially the Peachtree City and Fayetteville locations. I won’t change my bank because of that.

Great Tool!

UnitedCommunity makes keeping track of my finances at United Community Bank an easy process. All my accounts are right here. United Community Bank has great service and UnitedCommunity is a reflection of their commitment to service to their account holders. I’ve been an account holder with United Community Bank for more than a decade. I have used their phone apps from the time they were introduced and I have gone through the upgrades and changes. They keep getting better and better. UnitedCommunity is stable, well organized, and is a great asset! I would definitely recommend UnitedCommunity and United Community Bank.

SECOND TO NONE.

I have always loved the customer service! I've been a customer locally and out of state, and I couldn't ask for better treatment from this branch. The employees at the local branch I visit, will even help me with questions I have about my account over the phone at any time they are open. I have always had the greatest customer care from them all. I truly have never had such great service anywhere else as I have at the United Community Bank in Newland, NC. Thank you, ALL of you are greatly appreciated!!

Absolutely the best, every single person in any department I I’ve dealt with is AWESOME! Everyone is about you, your cares, your concerns, your questions, your situation, even your day. They will jump through hoops to get you an answer, a resolution, a plan, even an encouraging word! I really, really, really recommend this bank to anyone. Slow reaction time

If I could put a negative star
.....i would! I use my card and sometimes it takes 4 to 5 days for everything to clear or even show up! Not a good mobile app at all! My mom will transfer money to or from my account and it takes DAYS to show up, much less clear from my balance!!! Sometimes, the delay in transactions will put my account in the minus when I KNOW that the money is in there! If I had another bank to transfer to immediately, I'd do it! You can't get anybody on the phone to fix problems, and I've even had to go to a different ATM SEVERAL times to pull my weekly pay out of my account!!! Not happy with the service of this bank OR atm's! Much disappointment in the delayed reaction time of the transactions that are associated with my account!!!!!

Excellent user friendly app!!

UnitedCommunity is always easy to use. I check my account daily. It’s fast and very easy to use. Thank you also for the top notch customer service at all locations. Especially when I walk into my neighborhood bank. Always welcomed with a friendly smile. Also Tracy Guise at the Ellijay location is my go to every time I have any questions. She’s very knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond. She deserves some kind of incentive. In my opinion. Thank you United community bank.

Thank you for a great App

I have used UnitedCommunity for over a year now and not one time has it ever give me any trouble it has always brought up my account with no glitches and no hesitation I check it every day because having UnitedCommunity also saved me from bank fraud someone had stole my debit card number and was using it in Colorado because of UnitedCommunity I knew it happened almost immediately on top of that United Community Bank made it right so it’s great all the way around thank y’all in UnitedCommunity is great

Every thing you could want in an app.

Love this, best bank app I have used to this time. And the help center is second to none. I have been with this bank for years and I have always been treated like the most important customer. I like the fact that when I started banking here, this was a true community bank. And it’s growing for that very fact and the customer service they provide, but there is absolutely no discernible difference in customer service as they have grown.

Small bank feel, big bank tech

Love the UCBI app! It lets me check all my accounts, mobile deposit, pay bills, etc. on the go. UCB has done a great job of making improvements and updates since launch. A former BOA customer, I was definitely used to high tech options, but I was willing to give that up for better customer service. With UCB, I don’t have to! Great, personal service plus solid technology! So happy I switched.

Easy to use

UnitedCommunity for United Community Bank is easy to use. Not only does it maintain a ledger of all the transactions in your account it also allows transactions to be labeled as a type of transaction: medical is broken down into doctors fees, prescriptions, hospital charges, dental and several more. It is easy to add a transaction category or type of purchase. It will see how the previous transactions to the payee have been categorized and automatically categorize it’s the previous transaction was.

Reason I switched banks

I was at a larger bank for many years. I was satisfied with the service and app from the bank. After a merger with another large bank they changed names and apps. I didn’t like the new app and even our kids complained about it. In today’s world banking is mostly online. If you app isn’t good your in trouble. UCB’s bank is user friendly and so is their staff. Don’t change a thing.
