We bank with TD, Chase and USAA, so I write this review with some experience in how other financial institutions bank their customers. As a bank, no one could beat the customer service and advancements of Compass Bank. After BBVA took over, however, the quality of bank products, technology advancements and most definitely customer service has plummeted to all new lows. BBVA Compass has lost its way and lived out its useful life. Their reliance on branch banking, old or cheap technology and poorly paid customer service reps makes them an irrelevant dinosaur in this industry. For better, worldwide service, the ability to transact online or by phone from anywhere in the country or world (and for FAR better funds availability practices), consider closing your account and taking your money elsewhere. I’d close mine but I now live in a state without a branch location, and among the other services I don’t have access to, I was informed account closure is not permitted without going into a branch.
