I have a netgear r6700v3. I used to be able to log in to the Nighthawk app on my iphone no prob, but now for several months - at least since November 2022 - I have not been able to log in on the app. (I can log in on the computer no problem so I know I know the right password.) It says "Logon timed out, please try again. If this issue persists, try rebooting your device." (yes I've rebooted many times) It doesn't matter if I type my password or a wrong password, I get the same error. So it's not even sending the password and/or log in attempt to the router, obviously. The reason I really want to be able to log in on the app again is, that's the only way - apparently - to check that that "Armor" security crap is not installed or enabled. When that Armor "free trial" went live a couple years ago, it caused all sorts of problems - router hanging, really lagging, forcing me to reboot the router several times a week, it was horrible. Disabling it through the app, took care of those problems and I went back to trouble-free performance. Until recently - the last couple weeks to a month. One online suggestion was, to check that the time zone isn't incorrect in the settings; so I fixed those; didn't work. Now I'm rolling back to previous version (2022 version), but still no luck.

Tried everything with the Nighthawk app. It worked perfectly fine for more than a year and a half. Just recently, went to use the app on my samsung phone I had to login as ADMIN. Afterentering the password [that i know works] on my pc and when managing the router under the WiFi connection. I received the following message. "Logon timed out, please try again. If this issue persists, try rebooting your device." I tried every "hack" except starting the router from factory. They included: Clearing cache Clearing data Removing the app reinstalling the app and everything else on the list of things to try. I even got tech support to do a remote login and review my PC. The tech was a great guy and listened to everything I offered. Unfortunately, he was required to examine everything leading up to correcting the app. After looking at several items, he noted that I had foreign access to my PC. It turns out that they were all Microsoft ip addresses trying to monitor my computer via: Windows Defender Windows Update Windows, etc........ I can see that I AM NOT the only person to have this problem. I hope NETGEAR can provide me the correct fix without trying to sell me more support contracts. I do not see the need to pay for something that actually worked right up until recently. Honestly, I believe there is some type of a software glitch or stored information my my phone that needs to be removed. My guess id that they know the correct answer to fix this problem. Please post that answer. I have spent way too many hours trying to fix this "simple problem" THANK YOU!

Need help with nighthawk app on android, it used to work fine, but now ive tried everything and reinstalling the app several times and it wont let me verify my new password, please help

The App has never worked on my Android saying can not connect and same timed out things that others have complained about but all my devices will connect to the wifi of the Netgear modum/router. Then when trying to update the firmware because of network connection drops and I have white flashing lights and red at times the website is constantly asking me to connect to the netgear modum with the ethernet cable. How else do you think I would have accessed the web if I wasn't with my PC since the phone APP clearing isn't an option and from the PC you MUST be hooked up via ethernet cable!? I try to use the separate login page for the firmware update but it says Are you Trying to connect!? OMG!! I will go and buy a better Brand Name of a modum/router that is 1000% better and happily burn this Netgear one. Because its rubbish BS pointless, useless and a waste of time. MOVE ON People. Onward and Upward!! Toss it out :)

No matter what I try the app continues to tell me that my WiFi password is wrong when attempting to connect a new device… but I am 100% sure that my password is not wrong. Help!

App literally will not let me login. Upon booting the app, i am forced onto a login page where it asks for an admin password, then tells me it has timed out, no matter what I do. Can't access app to fix my settings at all. Totally useless, PLEASE AVOID USING NETGEAR.

I’m trying to set up an account and it won’t let me. I’ve tried deleting and downloading again. Won’t let me get Passed first page with name email and password. Please help

Had a previous registered email product. Whether I try to login on old account or start a new one, app doesn't allow it. When I put in my email, it resorts to requesting old password. Caught in continuous loop demanding old password. When I try to enter email as new account, asks for email address and verification, then loops back to requesting my password and demanding old password information. Trying to register new equipment, it tells me I already have a product and requests that I enter email information and loops back to existing email information and gets stuck in same loop. App is totally useless to me. Maybe you can delete my previous account since my old unit no longer works, so I can start fresh? Only thing that I can think of.

Cannot login to app. Can't login to netgear.com tried rebooting everything tried to reset password just in case. Keep getting timed out for verification, what's up. June 5 2022

My NightHawk app will not connect to my router Netgear AC 4000. I have tried rebooting my router, my iPad, and my router multiple times as well deleting and reinstalling the app on my iPad. All devices are up to date with the operating systems and firmware. Continue to get the following error: Logon timed out, please try again. If this issue persists, try rebooting your device. How can I fix this?

- Have to check IP addresses of each device and manually name them

- Smart connect constantly causes multiple devices to drop main combined WiFi connection

- Doesn't let you input the time manually or have a drop down menu for time increments

- Doesn't have parental controls

- Doesn't work or works for a while and stops working when IPV6 is enabled

- Nightmare to setup the router

- No longer supports the nighthawk series routers
