Few problems

MyHealthatVanderbilt needs a few tweaks….I like the to-do list but there are some tweaks that need to be done. 1. The question about “paperless “ does not go away. There should be a yes or no on that question. 2. I have been asked about my contact info 2-3 times this year, I have confirmed it but this question remains on my to-do list. This question should only be on the account info and we change it when there is a change. 3. I completed my pre-visit questionnaire prior to my appointment with Dr Abbate, when I got to the office, the nurse asked me all the questions again… Why did I spend my time doing this prior to my visit? Don’t waste your staffs time and don’t waste your clients time. . Also, some of the questions she asked me that weren’t on the pre visit questionnaire should have been (how do I learn best, visual or hearing. Also what type of exercise do I do and how often. These questions should be on the pre visit ).

Vanderbilt is amazing hospital!

I’ve been traveling across the country and in between many different states. I have to leave a review to emphasize how much Vanderbilt cares about their patients. They have a great system, no matter if I go by walking-in or with an appointment, everything is very organized and clear. My experience in US doctors offices and hospitals elsewhere was usually to wait for a long time without any reason. I always had to wait for a long time before I got my exam results. But here, with Vanderbilt, I got my blood results in the same day with a comprehensive and very advanced app. I can track my history or any appointments or different exams so easy. And the employees are nice and helpful. So far, it is my top one on the list in my experience!

Vandy App!

I’ve used the Myhealth App for around 3 years now and I find it to be an effective and efficient way to communicate with your entire health care team. I can review lab reports, x-rays or tests and see for myself exactly what my doctors are seeing or reading. So I’m not just told that my vitamin D is low, I can look at the lab report and see just how low it is. I’m not using it to self diagnose, I’m not in any way qualified to do that. It allows me to take an active role in my healthcare, helping me to be able to educate myself. Access to my information and the ability to contact my providers for answers or questions helps a lot.

MyHealth

4/5stars for issues to be addressed
1.should have direct link to my Health messaging not phone only.
2. Should have pt information link for correcting charting errors
3. Needs place for pt note such as questions for upcoming appointments
4. Need to know by Dept who initially reads message to dr. Is it triaged to fellow RN team or my drs RN Who is my drs rn ?
5 would be great to have 2 way link to billing no just pay bill
6. The my health system is very good but need way for indiv response- how can I print lab results in graph w trend showing norms
7 lab should not be item by item pulled out. Want old way labs weee shown
8. Vandy needs to address Lack of transparency in clinic staff. Ea Dept should have a dr bio updated often w photo and clinic area of expertise as well as head of Dept. If dr is in research that should be named too. Why is my urology surgery being done by dr who has no oncology training when it is oncology surgery!! Flagrant errors made when any pt would have asked for an oncologist. I have had to many dead drop consults picked up by unqualified staff. And bout known it until errors made!! Pt relations is horrible!!

Absolutely awesome!

I’m 71 years old and don’t use a lot of apps because they are difficult to learn. This is the hands down best app ever. It’s so easy to use, the information you get as a patient is so good. All the doctors and nurses answer your questions. Appointment information and contact is good. I wish the VA would let Vanderbilt make there app which is basically useless. Once I figured out how to use MyHealthy VA site now once again they are changing the way you sign in. I still haven’t figured out the new way. USE MyHealthatVanderbilt DISCOVER ALL THE AWESOME THINGS YOU CAN DO. I LOVE IT. THANKS VANDERBILT MEDICAL CENTER. THE BEST EVER.

Hoping for better

I scheduled Covid vaccination for my daughters thru MyHealthatVanderbilt . It snowed on the day of the appt and I tried to change it on MyHealthatVanderbilt . But MyHealthatVanderbilt didn’t work. There wasn’t a phone number listed in MyHealthatVanderbilt . We drove to appt but the clinic was closed. I’ve since tried to reschedule but the only places available on MyHealthatVanderbilt are across town. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to use this technology to send out cancellation notices via phone, text or email. A non specific notice like “Vanderbilt clinics are closed due to weather”. The technology could also be used to send me a message, like when the doctor wants to get test results to me. I do not expect the clinical staff to get out in hazardous conditions but if they make the effort to go to work then what would they expect from me?

Handy, when it works

Except for the atrocious name, this app has great potential. Unfortunately, it will probably always stay at that place…having great potential but not living up to it. An example is the doctors’ reports area. Doctors’ reports are not really doctors’ reports, they are a regurgitation of things like your known illnesses and the meds you’re on. No real doctors’ notes. My biggest complaint, though, is that the system is always down. Almost every time I really need it, it never fails. It’s down. If they cannot find a more robust system, then they need to just trash the whole idea. I would rather not have it and not depend on it then depend on it and it not be there, which is what is happening now.

No app support

I got my Covid vaccines months ago through Metro Health, but I can’t disable the “Get Your Covid Vaccine” reminders in MyHealthatVanderbilt. I’m getting annoyed to have to click past them, but can’t find a way to indicate via MyHealthatVanderbilt that I’ve already been vaccinated. There is no in-app support, or at least any that I can find after clicking around and following support links that take me outside MyHealthatVanderbilt . When I last went to Vanderbilt, I discussed this with the receptionist who has access to my records, but he also didn’t know how to update my record to show that I got the vaccine outside the Vanderbilt system. This is an annoying flaw. Please address this. Thanks.

Good but could be great

Works well as-is, but here are a few features that I think would make it even better (may not be realistic but bear with me):

- built-in symptom tracker to help both pts and their medical team better understand what they’re experiencing between messages/appointments (or VUMC should come up with their own symptom tracker with input from pts about features!)

- ability to view rx #’s and request refills within MyHealthatVanderbilt if using a VUMC pharmacy (you can request a new rx from your provider in MyHealthatVanderbilt , but communicating with VUMC pharmacies directly when you need a refill on an existing rx would be helpful)

- ability to view/print/share eyeglass/contact rx from MyHealthatVanderbilt —I actually couldn’t even print my contact rx from the website because the doctor’s name wasn’t listed on it for some reason

If I think of other ideas I will update my review or post a new one. :)

Definitely improved over the last 3 years!

MyHealthatVanderbilt has definitely improved over the last 3 years. I especially like that I can now title my messages as I see fit for the concern. HOWEVER, you guys have to change the reply format. Now when we hit reply to messages, we can’t see the previous messages. I’ve had to screenshot it and go back and forth OR copy and paste the message from the practitioner. Can you please look at this?? It is a serious challenge to respond. Thank you!

MyHealth Excellent Tool

MyHealth is a Very Excellent Tool for use Online and in App form to Manage Your Health and Wellness within the Vanderbilt Medical System. It is very user friendly, especially for those who less familiar with Web Online or iPhone Apps. Excellent to use to fill out paperwork before arriving to an appointment instead of filling out paperwork in the office, Manage & Pay your VMU Bill and a Great Archive to see all / Manage Prescriptions, Office Visits, Scheduling etc.

My health at vanderbill

This is great tool it help me remember my appointments and what the Doctor told at
me at my visit. I sometimes forgot exactly what they told me. I can print a copy of my medicine if I need it. My daughter helps with my Health care so I give her access to my account and that helps her know what going on with my health she not always able to take me to the doctor. Thank you Vanderbilt for the GREAT Care and communication

Medications

My chart at Vandy is already linked to my current provider and yet, when I went into the e-check in process, I had to manually add all my medications. Why couldn’t those be seen and recorded in Vandy’s system.

I also have all end of life documents uploaded there as well. Must I repeat that process myself? Or can you obtain them from the linked information.

Doesn’t make much sense to me as it should be a convenience to me, and it’s proving not to be so.

You can see for yourself on myhealth

When doctors ask me questions about my medical life, I just give them an invitation to view my medical history with a temporary pass that I request for medical access on the moment on myhealth@vanderbilt.
This makes managing my chronic illnesses on point and doctor visits make sense to me, my medical team, and my family and coworkers.
Health maintenance is time management.

Ruined the app

This was the best app ever. I used to be able to search for labs and graph them. Now it’s a piece of junk. I hate it. They ruined an excellent app. All labs and reports are thrown in a lump in one file and half of them aren’t really in there anyway. Messaging a provider doesn’t work well either now because you can’t reply you have to start a whole new email. No more threads. I want the old app back! I need to be able to graph my labs and also search for specific labs like I used to be able to do. The old app was outstanding. Best I have ever used. This is garbage. I plan to just dump it. Piece of crap now. It’s absolutely useless. Whoever thought of this should be fired.

Advantages of MyHealth

I like that I get a quick response from my doctors without having to wait on a phone call. I also like that my medicines are listed whenever I need the information for a doctor or for my information. I like bein able to see my lab results and doctor summaries. I use the application frequently.

Love the Vanderbilt My Health app

The My Health app is wonderful!!! It helps us so much when we need to get a refill or ask the nurse a question or make or reschedule an appt without having to call, go through an operator, wait on hold for several mins and still not get what or where you were needing to be directed to. MyHealthatVanderbilt is handy and easy to use I Love it♥️

User Friendly

MyHealthatVanderbilt has proven to be incredibly user friendly, and it has everything I need all in one place. I can see balances I have due and see all of upcoming appointments, as well as, receive notifications about new and upcoming appointments. The best health app and system from any health care facility we have used by far!

Vanderbilt - My Health App

This is fantastic. It maintains all my health information in one place. All my Vanderbilt doctors, all my immunizations, all my tests and related results, all my appointments and I can easily communicate with my doctors/nurses. I have yet to find anything MyHealthatVanderbilt cannot assist me with as it relates to all my Vanderbilt health care. I highly recommend using MyHealthatVanderbilt!!

Allow attachments & provide additional info

It would be really helpful if patients were able to attach images or documents to messages. It would allow nurses and doctors to see what the patient is dealing with in order to better diagnose what the patient should do. If the ailment is not serious, it would keep the patient from taking an unneeded office from a patient that actually needs to be seen.

Also, when viewing lab results, allow users to tap on each score to learn about what the specific category is and why it is important. For example, if a user taps on their “auto neutrophil absolute” score, an info box would come up explaining what that is and what it does for the body.

5 Star App becomes useless overnight

MyHealthatVanderbilt used to be more than I ever expected in a medical interface portal. It was the first place I went when I needed details from my past doctor visits or needed to communicate with any of my doctors. Recently, an error message pops up upon opening saying “you will need a new version of the My Health app in order to access your account” with a link to MyHealthatVanderbilt Store. However the only thing present in MyHealthatVanderbilt Store is the same old app that doesn’t open. Thanks for taking a perfect app which store a wealth of information, and making it irrelevant & useless.

The app works perfectly fine

I just downloaded MyHealthatVanderbilt this week and it works perfectly fine. I can easily search tests, billing, message providers, etc. I also really enjoy the new graphical layout of the test results. I’m not really sure what happened with all the 1 star reviews in November...sounds like a lot of “user error” going on...

By

Outstanding App

I have used MyHealthatVanderbilt for several yeats and used almost every function that is available on MyHealthatVanderbilt . Not particularly fond of the lab results format but I will learn it too. I just wish I could print out the complete/current blood work to give to my GP. Keep up the great work Vanderbilt.

By

Allow visits viewed,Allow pics attachment, direct office call.

In times past I could view and save my visits. This was helpful. I keep an electronic file of all health visits, reports, etc. this helps me to feel comfortable about the overall health condition of myself or my husband.
A picture is worth a thousand words is still true. It could be very helpful to the health provider in understanding better the issue the patient is having.

By

Works great!

This does everything I need it to without any hassle. I can pay my bill, message my providers, check my results, etc. No bugs that I’ve noticed

By

Can’t see my doctor’s contact info

One critical feature is missing - I need to get the contact info for my doctor to add it to a form for a different business. You’d think I could tap on that doctor and all contact info would be there, but no. All you get is 2 links to either send a message or make an appointment.
PLEASE DISPLAY ADDRESS & PHONE #!!!!!

By

Why did you release this?

I’ve seen some bad apps before, but multiple links to nowhere and no compatibility with iPhone SSO and faceID without having to log in 3 separate times, and a PW reset of course because it can’t use the strong pw? Obviously not something you want patients to use, much less like using.

By

App needs update

Since the latest app rolled out, communication with doctors office is more difficult than before. You cannot even see message to your doctor, if they receive or have read your message. App really is only good for keeping track of appointments, that and seeing lab results. Really thought this new version was to be an approvement.

By

I like the new interface

My account also said disabled so I went to forgot my password and once I reset it worked great!

By

Unable to see if messages are read and when

I used to be able to see if a message has been read. It says within 2-3 days response time, but at least I used to see if my messages were even read. I sent one on Jan 17 and can not see if read.

By

Worst

This is the worst app I have ever used. It was never a problem to use until this stupid update... this isn’t but a junk app now. I can’t retrieve any information from my doctors and the test results will not show up anymore because it can’t retrieve the data... It would be reliable just to email my doctors from Gmail...

By

Please improve

The message function on MyHealthatVanderbilt does not work properly. When I go into My Health in Safari, there is a message center where I can see sent messages; and, in MyHealthatVanderbilt they do not show at all. In fact, in MyHealthatVanderbilt under messages it shows a link to most recent lab results.
