Learn Croatian – Mondly Reviews

The mini games make it very ideal for learning on the go. It’s very easy to keep track of your progress. You can even review old lessons and play the games from past lessons as many times as you wish for better memorization and retention.

I purchased all the lessons for a year to learn Croatian. I wish it would have been a one time purchase to justify the expensive price (close to 50 dollars for a year). My major qualm with LearnCroatian is that it will teach you sentences to say if you’re a male speaker. I was not aware of this until my Croatian boyfriend pointed it out I was using a lot of phrases in a masculine way and not the feminine form. I’ve already spent 10 hours using LearnCroatian and have gone through the lessons in order, and it does not point this out. I suggest asking the user to input their gender and teach them sentences one would use for their specific gender, or at least make it more clear certain words need to change if you’re female.

I really like the set up and feel of LearnCroatian . It’s aesthetically pleasing as well as practical and actually teaches you.
Yet... a lot of the content I need to learn it restricted by the premium feature.
It’s quite frustrating because I’m Croatian and I’ve been trying to learn forever and I’ve been trying to find a good app and this is one of the goods ones I’ve found. I’m also taking a trip to Croatia and I feel kinda unprepared which I hopped LearnCroatian would help with.

You’re almost there

LearnCroatian is just okay. Not horrible, not great. I started using it because it has (Serbo-)Croatian, and none of the other popular language apps did.

It has errors, but fewer than Drops. It also has a lot more grammar than Drops, which is almost exclusively vocabulary. It is more flexible than Duolingo, in that you don't have to finish earlier things before going to more advanced things, but I think this is because Duolingo has a lot more grammar, and thus needs that structure.

The best thing, perhaps, is that you can also use the web site. That may seem like small potatoes but it's actually very nice to have that option if you don't feel like using a small screen.

The worst thing is that the UI is not great. Drops and Duolingo stand out as the best for UI, and even Memrise has a nicer UI than this. But that's a small thing in the end.

I just started today and so far I like it. I’m learning this language because my boyfriend is Bosnian and every time we go to Bosnia to visit it don’t speak the language well. Croatian is basically the same language so hopefully it’ll help me communicate better when we visit this summer.

Learning Croatian with native speakers.. funny and easy categories.. which can be done in short spurts.. and repeat as necessary.. speaker function helps you make sure you are saying something correctly

I don’t know how effective this will be in learning a new language, but it’s enjoyable to go through the daily lesson while drinking my morning coffee. I think I’m starting to pick up more of the vocabulary. Hvala.

I am not sure how much I am learning, but after two weeks I am not bored and I still keep wanting to return to learn. My wife is Croatian and I have tried other programs to learn the language, this is the best for me.

Mondly covers many topics and the exercises are interesting. LearnCroatian is a great value and offers more features than other language programs I have used in the past. I recommend giving Mondly a try for your studies.

I love LearnCroatian . I have tried different apps but this one so far is the best. I love that you can speak into your phone and LearnCroatian can check pronunciation. Also, at the end of each lesson you can tap in each word you don't know and practice!

I enjoy LearnCroatian but could use more practice on the very basics of learning the language. For example, there are no exercises related to how Croatian words change based on gender.

It’s been 3 years since visiting Croatia and I am having fun working my through LearnCroatian . Looking forward to putting what I learn to use in my next trip.

I love how the lessons are set up. You hear the words, can speak them back, see them written in both English and Croatian. So perfect and quick to learn :)

I especially luv the daily lessons which are digestible, practical and just enough to keep you engaged and learning without feeling overwhelmed. Five stars for a free app

Love LearnCroatian! Would love to have a way to quiz myself easily on everything I’ve learned and not just the daily lessons. Besides that, it’s awesome. And they have Croatian!!

I've had a quiet great progress in learning Croatian language .if you really look for an app to become fluent in difficult languages ,I recommend you Mondly as one of best language learning apps .

Although I already know Croatian, LearnCroatian is really good in improving it more. Definitely recommended for beginners and anyone who wants to improve! (^O^)

I’m not sure who came up with this format first but it’s fine for certain vocabulary. It seems to have a weird dialect for Croatian but I’m unsure as my mother is from the hills.

This is the best app for me to learn this. I love it it is so much help and if you need to look over the words to remember you can always look back and that’s what I loveee!

The free stuff is great. The speaker speaks slowly and pronounces every syllable and it’s easy to understand, but you only get the first lesson free. Once they trick you to buy the full language, it’s a different speaker who speaks incredibly fast and half of the recordings are incomplete. Just do the free trial, then uninstall for a better app.
