I've never had an app that's caused me more frustration and actual trouble in my life. The latest in a long string of problems came tonight while trying to log in through HVB and discovering my app-TAN feature has been disabled without any explanation. Going to the website tells me that I can only enable this via HVB , but HVB tells me that I can't even log into HVB without active TANs, so I need to ever so conveniently visit my physical bank branch for help. Wonderful news as this comes on the first day of a business trip to a city without any this app branches. I'm so thankful I have a second bank account with a different bank so I'm not stranded without access to my money.

You are obsessed with „Sicherheit“. I am banking with my American bank and my English bank. Both are user friendly.
What is your problem with logging in with a thumb print. It’s sufficient for the police worldwide but not for Hypovereinsbank. Fire your silly web designers and make your website user friendly.

I cannot even open HVB after the recent app update. Using iPhone XR, software 13.1.2. Crashes at startup.

Die this app wirbt mit innovativ und intuitiv. Genau das ist die App nicht, stattdessen hausbacken und kompliziert. Mehr Klicks als vorher. Bisher genutzte Funktionen wurden versteckt!

Um meinen Kontostand zu überprüfen oder kleine Überweisungen zu machen funktioniert die App, aber … das AppTan verfahren ist sehr umständlich, bei anderen Banken kann ich mit einem swipe eine Transaktion bestätigen, Push Nachrichten funktionieren überhaupt nicht (iPhone) weder bei mir noch bei meiner Frau, und generell ist die App nicht so benutzerfreundlich wie bei anderen Banken. Ich hoffe dass das verbessert wird …

Die App und der ganze Prozess mit der AppTan ist absolut lächerlich. Ich habe ein neues Handy und muss dafür über meinen Computer das AppTan Verfahren abschalten um die App auf dem neuen Telefon nutzen zu können. Dummerweise brauche ich aber eine AppTan um mich in meinem Konto einloggen zu können ... was ich aber durch meinen Computer wart freischalten kann. Absolut sinnlos! Auf dem anderen Handy hatte ich Problem mit Fingerprint einzuloggen und musste immer eintippen. Auch sonst ist die App eher schwer zu verstehen.

Diese App ist seit Jahren veraltet. Ueberweisungen waren nicht moeglich, Log-in Daten wurden oft vergessen und Buchungen dauern ewig, dafuer wird aber ein stolzer Preis kassiert fuer die Kontofuehrung. Nachts ist angeblich jeden!!! Tag Datensicherung, daher online Banking nicht moeglich, meist 1-2 Std. Dauer, sowas kenne ich von meinen anderen Banken nicht, hier heisst es dann wirklich Banking 24/7 und auch Ueberweisungen, nicht nur Kontostandsabfrage. this app, muss noch bei vielem aufholen!!

On the ipad, HVB lets you enroll into the appTAN process, I received the letter from the bank with all instructions to activate the feature but there is no way of getting that "Aufträge zur Freigabe" or any other option when using HVB on ipad. Well, we are in the 21st Century and iOS is the same whether you use it on iphone or ipad. I use an ipad pro because it is more comfortable to work with a big screen and I live abroad, so AppTAN is vital to me. I do not think it would be a big deal to bring that app to the ipad or at least to activate the appTAN when used on an ipad. Please update ASAP!
Edit: I tried on the i-hone as well and there is no way to get the appTAN ID reg to finish the process... So I am stuck with a useless app and a useless letter from the bank.
Edit2: The issue was actually partly on me as I had reinstalled HVB just after having started the registration process, and doing so, the hash is not available until you call the hotline to disable the current code. After disabling the code, I could restart from scratch and now, the hash is available... I think the process is quite heavy as the hash should not change when reinstalling HVB or the device.
