I think world remit is amazing! I’ve been sending money to the Philippines. It goes right into their bank account! The bank is not even listed and it still gets there very quickly! The recipient has not had any problems getting their money. I thought WesternUnion was the best. If you really want to know the answer, I think world remit is number one as far as I’m concerned. Those who have had a bad experience, Please give them a chance. Do you want to know why? Because none of us are perfect. World remit tries very hard. I’ve seen it firsthand. I think they do an awesome job!!! When ever I’ve sent money, They’ve constantly kept me posted on where the money is and what’s going on. They would let me know how long it took for the money to get there and when it got there. The other person was notified immediately and given a confirmation number. I think they’re more friendly and more professional than WesternUnion. And last of all, I think they’re a lot more caring and I want to thank them very much for meeting my needs.

Be careful. The rates are low and the user interface is nicely done. However, if you make frequent transactions or a large transaction - be prepared for problems. Your transaction will be stalled - with no notice to you for hours (days) and no explanation. You have to call or email. If you email, expect to wait at least 6 hours for a response. If you call, prepare to wait on hold for 15 minutes or so. They will request information - copies of your ID, bank statements - over and over again. I’ve supplied the same information three times within the past month alone. I guess you get what you pay for. Western Union, Xoom and MoneyGram cost more, but generally you have much less hassle. The first few transactions will be fine. But once you become a regular user, be prepared. It’s a strange business model to penalize/hassle your best customers. I want to see WorldRemit succeed, but lately I’ve only been annoyed by my usage. Initially i was a fan. Not anymore. That’s a shame, but the marketplace will vote with their dollars. I am.

I just wanted to say after reading the reviews I was pretty skeptical about this app and wasn’t sure the money would reach its destination (US to South Africa). My mother was in dire straits and I decided to try. The app was super easy to navigate and at a click the funds were transferred. My mother had to fill in a form and once that was done the funds were in her account. Super fast. She was very thankful she did not have to go to western union or even to the bank and walk around with a lot of cash and I was super glad that she received it in her account without any glitches. If I could give this app and service a 20 star rating I would. Thank you. This is definitely something I would recommend and use in the future.
