When looking at transactions, Each line item only says what kind of debit or credit transaction not the company or person it was to/from. There’s no easy way to scan unless you know the exact amount. To get any details the individual transactions needs to be selected.

Also the pdf statements are not in standard bookkeeping format making reconciliation very tedious. Not business friendly in that regard.

I wish I could share a screen shot to show you all what their interface looks like. They do not show you the name of the companies that have debited your account. All you see is “authorized payment” as the company in your feed. You have to click on each and everyone of the “authorized payments” to see whom it was to. This is the worst mobile app I have ever used. It honestly would have been a deal breaker for me if I had seen this before opening an account.
I think the 5 star reviews is from the developers because I can’t see how this lack of visibility in reading your report is okay with folks that do a lot of mobile banking. This mobile app is an epic fail.
Update: I have called to voice my dissatisfaction about a year ago to that number and told my bank manager and got a passive who cares sort of response and I was just a complainer. It was obvious you do lip service here for PR only.

How do use lotta phone apps to deposit checks and this one is not good. Difficult to navigate requires you to keep entering information if doing more than one transaction not to mention extremely cumbersome login process in. Although the bank staff is excellent and very friendly they’re not really a business bank nor are they set up if you require extra services. I must give them AA plusAnd their home equity loans process is excellent Got approved quickly it seems to be funding as fast

The check deposit function is clunky and just doesn’t not work well at all. I endorse checks via stamp and UmpquaCommercial hardly ever recognizes the endorsement the first time, it takes 3-4 attempts in order to deposit one check. Sometimes I have to sign out and sign back in again just to get the check deposit function to work. I addition, it takes several different clicks just to get to the deposit screen and you can’t do multiple deposits, you have to run through the cycle every time for each check.

This is very inefficient for a business and is costing me lots of extra time and cycles to do simple deposits.

Umpqua- please fix this and make UmpquaCommercial more business user friendly.

I was forced to switch to UmpquaCommercial after having used the standard umpqua app for my business for 8 years. It’s actually terrible. Not being able to see expenses at a glance means my weekly bookkeeping literally takes 5 times as long. I have no idea whose idea it was to switch from what they had been using in their personal app but it’s absolutely awful. Literally every other banking app I’ve ever used (>10) shows you the actual transaction in the transaction screen without needing to click through. Probably just going to use a different bank for my business now... it’s simply not sustainable for a simple job to take this much extra time.

I gave two stars only because of the support I got from Katie, one of the helpers on the online backing help line. UmpquaCommercial leaves a LOT to be desired. Half the time I can’t get into my account, it won’t just take my password from my vault, and it just randomly stops using facial recognition! I wish they would get the begs out of this! I have been waiting over a year for things to change! I must say it did work better before the merger, so I am hoping it is just growing pains from that having occurred. Thanks!

So frustrating that more than half the business checks we try to deposit will not work in the Umpqua App. I love Umpqua but UmpquaCommercial is terrible. Have never had the issue with my personal Wells Fargo account and app.

And you do have to click a lot of things to be able to deposit, then when it says there’s an issue with identifying the deposit info on the back, it’s even more frustrating. They really need to get this fixed.

This is far from a BofA, Chase, or Schwab mobile app. Very difficult to make mobile deposits. Either it can’t see the endorsement, which sometimes you can just take a pic of just the endorsement for the “back” photo, or it can’t read the account info on the front of the check, and I haven’t found a solution for that. Why not just accept the best out of 3 photos or something and email me if no one can read the photo? I already get 2 emails every time I try to deposit a check. Why make this difficult?

Humorously, the drive through people just tell you to bring the check in. Seems UmpquaCommercial is a 3rd rate citizen, at best, in the over all Umpqua Bank system.

This is a business app, so one could expect that there may be more checks to deposit vs a personal account. However, you end up having to press almost a dozen buttons per check deposit = super inefficient and UmpquaCommercial is slow. Moreover, it does not read the backside of checks with a (new) deposit stamp that businesses use so you have to physically sign the check. Just know this before you hit the road expecting to have an easy way to still run your business virtually. It will work but given the awesomeness of other similar platforms that run faster with quicker processing (11 clicks per check??), it’s hard to be impressed even a little.
Overall, this special business app is actually the personal app without any modifications so it’s not business friendly. Think it through better Umpqua, ask business owners their input.

Been using UmpquaCommercial for a couple of years. Clunky and erratic. Slowly getting better. Still nowhere close to something like Schwab Bank or CitiBank apps. Depositing multiple checks is a pain because you have to go through the intro screens each check instead of just moving right into depositing another check into the same account. Latest version seems to have broken the account screen/tab on both devices I’ve tried it on. Just shows empty or briefly shows the spinning icon then empty.

UmpquaCommercial is great for viewing balance and managing remote deposits. I would personally like access to quickly locate my routing and account number when viewing my account balance. I would also like the ability to link my business, personal and mortgage accounts in one view (rather than multiple apps).

Overall this service is okay but very often the back side of the check where the endorsement is, is rejected. Some times it takes 4 to 5 takes which can be frustrating. It is still better than having to drive 10 miles to the nearest Umpqua bank to make a deposit.

Your online system is a bit difficult to navigate especially trying to figure out where to go to make a transfer. You could make this a lot better in my idea.

This is a great great app and works as it should but would be nice to have fingerprint access as their personal banking app does.
This is really just a nit pick though-Umpqua is an incredible bank and I couldn’t be happier!

I really appreciate the personal service from my local branch and UmpquaCommercial is the perfect compliment. Thanks for making it easy to be a customer even as my needs change and transactions get more complicated!

This us the best bank and best biz banking App there is. Over 25 years I’ve had 5 business banks—big and smaller—but service evaporated as soon as we were “signed up.” Umpqua is the real deal though...didn’t really believe would ever find it, but can’t say how glad we are!!!

The mobil deposit Part of the business app is not intuitive or user friendly.
It would be clearer if UmpquaCommercial prompted "use" or "cancel" once each picture is taken.

I love UmpquaCommercial . Makes my life much easier when I’m out and about for my business and personal. Only wish there was no service charge when transferring $ to accounts through UmpquaCommercial
Overall. Love the bank. I’ve been with you since 2004 or so.

1. Need to add ASAP the function which will allow to me finds between accounts

2. Add a function to be able to send wires and ACH from mobile

3. More user management functions and simplicity has to be integrated into UmpquaCommercial

Love using UmpquaCommercial to deposit checks remotely! However, I do it infrequently enough that I have to go through the help menu each time as to me it’s not intuitive to press the ‘+’ menu behind which the button is to photograph the front and back of the check. Just wish the deposit button were in the front menu.
