Taziki's Cafe Reviews

The restaurant, its food and employees, is great. TazikisCafe is just the opposite. It is sooo frustrating to use. The wording about substituting a side for the salad is confusing. You can’t add the special instructions because it won’t let you type anything. I tried multiple times on different menu items. I clicked on the scan your credit card option and that sent TazikisCafe into a never ending loading mode. I had to close out and reopen TazikisCafe and start all over. I hate this for the restaurant because the impression and frustration you get from TazikisCafe creates a negative experience (and you have just the opposite experience when you deal with the restaurant in person). But in today’s world, especially with the virus situation, restaurants can’t afford to have a poorly functioning app or depend primarily on face to face interaction. If it hadn’t been Father’s Day and Taziki’s being his request for lunch, I would have gone to a different app and ordered from a different restaurant. Looks like several other users feel the same way. An app should increase ease of ordering and improve efficiency and accuracy versus having to place an order by phone.

The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is because you can successfully submit an online order. The interface is one of the most awful interfaces I have seen on an app. You should pay a developer who knows how to design an iOS app within TazikisCafe guidelines. The current iteration looks like it was designed for iOS 8. Adding auto layout for iPhones with larger screens and the ability to enter contact and ccard info from a password manager or Apple Pay would go a long way. Deleting TazikisCafe for now. I’m surprised that Apple even approved it in the first place. I love Taziki’s but TazikisCafe makes your company look bad.

Please bring back the options to have a topping on the side for a salad in a feast order. The new app only offers all or none at all. Also, the “Reorder” function is convenient, but could be improved by allowing items to be added to a reorder. Sometimes we may want to add dessert or an appetizer but not have to start a new order.

When I first downloaded it, I placed my order and then when the order was ready it would display a button that I would tap to let them know I’m here. It would ask my car and color of my car. Does not do that anymore. I have to call when I get to the restaurant. It also does not give an option to add things like olives l if the meal you are ordering does not come with olives. You should be able to add any extras, even if it does not come with it. I love olives on the pasta, but I can’t add them.

TazikisCafe is in need of work. The order process could be much clearer and simplified. When you go to check out, you’re given the option to scan your card for payment. It’s awful. After quite a few minutes trying to scan the card I just wanted to cancel and manually enter my information. I had to exit out of my order multiple times just to manually type my card number in. This is the type of app that makes someone not want to order online.

I just deleted TazikisCafe because I can’t do anything that I normally do when I order from Taziki's. I always get a specific sauce, I would be happy to pay for the sauce, but TazikisCafe does not allow that. I want to be able to use Apple Pay or PayPal, can’t do that.
Also if you ever accidentally click back...you must start all over with your order.
Very frustrating UI overall.
For now I’ll keep calling in and talking to the nice folks on the phone and paying in person.

TazikisCafe is terrible. You try to update your information and it fails, you try to reorder a previous order and it says menu item no longer available…but then you go and place a new order containing the SAME item. No transparency with rewards status either. I do a lot of caterings and due to poor performance of TazikisCafe (and website) I often have to choose other places, which stinks because my fam likes to eat Taziki’s!!!

I met the owner, Charlie when he was first opening this Taziki’s. He was standing under a tent giving out samples of his soon to be famous chocolate cake and baklava. I was hooked! The food is freshly made and consistently delicious! The food is always healthy, they have great prices with very friendly staff! No, I wasn’t paid to say these things! I am just a faithful customer!!!

Delicious and healthy food in a very clean and comfortable happy environment! It feels like I’m going home to see my family!

Actually the whole team that is regular there at TAzikis is always welcoming!

We ordered off TazikisCafe every single Sunday for a year but for the last two months we can’t order off TazikisCafe . I have to call in our order every week. Every week I tell them it’s not working. We have emailed corporate marketing and updated TazikisCafe and rebooted our phones and computers and still doesn’t work. Even when I go in and recreate the order it dies on the payment screen. So incredibly frustrating 😤😤😤. Nobody seems to give a hoot at Taziki’s

Repeatedly freezes and crashes, sometimes while adding items to the cart, sometimes when selecting the pickup time at checkout. When TazikisCafe freezes, it also dumps the entire cart, even if I’m signed in, so the entire order has to be redone in order to try again. I tried multiple times to place an order and was never able to make it all the way through checkout.

Seems TazikisCafe will work for a while and then updates are made to make it better and bam it doesn’t work again. Updates made 1 day ago and now it crashes if I try to edit something in an order. Please fix it entirely and stop updating and making it worse.

TazikisCafe doesn’t allow you to save favorites! It only allows you to pick from past orders. Not helpful when ordering for a family where someone may want something different every time. TazikisCafe keeps logging me out when I close it. Having to log back in every time is frustrating too. The here now button still doesn’t work for me.

TAZIKIS is fantastic. Never a bad meal. Even their tea is perfect. Cookies are excellent. I could pay a mortgage note with the money I’ve spent at TAZIKIS. I can’t say a bad word about the place, food, or service. But TazikisCafe....wow....please do something about it....don’t give me reason to be negative about one of the best parts of my daily life!!

While the new app is pleasing to the eye - it has constant problems. I tried to order over and over this weekend to get to the end for it to say there’s a problem. I finally had to call the store ( after ordering my meal through DoorDash) so I could customize my gyro. I was told they had calls all day with problems with TazikisCafe . Definitely needs more work

Even after the most recent update there are still major problems. I still have to enter in my CVV every single time I placed an order. Please use Apple Pay. I also have issues where I am actually signed in but I can’t place my usual order because it says I’m not signed in. I still have to tell the cashier that it was an app order or else I can’t find the order. Because apparently there’s a difference between a phone call and an app order.

I visit this restaurant on a regular basis, so I thought it would be worth it to have TazikisCafe . The layout and usability is fine, but it just doesn’t work. I tried to order with it, but it crashed twice, and I had to restart my order both times. I ended up using the mobile website like I usually do. I’ll just use the web browser until TazikisCafe gets stabilized.

I gave TazikisCafe 2 stars because it is easy to use. However, when an order is placed it doesn’t give you the time that your food will be ready. You have to log into your email associated with TazikisCafe to get your estimated time the food will be ready.

You cannot check a text message or go to another app with this, without losing your entire order. Dumb.

Someone said they need to find a developer who can actually write an app. I agree, but I would add that they need to first make the current developer apologize to everyone who has ever used TazikisCafe in person. They would be better off not having an app.

I have a few favorites that I don’t stray from often. It takes only a few clicks and I’ve placed my order.

Attention developers: this is a mobile app and should therefore interact with the users mobile phone. Having to hand enter all personal data and payment information is ridiculous. The name and address and phone fields should recognize that I have my contact information stored. Payment data Fields should recognize that I have Apple Pay on my phone or give me an opportunity to scan the card or give me an opportunity to use the microphone so that I can just say the card number instead of typing in 16 digits.

TazikisCafe is a winner! This has come a long way from previous versions. Love that it has the touchid integration, a clean and easy to use design, and tracks rewards! Big fan of Tazikis and now their easy to use app. Curbside pickup option is great and would love to have an Apple Pay option to make it even easier to pay! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Clearly listened to the feedback and made a winner! Easy to use app, generous rewards program that adds up fast (basically $10 free every $125), and you can earn/use at any store. Awesome!
