I got 1000 credits for free, my first report, an important detail in the prompt was missed by the ai and the report that took over 30 minutes to generate and almost 800 was completely wrong and useless. I can’t get the credits back or do anything about it. This just show how the credit based search isn’t really a good choice.

I’ve have manus access 2 day after it released. The high effort mode which u have to pay 199 a month is garbage. I got context id to long after it getting to step 3-5 out of 9 multiple times. TBH id just use DeepSeek v3 to create a detailed prompt of what you want to make then use Gemini or Claude 3.7 on vscode or cursor to build your application. 199 a month i wouldnt pay 20$ a month for it. Plus if your ai make a mistake by not following instructions you dont get the credits used refunded and you’ll have to use more credits to fix the mistake it makes 1000 credits will only really cover 1 prompt the 3900 will cover at max 3. 3 outputs per month

I used up the initial credits (about $10) doing tasks that could have been accomplished in Claude in few-shot prompts. $40/mo for ten-ish tasks isn’t worth it and $200/mo is silly. They have examples in their documentation that tackle complex multi-domain research. They are rated at like 200 tokens but I’ll ask for simple things and it’ll chew up 400 credits providing me a list of local advertising avenues.

I’ll keep my account open but I’m going to circle back in 6 months to 1 year to see if they figured out the money situation. If it’s still like this I’ll have appreciated it as a novel tech foundation that’ll be iterated on by someone who can engineer a way to use tokens more efficiently.

I got off the waitlist and have Manus a try and was excited by its potential. The initial research report seemed promising, but I quickly burned through my initial credits with just one request. At $40/mo, I could make around 4 deep research requests and it doesn’t differentiate itself from multiple similar tools. I can’t imagine what some of the computer use examples would cost. I’m a gpt pro user and not against paying for AI but after seeing how fast the initial credits went I’d be afraid to use it without a lot of prompt planning. I’d love to explore more, but it’s hard to commit with such limited usage.

ManusAI is a good start to be able to accomplish what you need. There are definitely some things missing right now like the ability to set preferences like your start screen, for example. The way “Knowledge” works also isn’t really clear by the UX; I didn’t realize it was asking me these things to be able to set presences for future jobs. If so, there would need to be a flow asking me what knowledge I want to apply to a job and/or a way to categorize Knowledge given that some knowledge I define may apply in some situations but I wouldn’t want it applied in others. Another major thing it could use are Projects where you could define or ideally transfer context and related data to for new sessions. Given these sessions can get huge, there is a good chance you may need to start over so why not make this easier. So, there is work to do on the overall UX and app as a whole. Although the AI is not what I’m reviewing it too needs work but is far ahead of anything else out there. I am sure most of these reviews focus on that but if you want to know if ManusAI is any good; it’s ok. The service is differentiating and ahead of others right now as a solution but not necessarily in any specific way that it executes; but that is another story. It’s great to see this put together to encourage the industry to innovate regardless. Congrats to the team!

This application is absolutely amazing. Today, I had issues with each LLM platform analyzing a large spreadsheet, I thought to share it to Manus as a link from onerdrive; Manus connected and did exactly what I needed done. My only draw back is the option to opt out of training on my data. That’s a standard today. And they don’t allow you to opt out yet. So, I have no idea what they’re doing with my data that I do share.

ManusAI is a tech flex—and I respect that. It spins up an Ubuntu machine, browses the web, compiles a research report, and publishes it to a live website. Super cool… in theory. But in practice? Watching it build a site from scratch felt like a drawn-out magic trick when all I really wanted was the rabbit (a solid report). The core functionality works, but the final output didn’t quite deliver the depth I expected—more summary than substance. Maybe I overshot what AI can do right now, but the showmanship got in the way of the substance. Still, a seriously ambitious tool with big potential.

Manus has some strong features allowing for most responses to be shared accurately based on how it functions versus its competitors.

Advantages:
1. Simple to use prompts appear to be a major advantage.
2 urls are scanned for updated information in near real-time providing accurate results

3. Prompts and suggested clarifications allow for improved clarifications, and fine tuning of results. Turning interactions into a conversational state when querying results.

4. Accurate data curation provide masterful results.

Cons:
1. New credit feature is expensive A single question could use up all your credits for a month! This needs major improvements.
2. prompt generation for website coding did not produce a working product during multiple tests, Tweaking was required. Did not follow frameworks completely.
3. Response time, several responses during testing ran over 20 minutes and were not completed wasting credits without a response being completed.

Overall: Insanely strong capabilities exist for this product as it evolves, the usage has been amazingly simple to follow, offers historical results and is highly improved as long as costs are not an issue.

So far this product has been a great example of how AI should function. This product is still my favorite tool and will only get better with time. A+ product!

Only thing would change is faster speed and usage calculation model.

I love this program. It sure uses tokens quickly though. The team needs to x5 the token offers in order to make it more useful generally. Just an idea

I like Manus, if I HAVE to nitpick, there are certain limitations to its coding strengths and other small hiccups with its browser but think as the platform grows it will be much better. I also wish there were more credits available but I get it.

Made a fully functional website with login features and secure database in about an hour. That’s from the first thought to the finished product. It looks nice, feels nice, plays nice. So yeah, I like it. For now, at least. Time shall tell. Further data needs gathered.

Just your average ChatGPT wrapper. I actually think it does basic addition and subtraction better than GPT-4.5 AND SuperGrok 3 Beta. Be warned, ManusAI might make you think you can drop out of college and be just fine, but don’t be fooled—you’re always gonna be dumb as a rock unless you have a undergraduate degree on your resume.

It is so helpful in getting outputs and takes the time away from the small stuff so you can focus on what matters
