Wanted: update

Just bought a 2018 Titan XD Pro4x, which I love. But Nissan, which this app sent me about a dozen emails telling me to download, doesn’t work because the iOS in my six month old phone is too new for Nissan version. I seriously laughed at the rep when he told me that I would have to wait until they test the new iOS and the compatibility with the this app Connect app. Everything else tech wise works. Just not the Connect app which controls which apps are available on my new truck’s infotainment system. I have worked with large companies and helped them develop apps. Once rolled out an update could be done for about $5000. this app can’t spare $5,000 to make an update on the tech for millions of dollars of vehicles? Especially when, “the most technology you own is now in your driveway...” this app’s words, not mine. Spend the money. Hire a developer. Keep the Connect app current. Or scrap the system and stop destroying the reputation of what are otherwise great vehicles. As I am typing this the last update to the Connect App was over 11 months ago. There are apps that get weekly updates just to squash bugs and keep current. Guess those companies make a lot more profit than this app does and can afford to pay developers to create the updates weekly. I hope someone from this app reads this and rolls out a new update soon. Thanks

This App does not connect to the cars system

Yesterday we drove our Nisssn Titan to church. I tried over and over again to connect my phone through the USB because I wanted to listen to one of my connect apps and let the phone change ge at the same time. Well, needless to say, the this app connect app never connected to the car. I unplugged my phone and plugged it back in (I did this at least 15 times or so) but never got a connection. The NissanConnect app never worked but the truck finally allowed me to listed to one of my music apps through the USB but not the one I wanted to listen too. Apple just updated their phones to ios12 and this is when I noticed that the car refuse to connect to Nissan . I also noticed that it looks like it’s been a year since this app updated their app. Maybe it’s time to update your app this app my truck is a 2017 model and it should work with the lastest iPhones. Your system is old and outdated. Please fix so I can listen to my music when I desire. Don’t ignore this review. Please read this and fix the the problem.

Won’t Connect

Does anyone else find it funny that Nissan is called this app “Connect” yet clearly the biggest complaint is that it won’t “connect”? Wish I had read the reviews before downloading and wasting my time. I just assumed Nissan would work, you know it being the year 2018 and all. I’m just shocked. Shocked that with all the technology in today’s world that this app can’t get this whole car/phone/app thing figured out. Well obviously they don’t really even care since they haven’t updated Nissan in a year and considering Nissan has a 1 star rating you’d think they would make this a priority as clearly it needs fixed. Anyhow, I’m done wasting my time with this, it’s obvious the issues and also obvious that this app is not going to address them. They should really just delete Nissan and so called features altogether and try and save some face. At least then people wouldn’t be let down by thinking they’re getting something and then never even being able to connect to it. Such a disappointment.

Open letter to Nissan

this app, Lets face it. There are millions of consumers that love this app products and buy out of pure enlightenment that Pandora and Facebook apps are utilized in your products. I have read over half of the reviews and it seems you have one problem, updating this freaking app. I understand there are countless updates with IPhones. Guess what, they are fulfilling a demand and doing it so frequently that requires you to hire more trained support to keep up. This is my second this app vehicle and was elated to know that my apps worked (to last a short time). You may see a decline in sales due to the ineffectiveness of services you provide to your loyal customers. Please, I urge you to keep up with the growing trend of technology as you may see your company slowly decline to a fade in the near future. I not only ask of this from myself, but for future tech savvy citizens as well . It is my strong recommendation to my children not to purchase a this app, but to enjoy other brands as they may be more satisfying.

Not sure what to think

I am not really sure what Nissan is supposed to do. Whatever it is, it doesn’t do it. What I know is that I was able to add a vehicle but once we traded it for a better specimen a few days later, I cannot add my new vehicle. I can’t get rid of my old vehicle either, but I was able to cancel the “subscription”. I’m not sure what I was actually subscribed to.

All I want to do is log into my (single) this app account, have it show me the same cars that are registered there, and give me some fun & useful features to enhance what is already on board the vehicle (which is great btw).

As far as Nissan design, don’t even get me started. The vibe is 2000-ish, and the cryptic messages that show up are downright confusing. If I didn’t know better, I’d say Nissan was designed by a group of cyber terrorists that want to inflict frustration and stress on overprivileged car owners.

Update desperately needed

App has potential but is in need of a serious update. Would be nice if you don’t have to login every time you want to access something inside Nissan . Why not setup finger print like everything else uses these days. Also took forever to find the actual place you control your vehicle... could be way more users friendly. Come on this app you are an amazing company please invest a few dollars to make a great product just like you do with your vehicles. Who wants to spend $25 a month for a garbage app. $120 a year sounds better but also not necessary. Again your a leader in technology act like it and provide it for a reasonable price. You shouldn’t have to charge so much. More people might actually use it if it was a better product for a reasonable price. Just a thought!!!

Nun the less, thank you for a great vehicle.

App is useless

While I’m unlike many people here who had connectivity as one of their highest priorities in a purchase of a new car, I did want something that would allow me hands-free calling and texting, and that works 95% and 70% of the time respectively.

But Nissan , yuck! Every time I connect my phone via usb it wants to open/login to the this app app. The first couple of times I allowed it but to effect. I’ve created an acct (and rechecked several times) but it won’t login. It seems like an exercise in futility.

At this point, my family has outgrown my cute little Rogue :( and my hubby keeps pushing to move to something bigger. Unfortunately, it looks like that won’t be this app because he and my kids are very interested in the connectivity and space that other makes have to offer.

100% absolutely useless and pathetic

Bought a 2017 Titan Platinum Reserve pickup, and sadly found it doesn't support Apple CarPlay. You would literally have to get a Masters degree in "this app Connect Services" to try and understand how the pickup's onboard console, Bluetooth/wireless and mobile apps are supposed to work, and even then you would still be unable to use this trash. The phone support reps treat you like you're a stupid fool.
The entire system and apps are extremely buggy, and unintuitive. The user interface on the display & app is horrible and laggy. Its complete garbage. This is probably the worst technology implementation that has ever been produced. And finally, the this app dealer reps just throw up their hands when I ask for help...they are more confused and flustered than I am.

Crap

That’s it. Nissan is crap. I’ve already spent 45 mins on the phone with someone one night trying to get my car added and myself made the authorized user. Went to try and set it up today and nothing. Nissan is confusing and doesn’t work properly. You have to login over and over again and even then, you still get nowhere. I try to access my apps and, despite all the trouble I’ve gone through to get his stupid service to work, I still get “This vehicle is not registered for the current smartphone user...” but I AM! I’m staring at it on my phone saying I’m an authorized user then the car itself tells me I’m not. Pretty much fed up with this nonsense. They need to make some serious changes to this God awful app.

NISSAN YOU MAKE TOOO MUCH MONEY, NOT TO KEEP A SIMPLE APP UPDATE!!!! SHAME ☝🏼

My daughter just purchased her first car. 2015 this app Sentra and She has Your App downloaded on her IPhone Max XS (the latest version Thank You) so there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR Nissan TO REPEATEDLY REFUSE TO LOGIN HER INTO HER ACCOUNT, In which it made her Register for again and again and again. Every time I help her myself help her it SHOWS HER NAME AS BEING SIGNED IN BUT TO GO ANY FURTHER YOU GOT TO RELOG IN TO EACH PORTAL/WINDOW YOU TRY TO OPEN AND THEN.... ERROR..... WRONG USERNAME/EMAIL OR PASSWORD REPEATEDLY OVER AND OVER AGAIN.... and we try not to LOCK UP THE ACCOUNT BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO BE RUDE TO A CUSTOMER REP THAT ANSWER THE PHONE ABOUT THIS CRAP!!!
PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. I EXPECTED MORE FROM THIS COMPANY AS I HAVE OWNED A this app NISIMO AND IT WAS AWESOME 😎.... Again You Make Toooo Much Money 💰 To Not Have A Sufficient Application That Represent Your Co-Operation!

Best Regards
this app Owner(?)

Welcome and Congratulations on purchasing your new Nissan

Sorry to be the one to inform you that 99% of you will have a phone or an operating system update that will NOT function with your New this app and its infotainment you just paid a few thousand dollars for. It's really quite frustrating because this infotainment system could be very useful.

I suppose I could go spend $200-$1000 on a new phone that is "supposedly" compatible and then sacrifice any further updates - that may give me another 50/50 shot at it actually functioning the way that it should. -- What do you think?? Is it really worth it??

To those of you that have a phone which is compatible and "actually" functions then 🎉🎊CONGRATULATIONS🎊🎉 YOU STRUCK THE this app INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM LOTTERY!!

Not at all useful. Deleted.

I had used it before but it didn’t have anything to help with the low volume problem that our iPhones, either of them, connected via usb cable has with our 2016 this app Murano. The this app takes over control of our phone on our iPhones, limiting what we can do on our phone. One of those things is volume control, so low it is a problem. If you turn it up so you can hear a little of your phone’s music, once you select another audio source it will blast your ears off. Poor App and poor interconnect with the iPhone.

Isn’t worth that space it takes up on our phones. Either last year when we first tested it or now. Deleting it again.

Garbage

Nissan is a joke. It’s been out for five years and it’s still the worst app I’ve ever used. It has never worked. When you shell out gobs of money for a vehicle and this is the rubbish they provide for their media center in the vehicle something is wrong. this app won’t fix this now either, the 2019 models will now have Apple CarPlay so anyone that bought a vehicle from this app in the last five years and go pound sand and have a non-functional useless media center in their vehicle that they spent hard earned money on. Grow up this app! Your customer service and support is among the worst in the industry and it’s becoming more and more known. People aren’t going to put up with it for much longer.

Doesn’t work!!

After finally getting an account set up to be able to use my own radio in my truck, to then have this junk app. Nissan keeps telling me that IHeartRadio needs to be installed on my phone, even though it’s already there play in the Bluetooth!! When I click yes to install, says not available in my country... again even though it’s already on my U.S. phone. Just spent the money and get an after market radio.

Terrible App

2018 this app Titan XD. I have been on the phone with the this app Connect folks (not native English speakers) for a total of 4-5 hours. During my first oil change at the dealership they ran an update on the Connect interface which took another 3 1/2 hours. After the update the Connect still doesn’t work on my phone, Safari, or on a desktop. Upon calling Connect customer service I was told that they found an error message. No s$i@!!!! I was told to take it back to the dealer and have he dealer call them to troubleshoot. I’m not sure how long my free subscription is but is safe to assume that I will not be paying for future service.

Are you listening Nissan

How are there so many reviews, yet this app hasn’t changed a thing. Just bought a 75K Armada Platinum Reserve and it doesn’t support CarPlay!? What? I checked and apparently one or two other models support it, but not their top of the line vehicle?

And when you buy a new car and want to set it up, don’t expect to be able to use your new cars features for a week because this app can’t seem to figure out how to transfer new buyer information to their App.

Love the car, but this technology is virtually useless. Get with the times this app. Especially if you want to be competitive in the 65-75k range for cars.

Works

I was very hesitant after reading the reviews; but it works well with my 2019 Frontier. Sometimes Nissan doesn’t connect right away which is annoying, but usually just takes a reset.

My one complaint is they should roll all of the features into one app. I agree with other reviews, It would be nice to see service history, apps, navigation etc. in one place. Other than that, it’s works great.

Awful app.

I already deleted this waste of space,

My prior review didn't show up. I guess i was too specific about why Nissan is just the worst. Ok! Ill be vague this time.

For the record I RENTED a 2019 Altima for one month to see if i wanted to buy one and downloaded Nissan and paired it with the car ...

If you are reading this! Nissan is awful. If this is the example of of customer service in this app; one should absolutely NOT buy this app products whether it's a car or App!

It offer's ZERO value added to the iPhone ecosystem. Seems to be focused on google apps that don't value privacy. Hey guys; people who buy Apple aren't big google fans! Hello? We pay extra for security and privacy. Google and Facebook ...... Bahahahhahaha!

Congratulations on taking my previous review down. I just test drove a Toyota RAV 4, a Honda CHR, and a BMW X4; guess which company is not on the list :-D

You should listen your customers; current, and potential. Good riddence!

What’s the point? Nissan Connect App never works!!

As many others have mentioned on here, Nissan is nothing but an antiquated, non-functioning, frustration-generating piece of junk! Nothing ever works on Nissan. Never has, and probably never will. This is the second this app that I’ve owned, and I love my Rogue. I’d love to be able to update the maps and GPS along with me as the new owner of this vehicle. Think that can happen without frustration? Nope! For the love of all that is holy, please either fix/update your app or don’t make it a necessary component to the technology in your vehicles.

Crap

Wow! I have had my nv200 for about two weeks and am thinking of trading it in. If I could get my money back, I would jump at the chance. It is a great little rig that is perfectly suited to my needs. However....
The electronics package that I bought has completely soured the purchase. Useless with Apple products. IPhone 8 doesn’t connect through Nissan . iPod Touch doesn’t work. I had to dig out a 10 year old iPod just so I can get some music. Amazing!!
I am very discouraged and frustrated with the whole transaction and will probably never even look at another this app product.

Slow, slow, slow

It takes FOREVER for Nissan to update. And if you use the remote climate control before a short trip, don’t expect to be able to use it again for the return trip. The only option is to turn off climate control. You might be tempted to think that selecting that option, even though it isn’t on to begin with, might reset the status and allow you to remote start the climate control but you’d be wrong. Come on, this app! You can do better. (Using current version of app with a 2016 this app Leaf - at time of review, app hadn’t been updated in over 4 months)
