Incredible game! Original & inventive! Loved it!

10/10! This game was beautiful both in animation and in story, it was challenging enough to be fun and rewarding without being maddening, and it was full of creative ideas and puzzles that I haven’t seen in other games of this genre. While I would love if these games never ended, it was a good length, definitely made me feel like I got my moneys worth. I will definitely play this again in the future, it was that good! Definitely recommend you download this right now, you won’t regret it!

Great but…

I’ll start with, I loved the game. Great graphics, challenging, and kept my attention. But… I feel like it wasn’t worth the $5.99 to purchase. I finished the game in two days. I only played a couple hours each time. I think if the game was longer, had different “episodes” or even different “games” the brother and sister play, would for sure make it worth it. But I’m kinda left feeling jipped. That’s why I couldn’t give a full 5 stars. I couldn’t give it 3 stars because I did enjoy the game. So, if you’re looking for something to play for an extended amount of time, you’ll be disappointed.

Beautiful, fun, engaging

The story and characters are great, the art amazing, the time spent in this world… not enough. You can finish this game in an evening but it’s time we’ll spent. Imagine you’re renting a funny interesting cartoon. There’s a lot of play for the short time you have it. It’s just not a game that is days of play. I loved my time here, I wish it could have been more. The montage to get to the frog towers could have turned into some side quests. Some of them looked fun! And the melding could have been some crazy puzzle to fix yourselves. It just ended too quick. But like I said, it’s short but worth the ride!

Charming and Fun

I read a few reviews that thought it was too short of game play and there shouldn’t be a $charge for it. I’m an advanced player, and have played a lot of different genres. I tried this one for a change of pace and and it was from Snap Break. It was delightful, challenging enough, and actually gave me several hours of game play as I did one or two episodes a day. Definitely worth the $ just for the quality and the personality behind it. I would absolutely recommend!

What a lovely game!

It’s just one of those casual games for all ages that is actually well designed and palatable. I would keep paying for games like this, that only come few and far between. Thank you for setting the standard for well designed IOS games. I’m glad this wasn’t on Apple Arcade and is available to all.

Super fun! Love the puzzles. Love the storyline. Big thanks for the ending. It felt almost meta, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t wait for more games like these to come out. It was simple, clean, and elegant!

So fun but short

Loved this game so much. Kept my interest and the puzzles and graphics were fantastic and creative. Even my husband enjoyed helping me
Play this game when I was overthinking the puzzles. I was so sad when it ended and I looked for additional stories. I hope they add more fun episodes and realize they have so much wiggle room to take this brother and sister on more adventures! Please think of extending this game with bonus levels or additional adventures. We want more!!

This game is a must-have!

Lost in Play is an absolute gem of an iOS game that deserves every one of its five stars! From the captivating storyline to the stunning graphics and immersive gameplay, LostinPlay kept me hooked for hours on end. The clever puzzles and challenging levels provided just the right amount of difficulty, making each victory all the more rewarding. The developers have clearly poured their hearts into creating this masterpiece, and it shows in every aspect of the game. Highly recommended!

Joyful and Reminiscent

I’m not one to spend money on games but after I played the free trial - I was hooked. This game is childish and perfectly challenging in the best way, thinking about a child’s imagination and how it has the ability to come to life. The price was incredibly fair seeing how much there was to do within the game. It was easy but just challenging enough to make and fun and the animation was beautiful. I definitely recommend this game and paying past the free trial!!!!!!!

Great Game - Deceptive trailer

While I did enjoy what I played, 2/3 of the scenes in the trailer are either not in the game at all, or in a cut scene montage near the end, such as the very first shot in LostinPlay description of riding the giant bug.

In the story you are shown a map to follow, but once you get half way, the rest is fast forwarded to the final level. For this reason and the trailer, I was expecting a lot more content.

All this is to say - I wanted more! Wish I didn’t finish it in less than 2 hours. This game would be perfect for a new game plus mode.

AMAZING GAME i just wish you didn’t have to pay

I love this game when I first played it I was hooked but then when I reached the point where you have to pay to go on I was so sad because some people can’t pay and I absolutely loved this game I really wish that you didn’t have to pay to go on but otherwise this game is totally amazing so if you are the kind of person who can pay to play this game is perfect but if you are someone who doesn’t want to pay then this is not the game for you.

So much fun

I loved this game. Sure I got stuck on a few puzzles but with the help of the internet I always got past. I especially love that you can get hints for free, and you don’t have to buy coins or watch an ad. That was a really great aspect. Yes, it was a free download and then you had to buy the full game, but I actually really liked that. It let me see the game and see if it was something I would want to spend money on. Very worth my time.

By

Cute but too short..

I really enjoyed the free portion of the game and was considering buying the full game, but seeing that I’d already done 1/3 of the game in about half an hour, it seems like a steep price for such a brief game.. If there was a way to go further with ads instead of paying $6 I’d absolutely do that, but it’s just a little too much for what could only be another hour of play. That said, the free part is VERY cute and I enjoyed it!

Amazing!

I’ve been playing point and click games for over a decade and this game is really good! From the animation style to the actual puzzles! The puzzles are very straightforward for the most part and though some of the games take longer it doesn’t take away from the game! The concept of it is also cool! I recommend and honestly wish I could find games similar to this one!

By

For me worth the price of admission

This is a non-verbal adventure that brings you back to childhood. Remember when a tree was a skyscraper or the fallen log was a fierce dragon to fight? Lost In Play takes you back to those feelings. The puzzles are difficult enough to keep your internet but not something you have to rage quit for a couple. The story and twist are so well thought through with a whimsical-Fey like world of wonder.

Challenging but fun puzzle game

I love puzzle games, and this one is not just beautiful, but exquisitely challenging (but not impossible to solve)! There's a lot of trial and error, variety of puzzles, and fun mixed in this game. To move forward in the game, you don't need a lot of direction, but solving the puzzles are a perfect balance of challenge and intrigue! I don't use the hints very often, but even they don't give explicit answers.

By

Well, that was…odd 😅

But it was great! Puzzles were just challenging enough to be difficult without being frustrating.
Music and animation were top notch. I felt the game was a good length for the price. It kept me going for a good 3 days. A little over that, actually. Parts of it were kind of gross, (like the lady feeding her earwax to birds!) but I guess that’s what you get when you delve into a kid’s imagination!

Amazing but Short

This game is so fun, the animation is incredible and honestly, I loved every thing about it. I used to play Poptropica and it gave me the same sense of play. However, I paid 5.99 for the full game, and while it was fun and I know I’m paying for the animation, I finished the whole game in 3 days. And I don’t play the whole day, just when I had free time. I hope there’s more updates to come with more games to play so my 5.99 feels more worth it. I know it may not seem like a lot but I NEVER buy games.

I’ve never been so engaged in a game on my phone

I’ve always loved playing puzzle-type games on Xbox, ps4, and Nintendo. I never found a game on my phone I felt so connected to. The characters are incredibly lovable and charming. The settings and thematic elements are thoughtfully organized and whimsical. I hope they make a sequel to this game eventually , I would definitely play it.

Review

When it works, it’s great! But recently it hasn’t been working. I got to the underwater level and when the fish gave me the yellow light the next episode would not load and it took me back to the very beginning where they fell into the boat again. I tried to play the chapter again but every time i got to the end it would crash. Disappointing because I really wanted to play the game today but I don’t want to play the same part over and over

A work of art and a joy to play

Nothing else like it. The creativity is amazing, the storytelling beautiful and hilarious. The characters are great, the language is clever and expressive. The music is catchy and never tiresome. And the puzzles themselves are a perfect level of challenging and innovative.

I can’t rate this highly enough, and can’t wait to see the next offering from this team.

By

innovative and creative

the game is so much fun in a tale of two siblings trying to get home after a magical world crashes into their own. the art style was so simple yet they took the game to new and exciting heights with characters that are so endearing and a storyline you can’t help but be invested in. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

the creators and the team behind them seem so genuine as in the credits, it seems like a small group of individuals really got together to make such an experience possible. i can’t wait to see if they’ll release another game and how they stretch the boundaries of storytelling and gaming!

Fun game but over a bit quick

I’m not a big gamer so this suited me. I like puzzle games and I don’t do great with fast reaction games now that I’m getting very old. I love the charm of the game, the pace is just about right. Having said that, I was done in maybe 6-7 hours of actual game play. I bought it on Saturday and it was done by Monday and I only played it for a couple of hours in the evening each day.

Would obviously prefer a longer game

I was shocked

I was not too sure if I would like it so I went for the free trial and just wow, I was having so much fun I purchased the full game right then and there, and having beaten it I can say a few things, 1 if you want a really long game than this is not for you, this game only took me and my friends about 5 hours to beat but nonetheless those were some of the best hours I have spent gaming and I have played ton of video games, and also if you want great and not frustrating puzzles then this is the right game.

By

Good game, but...

A world of weird creatures, a journal on which the hidden notes are revealed by blue light, young siblings, the sister trapped in the end of the story and they having to be together to finally go back to reality? Am I the only one who is thinking of Gravity Falls? Even the man in the very beginning reminds me of the Shmebulock guy(??) Also some scenes in LostinPlay store video are not in the game. Despite this (critically) it's still a very good game though. Maybe some DLC or even a LIP 2 is possible! Hope you will do better!

Hooked at first sight!

As soon as I opened this game, I knew at first sight it was nothing ordinary. It had an adorable cartoony and childish artstyle, there were extremely smooth animations, and everything was so well kept and organized! When I started playing, the only change was me just liking it even more! I highly recommend this game to anyone longing for something to do; it’s a real amazing boredom buster!

I love it! Five stars.

By

A Little Disappointing

Is it super fun, creative and beautiful? Yes? Is it worth $6? No it’s not. The game is so short, I completed it in 3 hours. I would love to see more levels added but I’ve played free games longer than this. If there won’t be more levels added I would say $2.99 would be a better price. I understand that you have an entire team to pay and the graphics are very high quality, but as a player, I wish I would’ve kept my $6 and spent it on something a little more fulfilling.

More please!

This game has easily become a cherished favorite. The art style and animation is so pleasing to the eye- the puzzles were challenging yet enjoyable- the voice acting being grumbles and emotive sounds was brilliant and funny…. And don’t even get me started on the goblins, I absolutely adored them and desperately need more goblin villages and shenanigans…I could go on and on
But I’ll finish by saying thank you for making this game, you’ve won a fan who is desperate for more<3

Love this game but….

I loved everything about this game. The animation is fantastic, I love how so many items are interactive and the puzzles are fun yet challenging. My only complaint is the game was too short and I paid for it 😞🥺 I beat it in 3 days and now there’s nothing left to play on I t. Disappointed with how quick the game was to beat, but it was really fun while it lasted! Wish there were more games available like this one!

I tried this game, because …

… LostinPlay Store rated it "Game of the Year." I started playing the free to play part and found it refreshing. A bit different than most of the point and click adventures. The cat under the bed made me giggle once the flashlight was shined on it. So far, the puzzles take thought, but aren’t impossible. I was also taken with the fact that the author's kids were his inspiration. I liked that it was straightforward in letting me know that it was a trial and didn’t advertise as free-to-play only to find that a significant part right in the middle of the adventure was cut out leaving me to wonder why I can’t find the key for a certain door or a part for a puzzle. Until I find out at the abrupt end that you have to pay for the full "free-to-play”. Now that I’ve bought the rest of this game, I’m off to do more puzzling!

I never leave reviews. Best game I have EVER played on my phone. Wasn’t expecting how great it was.

This game is absolutely amazing!!! I never leave reviews or purchase apps literally ever. But after playing the free portion, the price wasn’t bad and the game REALLY had me captivated. Worst thing about the game is that it had to end. The puzzles, the style, wow. It was difficult in the best way!! Some things actually took a good bit of thought but were not impossible. It is really really impressive and addicting. Worth the little price it costs 100%. I hope they make more!!! Like a lot more!!! I love point and click games, this is more than that though, seriously give it a try if you like games like that!

Beautiful in every way

I love adventure puzzle games and have played every one I can find. This one really ranks near the top for utilizing a touch screen in a way which feels natural and groundbreaking. I’d put it next to other favorites like Lumino City, Device 6, The Room, and the Rusty Lake series which did the same. The coolest design feature is that it doesn’t feel like a game with cut scenes, it feels like an interactive animated film. It was just joyful to play. And I know we’re all used to free or cheap games which go on forever now, but the quality here is incredible so think of the price as voting for them to make more games like this. ASAP hopefully.

Great story

This is a very good game. The main characters made me laugh. I admire the imagination used to create it, and I like how some puzzles can make you think while others are somewhat easy and can give you a break. It is pay to play however so keep that in mind, I look forward to getting the full game. My one problem so far is that when you are pulling the sword out of the stone you have to really hard, my finger was in pain when I finished. Definitely in my favorite game shelf.

A flawless game

I’ve never said this before about any app, but I feel this is quite literally a flawless game. A reasonable price (no subscriptions!); incredibly imaginative; thoughtful puzzles that are challenging but not so much so they bog the storyline; perfect mechanics. I can’t say enough good things about the pacing of this game; animations and cut/intro scenes are altered if you’re, for example, repeating a challenging section, so the gameplay never really feels repetitive or mired. I’ve been taking my time through it and playing with my kids and am going to be bummed when we finish it. Great work and really a standard iPhone games should be held to.

So cute! So worth it!

Like a few others in the reviews I normally don’t leave any but this game was so cute and fun! After playing what I knew was just a free play of the first few chapters I was in love, the graphics and gameplay was adorable and the checkers was pretty hard for me it took me a minute and I talked myself into buying the full game. I took away a star I wish I could do a half star because I don’t think it was really worth how much it costs but I get there’s reasons why it costs what it does. However, I’m still very happy I bought it. The storyline is super cute. Like another comment I read I hope the creators make more levels possibly with some of the art already made like where did the beetle come from? There’s 2 “awards” in the Game Center that I haven’t unlocked while playing so I may have to play it until I figure it out it says only .9% and 1% have unlocked them so I love the challenge. I had no problems with audio or glitches. I read some of the 1star reviews and I think those people should replay/rewrite/delete their reviews because it’s not the games fault or they’re just complaining you have to buy it. Much love to the creators and artists you guys did such a good job!
