I’ve *now* gone back to read reviews and it turns out a lot of other people are irritated by the developers shady advertising tactics where they go “oh yes, it is free to DOWNLOAD, but it clearly says it has in-app purchases.”
Dear Dev team, you know dang well that “in app purchase” setting is for ADDITIONAL purchases - it is not to be used to a game that is NOT free to play. Period. Stop being dishonest jerks and list the actual price to play the game. Players who want to pay to play will still do so, and YOU will save yourself continued negative reviews like this one.
Take it from someone who’s worked in marketing for nearly 2 decades. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy and right now you are 100% not being honest about the cost of this game and you know it because people have repeatedly told you.

The art is professional, the characters are endearing, the story is fun, the puzzles are fair with hidden hints to find, and even a “cheat” hint system to fall back on if you get stuck. All very nice. But there are WAY too many “find the right path” puzzles, where you’re moving stuff around (tiles, characters, whatever) to get things aligned just so. So many that it felt like lazy design to me. I almost rage quit in a stretch where you have to outmaneuver a monster chasing you on a segmented track. It was fine the first time, but when you beat him, it puts you on a more complicated track to do it again. And then that happens again. And then it happens AGAIN! The second time was unwelcome but tolerable; after that, it was just not fun. And that just one of MANY puzzles with a similar mechanic. It’s a shame, because many of the other puzzles were genuinely creative and satisfying. With that said, this is a promising early effort by a newer studio, and a game just like this but longer and with more puzzle ingenuity would deserve 5 stars. I hope they keep making these and refining the content. I bet their next one will be just right.

This game is so fun, the animation is incredible and honestly, I loved every thing about it. I used to play Poptropica and it gave me the same sense of play. However, I paid 5.99 for the full game, and while it was fun and I know I’m paying for the animation, I finished the whole game in 3 days. And I don’t play the whole day, just when I had free time. I hope there’s more updates to come with more games to play so my 5.99 feels more worth it. I know it may not seem like a lot but I NEVER buy games.
