Can no longer access my app

After the most recent update I can no longer use YourFirstFinancial . YourFirstFinancial Store tells me to update my phone and my phone can no longer be updated. Something needs to be done about no longer being able to access our accounts when we can’t get a phone update. And I tried to get online to access my account through the website and it has locked me out and keeps redirecting me to an application that I can’t use anymore.

When putting information of Bill’s, that I am paying to going back to check them off later, they do not have all the information. I really do not like the new app. I am thinking about changing to a different banking company. I wish you would go back to the old app it had more information and another thing when checking off my register, I wish I could check them off the computer to make sure I have everything checked off. That would be also a good.

This app is horrible since upgrade

Why did you remove my external bank acct with out my permission? Thanks to you, my truck payment was late. I was having so much taken out each week and saving money too. You decided not to update an app that was working just fine and redo it. Thanks to you, my truck payment was taken from my savings. Thanks to you I have to start all over with building my savings. When I tried to get help, no one helped til I got crappy. I’m still waiting on them adding back my one saving acct that I accidentally removed trying to figure out your stupid app. How does YourFirstFinancial have almost 5 stars? All I’ve seen is 2 or below

new bank app always crashes

i switched to this bank because my last bank had a ton of issues including w YourFirstFinancial & online banking. i switched to this bank & everything was fine until summer 2023 when they did a huge update to YourFirstFinancial . since then, about 40-50% of the time i cannot access my account online, on YourFirstFinancial , or on my card because of it being down. it always says “error for first financial bank” and will not load. i’m not sure why my debit card doesn’t work bc YourFirstFinancial isn’t working as that’s never happened to me at any bank. it’s almost every single weekend from friday night to monday morning that i do not have access to my account bc of this. it’s just frustrating because i almost feel the need to switch banks AGAIN

I am amazed at the fact that in 2024 there is still a major bank that doesn’t have the “turn card off” button on their app. If it IS on YourFirstFinancial they sure have it well hidden. Even more pathetic than that is the fact that none of the phone numbers in YourFirstFinancial , on the back of my card, or a number off of google will actually get you through to a live person or even an option to report your card stolen or lost. So someone steals your wallet on Saturday night, they have free reign with your card until Monday morning (or later if there’s a holiday).

We will be changing banks. Have to get my husbands direct deposit changed but this was absolutely an eye opening wake up call for us. This bank and YourFirstFinancial need to come into 2024 with the rest of us. I tried SIX DIFFERENT NUMBERS AND MESSAGED TWO PLACES. Nothing. Good job. Lost our account. I should NOT be stressing over a lost card.

ALL BANK APPS SHOULD HAVE A REPORT LOST OR STOLEN CARD BUTTON THAT IS EASY TO FIND OR A TURN CARD OFF OPTION. DO BETTER.

Ready reserve

Approximately three or four weeks ago I paid off my ready reserve in full. Now they’re showing a $.10 balance, I contacted the bank however, nobody did anything about that balance, no one contacted me after I sent a message concerning the account balance. You probably should contact your customers or they might just go away and bank somewhere else. Ball is in your court.

Tags Disappearing

When I go to transfer money, I add a tag (note) to remember what the amount was for. I have several of the same amounts which I have taken out every week. Also, I make several transfers on a single day. When I go back in to check, the tags are missing. The amounts are bunched up on one day missing my notes as to what it was for. This needs to be fixed.

Poorly functioning

Unable to see your own account balances, loads slowly and poorly, and is used more for the banks own advertising than actually helping you keep your finances in order. Very disappointed that they saw their older system not working effectively, but instead of improving it, they just built a spam site to advertise more poor services.

New app

It’s the worst app I’ve ever used. Not user friendly. When I’m trying to pay bills for the month, it returns home after each entry. You can’t see multiple past payments for each credit card. I ll stop here, you don’t have enough paper to put down all of my complaints. Terrible design…

Breaks password managers

App won’t allow me to log in without creating a passcode.

Passcodes are not secure. We have biometrics on our devices and password managers to facilitate strong passwords. A 4 digit passcode is derinitionally insecure due to its length and entropy. And it disincentivizes password manager due to non-conventional login experience. Which means it forces passcode to be stored by memory. Which means most users will create a simple passcode they can remember (insecure) or reuse an existing passcode (even more insecure).

This is very disappointing, especially in a time where Passkeys exist. Bad decisions, First Financial. Very bad.

Unnecessary change

Honestly I’m going to switch banks this is ridiculous. Why couldn’t you just transfer our passwords? Plus YourFirstFinancial wasn’t broken, why get a brand new one? Bunch of bull. Didn’t get my password in the mail and I’ve waited for almost an hour each time I’ve called and no one has picked up?

Don’t like the new update

The older version was much simpler and easier to find what you need. I miss being able to hold down on my account number and routing number to add it to pay for something. Now you can’t do that so I have to write it down each time. Very inconvenient.

Banking update changes

Since the banking software/app update we can not view our additional Florida checking account on the dashboard. It looks like we will need to go into a local branch to try to figure this out. We have already contacted FF support regarding this issue nd were able to add the transfer account information and the second checking account info but have not been able to click the correct switch to view the account on the dashboard like we did on the previous dashboard screen.

We are very computer literate but this is beyond our abilities to figure this out. Sometimes "progress" can be frustrating.

Problems with mobile app

I have been trying to add payee’s to my account on the mobile app for 7 days now. The message I get is, something went wrong on our end, please try later. The people on the customer service line are no help and their only answer is , we know we have a problem and are not sure when it will be fixed.

Once again thanks for reminding me why I switching to chase. Can’t access anything because my online access was disabled in the switchover and you all must have 3 IT people working. No branch near me, no atm that doesn’t charge 3 or more in fees. I remember when Bank of Highland actually cared about their customers. Peace out FFB!

Fix the update problem

My phone is updated to 17 and it keeps saying I need to upgrade past 16,I’ve already done that. And when you hit the button saying upgrade it just takes you to YourFirstFinancial to the open button. You need to fix this garbage. Whoever’s doing your app development don’t know what they’re doing, you need to fire them. I downloaded this on my iPhone 8 no problem. How is it I can do that but I can’t upload it on my iPhone 12? Stop apologizing and do something about it.

Needs work

I’ve banked with first for years. They updated/changed YourFirstFinancial recently, and ever since then my mobile banking will glitch out. I won’t be able to check my balance for days, and then once it loads, I sometimes end up getting an overdraft fee due to their app not working right & not loading my transactions. A fee that can only be reversed once according to the banker. I think the new app needs more work.

New app offers less

The old app showed after each transaction what the balance in the account was. I need that information. And it is gone. I am very displeased with YourFirstFinancial. Not wild about the new bill pay either.

Not impressed

I liked being able to see all of my accounts on the front page then selecting the one needed. Now we have to scroll through to find the one needed. Not a problem, just annoying. Also, when balancing an account and need to look up the transaction by dollar amount, it doesn’t look like YourFirstFinancial can find it. If this was supposed to be an upgrade, so far it falls short for me.

I use my app a lot it is betterish than the old one I like the layout and access’s to everything and that it separates the pending sales BUUUT it seems like every 2 weeks or so it’s telling me to change my password then when I change the password it doesn’t accept it and locks me out it won’t let me use my old password or the new one and it’s nerve racking I’m always in a hurry with my special needs son and that makes it way less convenient

Bring back the running total

YourFirstFinancial is a great tool I only wish it had a card lock switch so that when I’m not using my card I can lock it from being used by anyone else if it somehow ends up in the wrong hands!

I'm quite impressed with your banking app! The design and layout are top-notch. However, I've got a suggestion to make it even better: add a feature to lock and unlock my card directly from the mobile app. No more tedious phone calls needed!

Great interface, easy to use for daily banking & paying bills

I use online banking at several institutions, and YourFirstFinancial design of this one is most preferred. I like the layout, ability to categorize my expenses and organize my dashboard. I started to pay bills more regularly from this account. It is easy, secure, and provides various options for payment dates. I use YourFirstFinancial almost daily, it is quicker to respond than the previous one and it so easy to use! Alerts are frequent but helpful in monitoring transactions once you get used to them.

Wife and I opened our accounts yesterday. We found YourFirstFinancial to be fast and responsive, yet a little cluttered - easily fixable with the dashboard organization tool offered by YourFirstFinancial and can be quickly setup to match your needs IF you have the ~5 minutes it takes to make your adjustments. I’ve set my dashboard to a sort of minimalism.

We both found the security options are sublime (YourFirstFinancial offers password, 2FA, 4-digit passcode, AND face ID), and the interface is nothing short of absolutely thrilling (bright yellow and white). Good job to the U/I and Tech Security teams.

I’d also like to give a big shoutout to the developers wherein so far YourFirstFinancial has been effective in what it’s supposed to do and at this time of writing - almost entirely bug free on my end.

Assuming my wife has a good experience with a bank for once: there may be another 5-star rating here soon from her as well.

I got my checking account in 1999 with First Financial Bank and I have been with them since and I have loved dealing with them. The tellers are always very polite and they always are very helpful whenever I need some help. I'm very happy with the service I get at First Financial Bank.

Final straw to switch banks

Sister spent over an hour on phone to get into her accounts. I’m now an hour into app after spending hour trying desktop and still not in. It says call us! Hearing impaired people can’t just pick up a phone. No online message help available. Doesn’t list phone number to call even if I could get someone to help me. Seems there is always an issue that I have to get someone to make a call for me with this bank. I am so done and closing the account this week.

Change Transfer Time to 11:00pm

I like the new app, but I’d still like to be able to transfer money to/from my other First Financial accounts after 9:00pm and see the transaction posted like it does before 9:00pm… Will you please change the transfer time to 11:00pm… Thanks!

I really like the new First Financial banking app. It is way easier to do banking and much more with the flow of every day needs. I wish it were a bit easier to send member to member. And it may be as simple as working through YourFirstFinancial a little more. I’ve had many opportunities to switch to other banking . I have happily chose to keep banking with First.
