Horrible delivery time, horrible customer service, horrible items that do NOT look anything like item being sold. Comes from China so it costs way too much to send item back. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE!!!! Would attach a picture showing you the items I ordered compared to items received but pictures aren’t allowed on reviews. Just horrible!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Items never get sent so they issue a ‘this app credit’ which is useless because you never get your items. Takes over 90 days to get the horrible item that is not even remotely close to what was advertised on their site.

I won 18 bids. 1st was delivered fine, 2nd item was not anything like what was advertised, and 3rd and 4th item state they were delivered but there was NOTHING delivered. The 14 remaining items are all overdue for delivery and they make you wait 60 days after the estimated delivery date before anything will be done (so you wait over 4 months for a refund). Still waiting on refund for an item that should have arrived in May and it is now July!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY THAT IS JUST A SCAM.

A few years ago we were regular bidders for expensive items. Things included natural gemstones and perfumes. We ordered an antique bowl that was pricey and it came broken. We contacted the seller and was told tough luck. They shipped it with minimum packing. This wasn’t the first time we got something broken. We also got an expensive bottle of Hugo Boss broken but we didn’t make a huge deal out of it when we couldn’t get reimbursed. The bowl was different. When we contacted this app they suspended my spouses account for it. Instead of go after the shipper you punished us. I finally came back after an extended leave because a friend told me it was upgraded and better. This is the worst. I signed up and won several auctions. Then I sent the link to my spouse and he signed back in to look. As soon as he connected to OUR PayPal they suspended both of our accounts. I I’m could understand the confusion but when I contacted them about it I was simply told they would not reinstate my account.
Terrible. Do not use. There are much much much much better auction sites. No one should have to go through this.

I joined and my first win was a tablet with keyboard. After one month I inquired about when I could expect my winning prize and all they could tell me was it’s in “transit”. Yesterday, I inquired again, asking when my item will arrive and automatically without me touching any buttons they said they “issued me a refund”. I did not request a refund, I want the item I won! This really upset me for several reasons, first, anywhere on earth, the US postal service does not take three months to deliver anything!!! This means that their vendor does not have the item to send me, seriously. So if this a legit website, in order to honor my prize win, this app should step in and send me my item...not instantly issue me a refund which I did not request. I WANT MY ITEM!!! I have family and many friends who want to join this website, but will not until they see how they handle this situation. I want to be a part of this app, but if it’s going to turn out like this, it’s not fair to me and the many customers who have joined them. I’m not being mean by posting this, because if I ever get my prize, I will gladly give them a five star rating, but a three month wait and a refund I did not request is not how to handle this. I will keep you posting as to the proper outcome of this, if this app has any integrity at all!!! Thank you for listening.

I made four purchases on this app. The first was an unlocked refurbished iPhone 4S. The home button didn’t work, so I returned it to the sender in Texas for a refund. I haven’t been refunded for it yet. The second and third purchases were sunglasses and yellow lens night driving glasses respectively. Neither of them were the glasses portrayed in the pictures and both of them were complete garbage. The yellow lenses weren’t even yellow. They were orange. I was refunded for both, and because they were shipped from China they didn’t want them back. The fourth item was a car windshield camera. The camera I had in my hands did not match the camera in the pictures nor the images in the user manual. I’m pretty sure the user manual was translated from Chinese to English using Google Translate. The plastic camera was of the poorest quality. I asked for a refund and because it was shipped from China they told me to keep it.

Four out of four purchases were trash. I’m done with this app.

I did notice that one method for increasing sales and giving an illusion of quality is for the vendor to say that the original cost is $250 and it’s going for as little as $5 now. Both of the glasses I purchased were portrayed as such. There’s no chance those were $250 glasses. You could get better quality glasses at Walmart.

If I could give Tophatter no stars I would. I never write a review but for Tophatter I had to. Only one item turned out ok and that was a hoodie that we ordered. Everything else was a waste of time and money. None of the products look like the picture. Everything we received looks like it came from. Goodwill and a penny store. Today we received a remote control jeep. According to the pictures, the jeep was supposed to be a jeep that a young child could ride in. Instead we got a cheap remote control jeep, that looks like someone’s child played with, stuck it back in a box, put a piece of tape on it and sent to us. The robot we ordered was not the one in the picture. Not even close. Again, looks like a toy a child didn’t want, but this time there was no box or remote control. Just wrapped it in bubble wrap and shipped it. I can go on and on about the stuff we ordered ( shoes , purses, clothes and toys). We ordered tons of stuff, in hopes to give these items to children in our neighborhood, whom parents are not working or lease fortunate. We wasted so much money and we now have to go and spend additional money on gifts. Thanks for nothing. Everything has to go to the good will. Stuff not worth giving as a gift or even keeping.

Every thing I have purchased from here, if I ever got it, was cheap and usually did not match the listing. They have waited up to 7 days after my payment has cleared to even send my purchases to me which are usually from China to begin with and just delays getting it. In the last 10 transactions I ve done everything was sent out 7-9 days after my payment cleared. All except 3 items which the seller never even bothered to shipto me or even contact me whatsoever in regards to the sale of their product. One did say they didn’t have it in stock, after I emailed this app many times complaining it had been 14 day’s since my payment cleared the bank and it still had not been shipped out to me. Then why was it for sale in the website to begin with? No one can answer that question at this app. It’s December 23, and I’m still waiting to get stuff I ordered end of October. I’ve just considered those things lost money and I have already replaced some of them as they were gifts I won’t be getting till January on a couple of them. I’m done with this so called business and I am going to their largest competitor to do business with them. If you don’t like disappointment, then don’t bother with them cause that’s all you will get.

I used to use Tophatter and it was pretty good at first. Items not the best quality but for the prices one paid, not too bad. BUT than after a while my items stopped coming to me and when they were marked delivered i would check the tracking and the items were always delivered to someone else in a different state. It kept happening more and more often and the company solution was to give a credit. Who wants a credit when you aren’t even getting your items. I sent MANY emails to customer service explaining to them that their sellers are giving multiple people the same tracking numbers on an item but only one person gets the product (my guess is that it goes to the person that paid the most). Customer service didn’t seem to care. Ok Now I’m sure some people are wondering how I know about the tracking , well I work for the usps and I was able to see that ALL the items I ordered were NOT ADDRESSED TO MY ADDRESS. All were addressed to others addressed. Unless you want to get ripped off, don’t download or use. The sellers cheat people out of their money and the company only gives a credit unless you send an email requesting a refund.

There are a few really good deals and some really pretty stuff, however, most is really cheap. The majority is plated stuff so be careful to look for sterling silver. I’ve yet to see real gold. Like I said, there is some nice stuff but you have to learn to look for it. The most unfortunate thing though is that when you return items because they are not authentic, not what you bought, or otherwise damaged....they ding you for making too many returns when it’s the sellers fault for being dishonest. Then they make YOU pay the return postage for the junk the sellers sent to you once you reach their return limit. It’s very unfortunate. They also will block you from bidding due to you reaching the return limit. Essentially it’s buyer beware because this site does nothing to protect buyers from the scams. :-( Again, if you are super duper careful when buying you can find some gorgeous items. I am very happy with several items I bought. The learning curve is pretty steep though so just be careful. Disappointed in their customer service. Even when you send pics showing the damaged product it means nothing.

Product descriptions on a lot are vague. A lot of photos are misleading on size and quality of merchandise. Can be addicting and you do not have to buy unless you win bid, which is a plus. Customer service takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r to respond. A few items ordered were refunded due to vender not sending item. Kinda a drag. But The option is given to refund via credits or original method of payment which is nice. Quite a few items were extremely late but that could have been the holidays. If you are lucky, a vender will be true to description. Not so bad on some fine jewelry I ordered. Other products.. not impressed. A lot of stuff comes from over seas and is made cheaply. Depending on the amount you won the bid for, product is not worth the amount paid. However, its still a fun app... if you don't mind taking a chance. A plus is sometimes products are “free” ... just pay shipping. Just be careful as sometimes the product isn’t quite the quality expected. But ok for the price paid in shipping. The most irritating thing is app crashes or resets and this gets annoying when your in the middle of leaving a review or researching a product description. Get the bugs fixed.

1st Purchase - Originally won it at $22 and then used an $8 credit from shipping so I paid $13 for this sorry piece of Japan plastic junk!!! I received it and it is in Japanese language. Are you serious? Getting my money back.
2nd Purchase - paid $22 for a drone that supposedly has a retail value of $499. When I received the drone, I powered the battery and insert it in the drone and turned on and hit the lift off button and the drone flew away never to be seen again. I learned that the vendors selling on this app are not authorized to sell the products they are selling which in turn, void the manufactures warranty. So I do not get a drone replacement or refund.
I am not impressed with the value of the products. I’m almost afraid to see the rest of my stuff still yet to come. Stay away from this app, terrible support, terrible merchandise. They use fake retail costs to lure you in and when you bid and win at an astonishing low price it’s supposed to make you feel like you got one heck of a deal when in fact the merchandise does not measure up to retail or winning bid prices. Do yourself a favor and leave this app now and save yourself from learning the hard way, heed my warning.

I only gave three stars because a lot of the items I’ve bought have really not been worth the money. I have received things that were broken on arrival. I’ve also bought items that never arrived at all. Thankfully, if something arrives broken or doesn’t arrive at all, I can get a refund for that. On the other hand, if I get credit for something and don’t spend that credit fast enough, it “expires“ and I lose the credit! That has happened more than once and I don’t like it! I’ve also received items that I bought that were not advertised accurately and had to get a refund. Tophatter is a lot of fun to use to bid on items. And, as I stated at the very beginning, Tophatter is also addictive! I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on Tophatter, often buying things I didn’t really need, just because they made things LOOK so appealing that I felt I HAD to have them! And oftentimes many things can be bought much cheaper (even FREE but paying the postage) on WISH! I could probably say more, but I guess that’s enough. Like I said, it’s a fun but addictive app. Be careful if you decide to try it!

Well you’ll probably find yourself getting stuff that you don’t need but you can find real deals on stuff that you do need or want. Whenever I’ve had a question or a problem they have been very responsive. If something has arrived damaged or the wrong item has come they did not refund me my money but they did give me a credit immediately. If you bid impulsively and realize you don’t want the item they have issued me a credit for that as well. If you bid accidentally they will cancel your transaction if you let them know immediately. So no reason not to buy stuff and have fun. Shipping speeds are variable, some things taking a very long time to ship and other things coming very quickly. They encourage you to leave a rating on the items and if you look at the ratings from others ahead of time you will find information that you may have otherwise missed. The sizes of clothing can be very tricky as you normally have to purchase at least two sizes larger than what a US size would be. If you have to make a choice between several options I encourage you to take a picture that shows either the size, color, or the item number that you want so that when you go to make your purchase you are not confused because there’s no way to go back and review the multiple pictures of the items unless it’s up for bid again. You may forget that you wanted color number 5 for example.

I’m not an experienced reviewer BUT... I am an experienced this app user. I’ve been with them almost from the beginning, so in a way I have watched them grow from an apparently low-budget, less experienced infancy (or perhaps toddlerhood) into a well formed, intelligent, robust adulthood. I still can’t assign 5 stars bc there are still some kinks to tweak out, like having to re-do my product reviews at least 90% of the time. In fact that little bug is one reason I don’t publish many reviews. I like having seen the this app app grow up. It’s reassuring knowing that this dev team has learned along the way and become a well oiled bidding machine. It seems to me that they’ve wisely used their revenue to wisely improve their product and services. A long time ago I had decided to sell some items on eBay, back when they were the only online “game” around. After half a day of reading terms and instructions, trying to ferret out the morsels important to my needs, I decided that I had already used up in time far more than whatever amount I might have sold my items for. Imo the this app product is superior to all other similar products I’ve tried. Nice work 👍🏽

I love the this app app! I’ve won a lot of cool stuff from the site. Just a few pointers....READ READ READ THE DETAILS OF THE PRODUCT you’re bidding or buying. A nice picture of a product with an awesome price next to it is very tempting to just go for it bc woo hoo! You think you’re getting a tablet but the day arrives that you get your package and you rip it open with excitement and......it’s a screen protector FOR that tablet lol 😂 I’ve read so many ppl write bad reviews and it’s all bc they didn’t open up the details to read EXACTLY what you would be getting in the package. Says right there that this winner will receive....... Tophatter goes on ppls fast impulse buy for you to press that bid button and get gratification like gambling. Unless you wanna spend $400 on a floppy screen protector bc you got tricked by seeing a picture of a tablet along with everyone else bidding their high cash on it. SO READ DETAILS! Play around and I wouldn’t get seriously pricey stuff but there’s fun stuff. Have fun!

I have to be honest. There are pro’s and con’s to Tophatter . The bidding is definitely a rush and I have fun bidding on products. However please be advised that shipping date is never accurate. Every single product I purchased too over two months to receive. About 5 items never got delivered. The tracking is horrible. Most products are coming from overseas. Some products show that the carrier never received the item. It’s hit or miss but be prepared to not receive most of your items on time. Literally two months or longer and the tracking does not update at all. Tophatter does explain this but I would just advise any new users to be aware that you may not get your items in a timely manner. this app’s customer service is absolutely fantastic and they do respond when you email them. The products I did receive were great so it’s worth the money. The jewelry is not real and turn my finger green. this app will refund you but mostly it will be applied as a credit unless it’s a higher value.

I’m absolutely loving this sight! It’s fun and you can find a lot of really cool items on the sight. I’ve tried other sights, but none have been as much fun as this app. You can find a lot of cool stuff and a lot of useful stuff. If you have an issue with any thing they are very responsive to you, and they are very helpful in correcting the issue. They usually respond within minutes of you contacting them. They also have buyer protection, which is very nice. Also they are very prompt with getting refunds back to you usually within 24 hours, with other sights you wait for days before your refund gets processed. You can buy straight out or you can bid on items, I’ve purchased so many great items for myself, my husband, and my grandchildren. I totally love it and it’s so much fun when bidding against other people. Happy bidding to you! You definitely will not be disappointed.

I love this sight it’s great for finding good deals on items but it’s also fun just browsing and see what’s new. Sometimes I get a good laugh out of some of the bidding wars that go on and how crazy high they get when that battle for the bid is on. They also have a great response to refunds or returns. I haven’t had to return anything but I have had a couple orders go missing but they were refunded no problems. With the exception of a wet abs dry car vacuum I purchased. I still haven’t heard anything o it and we are coming back around to almost a year waiting for refund or vaccuum. That one I have no idea what the issue is or was. Customer service is always friendly and I’ve never had a problem getting ahold of anyone. If you like actions and like great deals this sight is perfect. I recommend it to all my friends and anyone else for that matter. I would recommend them over wish when it comes to customer service and shipments arriving.

I personally love Tophatter , it I am also a responsible consumer. A lot of people reviewing Tophatter badly and saying poor quality on the items purchased or overpriced, but that is no fault but their own. I have made many purchases and all have been up to or exceeded my expectations. I also make smart purchases. If you do your homework you can find a lot of these items else where for cheaper than what people are bidding on the. You can also get items on here much cheaper than anywhere else. Some products are poor quality, but you wouldn’t buy a flat screen TV based off a price and a suggest d MSRP, right? You would do your home work on that specific TV to determine if it is price. This is no different... done blame Tophatter because of your personal poor buying decision in purchasing a poor quality item. No one is forcing to overbid on a piece of junk!

Do your research and know what you’re buying... watch the item to see what it goes for on bids, research the actual value and snatch it up when bidding is low! Great app and I am glad I found it!

This is new to me. I’ve bought on eBay and fooled around with some other sites but this app is the most fun! At first I wasn’t sure about the items for sale... For the most part not what I’d head straight for at Macys BUT I’ve easily managed to find fun and exciting items at great savings for my home upgrading to sell, for the grandchildren’s schooling and Christmas, even for others in the family as well as for ME! I’ve purchased electronics that give the little ones A place for everything from drawing and practicing numbers/letters, etc., to real computing.

It took me a while to learn the methods, so take your time if you’re a newbie — and learn how to win. It doesn’t come the first time. Let it take longer than you dared and you’ll save a lot of money! In order to do so I’ve been up till dawn having a ball and knowing not only how much I’ve saved but the cool things I’ve bought. (I’m retired so CAN stay up, not to mention that my SS checks will go sooo much further allowing me to be an awesome gramma AND dress cooler!). I’m glad I found this app, and you will be too. My hats off to this app for being so cool!

I’m happy with this app it is true that you find a bunch of good deals ( I HAVE ) also true that a lot of things are not so great,
( TRUE TOO ) but not to worry this app does and has a great team that always helps if you’re unsatisfied or if you get a wrong or damaged item, they’ll try their best to make you happy and give you this app credits of a refund which always is a good thing. There is one thing I wouldn’t buy anymore ( personally) is the sets of tools, literally all the sets I’ve bought are always incomplete it’ll say a 6,10,20 Etc pcs sets but only received a 1 pcs for every individual sets, (that’s my experience with the tools) yes they have taken care of 90% of them so I’m great full for that, a little advice don’t rush when you are a newbie they will put the item you were bidding on again So have a little patience and you will get great deals.

It’s a great app and also fun you will be able to get a lot of great great great deals!

As far as getting inexpensive items goes, this isn’t really worth the trouble or the thrill of some sort of auction hunt. Just looking through Tophatter my first go, a bunch of red flags popped up. One thing for sale was a tablet, but the specs for it were terrible, and with all their electronics, similar things seem to go on. Camera drones with only 2MP cameras, for instance. They also sell ambiguously collectible coins and items that seem to have value, but don’t at all list their composition or minting information. Jewelry doesn’t have anything about it’s makeup either, which tells me that it’s certainly not high quality.

Also, the site doesn’t really have much for sorting algorithms. You have a few tabs to search through, and if your product isn’t there, tough luck, check in again after 5 minutes and some auctions pass.

If you want to get a bunch of inexpensive goods, just use an app like Wish instead, because at least they list it at one price and that’s that, no competing people who might not know exactly what they’re buying, a wider selection, and at very least, it has a properly working search function.

The people in China shipping these items must hate Americans. None of my orders have shown up on time. When they do they smell like someone intentionally puffed cigarette smoke into the packaging and put ash into my orders. All but one item has had to be trashed. More than half of the items are nothing like described. And they never show up when they are supposed to. Most of the descriptions are very misleading and false. And all of the items are cheap worthless items. The marked out prices are ridiculous. A cheap Bluetooth headset resembling the ones Apple put out had a retail price of $600 and starting bid of $1. I won’t the item for $10 and they sent one of the earphones when the description clearly said head set and shoes two earphones. And there are many more instances. I definitely fell for the excitement and purchases allot of items more than half I still haven’t received and it’s been more than a month. The ones I have received were not as described and/or did not work or they smelled like cigarettes with ashes in the packaging or the package was empty. Don’t download Tophatter. It’s a scam in a half.

Would give 0 starts. When I first downloaded Tophatter I purchased quite a few items. Unfortunately they were all a bust. A humidifier I bought only works if you hold it upside down. Magnetic eyelashes poorly made with magnets misaligned so that you can not wear them. Kylie eye shadows likely not authentic as they are as pigmented and wear as poorly as something that would be included for free in a Christmas gift from Walmart. The digital watch we purchased requires downloading an app that has a warning attached to it notifying you it has been known to cause damage to devices. Earrings I purchased were roughly half the size they were advertised as. And the icing on the cake for all of this is that it's cheaper to cut your losses than to pay for shipping the item back to CHINA to get a refund. This application is downright terrible and sells garbage that I wouldn't even sell to a stranger at a garage sale, and that I would feel guilty for donating to a Goodwill/Salvation Army. The stuff may look nice in pictures but it is downright garbage. Please don't waste your time or money!

It was my first time using Tophatter .. I’m worried at first because I know the items here are bootleg.. But what the heck no harm in trying.. So 2 1/2 weeks later my item arrived like 4 days early.. I got a mini retro console.. I was very happy when I saw it inside the mailbox.. It didn’t came in a box it was just inside an envelope and bubble wrapped came from asia.. So upon trying out the mini console the device turns on but no pictures comes out of the TV.. Tried adjusting the connector I might be wrong even it its color coordinated still nothing.. So I asked for a return since I couldn’t use it anyway to my shock I’m the one who’s gotta pay for the return shipping.. So yeah I just returned the item today cost me $23 for the return and the item I bought is $26 wasted my time and it seems like I’ve returned it for free.. No further explanation on Tophatter that buyers will pay for return shipping.. It’s a nice app but personally I’m not gonna use it anymore since basically I gave the seller money and cost me more.. Better be more clear on the return policy on this..

MORE THAN LIKLY A SCAM PLEASE READ ALL
I shop online a lot just so I don’t have to deal with the stress of driving and dealing with people. And I love a good bargain however there are SEVERAL products on here that I have also seen on wish, geek and other shopping apps that are worth anywhere from 1-10$ and Tophatter is selling these items for those prices however they are saying that they are actually worth several hundred even thousands of dollars. I have seen things like pocket watches and things like ear phones on this app that I have also seen on wish or geek the same photo exact same product. Wish and geek had them priced for 1-10$ and that’s exactly what they are worth but on top hatter they are saying that they are selling for those prices however on their original price column they are saying they are worth hundreds and in fact they are not. So I wouldn’t go around buying a bunch of stuff from this store thinking it’s worth something it isn’t. Especially jewelry you’re better off just buying from wish or geek it’s basically just the same cheap products.

Would recommend to people who like things for cheap. I’ve won a few things costing $100 plus for as low as $10. Some deliveries I’ve had has been as fast as 3 days. Longest I’ve encountered is 2 weeks because of it being shipped from out of the country. My only complaint is that if you bid and then decide you don’t want to bid anymore and accidentally bid or decide you don’t want it anymore and win, you’ll have to pay then go to the refund section to refund. Only good thing is they refund you automatically. Another complaint I should add in is that if you win a bid on an item you have to pay for that item before bidding again and you can’t win multiple biddings and pay all at once. Say for instance if you win a bid and see something you want and want to bid right away before you lose out on the deal you can’t because you have to pay for the item you just won first. Other than that I give Tophatter 3/5 just for those reasons. Good app though.

Especially the laser for a rifle. It appears that you are receiving a scope with the laser. It takes too much effort to find out that all you’re bidding on is a laser that is only rated for an airsoft gun. The sellers should AT LEAST put the words scope not included in the description.

Another one is the collection of pennies. The seller, in his description, says that you receive 1/4 pound of pennies. Very few people know how many pennies are in a quarter pound; especially your non-US purchasers. It would be much more helpful to list the number of pennies, not the weight.

For the “miracle sponges“ the picture lists 30 to 40 sponges. But you were only getting a few of them. The picture is intentionally misleading as it would be very easy to take a picture of exactly what you are receiving.

A vendor that lists - with an accurate picture and clear description - of what is being sold, and there are lots of them on your site, will build a reputation for honesty. I would hate to see your this app website besmirched by some of your partners.

And don’t get me started on the coins and paper money. Again, a potential buyer has to read all the details of what is being sold to understand that they are not getting a two dollar bill, or a Silverdollar, etc., but only a “gold foil replica” or a “tribute coin”.

if you know you’re paying for cheap made stuff most of the time you won’t be disappointed although i did recently win an imac for $300. The only thing i don’t like about Tophatter is that almost any and every item you look at there are reviews saying “haven’t tried it yet but looks good” or things of the like and i have even found some items that are different but have the same list of reviews on them so that is kind of disappointing because most of the time the description is very vague and the reviews are the only thing you have in that small window of time to really know what you’re bidding on. Also worth a note that not everything comes from china, but most do and thus have long shipping times. Just be careful when you bid because once you win something you can’t really get around paying for it Tophatter won’t let you bid on anything else before closing the previous sale - made that mistake on a couple items that i have no use for whatsoever

Don’t be naïve you’re getting this item or items cheap for a reason you can research the stuff by now or add a heart next to it so the next time it comes up for sale you can bid on it that many of the coins are I don’t wanna use the word fake but if you read the fine print it tells you that it’s not real so my best advice to you is take the time to research don’t panic and buy something it’s the same sellers on her for the most part they have more than one item for sale so take the time to read the fine print I spent $17 to get a core record that was $10 +7 dollars shipping no I didn’t see the FinePrint that it didn’t come with the ST card it’s pictured that it has one but in the fine print it says it doesn’t well I already have a few of those so it’s no big deal so for $17 it’s a win-win if it works take the time to review what your buying before you bye

this app is a great website! It is a moving auction with anything you would need. Since I have joined years ago,I have bought all my Xmas presents here! That’s how good they are!i have referred friends,but don’t count on the money for that because they give it to another friend and tell you some story.
