Way Better than the mobile website
I kept trying to online shop from my phone on their website and every time I selected an item to view and went back I would have to start at the top of the page extremely frustrating. I finally downloaded the app and it solved this major aggravating problem. Just wish the app had more filters on items. For instances, when you are looking for a specific ring size, that not an option you have to look by color or brand, etc.. I guess you can’t have it all.
Shipping was horrible
I was not home and couldn’t stay home all day for my package and left the door tag with instructions to leave with my neighbor. I received an email saying package was at a ups drop off location and I rushed there before work only to find out it wasn’t there and the store owner said he received an email stating it has been shipped to another ups location for pickup. I had to break the speed barrier to get to work that day and that was not the way I wanted to start my day. I contacted customer service and was on hold for about 28 min while they tracked my package and still had no results and had to get into work. I called customer service back and was given the address of the location of my package after again being placed on hold for 14 minutes, of my fifteen minute break. I will say the return was easy breezy but the beginning really put a BAD taste in my mouth. I should be given reward points “just because “ on this one.
App/Website Crashes A Lot
The Nordstrom Rack app and website crashes a lot. I placed an order last night and I kept getting an error prompt when I tried to check out and place my order. I attempted to place my order several times and continued to receive the error prompt and my cart would empty. I woke up this morning to two order email confirmations meaning my order was actually placed twice without my knowledge. I called customer care to cancel one of the orders but they weren’t able to as it was outside of their apparent 2 hour cancellation window. Now I have to wait to receive both orders (which are duplicates), call customer care again to receive a “courtesy return shipping label” and then ship the entire order back. Highly inconvenient for an error with their app. Don’t think I will continue to use it as I just keep running into crashes and issues that end up creating more work for me. Extremely disappointing.
App has ongoing issues
Ongoing issue with items being canceled for low stock! If I am able to purchase, it should be in stock. Purchased three bras and all three were canceled. Not one or two canceled. ALL THREE! Then there is the issue of the 15 minutes after which item is removed from your cart. I don’t know about anyone else but 15 minutes is not enough time for me to shop. If I am adding items to my cart, the items should not be removed. After 15-30 mins of NO ACTIVITY, then yes, I would understand if the item is removed. Another issue I’m experiencing is that I am adding items and then go to the cart and it is totally empty. Try to add an item and get the success, item has been added but nothing is in cart. Called customer service and was told to wait two hours, tech is aware and working on it. Still waiting 48 hours later. App needs a lot of work.
I'm still waiting for a refund from a purchase I made a month and a half ago. They claimed that after an attempted delivery, they dropped it off at a pick up point - in the next town over. Seriously? No note on the door stating they missed me (which is what has always been done) and no sign they ever attempted to deliver it. The first part of the package (the most expensive part) was simply left on my doorstep. I was home and there was no knock or doorbell rung. So why not leave it there again? This time I ordered three pairs of shoes. Two identical pairs and only one of them came with the other pair. My account shows "return requested" - I requested no such thing. Also it was once again delayed. Let's see how long it takes to get both refunds. The app itself may not be to blame-the likelihood that you'll actually receive what you order on time - isn't great. Unreliable - 1 star
Shipping too slow - benefits to card holders
More time is needed to reserve an item when trying to meet the free shipping minimum. Also, most people I talk to add items to meet the minimum with the full intention of returning them. Free shipping with no minimum or free two day shipping should be given to Nordstrom card holders. Rack is notoriously slow in shipping...I often buy off Zappos or other free one-day or two- day shipping websites bc they will price match. The slow shipping often prevents me from buying items from Rack online. It isn’t the speed of Nordstrom. Now with the Rack membership I don’t see many benefits to holding a Nordstrom card since everyone gets them.
Not satisfied at all
I’ve spent a lot of money here and I’m really disappointed and frustrated. My last three orders have had serious issues. Five out of seven items in one of them just didn’t arrive, one pair of pants I needed for work was not as pictured (a different BRAND of pants, even I thought I was getting work pants, I received cropped cargo pants with an odd asymmetrical zipper) app said there was stock on a pair of boots when there was not. I just looked at my order and the cancellation is now pending. You shouldn’t be able to purchase items that don’t exist, and now I still have that pending charge on my debit card. Have yet to see my refund. It doesn’t seem to matter if you spend extra on shipping at all. Customer service was nice and did what they could, the problem seems to be much deeper. I was a very loyal customer and I regret recommending Nordstrom rack to others.
Worst App Ever
I had around $85 of stuff in my cart & tried to check out. The app was incredibly slow, so each stage of the check out took around 5 min to load. Then, when I finally was able to put in my payment info, they were unable to process it. Another annoying thing about the app is that it doesn’t save your address, so if they are unable to process your payment you have to start all over again and enter all of the information again. I probably entered in my address AT LEAST a dozen times, maybe more. By the time I was finally able to check out, 2 of the items had sold out. I decided not to buy the rest because of how long it would have taken. I probably will never use the app again, and it left such a bad taste in my mouth I don’t see myself going to Nordstrom Rack anytime soon.

Nordstrom Rack has classic never-go-out-of-style merchandise, and fun loving items of the moment as well!!! The site is convenient and easy to use, but the real finds and treasures are the people that work in the store itself. I shop at Nordstrom Rack in South Portland, Maine and the staff there is like family. They really are an amazing group of individuals. They are friendly, but professional, helpful, but not pushy, interesting, funny and so caring. I can’t say enough about them and how they have changed the landscape of retail shopping!! Go there if you get a chance, you won’t be at all disappointed. 👍🏻👍🏻
The Rack is ok if you never have to make a return. Today I tried to call their 800 customer service for a mailing label. Twice I got a message saying I was calling outside of my calling area (what does that even mean?). I also tried to print the mailing label associated with the article I had ordered. After repeated efforts, it would only print the entire page, never the label, although I was careful to tap Print Label. I sincerely hope someone from their Customer Service office reads this, because their service is really poor. I am going to delete the app so I am not tempted to ever order from them again. Guess I will call Nordstrom and ask for a mailing label and let them deal with it. So annoying. My one star rating was too high. The Rack should have a negative Customer Service rating system.
Sure beats getting ran over at the store!
The one thing that all Nordstrom Rack stores have in common is that as soon as those doors open, people swarm in, just to be the first to get the good deals! I never have been one to shop in stores that are at discount prices, because I have a big thing with authenticity and people with knowledge of what I am buying. The app takes a lot of the stress out of going shopping, especially somewhere where you never know what you’re going to get. Highly recommended if you’re a bargain shopper, that’s for sure, and it turned me into a believer!
It is very frustrating that many orders come with the wrong color when it comes to cosmetics. It’s also frustrating when every employee for the company tells me a different story. There is no consistency. When I call sometimes I get someone very helpful and they completely take care of my problem but most of the time I receive someone who has been condescending and can’t do anything because it’s not their problem. Shopping is supposed to be a fun experience. We are spending much money and to be treated this way is not worth it. I am stuck with many items that I can’t use. I understand that companies might be understaffed or over whelmed but the customer should be right especially when they see that we have spent a good amount of money to their business.
Nordstrom Card Services
I had an issue with placing an order. It was with Nordstrom Rack and their customer service closed earlier. It was midnight! Nordstrom Card Services doesn’t have access to orders, but can see the purchases. They walked me through it so I could place my order. It seems their computers were being updated and running slow. I had looked at my emails and found that the clearance items were an additional 25% off so it was important to order timely because of limited inventory and sizes. Thanks Nordstrom Card Services- You’re awesome!!
Addicted to this App
I’ve been using this app regularly for about 2 months and I’ve never had a problem. I’ve always been able to find exactly what I’ve been looking for and the price reductions are great. I only had to return 1 item so far and I just dropped it off at my local Nordstrom Rack store and the experience was effortless! I’ve been reading some of the negative reviews and am very surprised as I’ve never experienced a problem with the app at all. In fact, I use it all the time and probably have a bit of an addiction!
Great prices for the choices!
I have no problems loading the app/site. My only complaint might be when I look at an item and return to shop, the page starts with the very first item, instead of the item you were looking at farther down. Other than that, I have made some great purchases on designer items at a fraction of the true retail cost. The quality is at the top. I’ve also found higher end items that are hard to find anywhere else. An example would be in perfume.
