PLEASE FIX YOUR APP!!

2022-05-21

I will continue to give Publix one star until they fix it. It’s driving me insane. The good aspect is that you can find what aisle you need something in. That is if you know the exact name of the product. Publix needs so much help on their search terms. I put in “hot dog buns” and the first 5 listings were for chicken tenders??? The 6th one finally was for hot dog buns. I looked up Apple cider and had a whole list of apples and had to go way down on the list before I got to Apple cider. Also if you spell a product wrong by 1 letter it can’t find it. Or if you don’t remember the name of the product forget it you’ll never find it. Even by just putting in a generic term. Another thing would be helpful is when I search for something why not have what I bought the last time pop up first. this app check out Walmart’s app and learn a thing or two. If Walmart can do it right then this app can do it too!! this app PLEASE FIX YOUR APP!!!

Needs work

Something was changed with Publix using on an iPhone, it no longer allows you to print your shopping list.

Thank you for your reply but I know how to print from my iPhone. I can print from virtually any app or document or email or PDF on my iPhone directly to my network printer via air print however, when I try to print from the this app shopping list site print is not offered as an option. I have an idea this may have something to do with the recent Apple iOS upgrades because in the past I was able to print my shopping list directly from my iPhone as the print option was offered. Well I’m not sure which iOS version may have changed, but when I go to select from the three dots print is not offered anywhere. Now I realize this is not something this app personally did, but I think it’s worth investigating because my wife has the exact same issue when trying to print from her iPhone, print is not an option offered if you want to print the list.

Try using an timeliness feature

2022-07-23

I understand that sometimes stores get busy and delayed orders can’t be helped, but a few too many times I’ve had to wait 30 to 45 minutes beyond when my order was supposed to be ready. There’s no way in Publix for me to address a completely delayed order and I end up paying the same amount for my wasted time. Otherwise I can cancel, which I’ve wasted time and my lunch break for food I won’t be able to purchase. Apps like Uber Eats offer discounts or partial refunds for orders delayed beyond a certain time. Maybe try that? It’s gotten to the point where there’s no real benefit to using Publix when I end up waiting for my order longer than those who show up in the regular line after me.

This is not meant to insult the workers or the stores. I understand things happen and I’ve never taken anything out on them. This is solely about what Publix could do to improve its efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Used to work great, but...

2022-08-24

My husband does our shopping on Sundays after he goes to church. Today marks two weeks in a row that he cannot access Publix for the grocery list (list will not open, nor will the ‘weekly ad’ section and the ‘search’ function doesn’t work {on a simple search like ‘milk’, a message comes up that says “Sorry we can’t find that. Try rewording your search or reducing your filters.” For MILK??!!}). Last week we got lucky; I could access it and snapshot & email it to him. This week, we have to rely on our rusty, middle-aged brains to remember. 🙄
I went to the online contact form and it says “Sorry our system is temporarily offline’”. Why do scheduled maintenance (yes, that’s a *guess* but probably a good one, since it happened to weeks in a row at the same time) during peak shopping hours? And if it’s not scheduled maintenance then this app needs to check into why their app is crashing each week. Especially with the pandemic, people (including us) are using the touchless pay features more and more, and with Publix down, this is no longer an option.
Please find out the issue, this app. We love shopping there and we loved using Publix , but not the past couple of weeks. 😕

Coupon clipping lag

2022-09-25

My biggest complaint with Publix , something I’ve wanted fixed for months, is when I want to clip several coupons. After each coupon is clipped, there is a banner popping up at the bottom telling me it was successfully clipped and a link to view coupons clipped. This is unnecessary and delays the process. I can see it’s clipped by the scissor symbol turning from green to gray. I’ve started bypassing Publix and going to the mobile site online to clip coupons. On the mobile site, one can tap down the entire list of coupons quickly and efficiently with no banners popping up to delay the process. Your competitor’s app works like your mobile website. Make the this app app mirror the mobile site’s coupon clipping process and it would be a 5 star app for me!

Love Publix, But Unreliable App

2022-10-26

I love this app! Even if they didn’t have an app, it would remain my favorite place to get groceries. When their app works, it’s great. I appreciate being able to see my digital coupons, weekly sales, my shopping list organized according to my store, and more. But when Publix glitches and stops working (which is way more often than any other app I use regularly), it is TERRIBLE. Some days, nothing but the home screen will load. It’s not a WiFi or phone issue — it’s just the this app app. I’ve reached a point where I take screenshots of my shopping list just in case Publix stops working during a grocery run; granted, that can only happen IF Publix works long enough to create a list in the first place. I’ll keep trying to use Publix , but I wish using Publix was as much a pleasure as shopping at this app.

Good - needs improvement (again)

2022-11-27

Yet another glitch… if you add items from the home page under the header “Deals picked for you”, then go to the “Weekly ad” at top of same page, then select “view all”, the ones you JUST picked on the home page aren’t selected.. so no problem, tap them again right? Well when you go to your list the items are there twice. Kind of annoying. Please fix. Thank you

Also to note- my last complaint about the coupon bar that comes up at the bottom of the screen when you select a coupon is much fast that before- so thank you for that. But what I don’t understand is why it has to come up AT ALL. Maybe just keep the error box pop up that pops up when the coupon isn’t available? The “coupon clipped” notification bar at the bottom isn’t necessary. Just having the scissors icon go from green to muted gray means we clipped it. Sometimes less is more.

App very buggy

2022-12-28

This is an update to my review below. Since the time of the review this app’s app team worked diligently to figure out the problem. Even though the problem/solution wasn’t spot on, it was enough that I could adjust my VPN settings so that I could get my apps to work again. It appears that sometimes app and VPN updates can affect one another so it’s not always a one sided problem. I’m happy to be able to use Publix again.

Publix used to be great and now very recently it no longer works when using a VPN. Even worse when I turn off the VPN Publix no longer works, won’t let me log back in & the only remedy is to delete Publix & reinstall & start over. NOT very convenient for a frequently used app. I have already call tech support & have gone through the problems with supposedly a fix but it did not last long. Can’t log back in. The website isn’t much better as it also won’t let you use it when using a VPN service. Doesn’t say much for this app’s concern for customers’ security.

In recent version, removing checked items deletes history

2023-01-29

Edit: In this most recent update, I went to the bottom of my shopping list and clicked Remove All to remove my checked shopping items. After I did this, I went to both History and Favorites, and all of the items here appear to have been removed. This is a big negative since I often base my list on what is in my history or favorites. Big bug to fix in this update.

Old: Love Publix , it’s so easy to make a list. I have noticed that when I search for an item, the search results sometimes repeat themselves, and if I click add to list, it might add it more than once. I can just remove it in the list view though. I really love that it has the aisles that the product is in, and it would still be even more helpful if, like the Target app, there was a floor plan of each store with aisle numbers and product location included. The pay feature is great, I used it for the first time today. Keep up the great work.

Great app, but…

2023-03-02

Publix is awesome, I’ve used it for quite a while to manage my grocery list. I love how it sorts items by aisle, and if you happen to be at a different this app you can change the store and it will automatically resort your list based on that store’s layout. However for some reason in the last couple of weeks it has started grouping items by section instead of aisle number. For example, it lists paprika in the Spices section, ketchup in the BBQ sauce section. Well I already know that paprika is a spice, but on which aisle is the spice section? Is this some kind of setting that I accidentally changed? I’ve looked but can’t figure out how to change it back. My list is set to sort by Location.

List Function

2023-03-31

Update: Thank you for bringing back the Coupon On/Off button on the List function! Maybe some of the other issues will get fixed soon, too. Hoping!

I’ve used Publix for quite a while, but never the list function. I used Grocery IQ, which was the best when it existed. I started using the this app list function a few months ago. It has some bugs, like the produce, deli and bakery are always at the bottom of the list even though they are the first section of every store I shop and there is no way to reorder the aisles myself. Also when adding items to the list there is no indication after you type the item that it has been added, so I often add the same item multiple times. Just a blink or something please. But the WORST, is a recent update that has taken away the button to filter out digital coupons. There are many, many more coupons on my list than items I actually need to purchase so I have to scroll and scroll to find what I need to buy, and several times have missed items. PLEASE bring back this function.

Temporary problem solved. Back to five stars.

2023-05-02

This has been one of my favorite shopping apps. I’ve used it weekly for nearly four years. I loved when they added “pay through Publix ”. I used it from the get-go. (In the beginning, I had to explain to the cashier how to do that.) 😉
I have no clue what has happened in the past week or so. I have to close and reopen Publix just to see my list. Today, I had to use Apple Pay as the “pay” button would not do anything. Tried again six hours later to go to the pay button. Still not working. Otherwise, an excellent app!

Update: Apparently, the “glitch” was only temporary. All is well now. Back to five stars!

Serve with Excellence

2023-06-02

I have always loved this app. They have a consistent level of customer service, clean stores, variety stock of inventory and great prices. I am an advocate for this app. In Alabama folks have a misconception about this app simply because they grew up going to a local store. They say, “that’s for rich people and they have high prices.” But they usually haven’t been to this app often. I simply explain how they have awesome sales, BOGO’s and advantage savings that you don’t know about. They also have impeccable customer service & pride in the cleanliness of stores. Check it out! You too, will soon love shopping at this app, where shopping is a Pleasure.

Publix in Cullman

2023-07-04

this app has been a God send for so many families in Cullman and surrounding areas, including my family. The staff is friendly and courteous. They will actually show where a product is instead of waving vaguely and saying something like, “Well, it should be on aisle 7 or maybe 8. If you see an associate there, they’ll probably show you exactly where it is.” The people at checkout are very patient and greet you with a smile. The extra plus of having groceries taken to and placed in the car is invaluable, especially for customers who are unable to do so. The other departments in the store including fruit and vegetable, bakery, seafood, milk products, pharmacy, etc help make the store “complete.” All in all, this app is my favorite grocery store and I highly recommend it.

Working again !!

2023-08-04

I had previously left a negative review as an update earlier this year completely broke Publix for me. The developer response suggested I contact customer support and I finally did so today - it turned out there was some kind of bug in my account that prevented me from updating any account settings including phone, email, etc., and this same issue was also responsible for breaking Publix . After a quick email exchange they got it straightened out and Publix is working perfectly again. A+ this app !

As for Publix itself, it’s excellent in design & functionality. Very easy to use, and all its features are super useful whether it’s list building, clipping coupons, checking weekly specials, or viewing order history. So happy it’s working again! 😃

Absolutely LOVE the app BUT...

2023-09-05

Overall great app! But when I’m using the function to view the weekly ad to add items to my grocery list, the banner that shows up at the bottom of the screen “added to list....view” just slows me down. I want to add things quickly and continue scrolling. When the icon to add/remove changes according to my tap, that’s all I need to confirm whether or not I added or removed it from my list. Also, when I get to the bottom of my page ready to go to the next page, I wish there was a little button down there to click to bring me to the next page instead of having to scroll all the way up then swiping to the next page. An option at the bottom of the page to do that would make Publix a little more time efficient. Otherwise, great app!

Deli subs

2023-10-07

I really love this app’s! The last couple of times I’ve ordered a sub from this this app’s they haven’t been ready at the scheduled time my this app app has said to pick them up I have had to wait at least 30 mins over the scheduled time . What is the point of ordering online if I’m going to have to wait anyway at the store. This is really annoying to me ! I did talk to a manager on duty the last time and all he said was , I’m sorry, there is nothing I can do for you , I’m just the manager on duty, which is even more annoying! The people working at the deli said your order is still hanging off the Machine where the orders come out. They had a long line , the people standing in line were annoyed that they would make an online order before serving them . There must be some way to fix this mismanagement. Thank you

Love this Publix app But More clarity needed about the five dollar reward

2023-11-07

I love this public app and I signed up using the payment when they promised a five dollar reward off your next purchase of $25. My only issue was they should have been more clear because apparently you need to spend $25 the first time you use it and then $25 the second time you use it in order to qualify for the five dollars reward. My first purchase was only $23 that my next purchase was over $50 but I didn’t get the reward because both purchases weren’t over $25. I called this app and they said thatThe next purchase over $25 would make me eligible for the reward so we’ll see if that happens. I would have just liked it to been more clear because I could’ve easily spent the extra couple dollars on the first purchase to make it eligible. Other than that grate app!!

App is glitchy

2023-12-09

I have been using Publix for a long time now. When it’s working, it’s awesome. When it’s not, it’s a real bummer. Nothing is worse than to be standing in this app and searching for a coupon, you find it, clip it, and it says “error”, and won’t allow you to clip it. I’m at home right now trying to clip digital coupons, and getting a lot of errors on several offers I had intended on buying in the next hour when I run to the store. Now I won’t buy them. Also, since the most recent update, when I open Publix , it takes almost an entire minute for it to finally respond to my tapping to open the coupons, or weekly sales ad. Not having this issue with any other app. I’ve even tried turning my phone off and back on to reboot and that’s not helping. I believe there’s something causing Publix to glitch.

Publix

2024-01-09

I think that this app is the very best grocery store in the world. You cannot beat the BOGOs! The produce is fresher than fresh, the seafood is amazing, meat is cut fresh daily and the butchers will honor any requests, the bakery bakes fresh breads daily with unbridled passion, the deli not only fries chicken every 3 hours but undoubtedly makes the finest subs bar none, the store is kept clean by enthusiastic associates, and customer service excels beyond belief. I have shopped this app for over 50 years. No matter what state I am in, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama the consistencies are the same. When you enter a this app it is like going back in time. This company wants to make sure that you have the best shopping experience while doting on you as you shop. I cannot imagine shopping elsewhere. Thank you this app for keeping Mr. George’s vision alive. He would be proud and honored that his beliefs have stood the test of time.

Would you PLEASE stop !

2024-11-17

Every time you guys “improve” something it’s ruined. Before your “help” I could go online , check the weekly ads, order from the deli, make lists, use digital coupons. Now this stupid app won’t let me get past the pick my store selection. For the record this morning I’ve “ picked” my store about 12 times. I’ve loaded and deleted Publix . I’ve restarted my computer. Truly why in the world did you ruin something that worked? I’m sick of trying to fix my problems with your on screen conveniences. I’ve dealt with people from this app about this and it’s still not working. It’s not convenient and it’s frustrating . I’m going to the Walmart app. I can go online see what’s on sale and shop. I can pick up my order 4 hours later. I was a LOYAL this app customer for 44 years. You are losing me. If you can’t handle the computer age get somebody that can and have them fix this useless system. The person in charge of your on line presentation does not know how to make a customer friendly product. You’re wasting money paying this person.

They broke it

2024-11-17

I used to love Publix, especially after they made it so your last order would appear on the home page so I could just reorder it. Now they’ve made it more difficult to find. When I finally did find it by going to my history and attempting a reorder, it told me that there was an error and it couldn’t do it. Which meant that I had to recreate my order from scratch.

This led to a couple of other problems which may explain why my order wasn’t available for reorder. You see, I only use Publix to order subs. It appears that they no longer have garlic pickles. They also no longer allow you to include additional instructions. I like lots of extra pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard. If I don’t have the ability to write that in the additional instructions, I won’t get it. (I sometimes didn’t anyway, but that’s a problem with the store, not Publix .)

If I don’t get what I want, what’s the point? It looks like I won’t be using Publix again, and if I can’t order my subs with Publix , I probably won’t be getting them at all. Your stupid changes have cost you a customer, this app.

Still useless without an account

2024-11-17

This sort of thing is why I avoid upgrading. I had a perfectly functional app that I could use without needing to create an account unless I needed to do something user-specific, like sign up for digital coupons or order something. Then someone had the lovely idea that there was no reason to allow anonymous access to Publix to do something basic, like look at the current list if BOGO items. Instead, force them to sign up and if they don’t want to, tough, go to the website and tediously go through the ad page by page.

I liked that this app didn’t insist on tracking every single purchase with a “membership club card” just to get sale prices. With this sort of “we must know who you are so we can track every thing you look at and click on” change in Publix , I am wondering if that will last. Then again, this change has made it take much longer to see if anything I am interested is on sale, so I am now significantly less likely to have an incentive to buy something from this app.

Awful New Update - Why??

2024-11-17

I used Publix weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. I scrolled through the weekly ad and added items to my in-app shopping list, then used that list at the store. Maybe it was slightly outdated but it was easy to use and easy to see items on sale that week for whichever category you were interested in - Bakery, Produce, Meat, Baby, etc. Now? Now, if you can even find the weekly ad - because it’s not easy- EVERY sale item is in one huge list. Literally 616 items this week. No categories, no way to easily see what produce or meat or pet items are on sale for that week. Are you kidding me? Why on earth would you get rid of the categories?? Who has time to scroll through 600+ items? I certainly don’t and will not. The new design makes Publix literally useless to me and I’m really upset about this because I used it so much before. Also, both the photo and price of each item are gigantic but the actual item description print is minuscule so it’s work to figure out what item I’m even looking at, not to mention the format just makes it look so cheap. I’m not sure who thought removing the categories was a good idea but it was not. Please bring them back. One more thing - no one needs the option to search alphabetically by brand name. Why is that even a function of Publix?

Mainly advertising Instacart

2024-11-17

I frequently used Publix when I ordered delivery through Shipt or sent my family to pick up items. Previous version had tabs with categories, which aisle an item could found, picture of items and a description of items. If the person couldn’t find the item or didn’t know what it looked like, I sent them a screen shot taken from Publix . New version is just an extension of instacart or to be used as a coupon flyer. New version requires finding items through search bar rather than aisle categories. If I want to know which “milk” items are carried in the dairy aisle, the new version requires typing word milk in a search bar and then scrolling through list of categories from the filter tab rather than selecting dairy aisle tab found in the previous version. Seems Publix is Instacart friendly rather than this app customer friendly.

Following up on the developer’s response to my review, I stand by my first post. The category tabs were removed so navigating through the new version is more tedious by having to enter individual items in the search bar and then using the filter tab to select items found in the store’s aisle/section . Enter “dairy” for the Dairy section, the new version generates everything in store that has the word dairy in the title, description or ingredient list.

It’s not getting better.......

2024-11-17

Each update seems to make list management a little harder. Why can’t I just add “salt” to my list rather than having to see a list of product photos and having to choose one to put on my list. I know what kind of salt I want, I don’t need to spend time finding the right photo. When I see salt on my list, I’ll pick up the right one, thank you very much. Also my digital coupons no longer show up on my shopping list. I’ve tried logging out and back in, toggling the show button on and off...no joy. iPhone 6s with latest update. Please fix this, and when you do please add the ability to choose the aisle location for them. You don’t always have them in the right aisle. I love shopping at this app, and loved being able to make my list on my phone and have it sorted by aisle, but I’m about ready to go back to a paper list. I’ve shopped here long enough I know the layout. Please fix this so I don’t have to resort to that!

Love it but needs to be fixed.

2024-11-17

I love this app and love the convenience of Publix. It's nice to see if you can find a specific brand at the store, but what I love is the grocery list. Publix is linked to your favorite store, you type what you need to add to your list in the search bar, pick which brand from a drop down menu, add it to your list, and everything is sorted by the aisle number at your favorite this app store. No more aimlessly searching for products, or calling a family member and asking which one of the 50 brands of salsa they want.
The problem is when I add an item to my list, it adds the item but tells me there's a problem with my list and crashes (but Publix doesn't close out). It also does this when I delete an item. It's not that big of a deal because Publix itself doesn't close, it just creates an extra step of clicking "ok" to the error message whenever you make a change to your shopping list. It is very annoying but the benefits of using Publix outweigh the annoyance of that error message so I continue using it. I hope it gets fixed soon though.

Needs updated

2024-11-17

Publix is for the most part very useful. I like the shopping list feature the best. It’s nice to have my list on my phone, and Publix tells me what aisle my selections are on. Since the last update, it has began to give me network errors when opening Publix , and again when opening my shopping list. Also I can no longer delete items from my shopping list, which is annoying. Again, it pops up with a network error when trying to delete. This is the biggest complaint I have with Publix . It will also place any items it doesn’t know the location of into a group called unassigned. In the shopping list, which is alphabetical, it’s on the bottom. If you don’t scroll down occasionally, you’ll get to the far end of the store and have to backtrack to find these items. It would also be nice if it could locate items a little more specific than just the aisle it’s in, but it’s still helpful. I like Publix overall. it just needs some polishing.

Please improve the app

2024-11-17

Ok so I was using the this app delivery app just to make my shopping list (helpful during the week to remember). Very easy app but wouldn’t show me where the items were by aisle as it was a delivery app. Then I learned about the this app app and how it organizes your list by aisle! Hooray! Love how it has the bogo, weekly ad, and coupons as well! What I don’t love is a few things. One is the search. When you search for an item it doesn’t come up instead it is added into the unassigned list or a generic list (not helpful!). So it’s extra time opening each category (example: dairy, milk, look for my milk) instead of just typing my Milk into search. Which creates a lot of unnecessary steps. I am currently adding them to my favorites so hopefully it’s easier next time but still the search bar needs updating! Next when you open an item in your shopping list it would be nice if a picture of the item comes up. This would be helpful sending my husband to the store, etc. but bottom line the search function needs to be updated. We shouldn’t have to go through 5 links to get to our product finally. The search works on the this app delivery app but not the this app app. Please update. Thanks.

Ultimately good for my use but can be a pain to use

2024-11-17

I like to plan my meals for the week and then use Publix to add all of the ingredients I need. Publix groups the items by isle which makes going through the store a breeze.

However, the interface and bugs make it difficult to use. I’ve got to tap three times to get to a list of all my shopping lists. I’ve given up organizing them and just use the delete all items on last week’s list.

Most importantly is when editing an item and specifying details like quantity or notes. Like 1.5lb of ground turkey — I add “1.5lb” to the notes and tap Save and it doesn’t save my notes. I have to tap the item “ground turkey” again and enter the note and save again for it to actually save. It does this 90% of the time, somehow it works and as a programmer it drives me crazy that I can’t figure out why it does. It doesn’t save quantity changes either. It would easily be a 4/5 star review if not for this bug.

Good...but not Great

2024-11-17

I really like Publix - it makes shopping so much easier...IF the person making the list is also the shopper. If someone else (family member or friend) is doing your shopping for you, you have to manually add all kinds of notes. Ex: if you look up Oikos yogurt and want to add the Mixed Berry 4-pack to your list, the shopper only sees Mixed Berry - the “4-pack” does not carry over to the Shopping List. Also, the Search function is not always very intuitive. Many times I’ve looked up an item I know is on the shelves at my store but it doesn’t come up in the list because I didn’t type it in exactly as it appears.

Thank you for all the great features Publix does have: showing the aisle number where you can find your item, the ability to change stores if you’re shopping at a different store than you usually do, the ability to add quantities and notes, the ability to delete expired or picked items with one click.

A LOT of improvements since I last used this app!

2024-11-17

UPDATE: I would love prices on the items in my list. If stores prices are different store to store then say so and let everyone know to change ‘favorite store’ in Publix . Please add a cart total and a ‘bought’ or ‘checked’ items total, as I don’t always get everything on the list at one time. This would be most helpful to me and I’d use Publix more. I hope you are working on this!
I love the digital coupon interface within Publix. It makes clipping them fun and also love that it's included in my list! Publix is Sooo much better than before(it's been years since I've last used it). I would like some way of adding a item price to it. Husband likes to know an estimated grocery 'bill' as do I. I also like knowing what I'm about to spend before I get to the register. I also love knowing which phone number to enter to use those coupons. LOL, I've been entering the wrong one!

New update works fine for me

2024-11-17

They really bungled/messed up Publix for a long time, however, this recent update works just fine for me. I can view the weekly deals easily enough, clip digital coupons, and add my stuff to my shopping list np. List is updating when things expire and I can print out a copy if I want. For those complaining about losing connection in store and not being able to use their shopping list; this app has free WiFi while in store. I wouldn’t advise doing anything past checking you this app app on it, as it is not secure, but since learning they have free WiFi in the stores, I’ve had zero problems using my app shopping list.
The search feature is sometimes unreliable with the results you get back and I wish I could see prices (even an estimated price) would be nice as I search things. New app works well and I have no real complaints so far. I took off a star because the search feature is weak sauce at times and it took you all too long to get this working. Thank you for fixing it though! Now don’t mess with it too much! Lol. I love our local this app and Publix helps me immensely, while planning my shopping.

Like using Publix a lot. Very helpful prior to and when going grocery shopping. It's easy to use and has some really great features when they work. Had a couple of technical issues with some of the features in the past and contacted customer support. I didn't expect to hear from anyone, but several days later there would always be a return email acknowledging the problem and that it would be addressed in a future update. Updates came and the issues were eventually resolved. So, I guess there is somebody out there listening. On the bright side Publix is free and it does work for the most part. I'm sure most people out there still shop the old fashioned way, A piece of notepad paper with scribbled lists. I prefer to use Publix. I am a techno geek, and like this sort of thing. I'm sure its not for everyone, but if you had some interest in trying it, go for it. If it's not for you, you can always delete it.

UPDATE to - Shopping list now cumbersome.

*After receiving the apps mgr response to my complaint, I must change my rating from 1 to 5 stars. The + button in lower right made all the difference. Yes the new layout is completely different but is useable once familiarizing with it. I do miss the apron recipe feature though. Below is original complaint.—
I’ve been using the shopping list & search feature for several years. It was (not now) easy to navigate and find items in app and while I was in the store to find an item at the last minute. Now the search results brings up irrelevant items and I have to click on an actual brand. For example I previously could add cookies directly to my list, now I must key cookies in search and select an actual type and brand to add to my list to get store locations. I’ll go back to pen and paper. App may be newly designed but far from better.
