Excellent, logical layout and reasonable price

Clock in has a very easy to use layout and very logical app mechanics. It gives you the ability to program in a specific time range or just press and hold to start a shift right when you press the button. You can enter in break time, different pay rates, and things like overtime and different jobs. You can also edit any of these after the fact. One last good feature is the ability to export shift data via email. I really liked how ClockInTime gives you access to all features for a limited quantity of recorded shifts. The full version also comes at a very reasonable price and a one time payment. In conclusion, if you are working as a handyman or anything where you are recording your own hours, this is ClockInTime you want. This is not a sponsored review.

It’s alright

It’s an okay app. But I’ve got some issues with it... I mainly downloaded it so I can keep track of my pay / hours because seems like my jobs skimming off the top. I’m trying to go back as far as January’s times and it’s kind of annoying doing it with ClockInTime. I’ll click on say April 3rd to put in the times for that date and then I have change the date within that date about 4 times (clock in/clock out/ break in/ break out). I think that once you click on the date it should auto populate the Date for that entry for you so you don’t keep doing it. Kind of annoying. Another issue is once I’m done with entering the info for April 3rd it’ll jump me back to today’s date and I have to scroll alllllll the way back to put in the next date. If these little things can be fixed with the next update I’d give it a 5 stars. But for now the $5 isn’t really worth it. It’s really annoying entering information from the past. :(

Update : it’s still pretty annoying to use. The scroll thing to add the date and time keeps scrolling back on its own after I’ve entered the information. I kind of almost want to delete it.

No clock in and out feature

Update from 3 to 5 Stars.

Props to the developer for his fast response willingness to update his app based on suggestions and or feature requests. We tend to forget that everyone’s workflow is different and as such the apps we download and try may not have all the features we want right out of the gate.

With that said, the only thing needed for this to be the perfect app for me is the ability to clock in, pause or clock out of multiple shifts and or Jobs. Based on the clean design of ClockInTime it might even be best to have a screen dedicated with the list of open Shifts and or Jobs that way you can easily pause, clock in and clock out what ever open shifts you have from one screen. The last thing that would be awesome for me with the above is the ability to clock into multiple shifts and or Jobs at once.

Thanks to the developer for all their hard work and for making this an awesome app!

=========================

Clean App, like the shifts and jobs feature however setting time manually is a pain. I was hoping to see a start and stop and or pause. Even a simple clock in and out feature would be nice.

Best app for tracking hours

Update: they promptly fixed the glitch and it’s great again. I had to temporarily use a different app but after a few days the glitch was fixed and I’m back on this one. So grateful for a prompt developer. Really satisfied with ClockInTime.

I’ve been using ClockInTime for a while now and since the most recent update it will no longer allow me to edit the start/stop times so if I forget to clock in exactly on time, I can’t correct it. I need this glitch fixed ASAP or I will have to switch apps

Overtime

ClockInTime has a lot of great functions and would fit all of the needs I’m looking for except for one which is going to make the $ I paid a waste and I’m going to have to move on unfortunately. I actually purchased this because I read a review that noted the upgrade calculated overtime but at closer inspection it only calculates the amount you make and not the hours. When I send in the report to my boss, they still have to do the work to calculate the overtime hours. Is there any way, like quite a few reviewers have asked for, that after 8 hours ClockInTime could have an option to roll over to overtime? Thank you!

Error with restoring purchase

I really liked ClockInTime in the past when I first purchased it. When I no longer needed a time tracking app I uninstalled ClockInTime . I now need a time tracking app with multiple job options again, so I downloaded ClockInTime since it worked so well in the past.

I have attempted multiple times to restore my previous purchase and each time it tells me the purchase has been restored but then does not allow me to use ClockInTime . When i try to repurchase it tells me I have already purchased ClockInTime , but all it does is show me the calendar and ask me to purchase the full version. When I click that button it tells me my purchase has already been restored. It will not let me set up new jobs, it doesn’t list any of my old jobs, it gives me no buttons for clocking in or out.

Nice concept

I like the concept of being able to track hours and tips in one place, but I have found ClockInTime to be a little fiddly in practice.

For example, often the "clock in" process fails to maintain the clocked in status and requires a manual time adjustment to "clock out." I'd also like to see more useful visualizations of income, for example by period or some given amount of days rather than just by month. A widget and or 3D touch action would be nice also to quickly start or view current hours.

Hoping that ClockInTime functionality is improved to match the otherwise nice looks of ClockInTime . It's worth a try for now, as there aren't too many apps that match this functionality.

Great app. I need one more feature then it’s perfect

First of all ClockInTime is really incredible. I use it for my business all the time. It’s by far the cleanest and easiest time app I’ve seen and frankly I don’t want to looking any where else. Pro features are definitely worth it and it’s great that it works on every Apple product I own.

The one feature that I really need is something to help me set timer budgets per job/client in the deplete them as a clock hours. This way I can set a goal for how many hours I need to spend on a project and stay on task and within budgeted time.

This could be a feature you could turn on or off per each job.

Also, I’m not sure if this is a thing yet, but if there was a way to see how much time you have spent working on a specific day instead of having to add up all of the hours that would be really cool. Like a daily hour accrual.

App keeps crashing on cell phone

The only reason I purchased the full version of ClockInTime on my iPad was because it said it would be able to be used across all of your linked devices. For some reason, after doing this purchase on my iPad, I downloaded ClockInTime on my 132 gb iPhone, which has plenty of storage left. ClockInTime on my phone works fine until I recover my purchase from my Apple ID. It’s a pain not being able to use it on my phone due to ClockInTime crashing every time I open it, even repeating the process by redownloading. Still crashes. Otherwise, I really like using ClockInTime on my iPad, I just wish it wouldn’t keep crashing on my iPhone as soon as I open it.

Apple Watch support please!

I love ClockInTime! I’ve used it religiously to keep track of my hours at work. I’d love to have some sort of Apple Watch support with basic start and stop buttons so I can just use my watch until I have a chance to get to my phone to keep track of my hours worked that day. and I would also like some sort of overtime tracker based on a limit of time already worked with normal time, and then, after reaching that limit, overtime starts to be added in.

Really like!!! But...

Hello Guys!

I’ve been using ClockInTime for a couple of weeks and I really like it. But I think you should add some other features in order for ClockInTime to be one of the best in the market now for self-employed people.

One of the features should be to organize invoices on ClockInTime once created and shared. With this I mean: Once you creat an invoice it should be filed on a section with the selected entries, and once that invoice is paid it should have an option that me, as an user, can put “Paid”. And those entries reflect as paid on the Job selected.

Right now I’m lost with which date of specific job are paid because there’s no a way to mark them.

But really like the design and the way it works.

Also if you could make ClockInTime web-based it would be awesome. That way you can organize better and work with your invoicing in an amazing way. There are no such an app with that ability but you can be that one.

Hope you can take under consideration. ✌🏻

Good app

Had to move from a previous app hasn’t updated for three years and ClockInTime is as close to that app and some ways better. If I could choose one thing they could add is a option that when you clock out it pops up ask if you want include a note if yes it goes and lets you place one in there instead of having to click on the one and then add it. But overall it’s a great smooth running app with no bugs that I can tell. Keep up the good work.

Reality

I was hoping to be able to create a profile for myself so I would not have to continually renter my hourly pay rate, and even have the opportunity to pay $2-3 to have the ads removed.

Overall I do like that it allows me to plan my schedule out for the week ahead and I can adjust it to the real hours that I work and see the money I will making prior to taxes.

Maybe for a future version they will allow a profile to be made and even include each States taxes so I could select my state and how many individuals I clam and other things that can be taken out per paycheck and see a reality perspective of what my paycheck should be.

Good App

ClockInTime is a great organizational tool that clearly takes advantage of the software that it is on. The only problem that I have had with it so far is that the switches to toggle on and off certain stats when sharing (like rate and tips) do not seem to have any effect. If this is fixed I would easily rate ClockInTime 5 stars.
Another suggestion that some people could find helpful is further integration with Siri and shortcuts. This is not required, but would be cool to see such a future-forward app take even greater advantage of the tools apple provides developers.
Thanks!

Overall pretty solid

I’ve been using it for a couple months now. Lots of good features, able to put in an hourly rate per job, 1.5x, 2x etc. Pleasing to look at. One option that would be kind of cool to add in future updates is setting a pay period and having auto overtime calculate after 40 or whatever. Otherwise I plan to continue to use ClockInTime regardless. Well done developers.

Can’t believe I paid for this.

There was an update last week that took the previously, pretty clean, easy to read interface, and turned it into a spreadsheet. As in….ugly, not easy to look at, although the information is all there! When I clock in, it usually (but not always) clocks me in at the present time….yesterday! It was so strange, and a new problem, so I contacted tech support. Which never responded. So… This new update is REALLY rough. The little bugs are problematic. I really recommend exploring alternatives before you get the paid version of this.

Features Needed

Overall, very user friendly app. By far one of the best on the market.

However, when entering a date for a shift manually, would be helpful if the END date automatically shifted to same date as START date. Also, for the breaks instead of having to enter a specific time, would like the ability to just choose 30 minute break.

These changes would make it a FANTASTIC app to have.

By

Needs improvements

It is very inconsistent and populates incorrectly. I will go to enter in a time and the dial moves it to another time. Super frustrating since I have to really pay attention. Also, I will enter my ending time and close out. Then go back in at a later time and it still has me as working. Another frustrating thing is when I login first thing in the morning, it will still have yesterday as the date, so if I am not paying attention it will save it as working the previous day.

NEEDS STATE TAX REDUCTION OPTION

Overall it is a great app and a great way to keep track of your hours but unfortunately the pay rate is not quite accurate due to the fact that there is not a state tax reduction option, in Nevada the state tax is 8% only if there was an option to apply this... if ClockInTime is updated to have this option or something similar i would gladly change my rating to five stars... really love ClockInTime hopefully this can be changed so i can continue to use...once again i would gladly change my rating if this is taken into consideration

Great app to track hours

Best app I’ve found to track my hours. Love the slick design and how easy it is to use. Very pricey to be ad free but it’s worth it since I really disliked the other apps. I wished it had the option to just round up the hours in 15 min increments or would intuitively select the same day for the end time. But it’s great !! Highly recommended

Great app!

ClockInTime is so worth its money!
I tried a lot of different ones before this one. I needed one that would allow multiple breaks. This one does. Also, easy to change pay period dates on. It saves me a tremendous amount of time from when I used to manually have to track my hours. I highly recommend it!

New phone

I switched phones, I’ve been using ClockInTime for 2 years on my old phone, and it’s been working great. Apparently they switched to a subscription model instead of a purchase model they had before, so now I’m going to have to pay a subscription for an app I purchased two years ago.

(Update)

After leaving this review the developers were quick to respond and they walked me through the process of restoring my purchase. I’ve used ClockInTime for over 2 years now and it always works for my situation, and that was a rough week without it.
