What is AccountEdge?

AccountEdge Mobile v4.5 is a companion app for AccountEdge Mac or Windows desktop software. It allows users to record sales, process credit card payments, add activity slips, enter expenses and mileage, add or edit contacts and jobs, and sync it all with the desktop version of AccountEdge. The app requires AccountEdge 2014 or later or AccountEdge Basic v2 and later with iOS 7 or later to take advantage of some of the latest features.

- Record sales: Create quotes, orders, and invoices, including items, services, activities, jobs, and taxes as necessary. Charge credit cards on the spot.

- Enter expenses: Enter and track business expenses as you spend money or make purchases.

- Create activity slips: Bill for your time when working at a job site. Select an activity, enter hours or units, and include the associated job.

- Mileage slips: Create mileage slips for a vehicle or for an employee for reimbursement.

- Access contacts: View, add, and edit your contacts.

- Add and edit jobs: Create new and edit existing jobs while away from the office.

- Sync with AccountEdge: Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch with your desktop version of AccountEdge for Windows or Mac (version 2014 or higher).

- Information sharing: AccountEdge Mobile syncs with AccountEdge 2014 (or higher) using Dropbox, a free and secure web-based file hosting service. Lists, including customers, vendors, items, activities, jobs, and sales taxes, are synced with AccountEdge Mobile for use in transactions. Transactions created on your iOS device are then sent back to your desktop version of AccountEdge.

Come on ... AccountEdge on your Phone?

Ok, so it doesn't do all that one might like, but for version 1 this is a way cool app! Having control over which cards and items show up so I don't have to carry my whole data file around is great. Not needing to show my mobile staff everything in my file is good too. When i am out of the office making business purchases, i really appreciate being able to enter them on the go and having them show up in my data file when I get back. Being able to get all my activity slips from my mobile staff without them coming into the office is great! There are some things I'd like AEM to do, but I know only more good things will be coming from the folks at Acclivity as we let them know what we would like because my experience has been that they do listen to their users. And for those folks who are upset about needing to upgrade to use AEM - come on, if you have a business you should know better. No return on investment = no sense in investing.

My new assistant!

What a fantastic companion to this app Desktop! Creating sales to clients, having item lists available to reference, tracking mileage, and entering expenses, all while on the road, makes tasks back at the office much quicker…the sync feature is seamless. The simple ability to have customer contacts with you while traveling is super helpful…no need to make sure that customers in your Apple Contacts are current because AE Mobile is!

AccountEdge Mobile 1.0 Rocks it!

I loaded it to my IPAD in minutes, launched the training demo and was easily understood the "how to" of getting my businesses transactions recorded. Just a A few taps and I can now place Sales orders, record time and expenses. And thanks to Drop Box my home office can gets the info with this app! Finally, Free from my desk to conduct business! Whether stuck in the airport, getting new business at tradeshows or conventions and this app Mobile is right on my IPAD or IPHONE, ready for use.
