Does anyone actually get their orders on this app…?

I frequently use Mercari and Poshmark, and they are my go-to for resale and sourcing clothing. At first I was excited to find the this app app since it was geared more toward baby and children clothing, but I guess I’ll have to stick to my go-tos. I’ve ordered 4 separate items from 4 different sellers at different times on the this app app, and each and every time they have been cancelled. Granted, this happens occasionally when using Mercari and Poshmark as well, but it’s few and far between in my experiences. It’s extremely frustrating to find cute clothing for a reasonable price, only to never receive it and keep getting refunded. Also, selling on Kidizen isn’t worth it, in my opinion. I sold a brand new sweater for $7, only to actually make $2 after fees and purchasing the shipping label.

If you want to save money do not use this app. TERRIBLE place for sellers

I always have LOTS of clothes to sell so I like using these apps as a platform to do so. The design of Kidizen is great but it’s a terrible place for sellers. Kidizen takes 18% away from your sells plus you have to pay for a shipping label which also takes away from your sale earnings. I know Kidizen has to make money somehow but 18% plus a shipping label fee is way too much. There are other apps like “Poshmark” and “Mercari” that are user friendly, you can also post kids clothes on these apps, and they don’t take an arm and a leg away from you. Kidizen “vinted” is my go to app for selling and buying, they don’t have any seller fees and they don’t charge the seller for a shipping label, you keep all of your earnings with no strings attached! Since they don’t charge the seller any fees, sellers can post items at lower prices to get the amount they want for the item!

So long to ship and no warnings to buyers about slow sellers/failure to send from sellers

I tried to purchase an item on here and I joined Kidizen solely to purchase said item. I waited 3 weeks to have the seller ship the item and they never did. Poshmark gives a whopping 7 days before everything gets refunded and makes sure to send constant reminders to the seller to make it happen and it is shown as a warning to future buyers when a seller takes too long or doesn’t ship at all and has to refund an order. This platform seems to offer no warning whatsoever to the sellers proficiency in their sales. If I had known the seller takes WEEKS to send I definitely would not have bothered. That was my first and last purchase here. Was not a good experience. More anxiety and stress than it is worth just to purchase some clothing.

Account disabled

My account was disabled because of an unhappy buyer. I had a woman purchase and add on item for $3. ( An add on item must be purchased with another item, not alone). I refunded her money and apologized for the confusion, to which she replied that I was “false advertising” (which in fact, I wasn’t, she had not taken the time to read the description before purchasing). She reported my shop to this app, to which they decided to shut down my shop completely so that I may not sell or buy anything from this app. After emailing them, I received an email saying they will get back to me in one business day about the issue, it has been about a week and I have heard NOTHING. I am losing time and money because of this and will recommend anyone to use Mercari to shop instead of this app. This is ridiculous. Hopefully leaving this review will get them to reply to my emails and fix things.

Horrible App and they Steal from you

I use poshmark and Mercari and LOVE the apps! I have used them for years! Both of those apps are easy to use and the customer service is outstanding!

However, Mercari I have only used for less than a year and a lady sent me over $100 in shirts that I purchased and she stated that they were Excellent condition. All of them were FAKE Armani as well as looking like they have been through WWIII....this app did NOT return these.

Another issue with this app I had was recently. I sold a pair of Swim Trunks that retail for a lot that I stated were in GUC and had not even been worn an entire summer. The buyer clearly just didn’t want them and said the waistband was stretched. I informed her that she should have looked up the size chart or asked for waist measurements as they were not stretched out. I told her and this app I was willing to accept a refund but wanted my item returned. this app stated that they don’t check their messages on their app (makes ZERO) sense and they closed my case so I cannot get my item returned Back to me AND they are making me give her money back. this app also refused to email me back.

I’ve read horrible reviews and I thought maybe that it was from people who are looking for perfection. I have purchased items that had flaws when seller said they didn’t and still kept the items and went on my way as these are used apps.

STAY AWAY from Kidizen!!!!!!!

Customer Support is Horrible!

I emailed customer service for help pertaining to a sale. They emailed me back good luck with no help and it was the most general response then I emailed back saying thanks (sarcastic) then she tried to help, and I said no thanks I needed the help yesterday that you could’ve helped then at that time and she literally could care less. Her name is Margaret Donahue I’m pretty sure she runs customer support. I finally emailed back and asked her to quit emailing me because she didn’t want to help me when I needed the help so thanks this app. Horrible Customer Service!!! Just horrible.

I also wanted to add this...the creators of this company have created a marketplace for women so they can market their own closets and boutiques to all these women and basically SELL THEIR OWN CLOSETS...this app only features closets of the creators of Kidizen. They do not feature or share others women’s closets. I checked everyday to see who they featured and it was a closet from each different company creator ... talk about community support (eye roll) so basically this app is just a ploy so the company creators can market their own closet to masses of women. Check out who they feature everyday on Kidizen if you don’t believe me.

Disappointed

I thought this was going to be a great kid-item focused app for reselling & purchasing. If you’re a mom on a budget I wouldn’t waste your money or your time. I’ve used Kidizen for 2 years and still can’t figure out a way to actually make a profit between the outrageous app fees & shipping costs. My last sale was in the negative! There are other platforms that are much more buyer & seller friendly. It seems to be geared toward more high-end items and sellers still want $$ for them even in play condition. With my budget I can’t even justify that for a new item much less one in play condition. If you’re more of an Old Navy or Carter’s brand kind of mom you’ll find those, but even more than retail cost. The platform itself does no promotion or advertising for you to help you be successful like I have experienced with other platforms. This was really disappointing to me especially since I use my resale credits to purchase my kids clothes. It helps me to feel like I am contributing something to our finances in that way and you would think a mom-based app would be much more supportive of that.

Unsure

I haven’t used it yet but I have four kids and am looking for a good platform to mainly get rid of a whole lot of clothes that are in great condition, some never used, mostly from Nordstrom, Hanna Anderson, Gymboree, Neiman Marcus, the Gap. As I’m looking I see a lot of the items that I have already for my kids, yet they are going for almost or the same price as they were in the stores. (In fact I think I may have gotten them cheaper in stores due to sales/coupons/promo codes etc). To me that’s strange, why would people sell items for the same price that have never been worn? Shouldn’t a consignment or a used goods shop be at least 50% off? Then I find out that they take 18% of whatever you sell the items for, plus you also have to pay for your own shipping which is another $4-7. Maybe I will find another app to sell all my kids clothes.

Disappointing customer service

I spend a lot of money on this site. I recently received a dress with a stain that was not disclosed in the listing- I tried contacting the seller and did not receive a response. So I emailed customer service, who asked me to provide photos. I sent the photos and never heard back a week later, so I emailed again. No response. I finally emailed from another of my email addresses to ask what was going on, and was told they never received anything else from me, so too bad essentially. I explained that I had sent the photos when asked for them and forwarded them again- with the time stamp. This was several days ago and I still have not gotten a response. I’m tired of dealing with the situation so I’m keeping the dress and will try to sell it myself. But it makes me hesitant to purchase from the site in the future, if my purchases are not protected. No sense in wasting money when I can go through Poshmark or Mercari and at least get a response when items aren’t as described.

Forcing sellers to include shipping w/new app version

I like this platform, but it is annoying, unfair and bd ethical practice to force sellers to include shipping with the new app update.

Not only this app raised the shipping prices, Kidizen did not update the already listed items with the new shipping rates IF shipping was not included. So imagine the time it takes to go back to each of your listings to update the shipping price.

Also, when buyers cart items, sellers are informed and given the option of sending them a bundle offer.
Before the update, Kidizen will give the seller and buyer the subtotal of the items and the subtotal of shipping alone, including the total amount of discount IF the store was offering a discount.

With this update, there’s no subtotal of anything being showed. Just the price of shipping and the total. Kidizen is not even processing the discounts correctly.
By not showing us the subtotal of the items separate from the shipping and total, it is forcing us to include shipping in out items so we can offer a deal to our buyers.

It is horrible to have this app raising shipping prices (even higher than Post office) to then not allowing us to make good business decisions of our 2nd hand items

It mostly good

I like Kidizen but it gives notifications and when you go to Kidizen nothing is there for you to check.. no messages, no new orders, nothing. It’s like they are trying to trick you into going on Kidizen . Also sometimes I get notifications that say the price of something I liked went down. The price did not go down. Same item 3 times this week and the price is the same as the first time I saw it and it has happened for several items. It’s almost like a trick to try and get you to purchase the item. I’m a busy person. Don’t send me a notification of nothing just to get me on Kidizen and don’t send me lies saying the price went down when it didn’t..***update*** I continue to get notifications that say prices went down when they didn’t and notifications for nothing. I deleted all my listings and will be seeking a new platform.

Worth the Download

This is one of the better apps for selling kids clothes. I’ve been selling kid clothes since circa 2013 when there were hardly any apps. I tried out Poshmark, Vinted, Totspot, eBay, Depop and pretty much anything else. This is not my top selling app but Im making a couple a week. Kidizen allows you to customize shipping options which helps with smaller sales. You have the option to bundle items and as a seller you can make offers to potential buyers. They have discussion groups where you can promote items or ask for tips on selling. My complaints as a seller are that 1)you cant edit photos inside of Kidizen , 2) they charge a $1 fee if you try to cash out less than $15, 3) there’s no way to view offers you’ve already made. As a buyer, I’ve found some items to be a bit overpriced even when they are quite used. This isnt a very thrifty app. A lot of people are selling higher name brands and looking for more than just playwear. You’ll find a good deal here and there but you will also find lots of upcharging. Sellers can also be annoying & unreasonable at times since a lot of them treat this as their own boutique and try to generate a lot of income from it. The community feels a bit clique-ish to me with certain users dominating the forums and creating their own rules and exclusive groups.

Barely functional “faves” feature

Review from a buyer, not a seller. Kidizen keeps favorites on the main “me” menu, in some mysterious order. I’d like to be able to compare faves from different searches in one place, so keeping them in order added would be the bare minimum. It would also be nice to be able to unfavorite something straight from that screen instead of going to each individual listing, scrolling down, and unclicking the heart. And have a way to filter by “unsold”/“still available”. This part of Kidizen needs a lot of attention. Developers should check out other common shopping app “favorites” features (best imo is Etsy but that’s elaborate; see ThreadUp for similar market or Target for simple).

Poor Functions/User Experience

I love Kidizen concept but Kidizen is not user friendly. Poshmark is much easier to use and has better function. I just wanna use Kidizen for kids clothes with Poshmark function. My complaints are
1. Not great cancel function. I had an experience that the seller hadn’t ship for two weeks and I canceled the purchase. But the seller could sell and, of course, payment was happen. The seller missed one item of my perchase and both of us, seller and I, contacted support. Then the seller could change the total cost by herself as she wanted even the calculation was incorrect. As a result, I needed to paid more than what I received. I never agreed the changed price. How could this happen? Easy to use for fraud. We need to believe seller are nice people. It’s a joke.
2. Keep having all shipping fees total even after you make bundles. I buy several clothes to reduce shipping fee rates per perchase and I need to make offer every time just for that.
3. Can’t make counter offer to offer from seller. I have no idea for this. Seems I need to wait until the offer is expired or make bundles again and make an offer?
4. Not great sort function. The favorite list doesn’t show seller names and that makes difficult to make bundles, I hope show the names or have a sort function. Bundles/Offer doesn’t show each clothes size, I think it’s important for kids clothes.

Good but could be better

I’ve only just recently started using Kidizen, and made my first sale yesterday. The only thing I would say could you some upgradingWould be when you go to do your own label you should be able to copy and paste the address. The fact that you have to type it all out as time consuming in the greater scale of things when you are somebody who ships a lot of items every day. I feel like it would be an easy fix for this app to do,
And would help streamline the shipping process.

Edit:It would definitely be awesome if there was a feature that allows us to Mark and the item as sold instead of just hiding or deleting it.I feel this helps give customers conferenceWhen they see someone shop because I see the word sold out a bunch of items. It’s kind of the same thing you can do with the depop.... but it also shows buyers that you are making sales even if people are leaving reviews.

Notification crazy added to carts and no one buys

This isn’t a retail app. make it clear how to find favs. someone mentioned pulling their listings, I’m struggling with that as well. I make more sales on poshmark and Mercari. People don’t know where to find their “favs” because they don’t know where to find the that list once they do. So, they add to their cart. I left a note on a listing explaining where to find favs and Magically people started to use that instead of adding the item to there cart. That tells me Kidizen is NOT user friendly. I have stopped all notifications of “add to cart” because is means NOTHING as a seller when you get that notification. This is mostly a used clothing app make it friendly. I also don’t like getting false notifications!

Great app

I really like Kidizen. It’s a great place to find gently used and some new clothes at good prices. And you can sell your child’s gently used or unworn clothes as well. The only thing I would like to see added to Kidizen is the ability to choose multiple sizes when searching for items like choose one or 2 number sizes along with the small, medium, large, and extra large options. The one thing I would most like to see added is a size 18 to the children’s sections. Now a size 16 isn’t the largest size. A lot of kids like my daughters grow really tall really early in life. But they don’t like the adult clothes yet and still like the kids stuff. I’ve noticed most retailers have noticed kids are growing taller and most offer a size 18 thankfully for parents like me who just have tall kids. We have to have the 18’s for waist length and sleeve length. But Kidizen only has a 16+ size choice and most of what I’m seeing is size 16’s. I’d love to be able to only see the size 18’s. Otherwise it’s a great app! Maybe someone there will read my review and add this for people like me.

New update: mom clothes too!

I’ve used this app going on four years now. It has been a creative outlet, a way to make money, and more than that— a community. I’ve actually made friends through this amazing app and Facebook community and it’s far surpassed all of my expectations or desires for what a kids clothing resale app should be. In the time I’ve spent on this platform, I’ve had MINIMAL problems or concerns and every single one has been met with the utmost concern and genuinely gracious customer service. This company cares! I truly have a soft spot in my heart for this app. Though I go through busier spells in life and don’t get to spend much time tending to my shop, I always turn here first when I’m needing to size up in clothes or shoes for my kids. Highly recommend to all of my friends!

5 star customer service

I've been selling on the this app app for many years. While I sell stuff on multiple platforms it has always been my go to for baby and children items. I love that payment from sales are released as soon as package is tracking, no waiting. Above all other reselling sites, this app hands down has the best customer service. I have only needed to contact them a few times, but I'm always impressed with how quick they respond and handle things. Definitely sets them apart! Highly recommend coming from myself as both a seller and buyer.

Easy to use & fun

I’ve been using Kidizen for a few months and have made 15 sales. The best thing about Kidizen is how easy to it to mail your package. You can buy a reasonably priced shipping label right in Kidizen and print it out at home, and the mail your package from home. I have been able to use a polymailer and just put the package in my mailbox for the mail carrier to pick up. The cost of shipping is subtracted from your earnings. Super easy. But I think the interface could be a little more user friendly. It should be easier to promote your listing and see what people you follow have shared. Overall a great fun app.
