Used to be a great app

I agree with the general disappointment in the current version. One big improvement - checked-off items are now checked off in my account, not just on the device I was using at the time. Thank you for that, Weggies! Much as I love that, it’s not worth all the things that are broken now: 1. I can only see 2 or 3 items at a time on my phone screen - so LOTS of scrolling. Because of the empty space for the useless notes one creates when trying to use the big + to add something to the list (which is peeve #2). 3. Out-of-stock items disappear from the list rather than being marked. Since I don’t memorize my list (I had an app for that before this “upgrade”), I don’t know what’s missing until I need to use it. 4. Truly bizarre search: searching for “salt” would be expected to yield, I don’t know, salt? First item is butter with sea salt in it. The first plain old table salt was on the 3rd page of results. Garlic? First item is sweet onions. Uh, no. While I appreciate seeing things I buy often at the head of the list, I’d really like to see what I searched for. 5. Organization of the departments/aisles in Wegmans leads to a LOT of backtracking. 6. Box for checking off items is too close to the edge, I end up opening the item instead of checking it off. 6. Opening an item send to show a useful description; now it’s just a picture. In all, the “improved” app adds 10-15 minutes to my time in the store.

Please stop deleting out of stock items!

I loved Wegmans and always told people to download it and use it but with the recent updates this last year when an item goes out of stock it disappears from my In-Store List (I understand it needing to get changed out on the curbside pickup or delivery but not the In-store). This is not convenient when I use Wegmans as my weekly grocery list. I had all members of my family download Wegmans so they can add an item if my household needs it and they will pick any item (brand, style) as long as it gives the shopper an idea of what to get. For example: my list said this app Fire Roasted Tomatoes, but that went out of stock and got deleted from my list. I could have gotten a different style or brand but since it was no longer on my list nothing was purchased. Please, if items go out of stock try a different method but don’t allow it to get deleted from my list or app. I don’t know if the answer is creating a new category that it gets moved to but can still remain on my list, such as “out of stock” instead of showing the aisle it should be in. This would allow the customer to see they still need an item so to either buy it another time when it’s in stock or to make a different selection while at the store but not forget about the item completely. Thank you for listening and adjusting this.

Improvements Needed

I use Wegmans all the time to order groceries now, but I’ve noticed several times that items just completely disappear off my order like they were never there. There is no email sent when you place an order so you can’t double check to that (which is also something else that needs to change ASAP) so I’ve been relying on screenshots.

Every single order I make now has at least 3 or 4 items that just completely disappear. Not that they’re out and they just can’t shop for them - but that they are no longer on the order at all so the shopper can’t even know to look for substitutes.

This just happen again 2 separate times on my order for pickup tomorrow and with random items. I only discovered it again because I was carefully looking thru it to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, and both times random items just disappeared (all the meat this last time!!). I’m trying to avoid the stores during the pandemic and it’s so frustrating that this keeps happening with no “official” record each time. The only reason I’m aware it keeps happening is that I’m double checking my list and my screenshots. I shouldn’t have to double check my orders multiple times in the hopes it stays accurate! My daughter and I are high risk so staying out of the stores is important to us.

Old version was so much better

I’m all for new and exciting updates to apps and usually jump on board pretty quickly but I’ve given this one quite a bit of time and it still stinks. First off, why am I no longer asked if I want to clear my list when I’ve checked everything off? I rely heavily on my list to ensure that I’m staying on budget. I loved how when I checked everything off I would get this prompt. Now I have to go in a click or two and choose to clear list. While it doesn’t take a ton of time it’s just stupid that this was changed. My second issue is that the out of stock items can’t be put into my list. I make my list in advance so just because it’s out now doesn’t mean it will be when I actually go to the store. I also like to see what I actually need, even if out of stock, and can then decide on a replacement. These items used to show under an out of stock section of my list. Finally, I used to be able to easily make multiple lists. Multiple lists were perfect for things like my weekly meals and then one for staples. I used a few different lists but now only seem to be able to make one. I just don’t understand why they think Wegmans is an upgrade from the previous version. I can’t imagine that people gave feedback saying “please take away the ability to do…” so I don’t get why we can no longer do these things.

New version needs better design

Design of the new version is lacking. Annoying design elements include: 1. Search /add product function is not accessed by the large + button you see while in your shopping list; instead this adds a useless list note. 2. The search itself suggests/auto-fills specific brands/products when you try to search for something generic. Seems this may be intended to help you easily find products you’ve purchased before, but the result is annoying since getting a list of all similar products to compare options/ prices is more work. Prior design with toggle between “my” and “all” products on the results page was better. 3. The list checkboxes are impossibly small. It’s ridiculous trying to use them to mark off items while you’re shopping. 4. When you are done checking things off you’re not prompted to clear the list. It’s annoying because not only do you need to scroll back through your list to make sure you haven’t missed something, you also have to navigate several menu steps to be ready to create your next list. Bottom line: Wegmans used to make shopping more convenient and efficient, now it’s design has cancelled out these effects and leaves users standing in the middle of the store aside trying to click tiny boxes and search for what the actually want. And we all know how much this app needs more people blocking the aisles...

New version is just bad

New version of Wegmans is extremely slow to load. It used to be great to help you find a single item in the store, open quickly, input the item name, and you get told where it is in the store. The latest version takes nearly two minutes to load on an iPhone 11. The search also prioritizes this app store brand products before other products the store carries. I searched for "short grain white rice", and the result I wanted was the 15th result. 11 of the results were for long grain white rice, a sushi rice, a short grain brown rice, then finally the short grain white rice I was looking for.

Digital coupons are also difficult to use. The old version of Wegmans had text descriptions of every coupon that came up in the list. The new version shows roughly 25 characters of the product name with no clue as to what the product is unless you wait for the image to load. Even then, you have to recognize the product from a poorly pixelated image. If you've never seen the item before, well, good luck trying to discover new items using the coupons. "Save $1.00 on / this app family pac..." makes me actually have to go click into a coupon to see what product has a discount. Way too much white space on that screen where you could instead put more product information in.

Hate to say it, but bring back your old app, or go download the Shop Rite app for ideas of what you could do with your app to make it function better.

Latest Update Ruined App

I use Wegmans nearly every day. My husband and I keep a running list of items for curbside pickup and the latest update made it so that I cannot edit items in bulk, and they removed the feature that let you say you don’t want your items replaced if they’re not available. You have to INDIVIDUALLY edit each item on your list if you want to make sure that they are not replaced. Sometimes I have 40+ items on my list. I do not want to go through and edit each one. On top of that, if you don’t select the ‘do not replace’ option, you will still get an item that you didn’t want in your groceries when your preferred item is unavailable. And if your “approved” item is also unavailable, you will STILL get an item that you didn’t select or approve. This is ridiculous. Please fix this. Or just go back to the old version from this fall. Another issue is that when you’re going to pickup your groceries, sometimes Wegmans doesn’t give you the option to let them know you’re there at curbside pickup. You have to go through your text messages and select the link that it sent you. Why would I think to go to my text messages to let them know when I arrive at the store? I wouldn’t. Again, this was working fine in the previous version. Whoever is working on Wegmans keeps making it worse every time there’s an update. this app, you need to get a new team to do Wegmans.

Missing the old app’s features

I absolutely LOVE apps that make my life easier, and that’s how I felt about the last version of Wegmans. Since we started shopping at this app 2+ years ago, my wife and I have used Wegmans to create grocery lists (either on on our phones or through the website log in on our computers). My favorite features of the old app were the ease of searching by typing or scanning a barcode. And the ability to click the “my products” button to easily filter by products we’ve purchased before. So when I type “bread” I could quickly filter by my products and select from the 2 types of bread we buy vs scrolling through the hundreds of options that we don’t every buy. It’s SOO annoying. I also liked that while you were shopping and checking things off on your list, the old app would count down the number of items on your list. It was so nice to see I only had 3 items left to get. I also liked that I could easily remove all selected items while shopping, to shorten my list to only show the 3 remaining items. That function is no longer available, so now I have to keep scrolling up and down on the list to see what I haven’t checked off yet. With no idea how many items are remaining. I hate it. The new version only allows you to clear the list completely. It’s so frustrating and I wish they would bring back the old app’s features.

Update is worse not better

I like to delete items in bulk to consolidate the list and see what’s left. I would check off items as I found them, then periodically select to edit and delete selected items. If the option to do this is there, it’s moved to a stupid place. I don’t want to edit the list and have to tap TWICE to delete every item. The check box is too small. The search function is terrible. It doesn’t search for similar terms or offer suggestions for misspellings. The sort-by-aisles does not work anymore. The aisles are definitely not optimized for travel around the store and the only other option is by department, which is worse. This update is awful. I beg you, seriously, please go back to the old version until you can afford to hire some decent developers, spend some time actually talking to your users, and get this embarrassment fixed.

Incidentally, the website update isn’t much better than Wegmans update. It’s still slow and the add button is in an awkward place. There were two improvements: the list, when I pop it in from the side, does disappear automatically so it’s no longer obstructing my view until I minimize it; and I don’t get a giant, intrusive image of every item every time my mouse passes over them.

Really like this app with one exception...

I’ve been using the this app app for years—even prior to the Instacart integration. The one thing that I don’t like is that previously in stock items will completely disappear from my grocery list if they become temporarily out-of-stock before my list is shopped. This affects customers like myself who create an ongoing list days before submitting it to a shopper. It would be helpful to alert the customer that the item is temporarily out-of-stock rather than just removing the item from the list altogether because customers (like myself) don’t always notice that items are missing from their original list. Please consider adding a design feature that clearly highlights the now out-of-stock item—perhaps fade out the item so that it can still be seen, but also add a watermark on it that says, “temporarily out-of-stock. This would alert customers that their list has changed due to certain items now out-of-stock. Plus, it would give customers an opportunity to check again to see if the item has now been restocked, or an opportunity to choose a replacement item before submitting their final list.

Worst update ever :(

This update is horrible. This is the first app review I’ve ever written, but I don’t know where else to submit my complaints. The new app takes forever to load, slowing down my shopping, when the thing I loved best about the old app was that it SPED UP my shopping. The fact that I can’t clear my list once everything is checked without pressing three buttons is ridiculous. I also used to be able to just swipe across an item on my iphone to delete it from my list and now that feature is also gone. I have to click all sorts of buttons to get rid of unwanted items. The my products section was such a huge time saver for building lists weekly. Now I have to scroll through literal PAGES of items to find what I want to add. I also really miss the clip all function in the coupon section. Having to check mark them individually is tedious at best. Lastly, when I have a huge list, it’s helpful to choose “delete selected items” to shorten things up and see what I missed. No surprise, that function is gone also. Almost everything I loved about the usability of Wegmans has been removed. I am so shocked that a company so focused on the customer has put out such a poor product upgrade. I have a hard time believing any customer product testing was performed on this version. Please update your update!!!

Stop taking out of stock items out of cart!

I love my this app app. Keeps everything I need to know in one place(shoppers card, grocery list, coupons, etc). It also shows me what is in stock and out of stock at specific stores and online instacart ordering is so easy. The one comment I need to make and I HOPE IT GETS HEARD - is to please stop taking items that are out of stock out of the cart. For many people, including myself, I use the this app app multiple times a day or week and Wegmans is where I keep my grocery list. And everytime something goes o it of stock during that week or month, Wegmans just takes it out of my cart without saying it did or anything. So when I go to order my groceries or pick up my groceries, I always end up missing a couple items I knew I put on my list weeks ago, but they were taken out without my knowledge. Even just adding a note or graying out the item would be super helpful so I know I have to replace it. Simply deleting it without knowing screws up my grocery list and I do not want to switch back to using a notepad on my phone as I love using it through the this app app!

Took a wrong turn recently

Not sure what happened a few months ago but both Wegmans and the this app website have not been working as well as they used to. I know they did some kind of backend upgrade at some point so maybe that’s it, but whatever they did was not good.
My wife and I share Wegmans for our grocery list and more often than not she’ll ask where X is and I’ll have never seen the items she added. They just never appear! Pretty much the most important feature of Wegmans for me.
In addition I’ve had issues where I’m trying to use it in the store and it locks up, tells me it ran into a problem forcing me to the home page, and logs me out. Again, this is counter to what I need Wegmans to do! If I’m in the store I need access to my list!!
And finally, I submitted feedback through Wegmans recently about finding a piece of plastic in a this app brand food item and received no response. I’ve submitted feedback through Wegmans many many times previously to compliment an employee or alert them to inconsistencies with their products and have always received a response. As a result I assume the feedback function isn’t even working anymore.
Would love it if it worked as well as it used to.

The BEST grocery app

I’m not sure how Wegmans gets so many bad reviews as it is hands down the best grocery store app of all the major chains I’m familiar with (shop-rite, stop and shop, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Costco, etc). In fact it’s not even close. Wegmans tracks your purchases, keeps receipts, presents great recipes and suggests coupons. But greater than all that is the functionality around building your shopping list and searching for items in the store. Wegmans allows you to add items to your shopping list from your previous purchases, recipes, or search function. Every item listed in Wegmans contains the nutritional information and it’s location in your home store!!! This is literally the greatest time saving convenience and no other supermarket does it. As someone who follows a restrictive diet I find this functionality to be essential, and it is what makes me a loyal this app shopper.

By

Efficient for the most part

The this app app is easy to navigate. You can find just about anything you want in the store on there providing the shopper is outgoing. The prices on some things are a little higher than they are in the store and depending on which shopper you get they may tell you things are out of stock out of sheer laziness. I’ve had to go out and check a couple of times to see for myself if the item was there and it was actually in stock. The easy handle is to call instacart to get a refund on the delivery and tip if you see fit(I’ve done this twice over the last year so that’s still really good). The items it usually happens with are the bulk items. All in all I like Wegmans and will use it at least 2/3 times a month. I haven’t used the other apps from other stores because they do not seem to have the time slots available that this app does which is to their disadvantage even though they seem to be larger in volume. You’d think THEY would be more efficient than the smaller chain but hey, that’s why this app continues to be my go to. Keep it up!

Hero to Zero

this app-what did you do?!! I am a loyal this app shopper, and with my family of 6, I relied on your app to plan and shop weekly. Your new updated app is horrible, and I’m sad to say is the first thing I hate about this app. The new layout is not user friendly at all. The colors and text are just off, but what’s really annoying is nearly every time I check an item off the list, it mistakenly sends me to the item description. In addition, when searching for an item, the old app had a feature that allowed you to easily switch back and forth from “my products” to all matches. So when I searched for chicken strips, I can easily find the ones that I buy, rather than sifting through 150 items that I don’t want. Now that feature is gone! Finally, I am absolutely heartbroken to find all my saved lists are gone. I saved lists for different weeks/menus, for various occasions where I prepare similar meals ( birthdays... Christmas...Thanksgiving...), my work lists, and lists for donation baskets. Your old app helped me juggle these home, work, and charity duties with ease, but now that feature & my lists are gone!!! this app-your old app was amazing-above & beyond anything any other store had to offer. PLEASE go back to your roots with an update that restores your app to its rightful place on top.

Jan. 2020: They ruined a great app

I've generally found Wegmans to be extremely useful. I've never experienced any login problems like other people describe, and I never get logged out of Wegmans . I like the way it sorts the grocery list by aisle (it's not perfect—some items show up in the wrong location, but I know what those are in terms of stuff we usually buy), and I like that it remembers what brand I bought in the past.

———-
Update on Jan. 19, 2020: this app released a new version of Wegmans this week. It’s useless. I used to create a new shopping list each week and add items to it. In the new app, it prepopulated my list with 35 items I had previously bought but don’t want to buy this time, and when I created a new list, it wouldn’t save items to my new list but rather to the 35-item list the programmers apparently want me to use. Plus there’s no "help" feature to tell me how to fix this. I wound up deleting all 35 items to start a new list. It also no longer lists my prior products, which is a pain—being able to tap "My Products" to see what I’d bought before and re-add it was very useful for items I don’t buy every week. That feature is gone and now you have to scroll past a bunch of stuff you probably do not want in an attempt to find what you need.

Used to be better

Okay, Wegmans is still better than a hand written shopping list, so it does get some stars. But the original version of Wegmans was just way better. You could zoom in on photos of the items, which is useful sometimes when you’re trying to read about the product. You could check the items you put in your cart and then at the end, you could clear all the checked items. It was just so easy. Now you have to manually delete each item. And maybe it’s user error, but things disappear from the list!! It could be a matter of hitting the trash can icon after the page has shifted, but items definitely disappear from the list. And as one other reviewer mentioned, you can’t add an item that’s not in stock. You can’t even find an item that’s not in stock. It would be useful, if for nothing else, so you know what aisle it would be on and you could go to that aisle and choose an alternate product. But perhaps it’s back in stock before you actually go there? So why not let us find and add things that aren’t in stock? Come on this app! Bring back the old app!!

By

Almost perfect

This is my favorite grocery app, I love the cues on where to find an item in the store. But it could be better:
1. Every time Wegmans updates, it logs you out and defaults to Fairfax, VA. Other apps don’t log me out when I update them.
2. There is no notes field to put requests when ordering curbside or delivery. So, for example, I never order from the deli when ordering delivery, because I can’t request very thin slices.
3. The coupon list slows products the coupon can be used for. But if you click on one of those products, say to see the ingredients, when you X out it takes you back to the main coupon list, not to the products for that one coupon. So, for example, if there’s a coupon for fresh juice, and you want to see the ingredients in the greens juice and the carrot medley juice, once you look at the greens juice you have to back out to the coupons, click on the juice coupon again, and then click the carrot juice. It’s just a few extra clicks, but it’s annoying.
4. The integration with Instacart is wonky.

Stopped using the app

Like many other folks have already documented, Wegmans is now completely useless. If it had always been so I would be less outraged, but it used to be one of the most useful and time saving features on my phone. Unfortunately there no longer seems to be a way to build a list for in store shopping, only for Instacart delivery which I don’t use. Also I can no longer add previously purchased items to my shopping list. When I try, it creates a new wish list every time instead of adding to a grocery list. And why is there a wish list anyway? What possible use does this feature have that the old app couldn’t easily accomodate? I also agree with the complaint that the item info takes up 1/3 of the screen and I can’t get the (+ item) thing to disappear. Ok people, I’m not using a computer at the store - I’m using my phone and you’ve now used up most of my screen for a feature I don’t need. I finally got fed up a few months ago and went back to keeping a list on my iPhone notes app. Sooooooo much easier and less frustrating. I’m only writing this review in the slim hope that someone from this app will read it reverse this horrible decision.

Favorites List and Better Coupons?

I am assuming I am not the only one that buys the same products. I would like a favorites or pantry list that I can work from to create my shopping list(s), Wegmans offers frequently purchased items but that’s not my pantry and it’s typically things I recently purchased, other list options are nice when trying to search for something I had purchase. Would like the option to add to a specific shopping list(s) and add to a pantry/favorites list. From the favorites list would like to be able to add to a shopping list. The ability to easily add to any list is not an option either, you have to go back and change your list.. makes it hard for meal planning.

this app stopped mailing useful coupons and now offer coupons on Wegmans that are not tailored to standard products and is mostly specialty. Other grocery stores give you coupons at check out tailored to your purchases or purchase history. Not this app.

Good functionality, poor style

Let me start off that I haven’t had the login issues that seem to plague some of these other reviewers, and I use Wegmans quite frequently. However, Wegmans is stuck in the early 2010’s. There’s new API’s and Apple design guidelines that Wegmans needs to take advantage of. Siri integration could be amazing, ie “hey Siri, add milk to my list in this app.” It’s built into SiriKit but they don’t use it. The style is also... old. Frankly it looks like it was designed for old people, with friendly, hand drawn icons (that look like some weird clip art type of things from Word in the 90’s). But that clashes with the rest of the OS, and old people are not using an app to help with grocery shopping, period. If they followed the design guidelines for iOS and utilized the available API’s and Wegmans would be an absolute must have for anyone who shops at this app.

Deleted items drove me nuts!

I loved this app stores! The first time I shopped, it was first 24hr supermarket I’ve ever been to. The overhead train, friendly staff, and numerous healthybrands was amazing.
Over the past several years though, I had to move and now there is closer, and farther from me. But why I gave it one star is Wegmans. My items in shopping lists were missing. I swore I boughy n brand of products there. Had I not discard the paper receipts, I would have saved much aggravation. But it was clear: this app was deleting inventory, and it was also deleted from my previous shopping lists. this app, IMHO, is no longer carrying brands I love. Instead, this app is branding their own, and its not the same. It may be cheaper, but not better.
I would give 4 stars for Wegmans had not this happened. It helps find items and aisle in store, recipes, and easily use card scan. It does not save my password after app update(might be fixed).
I reached out to this app on this deletion of items but no satisfactory answer. If you are going to stop selling item, label it so, do delete from my purchase history!

Useless App

I suppose if you know your this app shopping number Wegmans might be useful. As I don’t it is pretty useless. Wegmans constantly prompts you to log in using your this app shopper ID, which is frustrating on many levels. That ID number is only on your physical this app shoppers card apparently , which I immediately tossed as I knew I’d just use my phone number. That number doesn’t appear on receipts despite it knowing who you are once you input your phone number so the only way I can use Wegmans in a non-preview mode is to call a 800 number...because people love calling 800 numbers when obviously, at minimum, some at customer service should be able to get it for me if not the cashier. As I pretty only used Wegmans to help me locate esoteric ingredients, it is extremely frustrating to have to bypass various sign in screens to just figure out where a product might be. I’m trying to give you my money this app. Why are you making this so difficult? I’ve starting using Instacart to determine if a product even exist in the store instead of this stupid app.

Good app

I love Wegmans. I'm happy with how it organizes my list according to the store I'm going to. I regularly shop in 3 different stores, depending on whatever other errands I am running and I have no problem switching "my store" in Wegmans . I don't use location services in Wegmans , therefore it doesn't see what store I'm in; I have to choose it manually. One of my favorite things about Wegmans is being able to see the ingredients in a product if I'm not sure about something new I want to purchase. Since I cook for people with multiple food intolerances, this feature is invaluable to me. I also really like being able to see the prices of products. This way, if I'm at a different store and wonder if it would be cheaper at this app, I can pull up Wegmans and see. I do like that this new update fixed how to add to the list. Thanks!

Good but not great like the company!

Wegmans works, but it’s still pretty much the same as it has been for years with little innovation. It’s also missing several key features like the ability to “favorite” and item. Something I’ve previously purchased isn’t the same as remembering what my favorite items are and some other functions don’t always work correctly. My “frequently purchased” list includes random things that I’ve only ever purchased once if they were bought recently. That’s the big issue I have with the functionality and features of Wegmans . Ditch the frequently purchased or make sure it only includes items purchased frequently and/or add a favorites list, so I can easily see the items I love from this app and quickly add them to my shopping list. Thanks!

By

Was good

Wegmans was really good and helpful to make my grocery lists every week. But since the last update, there’s like a 3 second delay from the time you hit the new plus sign, to add the item to your list, to when the item gets added to the list and then you can add the next item. So having to add 20 items to your grocery list, actually takes longer then before the update. It’s just annoying and wish that there wasn’t any delay and I could just add items, one right after the other, instead of having to constantly wait, after every item, to add another item. I hope that this will get fixed in a future update.

Fantastic application

I don’t know what the critics are talking about this application is FANTASTIC!!! Not only is it easy to use, but it allows you to make a comprehensive grocery list as well as determine the cost of your bill. It goes even further than this. If you use your shoppers club card the day of a purchase, the next day under “my receipts” you can see exactly what you bought and how much you paid. This is the best grocery application on the web and believe me I have them all. Plus there are even more advantages to using the application than I have listed here. To mention just one, this app will match any price you find listed in any other store.

Try it and you’ll love it!!!

Despite improvements, app is still very much a work in progress

While the this app app has improved over the years, there are still bugs and usability issues.

1) Often when trying to load shopping lists or coupons, Wegmans gets stuck spinning for minutes only to come back with network or other error pop up.

2) List “sharing”, which to me would have been the most important feature, is laughably poor. The only way to share a list is via email, at which point it cannot be accessed in recipients app. This is actually worse than a normal email or text which you can copy into notes and check off.

The way this feature should work to be useful is that once the list has been sent via email/text or better yet, simply shared via Wegmans with friends (not a current feature) it were to open in the actual app, where you can check things off as you shop. If lists could be shared in real time, a while family could shop together and see what has been revived. I personally would use Wegmans almost of the time if coming out of the office I could see a “Wife has shared ‘Monday W run’ list” notification/reminder, tap on it and be taken right to the shopping list waiting for me in app.

Oh please, this is not a 5!

I used this in app my local store on Monday. I created a list at home and tried to use it in the store. I was forced to keep logging into Wegmans about every 10 minutes, and each time this happened all the items I had checked off the list that were in my cart were unchecked and I had to keep stopping to check off the same things again and again. It also wouldn’t allow me to delete items that weren’t available or add substitute items. This same annoying loop just kept happening every time it forced a login and it was so frustrating. It totally ruined my shopping trip and wasted so much of my time. What good is using an App that keeps logging you out and messing with you while you are shopping!

Wegmans clearly does not work as intended. I wish reviewers would be honest. this app does not walk on water and neither does Wegmans.

Locating all the products I love and scanning them!

(1) You are geniuses for adding a “guest preview” feature for the virtually thousands of us who never know our shoppers club card # in order to actually login. Consider replacing this # requirement with the phone number like we can use at checkout.
- - -
(2) Product locator is amazing in-app and on the desktop site. I visit 6 different stores quarterly and this is an essential feature for me.
- - -
(3) Scanner?! I’ve never used this or the Lists feature but now I absolutely will start! You should feature a “hints/tutorial” dialog about the scanner when initiating Wegmans to get people to use this more.

Handy App but still needs improvement

My husband and i use Wegmans for our shopping at this app and i have no complaints with using it in the store. I haven’t had any of the issues that others report so i can only guess that the issues are with the phone they are using or the cell service they subscribe to.

I am satisfied with Wegmans since it makes it easy to follow the list through the store to find the items i need. I have made several suggestions through a comment card and the programmers have added many useful enhancements (at least i think they are useful).

I find it convenient to just use my Wegman’s list to add products as i discover that i need then the list is always available in Wegmans , whether my husband or i happen to be in the store. We don’t use a paper list in the kitchen, we now only use the e-list on our cell phones.

My only frustration with Wegmans is the search engine. It doesn’t seem to be very robust and the search range is limited. I usually add a note to myself to find what i am looking for...

Works well!

I don’t understand what all the login issues are about… I can’t remember the last time I had to log into Wegmans . Like a year ago? My card has always worked perfectly on my iPhone from both the this app app and Apple Wallet. I love that the shopping list items show prices, aisle location, availability, and if it’s on sale. I can easily switch between the 3 stores I frequently haunt.

I’m only dinging Wegmans one star because I can’t get the store card to scan from my Apple Watch, which probably doesn’t have anything to do with the actual app, but it’s the ultimate in gluttony and I want it to work. :P #DannyWegmanForPrez

Great store crappy app

I do 90% of my shopping at this app but their app is so frustrating, I have to pick wrong items and then type what I want in the notes. I know that they have these items, but searching for them is difficult. I can type in items I buy all of the time and Wegmans cannot find them. If you type pop tarts it says it cannot find it but somehow Poptarts comes up if you know to search for toaster pastries. The search results are in no specific order (alpha by brand or order by aisle number) I have to page forever to find what I need. If you spell Kellogg instead of Kellogg’s it find nothing. Why is Wegmans not smarter?

Nothing about this app is good. It’s obvious Wegmans does not employ any actual software developers/engineers. The app works less than 50% of the time. It locks up. It crashes. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it more times than I can count. I reboot my phone every time the app locks up. The algorithms that return search results are absolutely bizarre. Bar codes that randomly scan…or don’t. Items are not listed in the order I find them in my store. But that could also be because Wegmans INSISTS on constantly relocating items. I actually confronted a shift manager in the Corning NY store once and she had the audacity to claim that Wegmans customers “insist we keep things fresh, by moving stock”. Yes, please provide statistical data showing how often a customer approaches an employee and proclaims that they are sick and tired of Peanut butter being in the same spot every time they walk in the store. This is the most ludicrous statement I’ve ever heard in retail. It’s obvious this is done for one reason: to make shoppers wander the aisles looking for the product they came in for, in hopes they’ll make impulse purchases. Wegmans won’t last at this rate. Trader Joe’s and other large chains will destroy them if they keep taking their customers for granted.
