I’ve used FidelityAgentONE for a few years now. It’s a great app and offers tons of features & utility. Best app for these purposes guaranteed. However, every few months I receive a notification stating that “fees may have changed & to connect with your Fidelity rep” - you literally get locked out until the rep unlocks FidelityAgentONE for you. Here is the kicker, no fees have changed and the purpose of the check in is not even to ensure that the escrow & title fees are properly set in FidelityAgentONE . It’s literally just a lie to force you to connect with a rep.
After a few times of this, I just started asking the reps “if I’m paying for FidelityAgentONE , why do I keep getting locked out under false pretenses?”
I’ve had one rep tell me, well our app is really only for agents that use Fidelity.
I’ve had another rep answer the call and after I said that my app is locked out again, his follow up question was not “Let’s make sure the fees are correct for you.” His follow up question was “Which of our escrow officers are your favorite to work with?” It’s all around getting me to work with Fidelity for escrow services. I then posed the question, again “if I’m paying for FidelityAgentONE , is me using Fidelity’s Escrow services also a prerequisite for using FidelityAgentONE ?” He of course said no, and then told me that the 9.99 is just for the social media portion of that app [Which btw is the least useful part of FidelityAgentONE ]
I get the point behind it all, but the way it’s gone about I feel is incredibly deceptive & annoying. I’ve enjoyed working with Fidelity in the past but these tactics are below the belt. Be forthcoming & honest. If FidelityAgentONE is only for agents that use Fidelity - SAY THAT.
Until then, I’ll keep using Fidelity’s App & not the escrow services. Then every 6 months do the same song & dance with whatever rep they stick to my profile.
