Horrible

As far as CommBank , I have no clue. As far as the bank itself, they’re completely belligerent to everything. I have never had an account with these people, yet I get emails almost daily about account information. I have repeatedly sent them emails asking for it to stop, to no reply. This is harassment and a nuisance. I don’t care who Anthony Sean Murphy is with account number ********6586. His information is none of my business. Therefore, if I request not receiving your dozens of emails, I really mean it. Please for the 20th time, quit sending me emails and his information.

What a crap latest update v4.0 which makes it useless, cannot login my account anymore,

I would give it a zero *....,What a crap latest update v4.0 which makes it useless, cannot login my account anymore, always getting invalid password even though I entered the correct password and checked again & again. I can log in the website though. Very disappointed, next time pls make sure you release changes that will not stop your users from logging. I notice the keyboard layout, used to have ‘Go’ button instead of ‘Return’, not sure if that is the issues.

1 star, asked to reregister but can’t get netcode sms to US number

Tried to login and received a message that I needed to reregister. Netcode sms doesn’t work with my US number so I can no longer send payments to new accounts as I have to skip this step during registration.
Tried chatting with ceba, that was no help, actually gave me incorrect information that I could receive a netcode push overseas. This would’ve been great had you not de-registered me.
Poor experience all round.

Multi device bug

It says up to 5 devices can be registered, but current device credential is always removed whenever I set up CommBank and credential on a new device. And there is always only one device listed in the registered device list. So basically I have to decide to use CommBank on either my work or personal phone, but not both.

New transaction notifications bug

CommBank has worked well for two years but just started doing something really annoying: every single time I go to my savings account, CommBank makes me choose to turn on or off the transaction notifications. It doesn’t remember that I just did it yesterday or an hour ago. It’s driving me up the wall. Please fix this!

The best banking app

CBA is the benchmark app for me. It always works, has a great UI and goes exactly what I need. Why don’t other banks like HSBC copy it?

Update balance calculation

CommBank does not allow me to see the overall balance of my selected accounts, it simply shows the overall of all my accounts (my self accounts and shared accounts, business accounts ) , please fix this.

Best banking app!

Banking apps are probably underrated because they are essential today. When you bank with someone you automatically get their app so you don't think about the competitors. And I wouldn't have ether, but coming from America, I was using a completely different app and bank; in comparison I must say CommBank is SO useful. It's so easy to use and understand, you can easily send bank details (which is beyond handy!), and even create new accounts all via CommBank . Someone needs a really good high five for this design!

Solid Updates

CommBank started out being quite limited (and pointless), but I'm glad to see that updates have been pushed out over time giving it more native functionality and polish. Very easy to sign into NetBank and view my balances on the go. A nice useful set of tools available within CommBank too. Good job CBA!

Not working with ios9 update

😑 whelp it doesnt work with ios9, ive reinstalled CommBank even. Works just fine till i actually log in. The moment my account is logged in to CommBank , it will consistently crash. It doesn't even load. Click CommBank , and it crashes literally the very next instant, cant even load the opening screen.
Kinda need to access my banking while I'm on the run. Extremely annoying that my banking app of all things, wasn't updated with the os. But hey I can still play Candy Crush because thats what matters hey 😑.

Good Job CBA

First time I write a review for an app. As an international student in Australia, I really love CommBank. All your account info at your fingertips, only complaint is in the iOS version you can't operate in cents that could be complicated if you need to make a payment.

No netcodes. Awesome.

Forget about buying anything time sensitive online! I randomly stopped receiving netcodes and can no longer buy anything online until I go through the inevitably frustrating experience of dealing with this app technical support.

This happens at least once a month. You'd think they'd make the most important part of their service work correctly!

I just want to use my money. Is that so hard to ask?

Good, but could be better!

Overall the functionality is very good, but a few UI improvements are needed.
The welcome screen looks stupid. Why is there a picture of the beach? It should have the balance of your main account. Have a look at the Chase Banking App.

Cannot access account with 4G

Well I cannot use my account unless I’m connected to a WiFi network. So what’s the point of a mobile app? CommBank is really nice and easy to use... when you have WiFi :/

Generally quite good

Great banking app. Just discovered categorisation of my transactions. Well done.

Two minor complaints:

1) The launch screen is drab. Please do something about this.
2) The swipe from the left edge gesture does not take the user back to the previous screen as is normally done in iOS apps.

Upgraded iPhone to a 12 mini with iOS 14. Everything quite smooth except for the Commbank app which worked very well on the old phone. The app does not appear in the settings notifications centre so notifications can’t be turned on. To attempt to fix the issue I’ve deleted the app, rebooted the phone, re-downloaded the app. However, after doing this (more than once) and entering my client number and password I’m then asked to get a NetCode. The app states it has been sent. It is never received as I believe that notifications are off but I have no way to turn them on. Any ideas?
